Just what I needed! Lemma Coffee Co is the perfect spot if you're looking for amazing coffee with a simple menu. The vibes are clean and friendly, and the staff is kind and helpful. The food was delicious, and the coffee was just right—not bitter or too sweet. I love stopping by whenever I'm in the area because they always deliver with beautiful latte art and quick, friendly service. Today, I'm enjoying a vanilla cream cold brew, and it's unbelievably good. It's hard to believe something so tasty exists, but here we are! This is the perfect place for a quick cup and a chat with a small group of friends. The atmosphere is lively, with lots of flat surfaces that let the sound bounce around. Located in a cozy spot in downtown Carrollton, Lemma Coffee Co is truly a gem. They consistently make amazing coffee and genuinely care about their craft. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves exploring coffee shops. This has become my new favorite spot. Parks Coffee Roastery & Cafe is my go-to spot in Carrollton for a fresh cup of coffee. The coffee here is genuinely good and perfect for kickstarting my day. The space is ample, allowing you to settle down and enjoy your drink, although it can get busy. While the staff could be a bit more welcoming, the overall experience is positive. I particularly enjoy the iced caramel macchiato and find the caramel frappuccino worth the visit. The atmosphere and decor tick all the boxes of a quintessential coffee shop, and I love that I can take home their distinctive flavors by purchasing bags of their freshly roasted beans. They even offer BOGO rewards sales on beans, which I frequently take advantage of. What I appreciate most is their use of real mugs and water glasses, enhancing the overall coffee experience. Although I've occasionally encountered a dishwasher outage, it's a minor hiccup. Plus, the cafe provides ample parking and a bike rack, making it super convenient. They also have a Roastery tour that seems interesting, though I haven't tried it yet. While the place might feel a bit commercialized, it remains a top favorite for me, and I find myself coming back regularly. If you're looking for a buzzing spot with high-quality coffee that's easy on the wallet, Parks Coffee Roastery & Cafe is definitely worth checking out.

Pete's Cafe is a great diner, even busy at 11:00 am on a Sunday. The wait was super easy, thanks to their setup for quick seating. The food was fantastic—I had scrambled eggs with French Toast. Unfortunately, I missed out on the Cinnamon Roll since they were sold out, but I'll definitely be back to try it. The diner mug with endless coffee service was a nice touch. I even bought a white mug for my collection at home. The service was great, and the food was even better. I tried the Spanish omelette, biscuits and gravy, and a blueberry waffle, all of which were done perfectly and at a good price. It's hard to find a good diner these days, but Pete's fits the bill. A note to self: get there early on the weekend to snag a cinnamon roll. We love having breakfast at Pete’s Café; it has the best breakfast around with old country home vibes and delicious food. Our waitress Beatrice was lovely and accommodating, and we enjoyed a veggie omelette with grits and over-medium eggs with hash browns and bacon. They serve gigantic ice waters upon arrival. Pete’s hot sauce is a must-try—it’s fantastic on eggs, and they even sell bottles of it. Service animals are welcome, and it’s always packed when we're there. I also had the migas, which were very pleasant, along with a classic diner coffee. Good food, good prices, and a classic environment make it a spot that always hits the mark!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Carrollton is a true gem! The moment you walk in, the rustic and nostalgic decor immediately transports you to a charming, simpler time. It’s the perfect spot for some good ol’ southern comfort food. The fried chicken is simply divine—crispy, golden, and juicy. The chicken fried steak is tender and delicious, while the mashed potatoes and gravy are smooth and perfectly seasoned. The biscuits are soft, buttery, and absolutely addictive. And with sides served family-style, you’ll want to bring your appetite because they just keep coming! The staff here are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. They’re quick, attentive, and clearly love what they do. The Carrollton square adds to the experience with its cozy charm, making it a great place to wander after a satisfying meal. Overall, this place is a must-visit. With fantastic food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s everything you could want and more. I’ll definitely be coming back for more of their smoked chicken and peach cobbler. Babe’s never disappoints!

AMAZING from beginning to end. The service was top-notch, and Binx, along with the rest of the staff, set a positive tone for my day with their kindness. I ordered the Green Machine, held the jalapeño, and added onion and mushrooms, with a side of turkey bacon and fruit. Everything was hot and fresh tasting, making me really happy to have found this spot. My husband and I tried breakfast here for the first time and had a great experience. Collin, our waiter, had a great sense of humor (the 10/10 straw drop to start the experience was memorable), and we were honored to be the first order in his new notebook. The food was delivered hot and quickly, and it wasn't greasy. The portions were perfect for the price, leaving us with leftovers for tomorrow. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a good meal in a nice local place. My wife and I went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and were promptly seated. The hostess quickly got us our drinks, and the server took our order shortly after. We had the Super Scramble and Western Skillet with rye toast and a small side of sausage gravy. Everything was cooked perfectly and exactly as ordered. Though we were just passing through town, I'd absolutely recommend this restaurant and would go back without question. Sorry for not having pictures, but the food looked and tasted great!

I’ve been on the hunt for a cozy coffee spot, and C Square Cafe in Carrollton hits the mark perfectly! The charming brick setting and the grand, Gone With The Wind meets western style staircase offer a refreshing departure from the usual sterile coffee shops. The view of the town square is a bonus. I tried their cappuccino and bagelwich, both delicious and reasonably priced. The bagelwich was especially tasty. The owner and staff are genuinely friendly, making you feel right at home. My brother joined me for breakfast, and after hearing about the hash brown plate that includes eggs, sausage, hash-browns, toast, and coffee, we decided to share it. The staff kindly split everything for us, and those fluffy eggs and flavorful turkey sausage really stood out. I also recommend the iced latte. While the menu is fairly basic, with offerings like a sizable and excellent chicken salad sandwich and a tasty breakfast wrap with ham (salsa on the side), it’s all about the quality and the vibe here. Just don’t expect a full-blown restaurant service; it’s a coffee shop with great breakfast and lunch options. You order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. It’s an interesting, relaxed environment with reasonably priced food that’s available a la carte. We loved the atmosphere, the food, and the iced latte. This place is a must-visit in downtown Carrollton!

Eggsellent Cafe in Carrollton is a fantastic spot for breakfast, and I'm thrilled to share my experience. Right from when we walked in, the friendly greeting set the tone for a welcoming visit. The wide variety of menu options is impressive, and it's clear they excel in many dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie skillet; it was cooked perfectly, although someone in my party wasn't thrilled with the steak fried steak. The pancakes are an absolute highlight—especially the very berry pancake, which was just perfect. The coffee was excellent, and I loved that they offered flavored creamers. My omelette was fluffy and light, packed with just the right amount of toppings, and the turkey bacon was cooked to perfection. The hash browns had the ideal crisp, and the grits were spot on with their consistency. Our server, Carlos, had fantastic energy and kept our cups filled, enhancing the overall great service. The restaurant was clean, with tables wiped down and a comfortable atmosphere. Though the prices are slightly higher, the quality and portions make it worth trying. The only downside was the usual high price of the orange juice. The place was bustling on a Saturday morning, with a welcoming environment full of families, friends, and singles from all walks of life. I loved the USA-themed decor. The outdoor seating option and the beautiful architecture add to the charm. I'll definitely be returning for their breakfast. Thanks for a memorable experience!

Having lived in JP for over three years, my search for a great crepe in Carrollton led me to T-Swirl Crêpe, and I'm thrilled I found it. This place serves crepes that truly remind me of the authentic JP experience, both in texture and filling. While a scoop of ice cream would take them over the top, these are definitely some of the best dessert spots I've tried. The establishment was commendably clean, and the staff were efficient and friendly, ensuring everyone was served promptly. It's a plus that they stay open later than other spots nearby. For the price, you get a delicious crepe of your choice, and it's worth mentioning that they offer savory options too! The matcha strawberry truffle crepe was a standout for me; it had a perfect balance, not too bitter or too sweet. Although the menu and crepes were smaller than anticipated, I was delighted to find a Japanese-style crepe shop. I visited twice in about a month because the crepes were just that good. The ordering process involves a kiosk, which I don't mind, though it could be more informative about the ingredients. However, the staff is always ready to help, and their website offers details as well. On my visit, I opted for the Okinawa Hot Dog for something savory. The flavors were well-balanced with a sweet touch from the assumed tofu sauce and corn. The Taro Milk Tea with extra boba was tasty, though the boba turned out to be warm. The setup with a plastic lid made it tricky to mix, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The only downside is the tiny space and limited seating, with sunlight and heat pouring in due to the west-facing front. Despite this, I highly recommend T-Swirl Crêpe to any crepe enthusiasts out there. The service is excellent, and the employees are genuinely kind. Whether you're in the mood for sweet or savory, this spot offers a delightful crepe experience.

El Portal Cafe is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving Colombian food. Even though I have to drive all the way from Dallas, it's absolutely worth it. The staff is fantastic, and the place feels so cozy and welcoming. Plus, it's always clean, including the restrooms. My favorites are the pandebono and beef empanadas with Aji—always packed with flavor and pure deliciousness. I really enjoy this small bakery. I love exploring restaurants from different cultures, and it's fun to try speaking their language. Even though my Spanish isn't great, the staff is so friendly and patient. I remember an elderly woman there whose English was limited, but we still communicated well enough for her to help me pick out the most delicious sweet cheese bread ball. Their coffee is top-notch, too—I couldn't resist finishing it before reaching my destination. El Portal Cafe has room to grow, but it's already a fantastic little hole-in-the-wall Colombian cafe. The ropa vieja is a standout, with flavorful meat and sweet plantains that hit the spot. Don't miss the salad, either; the dressing is incredible. I was in town for work and had an awesome experience here. The food exceeded my expectations, and the prices are great, too. If you're in the area, definitely give El Portal Cafe a visit. From Colombian pastries to meal plates, everything is on point. I drove 45 minutes from my hotel to try it, and I'm so glad I did. Kudos to the amazing staff!

Despite arriving close to closing time, we were seated and served promptly without feeling rushed. The classic breakfast was spot on, and my husband couldn't stop raving about the fresh, hand-squeezed orange juice—it was truly a highlight! We ordered the Strawberry Crepe and gluten-free French toast with coffees, and I have to say, the chefs outdid themselves. The flavors were immaculate, and every bite felt like it was made with love. My husband was grinning ear to ear, enjoying every moment of our meal. The location is convenient, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated, adding to its charm. While I wish there were more items made from scratch, the overall dining experience was fantastic. This place definitely makes the 45-minute drive worth it, and we'll be back for sure. Having breakfast at Sunny Street Cafe in Carrollton was a delightful experience. My husband and I found the restaurant to be clean and tidy, and we scored a good table with some awesome old-school 80s music playing in the background. The food was super tasty—I had an omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast, and we even treated ourselves to mimosas, which were refreshing and not overly sweet. Our server, Crystal, was fantastic and made sure we were well taken care of. We were seated quickly and appreciated the prompt service, especially with a toddler in tow. Our food arrived in less than 10 minutes, and everything was fresh and flavorful. They even have cute options like dinosaur pancakes and French toast for kids! On another visit, our ladies' Bible study group had a brunch here, and the private room was perfect with plenty of space. Again, the food was excellent, and the service was gracious and attentive. Sunny Street Cafe is a great local spot for breakfast—good food, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Best bakery ever! The cappuccino cake filled with mocha was delicious. The buttercream was soft, and I loved the texture, the crispy chocolate coating, and the design. It was a perfect match, and all my guests loved it too. It's definitely a 5-star experience—if you know, you know. Why does anyone go to a French patisserie? To indulge, to feel a bit naughty, and to be spoiled for choice because everything looks amazing. That was the case here. It was hard to choose, so our group got a variety to enjoy over the week. From savory to sweet, everything was delicious and beautifully crafted. Nothing tasted mass-produced. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly and was worth the wait. They offer dine-in options too. The tiramisu and crème brûlée donuts are fantastic! The coffee is great as well. The place is clean, open, and the service is excellent. My family and I enjoyed the pastries, coffee, and the nice atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back when I'm visiting from another state.

Awake in Carrollton seemed like a promising spot for breakfast, but my first visit left much to be desired. My husband and I went for my birthday, as I love breakfast, and I was looking forward to a pleasant experience. The restaurant is larger and prettier than I expected, and we appreciated being seated quickly, even though we were initially told there would be a 10-minute wait. We opted to sit outside since the weather was nice. However, the service was lacking from the start. We waited quite a while for anyone to come and take our order. Even after the manager came out to take drink orders, it took ages to receive them. The lack of communication and attentiveness was frustrating, especially since neither the manager nor our waiter offered apologies for the delays. When the food finally arrived, it was a letdown. I ordered the waffle combo with bacon and potatoes. The bacon was excessively salty, and the potatoes were undercooked and bland. The Texas-shaped waffle was okay but lacked the crispiness I enjoy, reminding me of a hotel breakfast. I also ordered one slice of French toast, expecting it to be a highlight. Unfortunately, it was undercooked and not worth the price. It didn’t help that the pricing wasn’t clearly communicated. Overall, the food was subpar, and the coffee was just average. Despite the positive reviews I had seen, it seemed like the restaurant was having an off day. While the venue itself is nice and the staff was polite, the slow service and mediocre food mean we won’t be returning.

The food was really good and arrived hot, which I appreciated. I tried the greens and cornbread, both of which were delicious. Although I ordered carrot cake for dessert and it didn't quite match the picture on their website, the overall meal was satisfying. The staff was attentive and provided excellent service, making sure everything was just right. Despite a few ups and downs in the past, this visit reminded me why I enjoy coming here. I visited Mom's Cafe for breakfast and was really impressed. If you're looking for that small town, home-cooked diner vibe, this place hits the mark. The menu is simple but delivers that comforting, home-cooked taste. I ordered breakfast burritos and pancakes, and they were delicious. The service was prompt and quick, and the staff added a lot of character to the place. Inside, it's your typical small diner – nothing fancy, but it feels cozy. One thing that caught my attention was the $4 kids' lemonade, which seemed a bit high, but the rest of the menu was reasonably priced, making it easy to overlook. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and trying the lunch menu. It's one of those places where the food feels like a perfect home-cooked meal, and the portions are just right – not too big, not too small. I highly recommend giving it a try; you won't be disappointed. It's a great spot with an old-school, homely environment, and the food is just perfect.

The vibe of the place is really cute and inviting. The food here is consistently flavorful and always fresh, which keeps me coming back for more. The overall atmosphere is enjoyable with soothing background music, making for a pleasant dining experience. Their menu offers a variety of Venezuelan dishes that are healthy and delicious. I've tried the sancocho, pabellón, and cachapas with pork—each one more delightful than the last. They also offer desserts like tres leches and quesillo, and their natural juices like mango and passion fruit are a refreshing addition. The highlights for me are the Tequeños and the Cachapa Trio, both of which are absolutely heavenly. Sharing different dishes with friends is a great way to explore the amazing tastes they offer. Despite the food's excellence, the service has changed over time. Although the food remains top-notch, the customer service could use some improvement, as it tends to be lacking in communication and engagement. Despite this, I find myself returning often because the flavors are just too good to resist.

The owner is friendly and brings great energy to the place. However, there's room for improvement in customer service. On my last visit, some of the staff didn't seem very attentive to customers' needs. I hope they can work on training their team to ensure a better experience for everyone.
