At Eddy’s Tree Top Cafe, the breakfast experience was genuinely pleasant. The chicken flautas, mashed potatoes, and vegetables were all flavorful and cooked to perfection. The vibe was okay, considering it’s located in a hospital, but what stood out was the kindness of the lady serving us—she’s truly the best. It’s a great spot, particularly for those staying at the hospital who need a convenient place to eat. The prices are reasonable, and the food is both delicious and fresh.

I had a breakfast get-together with my partner and a good buddy at Coffee Zone in Edinburgh, and I was genuinely impressed. The interior of the restaurant is simply beautiful. Our server, who wore the cutest pearl earrings, was incredibly helpful and suggested the strawberry green tea refresher, which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. My buddy ordered a blended mocha with a shot of chocolate mint, and it looked amazing. The food was fantastic! I had the Coffee Zone Supreme Omelette without mushrooms, and it was heavenly. You can tell they focus on quality because their biscuits and tortillas are made fresh in-house. My partner's breakfast tacos were packed with egg and potato, and they were delicious. Overall, it was a 100/10 experience. The menu is filled with great options, including lunch specials and excellent patisserie offerings, and the coffee was the best I've had in a long time—rich, flavorful, and served in a unique insulated paper cup. Plus, at just $2 for a large cup, it's a great deal. My first visit to Coffee Zone was a memorable one, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings!

On October 30, 2024, I had a fantastic breakfast experience at Denny's in Edinburg. Deanna was my server, and she was her usual cheerful self. Her service truly made my morning brighter. If you're looking to start your day with a smile, she's the person to see. I decided to go with the Lumberjack breakfast and upgraded to the pumpkin pecan pancakes, and they were phenomenal. Big thanks to Deanna for recommending them. I've ordered my special order at this Denny's so many times that it's become a running joke, but Deanna nailed it on the first try! The atmosphere at this Denny's on University Drive is always welcoming, and the staff is great. I even stopped by for lunch and ordered breakfast. Brissa, my server then, was very attentive, and my food arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. I felt genuinely welcome, even with my kids in tow, and for that, I'm grateful. Alberto, another waiter, was energetic and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was a solid 10 out of 10, and the customer service was impeccable. I love my local Denny's in Edinburg, where I can always expect great food and service.

I absolutely love Zamoras' Restaurant for breakfast in Edinburg. Their breakfast tacos are amazing, and the homemade tortillas are the best I've ever had. The food is always good, and the service is great every time. The waitstaff is professional and attentive, making the experience even better. I remember going there with my family for the first time on a rainy day, and when our vehicle battery died, the employees offered help without us having to ask. Their kindness really stood out to me. Although the kids' items can be pricey, like the $9.02 kids enchilada plate that only had one enchilada, it doesn’t take away from how much I enjoy eating here. The intimate setting adds to the charm of the place. Even though there have been a couple of hiccups with take-out orders, like facing delays or missing items, I still highly recommend Zamoras' for their wonderful food and excellent service.

La Casa De La Abuela in Edinburg is a gem for breakfast. The decor and ambiance are stylish, making it a great spot for smaller gatherings. If you're planning to go with a larger group, it's best to contact the manager in advance to accommodate everyone comfortably. The food is fantastic, albeit a bit pricey, but worth it. The servers, though reminiscent of Whataburger with their uniforms, add to the unique charm of the place. A small suggestion would be to reconsider the berets for a classier look. Despite a bit of a wait due to the bustling atmosphere, the quality of the food makes up for it, earning a solid five-star review from me. The staff is attentive and professional, with our server, Candy, being particularly impressive. She ensured we had an excellent experience and even made a perfect Café Lechero. The Huevos La Abuela were delicious, and the Matcha Panqueques La Abuela were a delightful mix of sweet and spongy, complemented by fresh fruit and ice cream. The dessert selection is impressive too. Thanks to Fernando, who explained everything patiently, we left satisfied and eager to return. La Casa De La Abuela is definitely worth trying, especially for a date night, with its reasonably comparable prices. Highly recommend visiting for a delightful breakfast or dessert experience!

The servers are prompt and always welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The menu offers a delicious range of options, from Machacado to chicken fried steak, showcasing down-home cooking at its finest in the Rio Grande Valley. I've been eating at this restaurant for over two decades, and the quality has remained consistently high. The staff is respectful, courteous, attentive, and professional. While some dishes might take a bit longer to prepare, the fresh and flavorful results are well worth the wait. The Tamez family, who run the place, are incredibly kind and contribute to the welcoming environment. The place is always bustling, especially in the mornings, which is a testament to how great the food and service are. It's a fantastic spot for an affordable yet satisfying breakfast. The owners have created a family-oriented atmosphere, and while there was a hiccup with one staff member's attitude recently, it doesn't overshadow the years of positive experiences I've had here. Eating at El Patio Cafe feels like a cherished tradition, having started coming here as a kid with my dad. It's easily one of the best hole-in-the-wall places in Edinburg, offering fresh, affordable meals every time.

Taco Palenque on University Drive in Edinburg is a solid spot for breakfast and more. We've grabbed breakfast tacos here a few times, and they're usually on point. One time, they messed up the order, but a quick call fixed it, and they sent us a new taco without any fuss. That speaks volumes about their customer service. We dropped by for dinner on July 1st, 2024, and the place was clean and welcoming, not too crowded. I tried the menudo, which was decent, though the cuts could have been a bit cleaner. My wife's fideo loco was tasty, which balanced things out. The michelada drink could use some tweaking—mainly, it needs more spice and that characteristic red hue. On a different day, we ventured in for happy hour. The nachos with chicken and street corn cup were delightful, but the margarita was underwhelming; it lacked the punch I expected. Next time, a cold beer might be a better choice. Their service is commendable, with attentive cashiers and quick food service. The price might average around $15, but it feels worth it, especially with the bonus of a chips and condiment bar. Plus, the military and police discounts are a nice touch. From fajitas to salads, there's a good range of options, including budget-friendly combinations with tortillas and a drink. It's easy to find something satisfying here, and I'm looking forward to coming back.

I definitely plan to return when I'm in the Edinburg area. The restaurant does get busy, which is a good sign, but it means they could use more staff. We waited about 5 minutes for our table even when it wasn't packed, and it took two servers to get our drink order. Refills were slow, and we had to remind them about the "kids eat free" discount. Still, I left a tip because the staff did their best and were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I've been to this IHOP a few times, and even though there's often a wait, it was only about 10 minutes today. The staff consistently treat you like an old friend, and the bacon omelette and breakfast burger were both great. The restaurant is also handicap accessible, with plenty of room for walking aids. Overall, I love the food and service here and would recommend avoiding peak times at night when it gets really crowded.

The place was busy, with a large party taking up a significant portion of the restaurant, but the wait was surprisingly short. The staff was very apologetic, though there was really no need as the service was fast and friendly. The breakfast options are plentiful, and I especially appreciated the special they offered. The food was delicious, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The hashbrowns were a bit greasy, as is common with diner food, but they were tasty. The facilities were clean and spacious, with tables spread out nicely, so it didn't feel crowded at all. I also noticed they offer a lunch buffet with a variety of food that seems to cater to every taste and budget. It's definitely a place that provides good value for the price. I'm already looking forward to returning and trying more from their menu.

I initially thought it was a sit-down restaurant, but it's more like a fast food joint, similar to Taco Bell. Despite that, the food is always nice and hot, and the prices are reasonable. I should mention that the cheese is my favorite part of their dishes. I ordered two chalupas yesterday for a little over $8, and while I hoped for fresh guacamole with that price, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. My go-to order is usually the enchilada plate, and they never disappoint. The staff here is super friendly and always provide great customer service. The manager is welcoming and helpful, which adds to the positive experience. They handle large groups well; I went with 15 family members, and the wait time was impressively short. The tables are clean, and though the restroom could use a bit more attention, it's better than others in the area. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by and grabbing some tacos.
