La Barista Espresso

We love coming here! La Barista Espresso is an awesome mom-and-pop shop with great sandwiches, breakfast, and pastries. I've fallen for the egg salad and absolutely can't resist the bear claw. The service is very good; it might take a little time if there's a line, but it's worth the wait. This nice little cafe in the Suisun Valley part of Fairfield is a true gem. The lady at the front was so nice and made a perfect iced mocha and chicken pesto panini sandwich. I really enjoy having breakfast here and will definitely come again. I'm so glad I finally stopped by! I've always noticed customers in the drive-thru on my way to drop off my son at SCC, and now I know why. The inside is cozy, and it warms my heart to see employees calling customers by name. I enjoyed my sandwich and coffee while catching up on some emails. The place looks cute from the outside, and though I didn't go in, their little drive-thru is adorable. The woman who took my order was friendly. I ordered my usual vanilla iced latte with oat milk, and though it was almost $7, it was tasty—just not as strong as I'm used to. This place is definitely a must-visit!
Jelly Donut
1615 W Texas St, Fairfield

Walking into Jelly Donut is such a bright and fun experience with its eye-catching pink decor! The shop closes at noon, so it's best to get there early to enjoy the freshest treats. There's an incredible variety of donuts to choose from, all of them delicious. The staff greeted us warmly, and we even got to try a few samples, which was a delightful surprise. They offer more than just donuts, too—breakfast sandwiches are available and they're equally tasty. On one occasion, I arrived at 8 am and the donuts weren’t as fresh, which was a bit disappointing. However, getting there right when they open at 4 am (5 am on Sundays) is a game-changer. The aroma of freshly baked donuts and the taste of warm chocolate on a chocolate bar is simply amazing. The staff are super friendly, ensuring you get exactly what you want, and the prices are reasonable. Jelly Donut is definitely my go-to spot for an early morning treat, whether before or after a shift. Highly recommend!
The Napa Deli

The Napa Deli in Fairfield is a fantastic spot for breakfast with an amazing selection of sandwiches and salads. If this place were in a trendier area, it would definitely be buzzing with people. The sandwiches are generously sized and typically around $14. I tried the Suisun Valley Club and the Windsor Cheese Panini with added chicken, and both were delicious. For dessert, I indulged in a salted caramel brownie and an apricot bar, both of which were absolutely delightful. I am really looking forward to trying all their offerings, including the sandwiches, desserts, salads, and sides. On a previous visit, I tried the Berry Bleu Cheese Salad and enjoyed it a lot. While the total bill came to about $52, which is a bit on the higher side, the quality of the food was worth it. It's important to note that they might prefer card payments over cash. This place is perfect for a quick lunch stop. The Napa Deli offers a beautiful variety of salads, sandwiches, and pasta salads, making it hard to choose just one. I had the Chicken Salad with feta cheese, strawberries, and blueberries topped with a balsamic vinaigrette, and it was delightful. A great tip for busy families is that the deli offers homemade lasagna and chicken enchiladas to go, which is an excellent choice when you’re unsure about dinner plans.
Bab's Delta Diner

I visited Bab's Delta Diner on a Thursday morning around 10 am, and it was quite busy, which is always a promising sign. While there was a wait, I managed to find seating for one person. If you're coming with a group, definitely consider arriving earlier. I ordered the "4 slices of Bacon" breakfast, which came with a choice of country potatoes or fried rice, two eggs, and toast. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and service were both commendable, and I plan to return. Located near the Suisun Marina, the family-owned diner offers a great location and plenty of seating options both inside and out. Their menu is diverse, and everything we tried was top-notch. Initially, I was in the mood for French toast with fruit, and their version did not disappoint. Despite a slight wait for menus and water, the staff was friendly and attentive, especially our server, Cassey, who went out of her way to make our visit enjoyable. It's a great spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast before exploring nearby attractions like Johnson Lake, Bodega Bay, and Oxbow Market in Napa. The hotcakes were amazing, and their refillable coffee was a nice touch. I highly recommend making a stop at Bab's Delta Diner if you find yourself in Fairfield.

Joy of Eating Café

Donald Polikrovska
Joy of Eating Cafe in Suisun City is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys classic cafe food without the typical greasy spoon atmosphere. The place feels cozy, reminiscent of home-cooked meals, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service was top-notch—friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I ordered "The Suisun Scrambler" with hash browns, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portions were quite generous. The bread, baked fresh daily, is absolutely a must-try—it’s seriously amazing. I also had the garden omelet, which was filled with spinach, mushrooms, onions, and my choice of cheese. While the toast was excellent, I recommend ordering it thinner since the standard is quite thick. Despite one slight hiccup with the potatoes being overcooked, the overall experience was enjoyable. The California Omelette, packed with crab, cheese, and avocado, was a standout dish with flavors that blended beautifully. The chicken fried steak and eggs were also delightful. The staff truly added to the experience. Our server was incredibly friendly, calling us “amigos” with a genuine smile, which made us feel right at home. Overall, we had a wonderful meal complemented by excellent customer service. Joy of Eating Cafe is definitely worth a visit, whether you're a local or just passing through. Don’t miss out on this gem!
Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch

After hearing so much about Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch in Fairfield, I decided to give it a shot and it was absolutely worth the wait to be seated. The breakfast meals are not only cheaper than IHOP but they offer far superior taste and quality. I was impressed by the colorful veggie medley that you won’t find anywhere else. The chicken tenders were flavorful and moist, and the seasoned fries were great. The chicken fried steak meal was outstanding, and the coffee was decent. The service was attentive, and I would recommend this place to everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s an absolute must-checkout if you're visiting the area. The mimosas were delightful, and the Bloody Mary was amazing. The beignets are huge and fluffy, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the Benedict and it tasted wonderful. My colleagues tried some hash, and everything looked and smelled incredible. I was pleased with the great portion sizes for the reasonable prices, making it an excellent value. While there was a bit of a wait, it was definitely worth it for the food and service we received. I’m already planning my next visit!

Generous portions, good beer, and tasty food! We've been missing out on this place, and we will definitely be back to try more things. The menu is so much better now, especially with the French dip being upgraded to tri-tip instead of roast beef—it's on our list for next time! We only tried the crepes during this visit, and it was my husband's first time having them. While the crepes were okay, I've had better ones with different sauces and ingredients, but that's just me. My husband wasn't a fan. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal. I had the rib-eye steak, two eggs over easy, and two plain crepes. The service was great, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Couldn't even finish my steak, so make sure to bring your appetite! The Maverick is a 5-star joint in my book. It's become a routine for us to stop here, even after having breakfast elsewhere. It's just that good!

On a Sunday morning visit around 11 AM, I found The Landing buzzing with activity but was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. The French toast was enjoyable, though slightly dry, and could have used more berry sauce. My orange mimosa was satisfactory, and my partner couldn't stop praising their latte. The breakfast sandwich was impressive, but the “wine country” deconstructed sandwich truly stood out, featuring excellent multigrain sourdough. We stumbled upon this gem while exploring breakfast spots, and it proved to be a great find with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. The outdoor dining area was beautiful, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Watching a storm roll in from the giant windows was a special experience. The food and coffee were amazing, with a great selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. I’m thrilled to have such a beautifully designed restaurant in my area and can't wait to revisit, especially to try the fried chicken sandwich next time. If you plan to become a regular like me, definitely sign up for their rewards program. It’s free, and you earn money back on every meal or drink. Cheers!

Breakfast at Rockville Kitchen + Bar in Fairfield was fantastic. The place feels familiar, is very clean, and the staff is friendly. We didn't have to wait to be seated, and the food came out quickly. The homemade touch is undeniable. I tried the chicken fried steak, and it was spot on—perfect breading and juicy inside, not overdone. The hash browns were great too, crispy outside and soft inside. This has become a must-visit spot for our Sonoma NASCAR weekends. It was our second visit, and the experience matched the first—great service and flavorful, non-greasy food. I also had the carbonara pasta with bacon, which was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Bon appétit!
Journey Coffee Company

Journey Coffee Company is my go-to spot for coffee in Fairfield, and I’m really impressed with what they offer. The coffee is simply top-notch, with a variety of third-wave brews that include amazing pour-overs and a must-try lavender latte for espresso lovers. Their avocado toast is a standout, and their house-made scones are baked just right, pairing perfectly with their drinks. The vibe inside is modern and chic, with an industrial touch that makes it a comfortable spot to relax or work, thanks to their open space and bright, large windows. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, especially at the Chadbourne location. The staff knows their beans and consistently delivers great drinks, even the decaf options are impressive compared to others I’ve tried around the Bay Area. It's a plus that they roast their own beans, so I often take some home. While I wish the sit-down dining experience matched the quality of the coffee, with some improvement needed in the presentation and freshness of the food, Journey Coffee Company shines as a quick stop for coffee and snacks. The location might seem a bit out of the way in a quiet industrial neighborhood, but it’s worth the trip, with ample parking and easy access from I-80. It’s clear why this family is expanding their business, and they deserve continued success. Journey Coffee Company will definitely remain a regular stop for me.

While getting my tire fixed, a shop guy recommended I try Your Town Café for a quick bite, particularly the BLT. Walking over, I was not disappointed. The BLT was amazing! Not to mention, I grabbed a late lunch there too, opting for the California burger with fries. The burger was flavorful, with perfectly melted cheese, and there were more fries than I needed, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was top-notch, with constant refills of my freshly brewed iced tea. I frequent this place with my aqua fit students every Saturday after class, and none of us have had a bad meal yet. We've tried almost everything, and the onion rings and fries are winners, often opting for "halfsies." On my first visit, I ordered the steak omelet while my mom enjoyed the French toast combo. Every dish was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. As someone who loves to brunch, I'm thrilled I discovered this café. It's affordable, offers great food, and provides a cozy, homey environment. Highly recommended!

Great food and a fantastic variety at The Maple Bar Cafe for breakfast in Fairfield! It's not just the usual eggs, bacon, and hash; they have so much more. While they offer the basics, I recommend exploring their unique options. Plus, the mimosas are tasty, though a bit pricey—expect to spend at least $25 per person. But trust me, it's worth every penny. My husband and I love finding great breakfast spots, and we've found a winner here! The Maple Bar Cafe in Suisun boasts an extensive menu of unique breakfast dishes. We tried the highly recommended French Toast Combo, and it was amazing—the thick country bread and generous portions left us satisfied. We also shared the Breakfast Burrito, loaded with deliciousness, and ended up with leftovers for another meal. The atmosphere is fresh and modern, and the music was amazing, making it a place where you want to linger. Our server, Fabian, made our first visit memorable, and we can't wait to return. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic, though the onion rings, while flavorful and crispy, had a mushy onion inside. Despite that, everything else impressed us. Portions are large, and while it may seem pricey, the Spanish flavor on the potatoes was a delightful surprise. I will definitely eat here again!

Visiting Slanted Tree Kitchen & Taproom for breakfast in Fairfield was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy, and the walls adorned with unique artwork added a nice touch. The service was excellent, and Malia, our waitress, was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had all we needed throughout our visit. The drinks were a highlight, with a diverse cocktail menu that didn't disappoint. We started with the Irish nachos on fries and fried pickles for appetizers, both of which were delicious and flavorful. For entrées, I enjoyed the chicken italiano, while my companions savored the steak salad and chicken penne pasta. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Although the dining room was a bit small, it wasn't busy during our visit, so we had a comfortable meal. I loved watching sports on the many TV screens, which made it a great spot to relax and unwind. While the menu may be limited before 4:30 PM, what is on offer is excellent, and the overall experience made it worth the visit. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a great meal and some good drinks.

The Original Mel's Diner in Fairfield is our go-to spot for breakfast whenever we're in town, and it never disappoints. Their waffles and pancakes, especially with fresh strawberries, are absolutely delicious. The service is always top-notch. Our server, Jesus, was outstanding—attentive, kind, and professional. It’s clear that Mel’s has high standards for both food quality and service. The portions are generous and flavorful, thanks to the attentive work in the kitchen. I also want to give a shout-out to Luis, who was quick and efficient in cleaning tables, ensuring everything is ready for the next guest. I had a great experience at Nation's Giant Hamburgers for breakfast in Fairfield. Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by for a meal. Their burgers and fries never disappoint—they're always delicious and satisfying. If you have room, I highly recommend trying their cheesecake or milkshake to finish off your meal. While the prices have risen a bit, the quality and taste of the food make it worthwhile. The service was good during my visit, and the environment, while different at night, worked just fine for me during the day. Overall, it's a solid spot when you're craving a hearty burger in Fairfield.

Black Bear Diner Suisun City

The Black Bear Diner in Suisun City has consistently offered great service, especially from the young Latina waitress who was quick, friendly, and kept my beverage filled without needing to ask. My son and grandson are big fans of the country fried steak meals, which have become a favorite for us. The food generally meets expectations, though I did have an instance where the hot Italian patties seemed undercooked, which didn't sit well with me. One downside of my visit was a lack of some ingredients like spinach and strawberries, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the manager with short hair and glasses made the experience a bit awkward by being abrupt and rude to her staff, and the interaction left me feeling rushed. While the diner has a few drawbacks and feels pretty basic to me, my kids love the bears outside, which adds a fun touch to the visit. If it wasn't for a monthly business meeting, I might choose other nearby options, but for a quick breakfast with friendly service, it does the trick.
Mimi's Cafe

Leticia Sierra
During my visit to Mimi's Cafe in Fairfield, I had an overall pleasant experience, especially when it came to breakfast and dessert. The breakfast items were delightful, and I was particularly impressed with the service. The staff seemed genuinely happy and attentive, which added to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant. While there were mixed feelings about some of the dinner items, like the french onion soup and tuna melt, the breakfast and brunch options appeared to be the safer bet, with many customers enjoying their meals during those times. Desserts also stood out, with the bread pudding being extremely delicious. The salmon with mashed potatoes and garlic spinach, as well as the jambalaya, were satisfying choices. Although there were noticeable price increases and some changes—like the absence of carrot bread with meals—the chicken parmesan and corn potato soup were tasty highlights. Despite some issues with food temperature and taste for certain dinner items, the great customer service and enjoyable breakfast options make it a place worth considering for a comfortable morning meal.
