Rancho Cafe in El Cajon has quickly become my weekly breakfast spot. The pastries are incredibly fresh, and the coffee is always at the perfect temperature with just the right taste. It's a charming little cafe located next to the library. I'm a big fan of their vanilla caramel latte, and their M&M cookies are the best I've had. They offer a fantastic selection of ramen, drinks, pastries, bagels, and candy. Everything they have is amazing, and the employees are really good at what they do. While the prices are a bit high, it's worth it for the quality. Plus, they serve the original Slush Puppies, which is a fun treat. Overall, I give it 5 stars!

My Osaka sandwich was loaded with an egg, turkey slices, turkey bacon, cheese, and guac, all on fluffy, delicious bread. We both ordered the Nutella French toast afterward, and it was incredible! One great thing about Tappi's Cafe is their mimosas and champagne selections. They offer plenty of seating options both inside and outside. Our waitress was wonderful and took the time to explain the menu thoroughly. I'll definitely be coming back here! The French toast and chai latte were delicious, and I'd rate this place a 5/5. My husband tried the chilaquiles and found them equally delicious. You can tell the staff takes pride in the details. They were super friendly and attentive, even offering a complimentary watermelon slice for my 9-month-old. This cafe earns 5 stars for taste, quality, service, cleanliness, and atmosphere. A great little cafe off the side of the road, Mary Etta's Cafe has become my favorite spot for breakfast in El Cajon. The service here is exceptional and really feels like a hometown restaurant. The food? Absolutely excellent. The ham and cheese I ordered came with a thick piece of ham, and the crispy french fries were delicious. I can't recommend this place enough. This cute little cafe was a real treat. The country fried steak and eggs were the best I've ever had, and their salsa added the perfect kick—not too spicy, just right. The seating was comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. It proved to be the best meal to have the day after our wedding. The chicken fried steak with gravy is a must-try, whether it's on biscuits or with the meal itself. This small but charming spot serves up large portions at a fair price. I ordered the daily special, which included Chicken Fried Steak with three eggs, fried potatoes, and wheat toast, as well as The Biggies omelette, packed with sausage, mushrooms, onion, tomatoes, peppers, and chili on top, along with fried potatoes and wheat toast. Bonny's Cafe in El Cajon is a hidden gem for breakfast. We stopped by on a whim, originally on our way to another spot, but the friendly service at Bonny's made us turn around. A server even ran out to check if we needed anything and spoke highly of their food, which convinced us to give it a try. I'm glad we did because the food was excellent. The grilled cheese and fries were tasty, and the cream of broccoli soup complemented it perfectly. My son really enjoyed his ham and cheese melt as well. Despite the food being on the pricier side, it's understandable given today's prices. What made our visit extra special was the service. They went out of their way to accommodate us, even making sure our dog was comfortable on the patio with a bowl of water. The staff was professional, friendly, and truly welcoming, which made the dining experience memorable. The atmosphere was fantastic, and my wife and I ended up eating there both days of our visit. Listening to the staff's light-hearted gossip added an unexpected fun aspect. Plus, I loved the quirky giant spoon, spatula, and fork decorations. Breakfast House is the kind of place where you get a meal that feels home-cooked. The portions are generous, so come hungry. The service is efficient and meets all your needs without fuss. Orders are ready quickly, which is always a plus. They also have a great range of drinks, and I really enjoyed the peach sweet tea—nice and cold. Memo's is hands-down my favorite bagel shop in town. I usually get a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, but I switched it up and tried the ham melt, which did not disappoint! They offer great toasted and custom-wrapped bagels to go. Best homemade bagel in El Cajon. Highly recommended!

The menu offers a great variety of delicious options. I absolutely love their omelets, and my husband can't get enough of the huevos rancheros. The pancakes are a must-try; they're incredibly delicious. The coffee is great, providing the perfect start to the morning. While there were some small hiccups with the kitchen, overall, the experience was delightful. It's a wonderful place for breakfast or brunch, and I would definitely return for another meal. I initially was looking for Burger Den but found out through the staff that you have to order from their website, and the Denny's kitchen will prepare it for you. It's a bit unusual but interesting to know. Anyway, I ended up ordering a burger from the Denny's menu, and it was one of the juiciest and best burgers I've had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked and juicy, not overdone like at most places. The fries were great too. I'd definitely give the burger 5 stars. Sorry, no pictures—I started eating before I realized how good it was. Definitely one of my favorite Denny's now! The service was fast and friendly. My food came out hot and perfect, and the waitress was attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. I was in and out in 40 minutes, which was perfect. Plus, they were playing some good classic rock music, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. I also arranged a get-together for my tabletop role-playing game group at this Denny's.
