Caramel Cookie Waffles Co.

This spot is a gem for breakfast and lunch in Billings! The salads here are made with quality greens, not the usual iceberg lettuce, and the pasta salad is unbelievably delicious. I can't get enough of their chicken pastries—they're irresistible. The caramel cookie waffles are a must-try, and the croissants are the best around. Even though it's always busy, it's easy to see why. The service is great, with friendly people who make you feel welcome. However, I have noticed some changes over time. The croissants are still good, but not quite as amazing as before. I was a bit disappointed to see the sandwich price go up while the contents seemed to decrease. For instance, when I ordered a sandwich without mayo and added onion, they charged extra, but the portion was minimal. There used to be more sprouts, but now there are just a few wisps. It’s not the same value it once was. I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars because of this decline. Additionally, there was an issue with how they handle food allergies. My mother had an allergic reaction because everything is prepared on the same surface, including items with nuts. Unfortunately, no signs indicated this, and they didn't offer a refund. Until they address this, we won’t be returning. On a brighter note, the coffee is amazing, with gingerbread lattes available all year round. The Dutch sausage pastry is always delicious, and the pastry selection is fantastic. It's a family-owned business with unique pastries, and their caramel waffle cookies are incredible.

Great Harvest Bread for breakfast in Billings is truly a gem. For those who, like me, are visiting for the first time, you're in for a treat—they offer a free slice of any bread they have out, and it's delicious. The cinnamon bread is incredibly soft and tastes like a dessert. That alone makes it worth recommending. Their sandwiches are top-notch, and the penne style is a nice twist. It's the best spot for homemade soup, bread, and sandwiches. Make sure you get there early to grab some vegetable beef soup; it’s reminiscent of my grandma's homemade stew. I’ve never been a fan of soup, but I'd happily eat Great Harvest's every day. The jalapeño cheddar bread makes an amazing ham or turkey sandwich, and their sweet spreads for the cinnamon bread are outstanding. What I appreciate most is the way they make their food—it’s not overly salty like other places, and I feel healthier after eating here. The atmosphere is great, and everything from the bread to the sandwiches is simply delicious. Highly recommend! 👍😋

Sophie's Kitchen in Billings is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The food is delicious, and the mimosas are top-notch. I highly recommend the Stacey's Scramble with avocado, and the bacon, egg, and arugula sandwich is a must-try. The pear almond mimosa is a delightful choice, and the strawberry rhubarb mimosa is also worth mentioning. I enjoyed the grilled cheese and Caesar salad, along with a virgin Bloody Mary. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is upscale diner-style, perfect for relaxing alone or with friends. Though the cost can be a bit steep, with a salad and sandwich going for $25, the quality makes up for it. I came across this gem while driving from Canada, and it was a wonderful discovery. The Eggs Benedict I ordered was fantastic, and the server, chosen by my husband, did not disappoint with her recommendation. The atmosphere and service are truly exceptional, especially our waitress with the amazing ink! The manager and staff were responsive and attentive, adding to the overall experience. A big thank you to Dawn for her fantastic attention to detail. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

Yummy! The breakfast panini-style sandwiches at Great Harvest Bread Co. are awesome and bring me so much happiness. The customer service is excellent, and the atmosphere is nice with adequate seating. I can't get enough of the pumpkin chocolate chip bread; it's amazing. Located on the corner of 32nd and Central, this place offers great sandwiches, soups, and breads, all made fresh and to order. I love that they give you a slice of bread while you wait. Their baked goods, like cinnamon rolls, scones, and cookies, are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. However, I was disappointed to learn they don't bake fresh bread on the weekends. Selling dried-out bread at full price isn't acceptable for a bakery that prides itself on freshness. It's important to know how long they keep bread on the shelf and sell it as fresh because that's a big disappointment for me.

Stella's Kitchen & Bakery in downtown Billings is a breakfast gem. Everything I tried was delicious, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The restroom was clean and pleasant, which is always a nice touch. We started with a slice of coffee cake, ordered the country fried steak, and enjoyed the crepes combo with huckleberry topping, along with some tea and coffee, all for just $32.80—excellent value for what you get. The country fried steak stood out, but I'm sure anything on the menu would impress. The selection of cakes and bread looked tempting, and I'd bet they're all delicious. The biscuits and gravy were particularly amazing! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a family outing or a casual breakfast with friends. Although parking can be tricky since it's downtown, there's a garage nearby. On Sundays, they serve breakfast only, which works out great if you're in the mood for a morning treat. The huckleberry crepes were a highlight—some of the best crepes of my life! I also took home some delectable cinnamon rolls and huckleberry honey from their bakery section. The food is fresh and made from scratch, including the best corned beef hash I've ever had, served with fluffy pancakes. Stella’s Kitchen & Bakery is a fantastic spot for breakfast, and I’m thrilled I decided to visit during my trip. I'll definitely be coming back!

Coming from the East Coast, I'd never been to a City Brew Coffee before moving to Billings, and I have to say, I prefer it over Starbucks now. The Huckleberry Iced Mocha is easily the best drink I've had in a long time! Their menu is diverse enough that there's always something new to try for breakfast. What I love about City Brew is the cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's a great spot to start the day or catch up with a friend. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, making sure to get your order just right. My orders have been accurate every time, and the service has been quick even when they're busy. The environment is perfect whether I need a place to work with a good cup of coffee or just want to relax for a while. It’s clear they care about customer satisfaction and quality, making it a go-to spot for locals and newcomers like me. City Brew has truly become my favorite morning stop in Billings!

Absolutely the freshest bagel sandwich in town! This little bagel shop is a hidden gem in Billings. They serve an impressive array of bagels, sandwiches, Italian sodas, soups, and salads, along with espresso and coffee. The variety of cream cheese is fantastic, making each visit exciting. The shop is clean, and the staff members are pleasant, which makes for a nice experience whether you're grabbing lunch or a quick snack. The sandwiches are very filling, and I appreciated the provided foil and brown bag for carry out. Their food is excellent, with amazing, creative, and fun bagel selections. Everything is delicious, affordable, and filling, and the service is quick and friendly. One memorable visit involved ordering a simple ham sandwich, but I decided to ask for it on a pizza bagel. What arrived was the best sandwich I've ever had. It was a delightful surprise that made my day, and I couldn't be more grateful to the person who crafted it. They truly deserve the best for creating such a masterpiece. We often pick up a couple of dozen bagels at a time. I call ahead, and every time I've done this, everything is ready for pickup when I arrive. The staff is friendly, and the bagels are consistently yummy. We particularly enjoy the cinnamon raisin, cinnamon sugar, onion, and lemon poppyseed varieties. They freeze well and make a great breakfast treat. Overall, this place is pretty good, with consistently high-quality food and service. Definitely a spot to return to whenever we're in Billings. 8/10.

Oh. My. God! I just had an amazing breakfast at Tippy Cow Cafe in Billings and can't help but rave about it. The Reuben burger with a house salad and Italian dressing was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. It's a must-try for anyone wanting to support local spots while getting great value for their money. Now, let’s talk about the chicken fried steak. How in the world did they get it so big? It was massive! The sausage gravy was a treat, with generous chunks of sausage—absolutely delicious! The hash browns were a bit undercooked for my taste, but they might be just right for you. The eggs were, well, eggs—nothing to complain about there. I can't forget to mention the Fry Bread with cinnamon butter—what a delightful addition to the meal! This little spot is a gem, and I'm glad we stopped in. The food and service were top-notch. The waitresses were amazing and attentive, ensuring my drink was refilled without needing to ask. The atmosphere is something special, too. I'll definitely be going back! Keep up the great work, Tippy Cow Cafe!

The Sassy Biscuit Co. was AMAZING! We're always on the hunt for a breakfast spot with great food and coffee, and we finally found it. The food is aptly named—so delicious! I had the banana butterscotch biscuit and a plain one, both absolutely YUM! At our table, we shared kids French toast with home fries, cheesy eggs over biscuits with a tasty oil, granola, and avocado toast topped with crispy black-eyed peas, a fried egg, a sauce, and arugula. Every dish was a hit. This place will definitely become a regular stop for us. The decor is funky and cleverly thought out, adding to the overall fun atmosphere. I loved spotting the artistic hidden speaker on the ceiling—such a cool touch. It's a must-try spot for sure! To order, you walk up to the counter and then grab a table, which works smoothly. I had the cobbler and a side of bacon, which was crispy and thick cut with a subtle onion flavor from the grill—delicious! Even though there was a busy lunch rush before us, the service was quick and efficient. Unfortunately, they were out of the French toast and latte I wanted, but the egg and cheese biscuit and clam chowder we ordered instead were both really good. Overall, The Sassy Biscuit delivered on all fronts, and I can't wait to go back!

Montana Jack's in Billings is a fantastic spot for both breakfast and lunch. The food is excellent and always served on time. I've had the pleasure of trying both their fish and chips and the burger with egg, bacon, and ham. They were absolutely delicious, albeit a bit messy, but that’s part of the charm. The fries and onion rings were good, though they could have been a bit hotter. My spouse found the fish a tad bland, but I thought it was decent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for sitting down and enjoying a meal without any rush. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, even though it seemed they were slightly understaffed. And on a special note, Montana Jack's catered my daughter's wedding, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The employees were professional, the food was amazing, and the setup and cleanup were handled swiftly. We received so many compliments on the food. If you’re busy but still want a nice, relaxing meal out, Montana Jack's is the place to go. It’s a timeless classic where families of any size can enjoy a great meal. The option of a full bar and a casino section is a nice touch for those interested. On my last visit, I had the hot roast beef, which was so good I could have eaten the plate. My wife had the tri-tip plate, with a loaded baked potato and a house salad, and she even had some leftovers for the next day. It all looked and smelled so scrumptious that we dove right in before remembering to take pictures. Next time, I’ll make sure to snap a few photos.

During our vacation, we stumbled upon Muzzle Loader Cafe for breakfast, and it was a fantastic find! The prices were very reasonable, the coffee was good, and the food was excellent. It was quiet and quick, making for a delightful breakfast experience. My daughter ordered a cinnamon roll that was impressively large, and the portion sizes were great for what we paid. If we lived nearby, this would definitely be our go-to spot! When we decided to try Muzzle Loader for dinner on a whim, we were not let down. Our server was sweet and attentive, and the food was delicious. I had the prime rib sandwich with a salad, and the sandwich was perfectly cheesy, with the tender meat practically melting in my mouth. My husband enjoyed his burger with tots. Since we went a little earlier than the usual dinner rush, it was nice and quiet. For breakfast, the French toast and pork strips were delicious, and my fiancé loved his simple breakfast of white toast and eggs over easy. While I can't recommend the biscuit waffle with fried chicken, I bet those who enjoy fast food might like it. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Muzzle Loader Cafe—ten out of ten!

Bernie's Diner is an absolute gem for breakfast in Billings! The food, the service, everything was spot on. I ordered the country fried steak, and even though it came with a brown gravy, which I usually don't prefer, I found it delicious! The steak was thick, juicy, and packed with flavor. The eggs were cooked just right, and the potatoes were perfectly crispy. My friend tried the stuffed banana bread French toast with a side of crispy bacon, and she couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was. The coffee was hot and just what we needed to kickstart our day. Our waitress was incredibly prompt and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The prices were just right for the generous portions we received. I highly recommend eating here if you're in the area. The meal reminded me of breakfasts my grandma used to make before we went out to do chores on the ranch. It was not only tasty but brought back fond memories. Bernie's Diner is a place where great food and outstanding service come together. Highly recommend!

4 B's Restaurant in Billings is a gem for breakfast lovers. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the minimal wait time was a pleasant surprise. The historical newspaper clippings on the wall added a unique touch to the clean and cozy environment. I ordered a hearty breakfast, and each dish was fresh and delicious. The standout was the tomato soup paired with spaghetti and meat sauce—everything tasted wonderfully homemade. The generous supply of crackers was a nice addition to the soup. The service was exceptional. Angel, our waitress, went above and beyond, especially when my toddler got fussy. She was attentive and managed to keep things light and enjoyable, making our dining experience even better. The whole team was top-notch, and the food was consistently great. It's convenient to stop here during travels, with ample parking for RVs and campers. I highly recommend 4 B's for anyone passing through. I can't wait to return for another satisfying meal and excellent service.
McCormick Cafe

After years away, I decided to drop by McCormick Cafe for breakfast, and I’m glad I did. The young guy who took our order seemed a bit tired, but he was still friendly, and the gal with the bright orange hair was super personable and welcoming. The inside of the cafe seemed a bit worn out and could probably use a little updating, but it was clean, which was good to see. I ordered the granola parfait, and it was just right, with a good balance of granola and strawberries. My brother chose the Oxford French toast, which came with fruit. The canned fruit wasn't quite worth the extra $5, so we might skip that next time. What really stood out were the lattes. They were generously sized and perfectly hot. I had a pumpkin spice latte, and it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I was genuinely sad to take the last few sips because it was so delicious. My brother’s macadamia nut white chocolate mocha was another hit, with just the right blend of flavors and espresso. McCormick Cafe feels like a charming little spot, and I was happy to walk in again. It’s a nice find downtown, with a cozy ambiance. The seating options are nice too, with choices by the window or more private spots in the back, plus a small outdoor area for that classic café vibe. Prices are what you’d expect in the area, and while the food didn't completely wow me, it was well-made with fresh ingredients. This place is definitely worth another visit, maybe to try something like their Montana Omelette next time. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I’m looking forward to going back.

Service was exceptional at Perkins American Food Co. in Billings! Even though we faced a bit of a wait due to low staffing, the staff more than made up for it. Our server, Lori I., was amazing—always refilling our drinks and attending to us with efficiency and kindness. The waiter offered us a choice of desserts for the delay, and I chose the sticky bun, which was delicious. While my pancakes initially came out burnt, our attentive waiter quickly corrected it by bringing out fresh, soft ones. My omelet was a bit dry, but the overall experience with the staff made it worthwhile. The atmosphere at the restaurant was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The team clearly values their customers and works hard to provide great service. Despite the initial wait, the food was amazing and came out quickly once the kitchen caught up. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good food and friendly service. I will definitely be returning, hopefully trying a different time or day of the week. If you're considering giving them a try, do it! The team truly cares about their work and their guests.

I had a great experience at IHOP for breakfast in Billings. My brother and I shared the savory pesto crepes, which were dreamy, and my sister's salmon was cooked perfectly. The restaurant was nice and clean, and they played some light music that made the atmosphere pleasant. Whitney, our waitress, was outstanding. She was friendly, warm, and welcoming, ensuring my glass of clear tea was never empty. It's rare to see such excellent service. The tattooed hostess was also very friendly and helpful, stepping in to get our drinks while Whitney was busy. The place can get a bit overcrowded and noisy, but the quality of service makes up for it. The food was decent, though I felt I should have ordered pancakes—after all, it’s IHOP. That's something I'll try next time. Overall, it was one of the better IHOP experiences I've had in a while. The restroom was clean, and I appreciated the good service from Debbie too. I'll definitely give it another shot for a nice breakfast.

Perkins American Food Co. in Billings offers a unique and historic atmosphere that's truly one-of-a-kind for breakfast. Our recent visit was memorable as part of a friend's birthday celebration, and we were appreciative of the attentive and frequent service provided by the staff. The highlight of the meal was the free slice of pie we all received with our purchased meals—a delightful bonus and quite generous. However, the experience was mixed. We faced a significant wait time for our meal, and I ended up paying for our food in advance because we had to leave before it arrived. I empathized with the staff, particularly our server, who was doing her best amid understaffing. Unfortunately, the service issues weren't the only concern. The food itself missed the mark. Some dishes, like the bacon and hashbrowns, needed more cooking, and we had issues with overly seasoned fries that my son couldn't eat. The need to seek out containers and service ourselves was a letdown, though the server's efforts were commendable. Overall, while the special touches like the free pie were appreciated, the food quality and service delays left room for improvement. I hope they can address these issues because the potential for a great experience is certainly there.
