I visited Taqueria Taxco for breakfast in Arlington and had a wonderful experience. Despite being busy, the staff was quick to take and prepare my order without any issues. The food was mouthwatering and the portions were generous, providing plenty of leftovers. The atmosphere was lively and the staff was friendly. There are lots of vegetarian options, which I appreciated. It's definitely worth the walk from UTA to enjoy a delicious and affordable meal here. Highly recommend checking it out!

I had my first of what will be many visits today! I'm so glad to have found this Czech bakery in Arlington. The kolaches (I got one of almost every flavor) and cinnamon rolls are delicious! The pumpkin flavor for fall is available! They open at 6 am, and everything is freshly made, warm, and baked to perfection. I totally recommend this bakery! Previously, I only tasted their treats at the office for gatherings, and I must say they are outstanding! Plus, they have 2/3 less sugar than a donut! The customer service is wonderful! The cream cheese chocolate kolache was absolutely amazing—something I never knew I needed in my life! It was coupled with the most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. The sausage was great, too. The dough is light, fluffy, and has the perfect dainty sweetness. If you live even remotely close to Arlington, you need to get there now! I tried the Apple, Lemon, Blueberry, and Strawberry kolaches, and they all tasted so fresh! The flavors are authentic and don't taste artificial like other places I've tried. The bread-to-filling ratio is perfect for me, and it was so buttery and pillowy soft. Definitely better than what I've had in West, TX. It's a shame I barely tried this place today for the first time after living here for so long. I will be coming back here often for sure!

If you're looking for a hearty, down-home meal made fresh every time, Pioneer Restaurant is a great choice. It's slightly off the beaten path but easily accessible between Interstate 161 and 360 on the Arlington side. While weekends can get busy, my husband and I enjoy visiting during the week for breakfast—it always starts our day off right! I've been a regular here for three years, and I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently awesome, and the service is excellent. During my first visit on June 23, 2024, I ordered the pork chop and eggs with hash browns and biscuits n' gravy. The pork chops were on the smaller side and thinly cut, but they were cooked well and didn't dry out. The eggs were cooked well too, though slightly runny, but not bad at all. The hash browns had a soft texture and tasted great, and the biscuits and gravy were delicious, although the biscuits were a bit hard on the outside. Once open, they were nice and soft. My wife ordered the fajita omelet, hash browns, and biscuits n' gravy. She's usually picky about her hash browns, but she enjoyed these a lot. The fajita had good flavor, and I imagine the onions and green peppers added even more taste to it. We'll definitely visit again and try something else. The ambience at Pioneer Restaurant is inviting, encouraging you to stay awhile and enjoy your meal. It's a great breakfast and lunch spot, and the owner and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Although I might not choose the pork chop n' eggs again, I won't rule it out completely. It's a great establishment, and we always look forward to coming back for more delicious meals.

I've been coming to this Shipley Do-Nuts in Arlington since I was a kid, and it's hands down the best one around. There are plenty of locations, but this one just feels like home. The ham and cheese kolache is my favorite, and the donuts, especially when they're warm, are unbeatable. Just ask for them warm! The coffee with flavored creamer is a perfect pairing, and I've always found the breakfast sandwich fresh and satisfying. I've enjoyed Shipley’s throughout Texas, from Houston to Dallas, and in my opinion, they’re the best donuts in the nation. I've been to this particular location a couple of times, and it never disappoints. The young lady who helped me today was genuinely kind and hardworking, making sure I had everything I needed. Her warmth made my day better. The donuts themselves are a work of art—so much so that I had to take a picture! One downside has been the occasional unavailability of coffee closer to closing time, which is a bit frustrating. However, the overall experience and outstanding quality of food keep me coming back.

Great place for a down-home country breakfast. The portions are just the right size, and they keep your coffee cup filled. The hash brown skillet is very crispy and flavorful. The biscuits are little pillows of goodness, and the gravy hits the spot. The pancakes are just the right size and very filling. The staff is friendly and fast. The prices are very reasonable. Texas Benedict provides a tasty variation of a classic dish! Mexi-skillet has average flavors. The waffle is solid and soaks up syrup just great. The staff is friendly, if a bit laid back. Sarah (or was it Fatima?) was kind, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. The delicious food will bring me back. Everything was really good, cooked to order. The Huevos Rancheros was one of the best I’ve had in a while. My wife had the croissant with eggs, bacon, and cheese. She joked that butter was definitely harmed in the making of this sandwich—which is a good thing! The side of bacon included four pieces, and together with good coffee and great service with a smile, it made for a wonderful experience at this community diner.

Skillet & Grill Inc is our go-to spot for family breakfasts in Arlington. We love the simple diner vibe, with the "please sit yourself" sign making us feel right at home. The flies can be a bit annoying during the hot summer months, but it's manageable. Our favorites include the skillet grill blanket and the chicken and waffles. The shop is conveniently close to my grandma's house and our church, so I decided to give it a try, and I was not disappointed. This is hands down the best donut shop ever. They have the freshest donuts, and the staff is always friendly. I've been a loyal customer since 2018, and the quality has remained top-notch. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Their donuts are always fresh and hot, and the variety of pigs in blankets is impressive. Some even have slices of jalapeños, which I absolutely love. My personal favorites are the pepperoni pocket and the apple fritter. The employees are consistently fast and friendly, making every visit a pleasant experience. While the debate for the best donuts in Arlington continues, I'll keep coming back here. The pepperoni pocket is phenomenal, and I might have discovered the best blueberry cake donut in Texas.

The service is top-notch, with the staff ensuring that my coffee cup was never empty throughout the meal. The dining area does have a hint of an old, slightly off-putting smell, but it's a minor distraction. The omelets are the main attraction here, and they consistently hit the mark. They're hearty, satisfying, and served with generous portions of potatoes and your choice of bread or biscuit and gravy. It's not just the food that stands out; it's the value for money. This isn't the kind of place you'll find on trendy lists or in a hipster magazine, but it doesn't need to be. It's a hidden gem frequented by locals and older folks who appreciate its charm and affordability. I first tried Rise & Shine during the pandemic, and I regret not discovering it sooner despite my frequent visits to Arlington. This visit marks my third or fourth time here, and I've yet to be disappointed. The place may appear a bit run-down, but don't let that fool you. It's an excellent spot for breakfast, offering delicious food, generous portions, and friendly service—a true classic that deserves to be more widely known.

The staff at the Waffle House in Arlington was incredibly friendly and attentive, especially Macias, who made sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was delicious – the waffles were perfectly cooked, and the eggs and bacon were spot on. I was impressed with how quickly my food arrived, even though the restaurant was quite busy. It's probably the busiest Waffle House I've ever been to, but they run it like a well-oiled machine. Everyone is in sync, and I saw nothing but great teamwork. Dyamond, my waitress, was very attentive and got my order perfectly. The coffee was fresh and hot, and the food was perfect. Also, credit to Shay, who has a great aura that transmits good vibes. This amazing group of people is friendly even at midnight. The food is freshly made and tastes great, especially when you try everything smothered and covered. There's nothing quite like sitting at the counter of a busy Waffle House. Our waitress was friendly and kind, memorizing and delivering our order to the cook. The waffles were crispy, light, and delicious. The bacon was crispy, and the hash browns were perfectly seasoned. The coffee was a little weak for my taste, but overall, I had a terrific time and will definitely be back for more tasty meals. Highly recommend!

This Waffle House in Arlington is a fantastic spot for breakfast. I love coming here on the weekends when I want a break from cooking. The servers are excellent, and they have a Touchtunes jukebox, so you can pick the music while you eat. My son and I had a great time jamming to good tunes with the cheerful and hardworking staff. It was like watching a choreographed performance, filled with positive vibes. This place has become a monthly ritual for us. The food is always fantastic and fresh, and I love watching them cook from a counter seat. There's even a bit of singing and dancing, which really hypes you up to face the day. Waffle House is where I go when I’m feeling overwhelmed, but now it’s more than just about the food; it’s about an amazing woman named Jayne. Jayne is the reason I keep returning. She's so kind and genuinely makes me feel at home every time. The staff is always friendly, and you can tell they love their job and get along well with each other. To me, the atmosphere is just as important as the food, which is consistently good and always made right. Thanks to Jayne and the wonderful team, this Waffle House is my go-to spot for a pick-me-up. I had an excellent experience at Blue Mound Cafe on Little Road in Arlington. The food was truly impressive. The loaded fries were fantastic, and the Chicken Fried Steak hit the spot. I can't get over how spectacular the French toast was, and the banana split pie was a delightful end to the meal. The Berry Delight my wife ordered was a hit with her, and my cinnamon breakfast was incredible. The service was awesome, with our server, Gracy, going out of her way to accommodate my unusual requests. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a classic diner, which fits perfectly in the old west-themed location. It's great to have a spot like this without needing to drive to Saginaw or North Richland Hills. While the pricing is a bit on the higher side, you definitely get your money's worth with the generous portions and quality food. They open early at 6 am, which is perfect for early birds like me, and it's a bonus that they serve breakfast all day. Although the kitchen was a bit slow on this particular Friday morning, it didn't detract from the overall experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the large and appealing menu.
