Just WOW!!! As a longtime foodie with over a million views on my food reviews, discovering Sunrise Cafe Family Restaurant was such a delightful surprise. This spot used to be "Casa Fiesta," my favorite for Mexican food, so I was taken aback when I saw it had transformed into a café. I’m so glad I decided to pull in! I ordered the meat lovers burrito, and let me tell you, it was incredible. The burrito had a light, beautiful exterior and was packed generously with eggs, meat, and hashbrowns. It was visually appealing with its airy look and came with sour cream, salsa, and an additional side item. The taste? Simply wonderful! I made sure to compliment the cooks. The combo skillet was another standout. It was the best skillet I've had in a while, bursting with a delightful combination of flavors. Unlike the usual bland skillets, this one had perfectly cooked eggs and a flavor profile that truly blew me away. The pancakes were also excellent. This café’s location is perfect—low-key with plenty of space and a friendly staff. They offer breakfast all day and have a great variety on the menu, suitable for all ages. We will definitely be back when in Evansville. I highly recommend this great little restaurant for anyone looking for delicious dishes.

Frankie's Restaurant

First time at Frankie's Restaurant for breakfast in Evansville, and it was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, and the coffee and dessert were out of this world. The strawberry cheesecake was the best I've ever had. I ordered the Biscuit BBQ pork, which came with pork, pimento cheese, and a fried green tomato, all stacked perfectly with a biscuit—absolutely yummy. The food presentation was beautiful, and I would rate this restaurant 15/10. The atmosphere was nice, and I was surprised at how quickly the food arrived, accompanied by excellent service. We were dressed casually, in T-shirts and ball caps, but this place is definitely nicer than expected. Next time, I'll dress up a bit more. The breakfast potatoes should not be missed! I had the banana nut French toast, which was a solid 10/10, and my husband enjoyed the Mexican breakfast burrito, although it was spicier than expected. He loved it regardless. The crisp on the cheese curds was the best I've ever had, and the country fried steak was cooked to perfection with wonderfully consistent gravy. The pancakes were good, but everything else was amazing. The coffee was fresh, and the service was attentive without being overwhelming; my cup was never empty. I stopped for lunch at this newly reopened spot near the interstate and was pleasantly surprised by the upscale setting with wine glasses on tables and multiethnic, vested waiters who were welcoming and professional. I tried the lamb gyro skillet, and it was perfectly prepared and served promptly. I also took home a delicious slice of strawberry cheesecake, beautifully presented. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Frankie's for a fantastic meal and experience. Supporting this business is a must!

Sunrise Cafe Family Restaurant in Evansville has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots. The combo skillet was fantastic and notably less greasy than what I've had at other places. Adding a side of gravy to pour on top was a nice touch. My husband and I have enjoyed every meal we've had there, with everything cooked to perfection, especially the Catfish Dinner. The staff is incredibly sweet and attentive, making each visit a delight. This cozy spot consistently delivers great meals, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The prices are fair, and the portion sizes are generous, which is always a plus. Although the $3 sodas are a bit high, it's pretty common these days. I also really enjoyed their hash browns and found the biscuits and gravy to be pretty standard. Located in a business park on the north side off the highway, it’s a bit tucked away but definitely worth the visit. With decent pricing and delicious food, especially their bacon, it's easy to see why this place is a hit. I'll definitely be returning to try out some of their tempting lunch options.

Penny Lane Coffeehouse is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. I've been a long-time supporter of this local gem, and moving away made me realize just how much I missed it. Coming back to Evansville, which feels more like home than anywhere else, I knew I had to return to Penny Lane. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves coffee or even those who don’t, as they offer so much more. Their breakfast and lunch options are fantastic, and their menu includes smoothies and teas too. What I love most is the cozy atmosphere. It's a great escape where you can get lost in books from their impressive wall collection or admire local art on display. The handmade jewelry and keychains are a nice touch too. The staff is wonderful, always friendly and attentive, even during the busy morning rush. They make you feel right at home with their personal touch, asking about your day and complimenting customers. Whether you're meeting a friend, catching up with someone, or just need a quiet spot to work, this place is perfect. It's pet-friendly, which is a bonus, and even if you just pop in for coffee, you'll be glad you did. Although I didn't try their food on this visit, the menu looked promising, and I'm eager to come back. Penny Lane Coffeehouse embodies the local spirit and warmth of Evansville, and it's a place I highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Savannah's Cafe

I had a fantastic breakfast experience at Savannah's Cafe in Evansville. The food was really good, everything cooked perfectly, and you can't beat the price. The waitress was very friendly and checked on me several times to make sure I didn't need anything, which made me feel very welcome. I've been here a few times, and the food is consistently good. It's nothing fancy, just simple and delicious—the kind of comfort food that hits the spot every time. They offer specials, and I had the roast beef, which was really good. My wife and I especially enjoy their cakes and pies. They might not have a lot of parking or seating, but they do have tables for larger groups. I certainly plan to return and include it in my lunch rotation with my dad when we meet for our weekly lunch date. The menu is packed with good home cooking and diner-style options. It's extensive but not overwhelming. I loved trying the Rueben sandwich with cranberry relish, which was a delightful combination. Although it could’ve used a bit more meat, I can't complain given the price. The cranberry relish complemented the sandwich perfectly, and the availability of Coke products is a big plus for me. The waitresses are all friendly and worked together to ensure we had everything we needed, which was impressive. It's evident that they have a lot of regulars, which is always a great sign. While I skipped dessert this time, the selection in their dessert case was tempting. My friend got the buttered pecan cake, and I had a bite—it was delicious and perfectly refreshing on a hot day. Every dish I saw being served looked great, and I am eager to try their catfish and open-faced roast beef next time. Highly recommend this excellent place to eat, where the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good, and the bill was surprisingly low—less than $20 for breakfast for two! My only suggestion would be for bigger biscuits, but that's a minor thing in an otherwise wonderful experience.

Food at Chick-fil-A for breakfast in Evansville was outstanding! Everything was hot, fresh, and served incredibly fast—I barely had time to find a table before my order was ready. The staff was friendly, which made the experience even better. As a long-time Chick-fil-A fan, it's been a while since I convinced my wife to join me, but everything was just as good as I remembered. Although prices have gone up a bit, my wife really enjoyed her Spicy Southwest chicken salad and thought it was delicious. However, my first experience with their breakfast wasn't perfect. There was no wait at the drive-thru, which was a plus, but it was frustrating to be stopped before reaching the menu board. As a first-time breakfast visitor, I wasn't familiar with the options, and I wasn't interested in downloading the app or backing up to read the menu. I ended up ordering two chicken biscuits, which turned out to be soggy, with chewy biscuits. Next time, I'd go for the spicy chicken biscuits. While the food wasn't what I'd hoped for, the person who brought out my order was quick and pleasant. Despite my excitement for breakfast, overall, it was a letdown. The drive-thru experience left something to be desired, especially when ordering a bag of ice. It seems there's a consistent issue with finding the ice button in the system, leading to delays and confusion. It would be great if this location could streamline the process for better service.

Merry Go Round Restaurant in Evansville is a fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch. I love the southern charm and kindness in the service here—they really make you feel at home. I've tried the Reuben sandwich, which was delicious, and adding fries and a soda made it a perfect meal, complete with a pickle spear. I couldn't resist the cherry pie for dessert. The restaurant has a neat equestrian and '70s vibe and is very clean. It's easy to find with plenty of free parking, making it a convenient stop on a road trip. I once had the BLT club and macaroni with beef casserole, and they were both delicious. The portions are generous, and the food is great value for the price. Although it can get busy, the service is quick, and the food arrives promptly, just as ordered. I've tried both breakfast and lunch here, and each experience was outstanding. It's definitely a place I plan to revisit, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through. Just remember, if you're craving biscuits and gravy, get there before 11!

Kite & Key Cafe on Franklin is a charming spot for breakfast in Evansville. It offers a good variety of choices and the atmosphere is really inviting. On my visits, I’ve had the chance to try several dishes. The Eggs Benny stood out with its perfectly poached eggs and flavorful hollandaise sauce, probably the best I’ve ever had. The country ham that came with the Farmhouse Breakfast was huge and full of flavor. I tried the French Toast, which is made using a cinnamon roll, and it was a delightful twist - sweet and satisfying. The German potatoes were a highlight, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also tried the bread pudding, which had a nice crunchy exterior and a soft, creamy inside. As for drinks, I can recommend the iced vanilla caramel latte and the iced caramel macchiato from the coffee bar - both were excellent. One thing to note is the cafe's popularity, especially during rush hours, so there might be a wait. I found going early on a Sunday morning to be a good strategy as it was less crowded. Overall, Kite & Key Cafe is a cute spot with tasty breakfast and lunch options, and I’m looking forward to returning for another enjoyable meal.

I had breakfast at Friendship Diner in Evansville and overall, I had a decent experience. We got seated and received water right away, though it did take a little while for our order to be taken and about 45 minutes for the food to arrive. We ordered French toast and pancakes, and while it wasn't the quickest meal, the flavors were worth the wait. The server was incredibly nice, and even though the service wasn't the fastest, she added a positive touch to our visit. It seemed like the kitchen was having a few challenges, which I overheard from other tables, but it didn't detract much from our experience. The bathroom was clean, which is always a plus. They had a good special that day—steak and eggs—which was well-prepared and delicious. Despite the plain interior, the restaurant felt comfortable and inviting. The chicken fried steak was excellent, and the bacon was cooked just right—crispy without being burnt. While the "German" potatoes and eggs weren't exactly what I'd hoped for, the overall quality of the food was satisfactory. The plates were warmed, keeping everything at the right temperature until the last bite, which I appreciated. Friendship Diner is a friendly place with tasty offerings, and even though I'm usually tough on places that don't surpass my own cooking, I think this spot is worth trying.

As a Founder's member at 10-8 Cafe in Evansville, my wife and I felt like royalty during our lunch visit. The Founder's Lounge atmosphere is just perfect, really adding to our experience. The food was outstanding. My wife absolutely loved the bourbon glaze on her salmon and joked she’d drink it by the pitcher. My burger was not only huge but delicious, and the presentation was gorgeous. We also ordered the Buffalo wings, which were very good, and the French fries were spot on. Our server was both attentive and amiable, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Bryan, who was incredibly nice and welcoming. We also tried the chicken tenders, and they were very good as well. The service was fast and friendly, ensuring we never had to wait long for anything. A special shoutout to Allie, the great bartender in the Founder's Lounge, who consistently made sure we had excellent drinks and service. The portions were very generous, and we certainly didn’t leave hungry. Overall, 10-8 Cafe provided us with a wonderful dining experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I stopped by the Cross-Eyed Cricket Family Restaurant in Evansville for breakfast, and what a charming little spot! The food was delicious, offering something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for breakfast or lunch. I snapped a couple of pictures of the Deep Fried Funnel Cake and Cast Iron Heaven, which came with eggs and meat—absolutely amazing. The rolls with strawberry butter were so good that I ended up taking a dozen rolls and a pint of the butter home for Monday's workday treat. The home cooking style really shines through. The service was top-notch, with our server being especially sweet and attentive. I did feel that some of the food seemed reheated rather than fresh, but the Ham and Bean special was outstanding. I recommend sticking with the specials for the best experience. The place itself has a very cute interior with a quaint outdoor seating area. There were a few flies and gnats inside, possibly because they're focusing on their new downtown location. Despite that, it's an excellent place for breakfast, and the Christian values and messages add a nice touch. The building has an old-time diner feel, complete with the delightful aroma of bacon and fresh coffee. It's easy to find with Google Maps, and there's plenty of free parking available. The experience was so good that I'm already planning to come back for breakfast again.

We love visiting Cracker Barrel in Evansville, especially for breakfast, and we do so quite often. Recently, even though it was a busy morning with several large parties, we had a great experience. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie, which was perfectly hot and delicious. I tried the seasoned grilled chicken, which I've enjoyed before, but this time it was cold, and the baked potato was undercooked, unfortunately. On the bright side, the green beans were tasty, and the new sugar plum tea was a delightful treat. Our waitress was clearly busy, so we didn't get drink refills, and she didn't check back on us after dropping off the ticket with our meals. At checkout, we mentioned this, and the cashier was apologetic, understanding about the cold potatoes, and promised to pass along our feedback. Despite this, we love Cracker Barrel for their usual excellent service, quality food, and warm environment. Today, the service was unexpectedly outstanding, and I felt grateful for our overall experience. The manager certainly deserves praise for maintaining such a welcoming atmosphere. We've been coming here for years, appreciating the cozy aesthetic and delicious food. While my grandpa misses their Roast Beef, I still consider Cracker Barrel one of my favorite places to dine. The store is a bonus, offering fantastic merchandise, especially during the Autumn and holiday seasons. The special displays are always a joy to browse. As long as they keep the experience enjoyable and prices reasonable, I'll remain a loyal customer for years to come. Always great service and great food, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

The Diner By Meles in Evansville is a great spot for breakfast. It's a cozy place with all the classic diner meals and specials you could want. Our group of four was seated quickly, and the food arrived fast. Everything was delicious, from the crispy bacon to the massive pancake sandwich and excellent biscuits and gravy. The pork chilaquiles were a new and delightful experience for me. The coffee was standard for a diner—good but not exceptional—but the waiter was attentive, offering refills and checking in regularly. The establishment is very clean, and the restrooms are beautiful and well-kept. I initially thought their business might be slow, but the parking lot was full, which was a good sign. There’s plenty of free parking available in their large lot, and it's easy to find using Google Maps, close to Interstate 69 on Green River Road. The atmosphere inside is relaxing, with casual and neat decorations. From the moment we entered until we left, we enjoyed the experience. The food was perfectly prepared and arrived quickly, and we never had to ask for drink refills. The service was outstanding, making the meal even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back for another awesome breakfast.

During our drive from south to north, we were on the hunt for a casual diner experience and stumbled upon Cleavers Chicago Style Flavor in Evansville. Right from the start, the place had an inviting vibe despite its bold signs about restroom use. The menu caught our attention with its wide range of offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We started our day with breakfast, and I chose the Greek Skillet, while my companion opted for the Steak Skillet with over-easy eggs and toast on the side. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying. I was impressed with how quickly the food was served, and the staff was friendly and attentive, always ensuring our drinks were full and fresh. Later, we tried a few items from the lunch and dinner menu, and every dish we sampled made us happy. The turkey with gravy and stuffing tasted like comforting home-cooked fare. Even as we dined in, we noticed a steady stream of deliveries and pickups, which speaks volumes about the quality and popularity of the food. Overall, Cleavers Chicago Style Flavor proved to be a fantastic spot for breakfast, and I can't wait to return. With fast service, clean surroundings, and a friendly atmosphere, it's a place I would recommend to anyone. You can't go wrong with their lunch or dinner options either. Kudos to the chef for making such a memorable dining experience!

Wow, the food at Walton’s is fantastic! The building has a great layout that I loved, and the atmosphere was really enjoyable. I tried the catfish, cornbread stuffing, turnip greens, and hush patties, all of which were delicious. The top-shelf Bloody Mary was the best I've ever had! I also got the blueberry lemon pie, and omg, it was amazing! The onion block was very good, too. The wait staff was nice and friendly, although our waiter had some trouble remembering things like bringing sweet and low for the tea, which we had to ask for multiple times. Despite that, I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. It was my first time here, and I loved the vibe. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, but we managed to find enough room for our party of 16 at two tables. The food didn't take too long to come out, even with the crowd. There was a complimentary appetizer of popcorn, which was a nice touch, and a large selection of items on the menu, both food and drink. If you enjoy a bit of spice, you'll love the flavors here. The service was a bit slow given the number of people there, and my salad arrived only a minute or two before my main meal. However, the friendly service and interesting atmosphere made up for it. We will definitely be back!

I had a great experience at Denny's for breakfast in Evansville. The food was fantastic, and I really appreciated that they brought the appetizer out right away instead of making us wait for everything at once. Shannon, our waiter, was friendly and incredibly attentive, making sure we had what we needed and was great with my daughter, which was a big plus. The food was cooked perfectly, and you could tell the fryer grease was fresh, which makes a big difference. I ended up having dinner there too, and the double cheeseburger was huge and delicious. The amount and quality of food you get for the price is impressive. The restaurant was clean, and the Art Deco design of the building was neat to see. The staff were all very friendly and kept our drinks refilled without us having to ask. I even ordered salmon and steak, and both were seasoned perfectly, which isn't what you'd expect at Denny's. I'm definitely planning on going back and would recommend it for anyone looking for good food at a reasonable price.
