Steadfast Cafe
17406 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach
(657) 204-9333
Elbin Rowe
Steadfast Cafe is a super cool hidden gem I stumbled upon while waiting for my bike to get serviced. The food here is crazy good, especially if you're looking for a light, healthy breakfast. I tried the blueberry grilled cheese and a honey vanilla cinnamon latte, both of which were incredible. The place has a cool coffee cafe vibe, and the service was great. I loved the coffee so much that I came back a second time with my family while vacationing in Huntington Beach. The cafe is quite popular around lunchtime and can get crowded, but there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor space. While the coffee and counter service were pretty impressive, I found the ultimate breakfast croissant to be a bit of a letdown—it was chewy and stale, despite the tasty filling and aioli. That said, I would definitely come back for the coffee. Parking is convenient with a lot nearby. All in all, Steadfast Cafe is a cute and cozy breakfast spot in Huntington that's worth a visit. It offers great coffee flavor combos, milk options, and delicious food. The breakfast sandwich was delightful, but the standout for me was the quiche, which was just perfect. If you're in the area and looking for a place to eat, don't hesitate to stop here. You won’t be disappointed!
Aunt Yese's Home Cooking
12444 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove

Jordan Lopez
I've visited Aunt Yese's Home Cooking for breakfast in Garden Grove twice now, and both times have been incredible. The service and food are top-notch. Initially, I went for a simple breakfast with pancakes, which were delicious, and this time I tried the chilaquiles with a side of French toast. It was amazing! The food tastes fresh, just like homemade. The service is fantastic, and the place has a cozy vibe. If you're after good, honest food, you should definitely check this place out. Be prepared for generous portions, so come hungry! "The Works" offers great value for money, and the Chicken Fried Steak is a must-try—tender and perfectly seasoned. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food arrives quickly. Aunt Yese's is a gem, especially if you're in the area visiting places like Great Wolf. The restaurant serves fresh Mexican food with delicious, well-spiced dishes full of nutrition. The homemade beans are creamy and flavorful. Everything about our dining experience was excellent, and if I could give more than five stars, I would. The quesadilla and chicken fried steak were both generous enough to share, and each bite was satisfying. Our plan was to try a different diner the next day, but we couldn't resist returning to Aunt Yese's for another rewarding meal. If I lived nearby, this would be my regular breakfast spot. The staff consistently delivers outstanding customer service.
Ham 'n Scram
5871 Westminster Blvd., Westminster
(714) 899-9100
Alex Rai
First off, the owners at Ham 'n Scram are some of the friendliest I've encountered. Even during busy times, they greet you with a smile, which really makes a difference. The original breakfast burrito, filled with smoked ham, eggs, cheese, and hash browns, is simply fantastic. I stumbled upon this gem while hunting for the best breakfast burrito in town, and it didn't disappoint. Jackpot! The vibe here is great, with cool owners and a cool logo, plus the food is amazing. I always prefer supporting mom-and-pop shops, and this place is a perfect example of why. I've tried both the original and the meat lovers burrito. While the meat lovers was a bit too meaty for my taste, the original hit the spot. Next time, I'm eager to try the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast burrito has become my favorite, filled with excellent ingredients that don't overpower each other. It’s well-sized, fills you up, but doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. The salsa is a must-try, even if you’re not a fan of spicy food. It’s mild, very flavorful, and it complements the burrito well. Their soups are delightful, like homemade, and if you're in the mood for a sandwich, you're in for a treat. This place is a breakfast lover's dream come true. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely exploring more of their menu. 10/10 recommend.
Tribute Coffee House

Arshelle Diffey
Tribute Coffee House in Garden Grove has truly won me over with its outstanding breakfast offerings and exceptional service. The food is top-notch and incredibly well-priced for the quality you get. I ordered the chicken salad, chicken pesto panini, and waffles for my 2-year-old, and everything was flavorful and satisfying. My little one absolutely loved the waffles! The staff here is amazing. When I got my drink—a large, blended chai latte—I was impressed by the size and presentation. It tasted fantastic. On my second visit, the staff not only remembered me but also mentioned they appreciated my previous review. That personal touch really highlighted how special and unique this place is. Their service is impeccable; the two staff members were so patient and took time to explain the flavors and sweetness levels of the coffees we ordered. I tried the pistachio, honey lavender, and caramel iced coffees, all of which were delicious without needing adjustments. I'm so glad I made a stop here. The pistachio latte, croissant breakfast sandwich, and oatmeal were all divine. The oatmeal was creamy and unlike any I've had before. Even though I don't live nearby, I'm definitely planning to return when I'm in the area again. My husband was also a fan of his funky monkey. Tribute Coffee House is a gem, and I highly recommend stopping in for a coffee and breakfast.

We visited Denny's in Garden Grove for breakfast to celebrate our daughter's 13th birthday, and it was an excellent experience! The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was fresh and hot. The highlight of our visit was definitely the service. The staff created such a welcoming atmosphere, and they even surprised our daughter with a birthday dessert and a cheerful song, making our day extra special. I highly recommend this restaurant! Everything was amazing, from the cleanliness of the place to the freshness of the food. I want to give a special shoutout to Maricela T., who delivered warm and engaging service. She truly loves her job and ensured everything was top-notch, from dining in to checking out. Hiring more people like her would be a great move! Overall, this Denny's location has consistently provided good experiences, with Maricela being a standout. Her friendly nature and menu knowledge made our visit even more enjoyable. Fantastic customer service and excellent food!
MoonGoat Coffee
7200 Acacia Ave, Garden Grove

Ray La Force
MoonGoat Coffee in Garden Grove is a great spot for breakfast and coffee. The cafe has a charming atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The outdoor patio is shaded, making it a pleasant place to relax. We visited on a Sunday and it was bustling, likely because of the nearby church crowd. Their food menu offers a variety of options. I tried the overnight oats, which were delicious, and the moon goat on focaccia bread. On another visit, I enjoyed a seasonal Strawberry Brulée Latte (iced), which was well-balanced and refreshing. The matcha version was impressive too, with a strong and distinct matcha flavor. The service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated the spacious seating area. It's a cozy place to hang out, work, or simply enjoy a good coffee. They roast their own coffee, so it's always fresh. The vibe inside is cool and inviting, with a stylish loft area. My favorite drink so far is the latte with cascara flavoring, and their biscuit sandwich is truly a standout. I look forward to returning and trying more, especially their pour-over coffee. MoonGoat is definitely one of my top picks for coffee spots around here.
8th Haus Cafe
656 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim
(714) 774-8013
Alex Hall
8th Haus Cafe is a fantastic breakfast spot! If you're in a hurry, this might not be the place for you, as there's usually a line, but trust me, it's worth the wait. We were a party of three and waited about 20 minutes, but the moment we tasted the food, we knew it was justified. The lavender lemonade was divine, striking the perfect balance of flavors. The breakfast sandwich was delicious too; I made a tweak by swapping bacon for guacamole due to dietary preferences, and it was still a hit—10/10 would recommend! I also tried the bulgogi Benedict and paired it with a matcha lavender latte. While the latte was a bit sweet for my liking, it was still tasty. The fusion of Korean flavors with classic breakfast dishes is unique and delightful—a real treat for the taste buds. The staff was incredibly friendly. We visited on a busy Saturday morning, and though we had to wait, their hospitality made it worthwhile. One waiter went above and beyond when I needed a phone to confirm our seating, generously offering her personal phone. A huge thank you to the manager as well, who took care of my friend's purse, keeping it safe until after closing hours. This was my first visit, recommended by friends, and I was not disappointed. The service and food were top-notch! Even though we waited about 30 minutes, my coffee cup was always full, and the food presentation was impressive. This spot is definitely one of Anaheim's hidden gems, and I can't wait to return.
The Original Pancake House
1418 E Lincoln Ave, Anaheim

Jovana Montiel
Nice place for breakfast! We had a short wait of 5 minutes for a table, and they really exceeded our expectations. The pancakes were fluffy, rich, and filling, with so many kinds to choose from. Our dishes were plentiful, hot, and really good. The service was very quick, super friendly, and the place was very clean. We enjoyed everything we had! I tried the country fried steak and eggs, which came with three pancakes and a side of hash browns, and it was all so good. The table next to us got the apple pancake; it looked huge and smelled amazing. I knew I'd have to try it next time. I went back for the apple pancake, and it was bomb! It did take a while to cook, so keep that in mind, but it was definitely worth the wait. The bacon was really good too. The food was great, but if I could, I'd give the service 7 stars. Matthew was not just great with us, but I could see him providing excellent service to others as well. As someone who has traveled a lot, he's one of the best servers I've encountered. This was our first time here, but it's now our go-to place in SoCal. The omelettes were a bit bland but still good. Pancakes were, of course, yummy, and the coffee was decent. Our waitress did a fantastic job. However, seating for the disabled could be improved; we had to wait longer than expected until I mentioned it, and then we were seated within 10 minutes. Overall, a great spot for breakfast!
Country Family Cafe
1736 S Euclid St, Anaheim

Venkatram Moore
During our first trip to Anaheim, we searched Google for breakfast spots and chose Country Family Cafe based on the reviews. I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. It's a family-run place, with everyone from the mother and father to the daughter, cousins, and uncle involved, which is a beautiful and rare touch. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and perfect seasoning. Every bite felt like a delight to the tastebuds. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day for breakfast. If we lived nearby, this could easily become a regular spot for us. Many regulars came in during our visit and received warm, familiar greetings, which speaks volumes about the place. The staff truly made me feel like a guest in their home, with their friendly service and excellent food. I highly recommend the chilaquiles verde; they were the best I’ve had in a long time. We actually discovered this gem after leaving another restaurant due to lack of parking on a street sweeping day. The location might be humble, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The coffee was smooth, and the Mexican Breakfast menu offered plentiful portions. The menudo was excellent, too. If you're near Disneyland and craving good menudo, this is the place. It’s definitely worth the short 5-10 minute drive. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
240 W Chapman Ave Suite 101, Orange
(657) 284-1850
Jean-François Lodigiani
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery in Garden Grove, is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves a genuine American brunch experience. The coffee is solid, with constant refills that keep you going. While you might need to wait around 30-40 minutes even with a reservation, the wait is definitely worth it. The servers are friendly and helpful, making the experience enjoyable. I visited the Orange City location, which is located in a lovely area and added to the whole experience. Though the portions are on the smaller side, they offer shareable dishes that make up for it. My go-to is the Benny Duo, and the habanero pork belly is always top-notch. The boozy drinks, however, could use some improvement. As a breakfast snob, the manager and server totally turned our experience around after a minor hiccup with our hash browns. When things didn't come out as ordered, they handled it quickly and professionally, showing great customer service. On a Monday at 11 a.m., the wait was about 10-20 minutes, indicating how popular they are. The lavender latte and green juice were decent, but the mains, like the 3-protein omelet and pork belly Benedict, definitely impressed. We love our hash browns extra crispy, and after letting them know about the mishap, they sorted it out right away. Yessia, our server, did a fantastic job of making sure everything was to our liking. One of my favorite aspects is the option to have the "Benny Duo," which lets you enjoy two different eggs Benedict dishes. I had the Habanero Pork Belly Benny and the Pork Chile Verde Benny, both of which were delicious. The hash browns were crispy yet soft on the inside, and both dishes were thoroughly enjoyable. Our family also loved the French Toast Neat and the Strawberry Shortcake Pancake. My son enjoyed the corned beef hash and the breakfast burrito, even though it could have used more spice. If you’re into spice, they have multiple hot sauce options, which our kids enjoyed. Overall, Snooze is a great brunch spot with friendly staff, tasty food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the area!
The Scratch Room
2415 Lincoln Ave, Anaheim
(714) 236-5613
Genevieve Hernandez
The food at The Scratch Room is amazing! If you're looking for a homemade breakfast, this is the place to be. I went there on my birthday (totally unplanned) and was delighted with a birthday slice of homemade Banana Nut Bread. It was delicious! The staff are genuinely nice and friendly, providing great service alongside their delicious food. I tried the fried steak skillet with a side of biscuits and gravy, and honestly, those were the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. I could visit this place just for them! We only had to wait about 10 minutes on a Sunday morning, which was perfect. I recommend getting there early because by 8 am, people were pouring in. The food selection and service make it worth it, even if it doesn’t look like the best place in town at first glance. I'll definitely stop by again next time I’m in the area. Their banana bread is truly incredible. Despite having 10 families ahead of us, we were seated within 15 minutes. The food was great and very filling. My dad, who is usually hard to please, gave this place two thumbs up! The waitress was fantastic, especially with our baby, and made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend giving The Scratch Room a try for breakfast. You won’t be disappointed!
Kaye's Kitchen
12939 Main St, Garden Grove
(714) 636-6755
German Alexander Stone
Kaye's Kitchen in Garden Grove has truly become my go-to breakfast spot whenever I'm in the area. The place has a charming diner vibe with excellent food and unbeatable prices. During a recent trip to Disneyland, my wife and I decided to give it a try, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I loved the eggs Benedict, and the BLT was delicious. However, the real star for me was the pancakes—they were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. My wife and I also shared a bacon and cheddar omelette, which was cooked perfectly to our request with well-done edges. Along with the omelette, we chose home fries, which were seasoned just right, and sourdough toast that was nicely buttered. Both the bacon and sausage were flavorful, and the toast came with a good variety of jam and jelly packets. Another highlight was their salsa, which added a nice kick to the meal without being too hot. The staff was attentive, and they promptly cleared extra plates, giving us more room at the table. Even though the condiments aren’t kept on the table, the staff was quick to bring us whatever we needed. Parking was convenient with ample space in the back, though the lot was under some construction. It's worth noting that this isn't managed by the restaurant itself, so no fault there. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast experience at Kaye's Kitchen. The staff's willingness to accommodate requests and their friendly demeanor added to the overall positive experience. This diner is great whether you're stopping in solo or with a group, though a note for parents: there's no changing table in the men's restroom. Can't wait to visit again and maybe try their burger special next time!
85°C Bakery Cafe - Garden Grove
9892 Westminster Ave Ste. 312, Garden Grove
(714) 590-8585
Luz Platter
I'm still dreaming about those taro buns from 85°C Bakery Cafe in Garden Grove. This place might look pretty unassuming since it's in a strip mall with a small storefront, but wow, it surprised me with its range of delicious options at really affordable prices. Honestly, it's cheaper than many places on the east coast. Every pastry I tried was a hit, and those taro buns are the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go back! Even though the bakery is on the smaller side, they have all the usual items at the same prices, and the drink menu is the same, too. You can order drinks on the side, and they have beautiful cakes displayed in glass windows off to the side. The staff here are super nice, and there are a decent number of tables for sitting. If there's one thing they could improve, it's the amount of toppings in their drinks. For the price they charge, they could be a bit more generous with those. Overall, this place is great. I love their drinks, especially the milk tea and mango slush, which were amazing. We once got a birthday cake here, and it disappeared so quickly. The strawberry cream cake slice was also delicious! I absolutely recommend it. Whenever my family and I go out for pho nearby, we always stop by. It's so convenient. The blueberry muffin is delicious, and the single slice cheesecake is good too. The drinks are consistently good across the board.
Harry's Place
7181 W Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove

Jacqueline Simanovski
I love starting my day at Harry's Place for breakfast in Garden Grove. This old school diner is like a blast from the past, with décor that takes you back to the 1970s. You order at the counter and then bring your number to your table, choosing between indoor or outdoor seating. It's the perfect spot for a casual sit-down or takeout meal on Garden Grove Blvd and Goldenwest. The breakfast burrito is my go-to in the morning—it's filling and tastes amazing. The pancakes and Harry's breakfast combo are also top-notch. For lunch, I switch it up with the Gyro combo or a cheeseburger, both delicious options. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so there's always plenty to choose from. The service is impressively fast, and the staff is super friendly. The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone. The place is smaller but has plenty of parking, two TVs inside, and a friendly vibe. They even asked if we wanted ice and lemon with our water, which was a nice touch. On my last visit, I ordered the rib eye steak and eggs with house potatoes and sourdough toast—everything was fresh and flavorful. My husband loved his French toast with extra crispy bacon and an avocado burger. We paid $34.58 for everything, which is very reasonable given the decent portion sizes. The food is consistently good, with juicy meat and fresh ingredients. The fried chicken and burgers are also fantastic. Harry's Place is a great spot for very good food at a fair price, and the excellent customer service makes it even better. I’ll definitely be back. Enjoy!
S & J Gran Cafe
12835 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove
(714) 539-3526
Maria Abdul-Hameed
S & J Gran Cafe is the perfect spot for a chill, laid-back Sunday brunch. The vibes are just right, and the food is fantastic. From the first bite of my Huevos Rancheros to my kids' fun Mickey Mouse-shaped pancakes, everything was delicious. My wife’s Eggs Florentine made me wish I'd ordered the same! Their homemade tortillas are a standout, and I’ve got to give credit to the lovely lady making them outside in the heat with a smile. The drinks were just as impressive. The café de olla and orange juices were refreshing, and the hazelnut iced latte was a treat. Plus, bottomless mimosas are always a win in my book. I always make it a point to grab a pineapple spinach fresca whenever I'm headed to Disney. While the Gran Burrito didn’t hit the mark for me this time—being a bit soggy and overly salty—there were so many other great options on the menu. Our server was attentive and made sure our party of five had everything we needed. The atmosphere and staff made the visit worthwhile. This place has turned into a bit of a ritual for me, and I’d definitely come back. Just might give that burrito a pass next time!

During my visit to Harry's Cafe in Garden Grove for breakfast, I was genuinely impressed. The spaghetti dinner I had was delightful, with the spaghetti sauce truly standing out as freshly made and delicious. The buttered cheese bread and salad complemented the meal perfectly. The portions were generous, and I found the prices to be quite reasonable. The friendly and welcoming staff added to the positive experience, making me feel appreciated as a customer. Although the breakfast prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality of the food is worth it. Despite having an issue in the past with a rude employee, my experience this time was vastly different. The service was excellent, and the chicken fried steak meal was hot and satisfying. Overall, Harry's Cafe has proven itself to be a great spot for breakfast, and I look forward to returning.
Mae's Cafe

I just discovered my favorite breakfast spot in the Garden Grove/Westminster area—Mae's Cafe. I hadn't been here in decades since living in Stanton, and it was a delightful surprise. The food is classic American breakfast done right, with outstanding service. I hope they return to being open 24 hours soon. The porterhouse steak and eggs are amazing, as are the biscuits and gravy. Everything they serve for breakfast is top-notch. Mae’s Cafe has a charming old-school family restaurant vibe that I love. On my first visit back, I couldn't get enough of their secret sauce, which is like a lighter version of thousand island dressing, and the fried zucchini was crispy and flavorful. The main dish I tried, the mushroom burger, was fresh and juicy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff. The menu offers a nice variety, catering to different tastes. Portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The attentive staff and delicious food make Mae’s Cafe the best place to dine. Walking in gave me a Hawaiian vibe, maybe because of the aloha spirit from the guests. The service is excellent, and the cool, older vibe of the place adds to its charm. I had breakfast here, and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was enjoyable. My bacon was a bit soggy, and the eggs and hashbrowns were just okay. The French toast was alright, but the syrup wasn't great for me. There might be other menu items that are better that I need to try next time. But overall, Mae’s Cafe is a great spot for a satisfying meal.
Coco's Bakery Restaurant

What a wonderful find! We were on the hunt for a local family restaurant with good food and reasonable prices, and Coco’s fit the bill perfectly. The food was delicious—hot and fresh. I had the cheeseburger and fries, and the lumberjack breakfast. Both were fantastic with huge portions. The friendly and efficient service made it even better. Dulce, our server, was fabulous, very attentive, and pleasant. We drop by this Coco's location whenever we're in the area. This time, it was a packed Saturday morning, but that didn’t phase our server, Heidy. She was busy but attentive. Even though she initially couldn’t get me a carafe of iced tea, my glass was never empty. Our food arrived in a timely manner, hot and perfectly cooked. Kudos to Heidy, the kitchen, and the busboys for a great visit. The cinnamon roll French toast combo was amazing and worth the trip by itself. Even the gluten-free pancakes were good! Going to Coco’s for breakfast is a must if you’re in the area. With a menu offering a wide array of hearty options, there’s something for everyone. Though service was a bit slow, our waitress was friendly, and everything else was great—definitely a five-star experience!
