Chrome Coffee

Chrome Coffee in Antioch has become my new favorite spot! Their lemonade is fantastic, especially if you enjoy a balanced blend of sweet and sour flavors. The raspberry and strawberry options hit just the right notes, while the lavender caters to those who prefer a sweeter kick. The atmosphere here is wonderful, with friendly staff that make you feel right at home. It's a nice, quiet place to relax and soak in the vibe. This cute little coffee shop in downtown Antioch impressed me with its amazing signature coffee, delightful pastries, and excellent service. I'm definitely planning on coming back. I'm thrilled to have a craft coffee spot close by in Oakley. The new build is gorgeous, the lattes are top-notch, and I appreciate the warmth of the staff. It would be great to see some local art on those fresh walls to support artists in the community. Their catering cart is a charming touch, perfect for events. The photos from my workplace at Amazon in Oakley show just how accommodating they are. The team there, especially the lovely ladies, make the experience even better. The coffee is simply 🔥. Highly recommend giving Chrome Coffee a visit!

I loved this place! I was visiting friends, and they insisted on taking me to their favorite breakfast spot, Lumpy's Diner in Antioch. I’m so glad they did! As a huge breakfast burrito fan, I was thrilled with theirs—it definitely ranks high in my book. Filled with crispy potatoes, eggs, bacon, and a side of salsa, it was simply delicious. They even offered to sear/toast it, which I love doing at home, and it came out perfect. It was a good size, but honestly, I could have eaten even more because it was just that good. My friend ordered a scramble, and it was huge! It looked absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The diner has a classic vibe, complete with an old-timey theme featuring classic cars and nostalgic decor. The prices are fair, and the menu offers plenty of options for breakfast and lunch. The kitchen sink Benedict was another standout dish—amazing. Although it was busy, the food came out fast. The eggs Benedict had perfectly cooked eggs, and the sauce was hot, which I appreciated. I can't believe this was my first time here, living in Oakley for years. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but inside, it’s a cool old-school diner with Route 66 decor and a lively vibe. I sampled everyone’s food at the table, and everything was delicious—the chicken and waffles, Buffalo wings, and sweet potato fries, all fantastic. The bacon with my French toast was crispy and not those thin strips you usually get. The staff’s friendliness and prompt service, along with constant coffee refills, were a plus. Prices seemed pretty standard. A heads up, though—they only stay open until 1 p.m., and it gets crowded, so plan to wait a bit. Highly recommend this place for an excellent diner-style breakfast experience!
Mike's Pastry Shop

I visited Mike's Pastry Shop for breakfast and was really happy with the experience. The cookies were fresh and delicious, and the cupcakes were great too. The cake stood out for being perfectly sweet and very fresh. The service was warm and friendly, making it a lovely bakery to visit. It's an old-school spot with amazing desserts; Mike clearly has a talent for this. His cannolis are among the best I've ever had, and he's very accommodating, even special ordering a cake for my father-in-law. The cake was moist and flavorful, hitting the right balance of sweetness. This place has been around forever, and I have fond memories of visiting with my mom to pick out cookies when I was little. I still come for their high-end pastries, and you have to try the Divinity cookies. They're unique—small, thick bars with a sweet, buttery, and vanilla hint. I’ve never found anything like them anywhere else. They offer a wide range of pastries and are very creative with fondant cakes, always delivering on design requests. Plus, there's a cozy spot to sit and enjoy your treats, and you can grab a Starbucks nearby if you fancy. If you're ever in Antioch, make sure you stop by Mike's Pastry Shop.

What a great place! Lumpy's Diner in Antioch is a real gem for breakfast. The food is good, and the wait staff is terrific. It's a classic American diner experience with both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. There's plenty of free street parking available too, making it convenient. I was craving eggs Benedict, so I tried their Kitchen Sink Benedict. It was worth the extra $2—nicely poached eggs with sautéed veggies and extra meats that added lots of flavor and texture. The staff was great, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I took my husband for Father's Day, and although the food was slightly oily, the flavors were decent. When we sat inside, I noticed it was a bit cold with the air conditioner vents overhead, which made the food cool down faster. Next time, I might try sitting outside. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I’m looking forward to going back to try something different on the menu.
Muscle Maker Grill

Muscle Maker Grill is an incredible spot for halal, healthy food. It's fantastic to have a place that offers calorie-friendly, non-greasy options. They even list their menu items based on different diet preferences, which makes it easy to find something that fits your needs, whether it's 300 or 800 calories. I particularly enjoyed the steak and rice bowl—it's clean, delicious, and nutritious. The staff is friendly and welcoming, especially Sammy, who greeted us warmly. His passion for providing top-notch customer service shines through in the quality of the dishes and smoothies. Speaking of smoothies, they’re absolutely delicious, made from natural fruits and veggies. Sammy goes out of his way to make sure your meal is exactly how you like it and offers great suggestions. Despite a few hiccups with the service—waiting longer than expected for our food and some mix-ups with orders—the quality of the meals and the welcoming atmosphere make up for it. It's clear they're a popular spot, and with a few tweaks in service prioritization, they'll be even better. The chicken burger was alright, but the bun was notably soft and fluffy. The sweet potato fries could use a bit of work, though they were decent. Overall, Muscle Maker Grill is a hidden gem for those looking for healthy, halal meals. I don't often give 5 stars, but this place is definitely worth a visit, and I'm hopeful they'll improve the service timing soon. Despite the wait, the kindness of the staff and the quality of the food make it a place I'd return to.
MJ's Downtown Cafe

I just came back from MJ's Downtown Cafe for breakfast, and there are so many wonderful things to highlight. First off, the service and attention to detail are amazing. We were treated like royalty, and everyone is super nice. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. The atmosphere inside is surprisingly spacious, much larger than what I expected from the outside view. We chose to sit outside, and it was pleasantly quiet given the limited street traffic. It’s also great that anything on the menu is available at any time, which is a huge plus for anyone with a particular craving. The food was fantastic, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. The sandwiches are delicious, especially the chicken salad one. You must try the huevos rancheros—oh man, they were amazing! The coffee is always fresh, and the pastries are a delightful treat. Portions are more than adequate, leaving you satisfied and happy. Jose, one of the staff members, is consistently friendly and funny, making each visit enjoyable. Mario is one of my favorite servers, very patient and welcoming. Overall, I've had great experiences at MJ’s, and it’s become one of my favorite spots for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Next time I’m looking for breakfast, I’ll definitely keep this place in mind.

Brentwood Cafe is a fantastic spot for breakfast in Antioch. Despite a few visits where the service was a tad lacking, the food here shines. Whenever I'm there, whether for dine-in or takeout, the menu never fails to impress. The classic old-world charm adds to the experience, and the extensive menu ensures there's always something new to try. Parking is a breeze with ample space, so there's no need to worry about finding a spot. Each time I visit, I look forward to the delicious breakfast and coffee, which never disappoints. Even when arriving later in the morning, the wait is minimal. The staff, when not preoccupied, can be friendly and attentive. Overall, the delightful atmosphere and great food guarantee I'll be returning for more breakfasts in the future.

Sylvia's Country Kitchen

I recently visited Sylvia's Country Kitchen in Antioch for breakfast on Father's Day, and it was a great experience! Sylvia's is a fantastic spot for both breakfast and lunch, known for its big portions and tasty dishes. I ordered the lumberjack plate, which included two eggs, four bacon strips, country potatoes (for a small extra charge), and four pancakes. It was a hearty and satisfying meal, and I left feeling full and happy. I've been going to Sylvia's for years, and I've always enjoyed the food. The country fried steak with eggs, hash browns, and biscuits is another favorite of mine, and the portions are generous. You definitely get your money's worth here. During a recent visit with friends, we had a lovely time catching up. We stayed for nearly four hours, and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, even when the place got busy. It's this kind of hospitality that makes Sylvia's special. While there have been some bumps with service in the past, I appreciate the overall welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. I look forward to returning and enjoying another great meal at Sylvia's Country Kitchen.

I haven't been at this spot since high school, and I'm thrilled to say the food is still top-notch. Today, I decided to treat myself to a super burrito and two crispy chicken tacos. They were perfectly cooked and tasted just like I remembered. The service was fantastic, taking no more than 15 minutes. While you wait, you can admire the collection of pesos from different years displayed on the wall. It's a 10/10 experience. Their food is truly delicious! Since leaving East Oakland, I hadn't found a good Mexican restaurant, but here it is. This is a superb, family-owned place, and I'm definitely coming back for more. Shout-out to the young man who took my order—see you soon! If you're in Antioch, especially if you're showing homes like I was, stumbling upon this real taco spot is a treat. The best tacos around—yum! Bonus: I wrote an offer and got my clients the house on W 20th Street, so now I have two great reasons to visit Antioch. #Antioch #remaxhustle #bestkeptsecret
Black Bear Diner Oakley

Black Bear Diner in Oakley, California, offers a comfortable dining experience with affordable prices. Located conveniently in downtown Oakley, it has plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. The staff is outstanding and attentive, making sure you're taken care of. The menu is extensive, allowing you to enjoy breakfast any time of the day. However, the wait time was a bit long when I visited, which I understand given the busy Father's Day crowd. My food was served quite late, and the pot roast I ordered lacked seasoning while my father-in-law found his turkey too salty with canned-tasting green beans. The mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent, though. Overall, the meal was mediocre, and I skipped dessert due to disappointment. It's not very vegan-friendly, as my veggie burger came with dairy-based condiments not mentioned in the menu description, which left me feeling bloated. This place is fine for standard diner food but not a fit for my preferences.

As a fitness enthusiast, indulging in a cheat meal isn't something I do often, but Burger Time in Antioch makes it worth every bite. Their bacon is cooked to perfection, delivering fantastic flavor, and the whole place has that nostalgic, classic American burger joint vibe. It's a small, unassuming spot, but that's part of its charm. The customer service is outstanding, with a team of genuinely nice people who work hard to make your visit enjoyable. My kids absolutely love going there on the weekends because of their great kids menu and the incredible desserts that appeal to both kids and adults. The outdoor dining area is a bonus. Their burgers are what keep me coming back. They're fresh, big, and made with quality beef and fresh toppings—they're simply fantastic. I'm picky about my burgers and won't settle for just any place, so I'm thrilled to have this gem in my neighborhood. The french fries are decent, but the burgers are the real stars here. And let's not forget their great shakes and soft serve ice cream. If you're in the mood for a deliciously indulgent meal, I highly recommend giving Burger Time a try. And don't forget to tip!

I visited Dad's Cafe on a Saturday morning, and even though it was packed with large groups, I was there to grab a to-go order. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and I was helped immediately by a super nice lady who guided me in picking the perfect breakfast. While waiting, the old-school sticker machines and toys caught my eye, bringing back fun childhood memories. I ended up ordering a few items: 1. The Dad's Breakfast sandwich was a messy perfection. It had a thick slice of ham, thick bacon, cheese, and an over-medium egg. It really hit the spot. 2. The corn beef hash and eggs were simply delicious. I appreciated the lack of fancy chopped bell peppers and onions—just perfectly seasoned potatoes and corn beef hash that needed no extra condiments. 3. The French toast was amazing, even after taking it home. The syrup was fantastic, and the bread was fluffy. 4. The pancakes were just as satisfying as the French toast. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely return. I highly recommend it—admittedly, I devoured everything. The portions were generous, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. Dad's Cafe is now my new breakfast standard. Great job, Dad's!

The moment I walked into Miller's Cafe for breakfast, I was struck by the gorgeous interior. The walls are adorned with beautiful art, and the layout is just right. I decided to try their French toast, and let me tell you, it was probably the best I've ever had. The staff, particularly the ladies, were incredibly sweet and made the experience even better. Miller's feels like home. It's exactly how a diner should feel - good food, good atmosphere, and good people. Even the other customers added to the pleasant vibe. I've been to Miller's many times and plan on continuing to visit. My experiences have always been positive, and I appreciate the friendly nature of the staff. Although I haven't tried takeout yet, I did stop by once to check on a to-go menu. While they didn't have one, the staff was helpful and welcoming. Overall, Miller's Cafe is doing a lot right, from their delicious food to their warm service. It's a place that genuinely cares about creating a good experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Bagel Street Cafe in Antioch is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The bagels are fresh, and the cream cheese is delicious. I tried the bagelwich with salmon, peppercorns, and tomato, and it was perfect! It's definitely worth it, and the staff is always pleasant. I recommend ordering online to avoid any mix-ups. My favorite is the lox with spinach on a roll, which they substitute at no extra charge. While the inside atmosphere is a bit dark and cluttered, takeout is the best way to enjoy their amazing bagels and muffins. The staff is super friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. For a quick morning bite, it's a solid choice. All bagels are made fresh, making it a great place to start your day.

Beats fast food any day. Real food, real fast. Tastes like any mom and pop sit-down restaurant. Authentic Mexican joint! The salsa is on point, with just the right heat. I won’t pass by without stopping ever again. The Chili Verde was smacking. Fast and tasty tacos with rice and beans plates. Carne asada and fish tacos are the only ones that are soft tacos; all the others come in crispy shells. Check out the menu for lots of other options! The food was good, and I appreciated the free chips, but the service could use some improvement. The staff seemed upset, especially when telling us to look at the menu ourselves, which was really disappointing. I’ve been here a couple of times, but I'm not sure I’ll return. However, this is the best place to grab a bite early in the morning. Their mini tacos aren't mini—three of them will fill you up nicely. The best deal on them is Tuesday.

Monica's Riverview in Antioch offers an enjoyable atmosphere with a beautiful location right by the water. The chill vibe, live music, and mimosa bar create a welcoming setting for breakfast. The pancakes were a standout, delicious and satisfying. The staff was friendly, which added a nice touch to the experience, even though service could have been a bit more attentive with checking in on guests and refilling drinks. While the steak sandwich was not as expected—being overcooked and dry—the lovely setting made up for some of these shortcomings. Watching the water as you wait provides a relaxing start to the day, and the overall ambiance is perfect for a laid-back lunch or early dinner. Prices are on the higher side, but the view and atmosphere might just make it worth the visit. Though not every dish hit the mark, the location and vibe definitely make Monica's Riverview a place to experience at least once.

Country Waffles in Antioch is a great spot for breakfast. The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. I appreciated Jessica's warm hospitality during my visit. The Denver omelet is packed with flavor, and the hash browns and half waffle on the side were a nice touch. The prices are reasonable, similar to what you'd find at Perkins but with a higher quality experience. The staff works hard, and it shows in their attentive service. While I'm not a fan of their bacon and was surprised they don't serve grits, the overall experience was positive. It's a place where I felt well taken care of and left satisfied with my meal.

I had a fantastic breakfast experience at the Denny's in Antioch. Eloisa was incredibly attentive and friendly, making our breakfast outing truly enjoyable. The banana pancakes we ordered were delicious, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. A big thank you to Eloisa for her exceptional service! Additionally, Blanca is my favorite waitress. After working late nights, it's such a relief to come to a place that's open and be greeted by Blanca's kindness and great memory. Her hospitality always makes my visits special. I've noticed the food has improved, and the presentation is appealing. I've also tried the Bourbon Chicken Skillet, which has become my favorite non-breakfast item. During my visits last week, Pablo took great care of me. He was polite and ensured my orders were accurate without being overbearing. Denny's is lucky to have him. Overall, the staff at this location delivers excellent customer service, and the food is consistently well-prepared. It's always a pleasure to dine here.

I enjoyed a visit to Mel's Diner in Antioch, California, for breakfast, where I had a delightful meal with my companion. The staff was welcoming even though we arrived 45 minutes before closing. Our waitress was fantastic—funny, kind, and impressively remembered six orders without writing them down. The young man making milkshake freezes was also a highlight, crafting delicious drinks. I had the French toast, wings, and fries, while my companion enjoyed a Sprite and an Americano. The meal was satisfying overall, though there was a mix-up with my order as it included pork when I had specifically requested none. Despite this, the pancakes and eggs were decent, and it's a good spot if you're looking for affordable food. The atmosphere was a bit concerning due to the presence of homeless individuals and dogs near the entrance, which wasn't the best introduction to the restaurant. It's something to be aware of, especially if planning to bring guests. Unfortunately, the portion sizes have decreased, and I did notice the potato salad was quite small. Overall, the meal and service made for a pleasant experience, but there are some areas that could use improvement. Still, the friendly and efficient staff left a positive impression.
