Bongiorno Bagels
3107 S Gilbert Rd #101, Gilbert

I absolutely love Bongiorno Bagels for breakfast in Gilbert. The moment you walk in, you can see the New York Water Maker, which hints at the authenticity of their bagels. These bagels are the best I've ever had—tasty, crunchy, chewy, and downright perfect. The prices are reasonable, with sandwiches ranging from $8-11, and they're well-sized for what you pay. There's usually a line, but don't let that deter you. It moves quickly, and watching the staff work is entertaining. They're efficient and seem genuinely happy. The variety here is fantastic. You’ll find fresh, delicious bagels and sandwiches with generous cream cheese spreads. If you prefer less spread, just let them know, but I personally enjoy it. My favorite is The Mariano, a sandwich with just the right amount of kick. Even though there's a line out the door, it's part of the charm. The staff is amazing—super friendly and helpful. The bagels are huge and come in lots of flavors, like everything, cinnamon raisin, and jalapeño cheddar. You can build your own breakfast sandwich too. Most bagels are vegan, and they offer a good vegan cream cheese. There's a gluten-free option, but it's better fresh than for later. Seating is limited, so ordering online might be a good idea if you’re in a hurry. Bongiorno Bagels is a must-visit spot. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in Phoenix—or even make a special trip just for these bagels. Hands down, it's the BEST bagel place in Arizona!
The Gilbert House
397 S Gilbert Rd, Gilbert
(480) 507-3383

After visiting the Gilbert Farmers Market, we decided to stop by The Gilbert House for breakfast, and I'm glad we did! The place feels like a converted old house, which gives it a cozy and charming atmosphere. I tried the spicy chorizo omelet; it wasn't very spicy, but it was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients you can really taste. I've heard great things about their famous cinnamon roll, so I’m already planning to return to try it. This restaurant offers a unique setting different from typical chain spots. It's just south of downtown Gilbert and doubles as a lovely event venue. The pavilion can host around 120 people comfortably and has cute photo op areas, including a charming wedding gazebo. You can bring in your own food and drinks here, and a fun food truck would be a great addition. On my first visit with my husband and daughter, I ordered the blueberry pancakes with sausage and eggs, which cost around $20. While a little pricey, the quality was exceptional. My husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak and said he would definitely order it again. My daughter had the French toast with sausage and hash browns, and we all appreciated the friendly and quick service. Though breakfast for the three of us totaled $78 before tip, the quality made it worthwhile. I really loved the historic style of the place, with both indoor and patio seating. We chose to sit outside, and despite it being a little warm, we enjoyed the ambiance. The breakfast menu is extensive with excellent options, and they use high-quality ingredients, cooking in ghee and olive oil, with minimal industrial seed oils. The omelets were delicious, and the rhubarb muffins were a nice treat. The coffee was good, and the service was very friendly. I definitely recommend this spot and look forward to returning!
Cozy Corner Cafe
5901 E McKellips Rd #102, Mesa

Raymundo Franco
I discovered Cozy Corner Cafe from Google Maps while searching for breakfast spots with good reviews. It's not the closest place to me, but I decided to try it during a breakfast outing with a friend. This place impressed me right away with its incredibly friendly atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we saw workers greeting regulars with hugs, and there was a charming, friendly banter all around. The staff and customers were the nicest people, making everyone feel welcome without being intrusive. The food was fresh and satisfying. I had the pork chops and eggs, which were tasty and enjoyable, while my wife tried the chicken fried steak and liked it as well. Our friend had a custom order, and they were more than happy to accommodate. My only minor issue was the coffee, which was a bit weak for my liking, but I’ll definitely give it another go, as it might just have been an off batch. I wish this cafe was closer to us because I'd love to visit every week. As it stands, we plan to return soon, perhaps when the weather cools down for a breakfast ride. We've had delivery from here via Uber Eats, and it arrived hot, packed with care, and just as ordered, even from 8 miles away. Cozy Corner Cafe has been a family favorite for years, particularly for their excellent hollandaise sauce. It’s a warm, fun, and friendly place to grab a meal. Our server, Cindy, provided exceptional service. I really enjoyed the avocado, cheese, and tomato omelet with sourdough bread. The menu caters to everyone, and I highly recommend taking a drive to check it out. During our brunch visit, we had biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns, a waffle, a chicken fried steak breakfast with a pancake, and an omelet. We also ordered bacon on the side and tried the corned beef hash, which was a bit of a letdown, as it seemed canned despite being advertised as a house specialty. The gravy, although marked as special, tasted somewhat canned too. Nonetheless, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the overall breakfast was satisfying. The service was impressively fast. We were seated immediately, our drinks were offered promptly, and our server was attentive throughout. Watching other diner’s meals arrive made us eager to come back and try their sandwiches and burgers. Cozy Corner Cafe offers a delightful dining experience, and it's a spot I look forward to visiting again.
First Watch

First Watch in Gilbert is a fantastic spot for breakfast! We decided to visit around 2 PM, right before closing, and it was a perfect decision. The place was pleasantly quiet, making it a wonderful atmosphere for a date. The service was outstanding, with our food arriving quickly. The menu has so many delicious options, and I can't recommend it enough for brunch, especially if you go after 2 PM. The Purple Haze and the new watermelon drink were absolutely delicious. I loved the Market Veggie Sandwich, and the side of potatoes was perfectly seasoned and crispy. The blueberry lemon cornbread was a delightful surprise and makes for a great dessert instead of an appetizer. We got to sit outside on the patio, which had the right balance of cozy yet spacious. Our server was exceptionally friendly and gave us great menu recommendations. We even got to be part of a "pay it forward" chain while we were there, which was a really cool experience. I tried the Kale Tonic, which was surprisingly tasty, and the Hawaiian French Toast, which was incredible! The turkey sausage was pretty standard, but everything else was top-notch. The pancake was massive and delicious, and the avocado toast was loaded with fresh avocado. The AM Bowl was tasty, and though the chicken pesto bowl seemed smaller than before, it was still good. My dad really enjoyed the Bacado Omelette too. We couldn't resist the mini donut holes with jam and chocolate dip—they were so good! Overall, First Watch is a place I'd definitely recommend. The food is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and I can't wait to go back!
Chase's Diner

Chase's Diner is a gem for breakfast lovers in Gilbert. The service is exceptional; our server was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The food is crafted with care, and you can taste the love in every bite. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a cool diner vibe and a wall dedicated to famous visitors. It's a fun spot to check out! My family, including my girls who were craving burgers, thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We all opted for burgers and shakes, with portions so generous we had leftovers. The bacon cheeseburgers and chicken tenders were hits, though my husband wasn’t thrilled with his fried pork chop. Chili cheese fries were amazing, and there's a great variety of breakfast choices all day long. During my visit, I ordered the Kitchen Sink Skillet, drawn by the promise of green chili pork, and it didn't disappoint. Jamie, our server, was on point, ensuring our food arrived quickly despite the busy scene. The decor and music create a nostalgic atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. To top it all off, I indulged in a chocolate and peanut butter shake, which was the perfect dessert. The menu is extensive, catering to whatever you're in the mood for. If you're in the area of Alma School & Warner in Chandler, Chase's Diner is definitely worth a visit for a classic diner meal.
Bisbee Breakfast Club

Peter Henandez
I had a fantastic experience at Bisbee Breakfast Club in Gilbert. The food quality is impressive, especially the chicken fried steak I ordered. It came with a house-made biscuit and was smothered in flavorful gravy. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, while the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. I also appreciated the mini bottle of champagne with my guava mimosa—nice touch! Despite the warm morning and being seated at the counter, I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. My friend, who's a big fan of their huevos rancheros, joined me, and we both agreed the place is well-loved, judging by how busy it was. The service was excellent; Amie was attentive, friendly, and great with kids. Our server, Maya, was also exceptional—friendly, professional, and made the experience memorable. The portions were generous and the meals were well-balanced in flavor. Overall, it's an amazing breakfast spot with good, reasonably priced food and outstanding service.
The Nook - A Daytime Eatery
3321 E Queen Creek Rd Suite #101, Gilbert

Frank Rollman
The Nook - A Daytime Eatery is a fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch, offering both delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. On my last visit, I tried the Green Chile Chicken Skillet, which was absolutely wonderful. The server was attentive, and the setting was perfect for a good conversation. I’ve been here a few times now, including once with a friend for a meeting, and each visit has been delightful. Even though I don't live nearby, if I did, I'd definitely be a regular. We visited on a busy Sunday morning as a party of 8, and the service was impressive. The food was consistently delicious; I particularly enjoyed the corned beef hash, while my girlfriend loved the bacon avocado scramble. The hollandaise sauce was exceptional. Our waitress was fantastic, ensuring we had quick service and coffee, which is always a priority for us. Even though the place was bustling, we were seated quickly and had coffee within minutes. For those who lean towards healthier options, the Athena Scramble with egg whites and the Avocado Toast are highly recommended. Portions are just right, and everything tastes amazing. The restroom was clean and well-kept, almost earning a perfect score in my book. Overall, The Nook offers great value. Our bill was around $38 before tip, which felt reasonable given the quality of food and service. This eatery is a must-visit if you enjoy dining out, and I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area.
San Tan Cafe
18911 E San Tan Blvd #149, Queen Creek
(480) 840-6425
Pedro Carp
Came here for breakfast and was really impressed. The place is quaint and inviting, and the staff is attentive and friendly. Our food was hot and delicious. While I would have given a 5-star review, it was freezing inside, which made us eat quickly to escape the cold. I understand they can't control the door with so many customers coming and going, but turning up the heat would be appreciated. I took my two boys for a daddy-boy breakfast, and it was amazing! We spent around $40, which is reasonable considering the quality. For me, a good breakfast is judged by the sausage, bacon, freshness, temperature, and potatoes. This place nailed it all. I often go to more expensive chains that claim to be healthy, but they can't compare to this spot. You can tell many people come here regularly, and the staff genuinely cares about the quality of what they're serving, making it feel different from a chain restaurant. I ordered the Colorado Omelet, which was tasty, along with the fried potatoes. Despite how busy they were, the wait time was reasonable. I hadn't been here in years, and after reading reviews about the new ownership, I decided to give it another try. I'm glad I did. The menu offers a good selection, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it. The portions are large; my husband and I shared a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a side of onion rings, and we still had too much food! Highly recommended! This place is my new favorite breakfast spot in the valley with all the options available.
Liberty Market

Ryan Jimenez
Liberty Market has been on my list for a while, and it totally lived up to the expectations. The interior feels spacious with high ceilings and exposed beams, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Our server was attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I was impressed with the breakfast sandwich—it was fantastic, and I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. The burrata was also a standout; it never disappoints. The kids' menu had good options too, and the pretzel was tasty, though the dip was a bit on the salty side. Overall, it's a super chill spot with a classic diner feel, but with a nice modern update. Service and food both hit the mark for me.

This place is amazing for breakfast, and I can't get enough of their food. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, which makes it a great spot to just relax and enjoy a meal. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, adding to the positive vibe. Our family makes it a point to come here almost every weekend, and my kids insisted I share how much we love it. The food is both delicious and affordable, with various options that cater to everyone's taste. I highly recommend trying the pancakes, home fries, and the red, white, and blue toast. Their avocado toast and Taylor ham and egg sandwich are also favorites. If you have a sweet tooth, the chocolate pumpkin muffins and all their pastries are a must-try. The potato cream cheese soup served in a bread bowl is a standout dish too. The blackberry orange lemonade is refreshing, and the BLT Plus was a satisfying choice—a solid 8.9 out of 10. Andy, the manager, always ensures we're well taken care of, and his service deserves recognition. My go-to items are the chocolate chip scone and carrot cake, and their soups and sandwiches never disappoint. It's a fantastic place with a friendly atmosphere, perfect for unwinding with great food. I end up spending a bit more than I plan because I genuinely like everything they offer.
Over Easy
211 E Warner Rd #103, Gilbert

Jerinson Mcb
Over Easy is a fantastic breakfast spot in Gilbert that I've been enjoying for a decade. It's conveniently located near an intersection and offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is great. Their menu is packed with tasty options, and everything I've tried has been delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it's a treat to see tables with pets enjoying themselves too. The last few visits have been wonderful, with excellent service from both the host and our waitress. I visited on a weekday and didn't have to wait at all, which was a bonus. Although the indoor seating area isn't huge, planning ahead ensures a smooth experience. The Biscuits & Gravy were impressive, and the Breakfast Tacos were stuffed and worth every penny. They also have a great kids' menu—the pancake is huge! A neat feature is their 'As Seen on TV' menu section, showcasing dishes tried by Guy Fieri on Triple D. The food quality is consistently top-notch, especially the eggs benedict. The drinks, like the Bloody Mary and Mimosa, are perfectly balanced for breakfast. Prices are reasonable, there's plenty of parking, and the AC keeps it comfortable. Over Easy has definitely earned its place as one of my favorite breakfast spots, and I'll be back for sure.
Broken Yolk Cafe
2034 E Southern Ave, Mesa
(480) 892-9655
Ural Towns
Broken Yolk Cafe in Gilbert is a solid spot for breakfast and brunch. The diner vibe is classic, and the menu offers creative breakfast options. Personally, I think it outshines IHOP, which says a lot because I do enjoy IHOP! My go-to order is the pick two eggs Benedict with California and chicken and waffles. The portions are generous and seriously delicious. The hot chocolate is another highlight—super sweet and just perfect. Whether you're visiting with friends, family, or as a couple, this place never disappoints. While it’s not as close to home as I'd like, it's a treat to visit whenever I'm in town. The quality of ingredients is evident, and even the simplest dishes are well-prepared. The chorizo skillet with habaneros is a must-try for anyone who loves a spicy kick, though I admit I had to take some of the heat out by the end. The staff is friendly and attentive, making each visit feel welcoming and safe. You can tell the owners take good care of their team, and that reflects in the service. Service here is always terrific, and the chocolate pancakes are rich and soft—definitely a treat worth waiting for. I highly recommend trying out Broken Yolk Cafe when you're in the area. It's a spot I'd gladly return to on my next trip to Arizona.
Black Bear Diner Gilbert
1809 E Baseline Rd, Gilbert
(480) 926-2046
Adrian Lee
I love coming to Black Bear Diner in Gilbert for breakfast, lunch, or dinner because they serve breakfast all day! Sometimes I go for the red potatoes and other times the hashbrowns—both are delicious. The menu is reasonably priced, and you get plenty of food to share or save for the next day. It's a cute and inviting place with lots of stuffed bears, and I even picked one up for my grandbaby. Though the service could have been better, I didn't realize the kids' menu was on the back of the coloring page my granddaughter was using, and we ended up ordering her an adult plate with pineapple pancakes. It would have been great if our waitress had pointed out the kids' menu. I'm not a fan of the paper menu; it was ripped and difficult to handle. However, the food has always been good and satisfying. During my visit on Mother’s Day, the restaurant was understandably hectic. We were told there would be an hour wait, which is much better than the two-hour wait quoted by a competitor across the street, and they were right on time. The family loves the food here; it has that comforting, home-cooked diner feel. Despite the busy day, the service was still great, with friendly and attentive staff. The food has never taken more than 15 minutes to arrive. Overall, it's one of the better eateries in Gilbert. Follow me on IG @igooglereviewyou.
Cafe Morning Buzz

Perry Williams
Cafe Morning Buzz in Gilbert is a delightful spot for a breakfast outing. I've had the chance to eat there twice, and both experiences left quite an impression. The atmosphere of the place is lovely, bright, and open, which made our visits feel welcoming from the get-go. The menu offers a variety of tempting breakfast options, making it almost hard to choose. During one visit, I tried the country fried steak burrito smothered in country gravy, which was delicious. My daughter, celebrating her 21st birthday, was thrilled with the fruity pebbles pancakes—they made the occasion extra special with great drinks. The avocado toast was another standout with its perfect combination of flavors and textures. Even though the portions for some dishes, like the chicken fried steak, could be more generous, the flavors were spot-on, making it a must-try according to my son, who is quite the fan of this dish. Another highlight was the fresh-squeezed orange juice—it was refreshing and definitely the best part of the meal. Service was generally good, with our server being attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. Though there was a momentary lapse in attention, the overall service left a positive mark on our experience. The cafe has a charming vibe, complete with a cute Instagram-worthy wall and a nice bar area with TVs. While it might be a bit on the pricier side for a family breakfast, it's a perfect spot for brunch with friends or special occasions. All in all, Cafe Morning Buzz is a fun place that I’d be happy to visit again.
la Madeleine
2156 E Williams Field Rd Suite 101 Ste 101, Gilbert
(480) 485-8490
Elizabeth Kennedy
I went in for the buy one get one deal and had a wonderful breakfast experience at la Madeleine in Gilbert. The food was pretty good, although my dad’s salmon seemed a bit better than mine. I added salmon to my Caesar salad, but it was cold and lacked seasoning. Despite that, both dishes were tasty. The service was friendly, though the place was packed and a bit too loud. The baguette and butter croissant were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is homey and rustic, like stepping into a French patisserie or boulangerie. The pastry display is the first thing you see when you walk in, offering an array of tempting options. I love that I can grab a tiny dessert for a light treat or indulge when I feel like it. The ordering process is straightforward, with a variety of choices from pasta to salads and crepes. They bring the food to you and handle cleanup, which I appreciate. The staff adds to the charm, dressed appropriately and using French phrases like "bon appetit." The food has always been excellent. This time I tried the ham and swiss crepes, a small lemon tart, corn chowder, and a lemon madeleine—all had great flavor and texture. Sitting by the fireplace felt like a mini vacation in France. Went back for breakfast, which they serve all day, and it was just as amazing. While it would be nice if the dishes matched the menu pictures more closely, I’m still very happy. Great service and good food at reasonable prices. I tried four of their pastries, and they were incredible. I love this place and need to remind myself to visit more often. Highly recommend it!
Bisbee Breakfast Club
3605 S Gilbert Rd #103, Gilbert
(480) 656-8400
Lauren Hirudayam
Stopped by Bisbee Breakfast Club in Gilbert for breakfast and had a great experience. The gluten-free options were impressive—especially the potatoes, brisket, and skillet I ordered. They do offer gluten-free bread and buns, but they're warmed on a shared skillet, so not ideal for those with Celiac disease. The manager mentioned their dedication to making everything from scratch, which is a nice touch. My husband tried the biscuit and thought it was good too, though he's not gluten-sensitive. The atmosphere could improve a bit; the decor is simple and feels like a nod to their Bisbee roots, but it might not stand out in Gilbert’s competitive breakfast scene. Despite this, we love their breakfast selection and often used to have breakfast on Saturdays when we lived in Ahwatukee. Now, living in Chandler, we're thrilled about the new Gilbert location. The menu and flavors have remained consistent, and their biscuits and gravy are always a hit—soft biscuits and amazing sausage gravy. The staff was fun, and the place quickly filled up on a Sunday morning. I recommend trying the Chipotle Bloody Mary—it’s smoky with just the right kick. We've visited the Chandler location, and the new Gilbert spot did not disappoint. The food and service were excellent, and the management checked in on us. Overall, it's fantastic to have a closer location with the same delicious offerings. Great job, Bisbee Breakfast Club!
Einstein Bros. Bagels

Jay Bandemer
I visited Einstein Bros. Bagels for breakfast and had a great experience. The bagels are consistently delicious, and I've been a fan for almost 20 years. They have a wide variety of options that always leave me satisfied and keep me coming back for more. The breakfast sandwiches are tasty, and the combination of ingredients works well together. It's always nice to start the day with something reliable and flavorful. Even though there have been times when service wasn't perfect, there are definitely staff members who stand out as friendly and efficient. I appreciate how they make the effort to provide good service. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it's nice to see familiar faces who care about doing a good job. It's great to have a local spot like this that I can count on for a good breakfast.
