Sayfani Yemeni Coffee House

I had a fantastic experience at Sayfani Yemeni Coffee House for breakfast in Allen. My coffee with cardamom, almond milk, and honey was delicious, and the date cake was a delightful treat. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond with their recommendations. I tried the Adeni tea, and even though I couldn't substitute oat milk, they offered me a sample, and I was glad I tried it. The Adeni tea was perfectly hot and reminded me of Hong Kong milk tea with a hint of cardamom. The spinach feta croissant was a bit pricy, but I can’t wait to return and try more of their desserts. The lighting was a bit inconsistent, with the counter area being very bright and the seating area more dim, but it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. This cafe is a great spot to work or meet a friend, with lots of space and a relaxing vibe. It's open for long hours, which is convenient, and their selection of Yemeni coffee and tea is excellent. The walls decorated with desert and fort murals add to the ambiance, and there are comfortable sofas to relax on. Despite visiting on a busy Sunday afternoon, the place didn't lose its charm. I'm looking forward to trying more Yemeni food and drinks here!

Quality food, atmosphere, and love are priceless at Original ChopShop! As a Reiki and Holistic Life Coach, I understand the importance of nourishing ourselves on a cellular level, and this place does it right. It's my favorite health spot! I order fresh pressed juices daily, with a sprinkle of cayenne to keep my stomach alkaline. Being plant-based, I appreciate the thought put into their menu, with tons of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Even though I don't usually eat fish, the tuna salad here is so amazing I have to indulge! Try it with banana peppers—you won't be disappointed! Don't make my mistake and wait months to sign up for the rewards program! Take a moment to set it up and enjoy the perks. Treat yourself because you only have one body! My favorite salad is the Raw Vegetable Chop. As someone who isn't strictly vegetarian, finding a truly satisfying meatless salad was a challenge, but this one is AWESOME! The selection of vegetables is perfect, and the red wine vinaigrette is fantastic! I love the environment and the service—it's my go-to spot for healthy yet delicious eating. The food is great, with a ton of options to choose from. The customer service is top-notch, and they fix any issues immediately. It's a place I keep coming back to regularly! The Thai coconut chicken bowl is fantastic with fresh ingredients, and the PB&J parfait is a treat. With a variety of foods, pressed juices, acai bowls, and snacks, Original ChopShop has it all. I'll definitely be back!

Anasofia's Mexican Grill truly impressed us during our Sunday visit. We were searching for authentic mom-and-pop Mexican food, and this place delivered perfectly. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and social, going above and beyond by offering water to a family picking up an order. Miguel, the owner, chatted with us, shared recommendations, and even provided a delicious sample to try. The food arrived promptly and was fresh and flavorful. We had the chimichanga with fajita chicken topped with queso, the queso bowl, flautas dinner, sopapillas, and a sample of the churro. Everything was fantastic, especially the chimichanga and churro, which were standout items for us. The chimichanga with fajita chicken was a revelation, and the churro was the best I've ever tasted, perfectly crunchy outside and gooey inside. The flautas were flavorful with a refreshing spritz of lime juice, and the guacamole was fresh and delicious. The rice was wonderful, though the beans were just okay, likely overshadowed by the excellence of everything else. My partner loved the sopapillas, declaring them the best he's had in 20 years. The queso was a great treat, too. Despite one minor gripe about the temperature of the brisket chimichanga, the flavors truly shone through. The atmosphere was pleasant and service was top-notch, with no waiting time. The spicy queso was a delightful surprise, and the beef fajitas were a delicious choice, perfect for sharing. In summary, Anasofia's has become our new favorite spot, and we'll gladly make the 45-minute drive to return. This family-owned restaurant offers incredible authentic Mexican food, far surpassing other chains like On The Border and El Fenix. We can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu, especially the tacos for lunch!

Elke's Market Cafe in Allen is a wonderful place for breakfast. The food is perfect, and the service is incredibly friendly, creating a comfortable environment. I've tried their figgy piggy sandwich, which was amazing, and the staff, though busy, was prompt and attentive. The bacon I ordered was perfectly crispy and delicious, with a generous portion size that made it easy to share. I'm looking forward to going back to try more of their menu options. It's the best spot in Allen for fresh and delicious salads, soups, sandwiches, and sides.
Armor Coffee Co

Rita Barrow-Boy
My experience at Armor Coffee Co for breakfast was delightful. The hazelnut latte I ordered was excellent, even though they were out of soy milk, the whole milk was still smooth and creamy. The atmosphere is a modern industrial vibe with warm wood accents, which creates a welcoming environment. While the chairs could be more comfortable, if you're just grabbing coffee on the go, that's not a big issue. The coffee itself was fantastic, and the place has a great, energetic atmosphere. The customer service really stood out. The staff is incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. I had a little mishap and spilled my coffee, but they quickly helped me clean up and even made me a new one at no cost. I also tried an iced chai latte and cured bacon taco, and both were delicious. The iced chai was a bit sweet for my taste, but still very enjoyable, and the taco was surprisingly filling. The place has a cozy feel, with plants adding a nice touch to the decor. It’s perfect for enjoying a good cup of coffee. During weekends, it's common to see people working or on their projects, all in a relaxed setting. The coffee here is so good, not bitter like the typical big chain offerings, which is a refreshing change. Next time I have some free time, I definitely plan to check out the brewery nearby.
TwoRows Classic Grill

TwoRows Classic Grill exceeded my expectations for brunch, and I'm so happy I gave it a try. I initially met a friend there for lunch, and we were seated right away. The sweet tea was refreshing, and my burger was juicy with some great fries on the side. My buddy ordered the chicken salad, which was impressively large. Having not been to a TwoRows in about 20 years, I was excited to try their brunch. My parents had recommended it after enjoying their meals—Mom loved her scrambled eggs, and Dad was thrilled with his pepper bacon on the side. I decided to go for the Baja chicken salad, which was satisfying and delicious, especially with the ranch dressing and the sweet biscuit on the side. One highlight was definitely the mimosa flight, offering four flavors for just $20. I enjoyed the pineapple upside down cake flavor, while my dad's favorite was the blueberry lemonade. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I was pleased with how attentive the staff were. My server, Anthony, was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. On another visit, I tried the Honey Pepper Bacon Chicken sandwich, which was made to order—hot and delicious. The service was prompt, and everyone, including the manager, checked in to make sure my experience was perfect. It's a welcoming place where you can choose your seating, which is a nice touch. Overall, the quality of food and service is excellent for the reasonable prices, and I definitely plan to return, whether by myself or with others.
Chepa's Mexican Grill

I visited Chepa's Mexican Grill for breakfast in Allen and had a great experience. It's important to note that this is the original location at Alma and McDermott in Allen, not the one in McKinney. The food was some of the best Tex-Mex in the area. While the mole on the Chimichanga was a bit too tomatoey for my taste, it was still really good, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The beans were tasty, and the rice was, well, rice. The quesadilla appetizer was large enough to be a meal on its own. The flauta meal came with a generous portion of flautas, beans, rice, guacamole, and queso. The verde enchiladas were also huge and filling. The service was quick, and we received plenty of chips and salsa. While picking up the food, I saw they do tableside guacamole, which looked great. The restaurant was decorated for Halloween, adding a fun touch to the atmosphere. The customer service was amazing. Miguel, who took our order, was incredibly nice and welcoming, and he got everything right. The food was a solid 10/10, and the drinks were even better, an 11/10. If you visit, I highly recommend asking for Miguel. We stumbled upon this place by accident and couldn't be happier. We'll definitely be returning for the fish and shrimp tacos. The servers were engaging and considerate, especially with our kids. They even brought out a sopapilla for my son's birthday, which made the experience extra special. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. I initially tried Chepa's on the recommendation of a Facebook food group. The food was good, though not exceptional, which is more than adequate for lunch. The wait was a bit longer than preferred, but understandable given the limited staff. My flauta was slightly dry but still enjoyable, and my daughter loved her brisket taco and cheese enchilada. All in all, Chepa's is a solid local Tex-Mex spot with decent offerings. I plan to return for dinner to explore the menu further.

I absolutely love Torchy's Tacos for breakfast in Allen! Their tacos and Green Chili Queso are fantastic. We tried the Trashy Trailerparks, the Baja Shrimp, and the Mr. Orange, all washed down with a delicious Wildberry Margarita. The staff is incredibly friendly and checked in on us to make sure we were having a great time. I can't wait to go back! I do think it would be great if they added a full bar and a few more TVs to give it more of a sports bar vibe, especially during football season. Overall, Torchy’s Taco is a good restaurant. This was my first visit, and I thought the nachos and queso were tasty. I tried two different tacos, and they were good, though the prices seemed a bit high for the quality. Nonetheless, I recommend this location. My grandkids wanted to visit Torchy’s for lunch, on different days, and both times the food was prepared quickly and tasted wonderful. When one order wasn't gluten-free as requested, they promptly apologized and replaced it. I highly recommend Torchy's Tacos!
Mom's Cafe

I've been going to Mom's Cafe for breakfast in Allen for years, and it’s always been a favorite. The place is a cozy haven for anyone craving good old southern home-style cooking. Even when we arrived at the busy hour of 10am on a Sunday, we were seated immediately. The young waitstaff is surprisingly experienced, and they took excellent care of us. The menu offers a wide array of choices. Everything we ordered was hot, delicious, and generously portioned. The pancakes were fluffy, the bacon crispy, and the breakfast burritos were the best I've had in Allen. It was so good that we ended up ordering some extra food to take home with us. Decor-wise, the place is charming with cool artwork on the walls. It adds to the welcoming vibe of the cafe. Pricing is pretty reasonable, between $10-20 a plate, which fits the norm these days. We noticed their peach tea and frappe looked tempting, something to try next time. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Mom’s Cafe has definitely secured its spot as our new go-to breakfast place in Allen. We'll be back for sure!
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar for breakfast. The atmosphere was great, and the service was spot on—attentive, helpful, and accommodating. The food portions were plentiful and delicious. It's hard to find a place that serves really good tea these days, but they nailed it! Their pet-friendly patio is a huge plus, especially with its shade and heating options for colder days. The prices were fair, and there was no wait for a table of six, which was impressive. While it was quite loud due to the packed space, the food came out quickly, and there was a variety of dishes to choose from. The fries were fantastic, and the burgers were delicious. Although my chicken sandwich wasn't to my taste, the Caesar salad and soup made up for it, and the purple fusion drink was perfect. Service was attentive, and there was plenty of parking available. Overall, the food was delicious, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a satisfying meal in a friendly setting.

I can't say enough good things about Kelly's at the Village! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Mason, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The hostesses were just as personable and made us feel right at home both on arrival and departure. For our meal, my husband went for the meatloaf sandwich, and he absolutely loved it, rating it a solid 5. I tried the brisket quesadillas, which were well-made and generous in size, though the flavor profile didn't quite hit the mark for me. However, their dinner salad was a standout with fresh ingredients, delicious garlic croutons, and top-notch ranch dressing—I'd give it a 5 without hesitation! While I wasn't a fan of the provided salsa, everything else about our dining experience was fantastic. The smoked wings were a hit, and the Stella on draft was the perfect accompaniment. I do wish they had more flavors and a super hot sauce option for the wings, but they're still our favorite spot since moving from Toronto. The cozy, neighborhood pub atmosphere made for a relaxed date night, and the service truly elevated our experience. We came across Kelly's while traveling, and it's one of those places you want to visit again. Whether it's for a girls' lunch or a casual dinner, the vibe, food, and music are just right. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by Kelly's at the Village—you won’t be disappointed!
Caffe Promenade

Cafe Promenade holds a special spot in my heart as the first local coffee place I discovered after moving to Allen. The owners are cool, down-to-earth, and the coffee keeps me coming back. My go-to is the Dalgona Candy Latte with three shots, and their breakfast menu is fantastic. The croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and American cheese never disappoints. I spent a morning here using it as my "office" and loved the early opening hours. The place has a comfortable, eclectic vibe and stays busy with a steady stream of coffee lovers. We stumbled upon Cafe Promenade through Google while visiting from Arkansas and ended up visiting three times in 24 hours – it was that good! The staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Between us, we tried the chocolate cream cronut, strawberry cream croffle, iced hazelnut latte, and iced Thai tea with tapioca boba. Each was outstanding. Their bulgogi sandwich, available after 10 AM on weekdays, is worth planning a visit for. While the rewards program could use some improvement, the overall experience more than makes up for it. With its unique atmosphere and delicious offerings, I highly recommend checking out Cafe Promenade. It's a must-visit spot, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in the Dallas area. 10/10!
Hat Creek Burger Company
555 E Exchange Pkwy, Allen

Karis Hurn
We did a Daddy, Mommy, Daughter date night, and when it came to food, our daughter wanted to go to Hat Creek Burger Company because of the playground. We weren't sure what to expect, but we decided to give it a try. The food turned out to be really good. I had the Southwest burger, and my wife chose the Bacon Royal. Both were delicious, and the fries and tots were tasty too. While I was a bit surprised at the price for three meals, especially since our burgers had two patties, the fresh and hot food made up for it. Plus, they offer wine and beer at a reasonable price. The playground was a hit with our daughter, who had a blast playing on it. The ground was squishy and felt bouncy, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great time. The staff was super nice and quick to replace the ketchup when it ran out. It was perfect for a quick and affordable lunch, especially for families with kids. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, making it a fantastic spot for both kids and adults. Loved this place!
Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory
865 W Stacy Rd, Allen
(972) 737-2325
Marah Delvalle
Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory in Allen has always been a reliable spot for dinner, offering consistently good meals. I'm generally forgiving and not one to complain, but my recent breakfast experience didn’t meet the mark. I ordered a dozen breakfast tacos with a variety of fillings. Sadly, they were greasy and the tortillas were soggy, which made them unpleasant to eat. Even after trying to salvage them with store-bought tortillas, the taste didn't improve. While I usually enjoy my meals at Rosa's, this breakfast fell short. However, I've had good experiences during Taco Tuesday, where the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and quick. The staff are usually attentive, and the place is mostly clean, making it a pleasant environment. Despite this breakfast hiccup, I know Rosa’s can do better, and I hope my next visit will live up to their usual standards.
Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant

Komal Ramos Zúñiga
Visited Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant in Allen for breakfast and had a great experience! We started with their delicious chips, salsa, and the tasty pork and beans appetizer. For the appetizer, we enjoyed the table-side guacamole, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful, paired with a super refreshing Coke and water. The main event was the beef and chicken fajitas (1/2 lb), which were perfectly portioned to share. The fajitas were sizzling hot, packed with flavor, and incredibly tender, complemented by warm, fresh tortillas. For dessert, we tried the tres leches cake, which was simply delightful—light, moist, and melts in your mouth. It's the best I've tasted in Texas. However, the wait time was longer than expected, about 35-40 minutes, but the food quality made it worthwhile. Our server, Jessica, was fantastic, attentive, and always kept our drinks filled without us needing to ask. The atmosphere was inviting, with friendly staff that made us feel welcome. If you're ready to wait a bit, the delicious food and excellent service make it totally worth it. Normally, I go to the Addison location but decided to try this one with my daughter, and it did not disappoint. The queso was good as always, and the Ensalada Verde was the best tasting and evenly proportioned salad I've had in a long time. The tortillas soup, cheese enchiladas, and beef soft tacos were all excellent as well. While the tres leches cake was a bit dry for my taste, the experience as a whole was wonderful. The margaritas were amazing and definitely worth coming back for. Overall, it's a nice, welcoming environment, and I highly recommend the fajitas.

I had a great experience at The Cheesecake Factory in Allen for breakfast. The atmosphere was lively, and although the place was busy, the service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We opted to sit at the bar to avoid the line, and it turned out to be a good choice. I tried the cheeseburger spring rolls, and they were delicious. My daughter had a drink she really enjoyed, and we shared the buffalo blasts — a tasty favorite of ours. The bread was fresh and satisfying as always, and the bartender was both helpful and friendly. While there were a few minor issues like bread crumbs on the table and some gnats, the positives definitely outweighed these small inconveniences. The food was flavorful, especially the Smokehouse BBQ burger and the Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger, which were amazing. The sweet potato fries and cheesecake for dessert were the perfect finish to the meal. Overall, our visit was enjoyable, and I'm looking forward to going back. The combination of good food and attentive service makes The Cheesecake Factory a place where I want to return and spend my money.
la Madeleine
810 W McDermott Dr, Allen
(972) 338-4927
Francisco Moss
I had a fantastic breakfast experience at la Madeleine in Allen. Despite reading some reviews about high prices and dirty tables, my experience was quite the opposite. In my quest to eat healthier, I ordered the sampler combo, which included chicken salad, strawberry bacon salad, and cranberry pecan salad. You also have the option to add a cup of soup. To accompany my meal, I got a cappuccino, which was promptly served as soon as I settled at my table. My food arrived within 10 minutes, beautifully presented and delicious. There were plenty of clean tables available, and I chose one by the window to enjoy the late morning sunshine. The ambience was lovely and peaceful, with soft French music playing in the background, making me feel like I was in the French countryside. The staff greeted me warmly as soon as I walked in and offered to answer any questions I had. I was debating between a couple of dishes, and they provided an insightful suggestion. My total bill came to $15.67 after tax (before tip), which I found reasonable for such a healthy meal, especially considering the 2024 inflation. I also had a build-your-own roast beef with cheddar sandwich and a Caesar salad, which were both so tasty that I ordered another sandwich to go. The beef and Parmesan plate was delicious, albeit a bit small for the price. The crème brûlée had amazing flavor and texture, and the madeleine cookie was delightful. My husband loved the coconut cake, as it reminded him of a childhood birthday cake. The small fruit tart, however, could have used a bit more sweetness. Maria, who took our order, was very nice, and Victor efficiently cleared our plates with a smile. I didn't notice any dirty tables, and the food temperatures were just right. Despite being lunchtime, the service was quick, with our entire visit taking only 50 minutes, including a second sandwich order. The restaurant was clean, including the ladies' bathroom, which had a radio playing French phrases—a cool touch. The spacious interior and pleasant atmosphere make it a great place to enjoy some quiet time. After stopping by for dinner following a visit to my mother's friend, I appreciated the nice country, French atmosphere and the friendly employees. Even though the food presentation was pretty, it wasn't particularly flavorful. Everything we tried was just average, and for the price, I might consider exploring other options next time. Overall, thank you la Madeleine for your great food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in Allen, TX.
