While it wasn't very busy on an early Monday morning, I did notice the music was a bit too upbeat for a morning vibe, but that's a minor detail. On another visit during a busy Sunday brunch, I chose to sit at the counter, a front-row seat to the lively kitchen show, which was both fun and entertaining. My quest for the best Shrimp and Grits ended with Metro Diner. The 30-minute drive was nothing compared to the hot, fresh, perfectly seasoned dish I received. The portion was large, offering a perfect balance of andouille sausage and fresh shrimp. The staff was fantastic all around. Candice, my server, was exceptional, and I highly recommend asking for her. Yana, our hostess, ensured we were comfortable upon arrival, and Sarah's friendly demeanor set the tone for a great dining experience. Starting my day with Kolache Factory was a win, and I was pleasantly surprised that a kolache and a large coffee were just $6! This was my second visit, and both times have been fantastic. My absolute favorite is the pizza kolache, packed with pepperoni and gooey cheese. The ranchero is another standout, and I highly recommend trying the cream cheese kolaches as well – they're a real treat. I visit the Carmel location at least three times a month and have nothing but love for the kolaches and the amazing staff. I'm especially fond of the BBQ Brisket, but there are so many great options to explore. The place is always clean and organized, which I appreciate. Although there was a minor hiccup with our coffees not being labeled, it didn’t affect my overall experience since the caffeine kicked in just fine. The atmosphere is wonderful, with happy, friendly staff and decor that strikes the perfect balance between casual and classy. This location in Clay Terrace, on the Carmel/Westfield border, is one of the best in the Indy area for breakfast. It's quite popular on weekends, so expect it to be crowded. Outdoor seating is available, and the food, especially the big slabs of toast with every meal, is very good.

But overall, it adds to the quaint charm. Situated in the heart of downtown Carmel, parking can be tricky, but the nearby garage solves that issue. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was tasty, although I think a side included in the price would be better given the high prices overall. The self-service coffee bar is a great idea, letting you enjoy as much coffee as you like without waiting for a refill. The service was incredibly friendly, and our food was served quickly. Arriving early is a good idea to avoid a wait for a table. We had a delightful breakfast on a Sunday morning and were seated right away around 9:30, but it quickly got busy afterward. The cinnamon toast as a side is a must-try! I also enjoyed the smoked salmon bagel with eggs, which had fantastic flavor and a beautiful presentation. The atmosphere is wonderful, with happy, friendly staff and decor that strikes the perfect balance between casual and classy. This location in Clay Terrace, on the Carmel/Westfield border, is one of the best in the Indy area for breakfast. It's quite popular on weekends, so expect it to be crowded. Outdoor seating is available, and the food, especially the big slabs of toast with every meal, is very good.

During my visit, I did notice that the hostess initially tried to seat us too close to the only other diners, which felt a bit awkward. Also, the first cup of coffee from the thermos was warm instead of hot, and it ran out quickly. Despite these small hiccups, the breakfast quesadillas and egg-pesto casserole we ordered were delightful. The décor is quite pink and has a southern, folksy vibe, maybe a bit intense for my taste. But overall, it adds to the quaint charm. Situated in the heart of downtown Carmel, parking can be tricky, but the nearby garage solves that issue. I celebrated a birthday here with my mom, and the staff was accommodating to our party of seven, making the occasion even more enjoyable. The food and cocktails were fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. I look forward to visiting again and hope to see some improvements that will make Goodness Gracious a favorite breakfast spot.

They even assisted my handicapped spouse by helping carry the food out, then returned with a little treat of bacon fat for our dog (with our permission). Their kindness made a lasting impression. When it comes to the food, it was fantastic. My husband and I typically leave something on our plates, but not this time! Those pancakes were absolutely delicious. It's rare for me to give a perfect rating, but Brunchies deserves it. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Despite being the only customers, it took 20 minutes to receive our drinks, and the service wasn't very welcoming. The Nitro cold brew vanilla coffee was delicious, though, and I’d order it again. While there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of service, consistency, and overall experience, they do have some good offerings. There are other spots in Carmel that might offer a more consistent and inviting atmosphere, but 1832 Brew Espresso Bar has potential with a little more focus on customer service and drink quality.
