Pink Orchid Bakery and Cafe
145 N Jackson St, Glendale

Elid Vredenburg
Pink Orchid Bakery and Cafe continues to impress me with the quality of their food and coffee! Hands down, they have the best plain croissants I have had in Glendale. Absolutely delicious buttery and flaky goodness. I no longer buy croissants from anywhere else! But you do have to get them early. They are often out by the afternoon. Today, I stopped in to try the breakfast, and it was just amazing. I had the veggie Khachapuri, and it was delicious. The bread was crusty and flavorful, the inside cheesy and filled with veggies, and the egg yolks nice and soft with runny yolks. The breakfast comes with coffee, which, again, was wonderful. Smooth and so good, I enjoyed drinking it black. Usually house coffee is garbage, but not at Pink Orchid. I feel they really take pride in their offerings, and it shows. This is one of those places where I’m excited to pop in and order something new because I know I won’t be disappointed. Five stars! I ride my bike every week from Sherman Oaks, around Rose Bowl and back to Sherman Oaks. This bakery is my only stop for a very tasty coffee with a cheese pastry on the side. Nice people, clean place, and highly recommended by me. Thank you, Pink Orchid. Some of the best French, Middle Eastern, Armenian, Persian, and Russian patisserie and snacks. Try all cream patisserie, pirashki, and ponchik. Great coffee too.
Porto's Bakery and Cafe

I was out looking for a Starbucks when I stumbled upon Porto's Bakery and Cafe in Glendale. I'm so glad I did! Right when you walk in, you're hit with the incredible smell of fresh bakery items, and the atmosphere just wraps you up. The staff is welcoming, and I had a wonderful experience with Deniss R., who helped me. She was super friendly and took the time to tell me about the place since it was my first visit. Her customer service was exceptional, and she truly deserves some recognition. The food is Cuban-inspired, and everything is freshly made. Though I would skip the empanadas next time for something more flavorful, the overall experience was fantastic. The chicken was juicy, the beans had great flavor, and the prices were very affordable for such quality food. I tried several breads, with the coconut and almond ones being my favorites. The taro latte I ordered was delicious, too. Despite lines wrapping around the cafe, the staff worked efficiently to get everyone served promptly. Porto's has such a wide selection of amazing treats, and it will definitely be on my list for future visits to the area. As a longtime fan, I can personally vouch for their passion in what they do, and every pastry, cake, bread, and hot dish I've tried has been top-notch. If you're okay with a little wait for some amazing food in a warm, inviting atmosphere, Porto's is the place to go. Don't forget to grab a few potato balls and a Cuban sandwich—they're my personal favorites! 😉
Jeremy's Coffee Shop
3009 Honolulu Ave, Glendale

James Christel
I've driven by Jeremy's Coffee Shop so many times and finally decided to stop in for breakfast. I ordered to-go because of my schedule, but as soon as I stepped inside, I wished I could stay. I got the Egg and Bacon breakfast and an order of pancakes. Yummy! The waitress was super sweet, and the staff was really nice. They even got me my coffee while I waited. I will definitely be back soon! The fresh strawberries were a pleasant surprise for a place like this, and the portions were huge. The breakfast burrito was good, really big, and certainly could be shared. It was a bit wet, but the flavors were spot on, and you really get your money’s worth here. It might be a little pricey, but not for the big meals you get. The Mexican sauce on the burrito was fantastic, and the coffee was perfect for my morning rush. Jeremy's has nailed the buttery goodness needed for breakfast or brunch. The food is flavorful, maybe a tad salty, but it definitely hits the spot. There's an outdoor patio that's dog-friendly, and the indoor decor gives off a fun, hometown vibe. The service is pretty good, and even though it's always busy, the wait is worth it. It’s like a retro diner experience, and I wish there were more places like this in the neighborhood. Can’t beat breakfast food at good prices, and I always leave happy and full.
Gardens Coffee & Tea

We came to Gardens Coffee & Tea for breakfast, drawn by the promise of good coffee, and we were not disappointed. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, making the experience even better. The food was delicious—I ordered the Egg Gondola with spinach and it was so creamy and flavorful. The blue/green matcha hot tea was a soothing addition to my meal. Service was outstanding, with staff checking in regularly, making me feel comfortable and welcomed. I appreciated being able to do my callback comfortably right before heading to set. It's definitely a spot I want to return to every time I'm in LA for work. The money spent here feels well worth it, with friendly service and quality offerings. Everything on their menu seems to be a hit. I’m obsessed with their soups, chicken kebab wraps, and amazing lemonades. Their crepes are a must-try too. It's a unique place in Glendale, offering great food at affordable prices. I'm thrilled it opened up in the neighborhood. Archie, one of the staff members, is the best and makes the visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a cute breakfast spot with a nice menu and amazing food, this café is a big recommendation. Their pancakes and croissants are delightful, and the coffee is something to look forward to. Gardens Coffee & Tea is truly a paradise for coffee and tea lovers. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I'll be back again.
Kafn Coffee

Kafn Coffee is truly a hidden gem in Glendale. It's the cozy spot I've been searching for over the years. The location is perfect, nestled in a calm neighborhood with a park nearby, and the ambiance inside is extraordinary. The baristas are the nicest, recognizing their customers and creating an inviting atmosphere. The coffee is high quality, and I was thrilled to learn their beans come from Peru. One of my favorites is the Vanilla Cappuccino, and the cheese bread is a must-try. This cafe has become my go-to spot, and I even drive 45 minutes to enjoy their top-notch Salted Caramel Latte. The vibe is perfect, and the local area is safe and charming, adding to the appeal of this place. The seasonal drinks and tea-based lattes are also great options, and I appreciate the pour-over choices. They often showcase art pieces from local artists, which adds a unique touch. While I wish they still offered a free coffee with bean purchases, the discounted drink is still a nice perk. The service was exceptional in the past, and although there have been minor hiccups like slower service or having to remind staff about discounts, it's still generally a positive experience. The drip coffee can be a bit off during peak hours, but outside of those times, it's quite good. Overall, Kafn Coffee remains my favorite spot for a perfect start to the day.
Café Montrose

Rajubhai Subba
Café Montrose in Glendale was a delightful breakfast spot. The café had a quaint vibe that made me feel comfortable right from the start. I appreciated that my latte was served in a cup for here, adding to the warm and familiar atmosphere. The latte itself was well-crafted, with a nice foam, especially considering it was almond milk. Even though I didn't stay long enough to eat, everything on the menu looked tasty and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my short visit feel special. It was a bit of a bummer that there was no wifi, especially since the space seemed perfect to get some work done. However, this wasn't a major issue in the grand scheme of things. I visited with my family, and we all felt right at home, thanks to the servers' genuine smiles and warmth. They made the experience even more memorable. It's a small family-owned business that truly feels like a hidden gem in Glendale. I left wishing for their continued success, hoping to return on my next trip through the area. This café is a great spot for breakfast with a good vibe, even if the service was a tad slow for some tables. Overall, a lovely experience worth revisiting.
Foxy's Restaurant
206 W Colorado St, Glendale
(818) 246-0244
Karlene Owens
My wife took me to Foxy's Restaurant in Glendale for my birthday breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. I've heard a lot about this place, and I was excited to finally try it out. We parked at the Glendale Galleria and walked over, which was convenient given the limited parking space at the restaurant itself. When we arrived, it was busy, and we opted for an indoor table. We were seated after a short wait, and the staff was friendly and polite. The menu looked a bit worn, but there was a QR code to access a digital version with prices, which was helpful. I noticed toasters on every table, a quirky touch that added to the diner experience. For breakfast, my wife ordered the chicken chilaquiles based on recommendations from both the runner and our waiter. I chose the club sandwich with a side of fruit. The food took a little time to arrive, probably due to the bustling weekend crowd, but it was worth the wait. My club sandwich was tasty, especially with a side of ranch, and my wife enjoyed her sizable portion of chicken chilaquiles. She also loved her iced mocha. The ambiance of Foxy's is unique, with its A-frame structure and chandeliers providing a cozy atmosphere. The only minor downside was the small size of the men's bathroom, but it didn't detract from our overall positive experience. This diner offers a broad menu with both classic and Southwestern dishes. It's a great spot for casual dining at any time of day. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious food and a memorable dining experience in Glendale. We'll definitely be back!
Wild Oak Cafe

Visiting Wild Oak Cafe in March 2024 was a delightful experience. We went for the viral rainbow latte, and it was truly enjoyable. The espresso and steamed milk were spot on. I tried one of their burgers, which was delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and good seasoning. The service was commendable, with the staff being friendly and prompt with our orders. The cafe boasts a wonderful patio on a quieter street, making it a lovely spot to visit, especially with bike racks available for those who prefer to cycle. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, they're quite typical for the area. I was impressed with the poached egg avocado toast, which was excellent. While the steak sandwich was a bit chewy and small, the overall experience was still positive. The coffee was good, and the chef and staff were incredibly friendly, courteous, and professional. The atmosphere is great for a meet-up, offering a quick escape from the city's hustle and bustle, nestled in the hills of Glendale. However, there's room for improvement in terms of seating, as the chairs are dated and uncomfortable. This place has so much potential, and upgrading the seating would make a notable difference. Despite minor mishaps with the steak and eggs dish and the breakfast burrito order, the service remained good throughout. Parking is ample on the surrounding streets, but caution is advised due to the absence of sidewalks. Overall, Wild Oak Cafe is a charming spot with its friendly atmosphere and prime location.
Love You Latte
275 W Lexington Dr, Glendale
(747) 272-5601
Brent Wikson
Love You Latte has quickly become my favorite cafe for breakfast in Glendale. The food is fantastic with big portions that are always fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and always goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Kostas, in particular, stands out with his upbeat and welcoming vibe. This was our first visit, and we were blown away by the exceptional customer service from the moment we walked in. The lady who served our food was sweet and kind, and everything was prepared fresh and tasted amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. The cafe itself is really cute, both inside and out, with a lovely aesthetic. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the quality of the food and service makes it worth the visit. There are some good tables for getting work done, though it might not be the most comfortable spot for an extended stay. Just a note on parking – it's mainly street parking. Despite being a small cafe, it attracts a good number of visitors, creating a nice atmosphere. We were short on time and only grabbed drinks, but we're definitely coming back to try the food. Plus, they have a lottery where you can win a free drink or a discount, which adds a fun touch. I wholeheartedly recommend sharing this gem with anyone interested in visiting.
Another Broken Egg Cafe

Omg, this place is incredible! As someone who grew up in the South, I can honestly say these grits, biscuits, and gravy could rival any Georgia diner. I absolutely love the atmosphere, both inside and on the patio. Even though we faced a 30-minute wait, we opted for the communal table and were served immediately, which was a pleasant surprise. Our waiter was polite and attentive throughout our meal. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was a standout, featuring thick-sliced, house-baked cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese icing, a rum butter sauce drizzle, fresh seasonal berries, and whipped cream. It was divine! I also tried the Country Power Bowl, which included scrambled eggs with country ham, onions, and tomatoes over cheddar jack cheese grits, topped with country sausage gravy. It came with baked bacon and an oversized biscuit, and it was filling and delicious. Their Eggs Benedict and Crab Cakes are some of my favorites; the crab cakes are made fresh, which makes all the difference. The Banana Foster Pancakes are to die for, and the coffee is strong and satisfying. The freshly squeezed orange juice is another plus. Overall, the food was served quickly, and the quality was excellent. The welcoming atmosphere added to the experience, even though parking was a bit of a challenge. While the prices are higher than I'd like, possibly due to inflation, the delicious food and great service make this a worthwhile spot for breakfast or brunch. A solid 4 out of 5 stars for sure!
Berolina Bakery & Pastry Shop
3421 Ocean View Blvd, Glendale
(818) 249-6506
Colochita Bamugo
I ordered a 10” princess cake in pink for a baby shower and it was absolutely stunning and delicious. Everyone at the event raved about it! Impressively, we managed to serve 21 guests and still had leftovers, which speaks volumes about the cake's size and quality. The bakery offers a nice spot to enjoy an afternoon drink and dessert, especially if you're sitting in their pleasant outdoor area. While the pastries didn't blow me away, they were pretty good and the price was reasonable. Most of the staff seemed friendly enough, and despite a slightly flat interaction with one of them, it was understandable that people can have off days. Parking is on the street, which adds convenience to the experience. Overall, it's a good place to grab a cake or a casual treat.
Muffin Can Stop Us

Muffin Can Stop Us in Glendale is a little hidden gem, tucked next to a cleaners, that's perfect for breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is inviting, and I love that it's a cozy spot where you can grab a quick bite or hang out for a while. The pastrami sandwich was delicious, and though the sausage Redemption had a bit too much mayo for my taste, the flavors were still on point. The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the location, and the hot latte was just right. I prefer coming here over the Coffee Bean across the street; their coffee is better and more affordable. The menu is extensive, with a variety of breakfast sandwiches and drinks, including plenty of iced coffee options. The blueberry muffins are absolutely fantastic. We tried the Americano breakfast sandwich as well, which was a hit! It's a great spot to relax outside, and they're even working on creating more indoor seating. The muffin sandwich with soft egg, crispy bacon, and real cheddar, was spot-on. The Ranch Hashbrown surprised me with its tastiness, and the Iced Horchata Coffee was a perfect ten. Service was friendly and efficient, and the seating was comfortable. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu items.
Los Feliz Cafe

I’m not usually a breakfast person, but I was genuinely impressed by my experience at Los Feliz Café in Glendale. I tried the salmon on sourdough, and the flavors were a delightful combination. They also have some nice vegan options. My favorite was a sandwich, although I can’t remember the name, but it was tasty. The food overall was delicious, and the service was surprisingly fast, especially considering it was a Sunday during Labor Day weekend. It wasn’t too busy, and we easily found seating outside, where there were adorable dogs on the patio. The only downside was that the place felt a bit simple for a golf club, and the prices were higher than I expected for such a setting. I ordered the French toast, and my boyfriend got the waffles. We shared eggs, bacon, and crispy hash browns, and everything was fantastic. The waffle was perfectly crispy and tender on the inside, and the French toast was nice and soft. Definitely order the hash browns crispy; you won’t regret it. While the place is cozy and the food good, the servers seemed a bit stretched. Things felt rushed, and we had to ask for some items a couple of times and flag down our bill after our table had been cleared for a while. Despite this, I’d definitely return for the vibe and the excellent food.
85°C Bakery Cafe - Glendale

Miguel Ángel Vazqes
A sweet place to grab a cup of coffee or snack! It’s one of my favorites for drinks, sandwiches, or, far too occasionally, a pastry! Try the Panettone! A charming motif, modern atmosphere with an intriguing menu - check ’em out! Sort of sad these guys aren't on Grubhub anymore, so I had to download Doordash to make my online order. BUT this place is much better than some of the other locations I’ve been to. Excellent bread all the time, sometimes unavailable with popular items. Always a delight to come here! A different variety of pastries every time you visit, delicious sea salt caramel coffee and other drinks, just all around a good time for taste buds. I wish they went back to just picking up the bun with tongs because the individually wrapped pastries generate a LOT of plastic waste.
Toasted Bun Restaurant

Toasted Bun Restaurant in Glendale is a fantastic local diner that has quickly become one of my favorite spots for breakfast. It's a classic retro-style diner that offers a nostalgic vibe, perfect for any meal of the day. Our first breakfast visit on a Saturday morning was an excellent experience. The diner has a medium-sized free parking lot, which made it convenient for us to stop by without worrying about street parking. Our server was incredibly polite, and we were impressed by the speed of service. Our food arrived in under 10 minutes, which was perfect for our hungry group. Inside, the diner is spacious, with several rows of comfy booth seating. The menu is quite extensive, making it tough to decide what to order. I started with a strong and tasty coffee that I highly recommend. For my meal, I chose the Chilaquiles Verdes with Carne Asada, which was absolutely delicious. The Carne Asada was well-seasoned and the portion was generous. We also had Eggs and Pancakes, both of which were cooked to perfection. Overall, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a solid breakfast option in Glendale, I’d definitely suggest checking out this Toasted Bun location.
Gold Star Hamburger

Bringing the family to Gold Star Hamburger for breakfast in Glendale is always a treat. We snapped some pictures before diving into our meal, and as always, the freshly made burgers were on point—hot off the grill and made to order. The cooks here clearly take pride in their work, as the food is always nicely presented, wrapped, and spotless. The fries are fantastic too! You can tell they change the oil often, as they're always clean, golden, crispy, and picture-perfect. Plus, the restaurant itself is consistently spotless, which makes every visit pleasant. I've been coming here for years not just because of the consistent quality, but also because it's locally owned. The Armenian community in Glendale always makes me feel at home, and the staff is kind and welcoming. During my last visit, I had a sausage breakfast burrito. It was basic but tasty, with crispy hash browns inside. It could have used a bit more cheese, but it was still enjoyable. Parking is easy with a dedicated lot, and there's plenty of seating inside. The bathrooms are located outside the restaurant. Overall, well done to everyone at Gold Star Hamburger!
IHOP

I had a wonderful breakfast experience at IHOP in Glendale. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding. Our server, MD, was exceptionally pleasant and kind, making our birthday breakfast even more enjoyable. The service was quick and courteous, and the food met the expectations you'd have from a well-known breakfast spot. Though the place is a bit small and can feel cramped when full, it's definitely worth returning for the great food, excellent customer service, and good value. I also want to give a special shoutout to Mario and Brittany, who completely changed my view. I had issues with previous conversations, but they made it right. Mario, in particular, went above and beyond, especially considering the effort he put into helping me pre-order and pre-pay for a large breakfast combo for a local homeless shelter. His team showed up early on Labor Day, and my order was ready in an impressively short time. I'm grateful for his dedication and want to give him the recognition he deserves. Thanks to Mario, I'm looking forward to supporting the shelter again soon with more delicious IHOP meals.
Coffee Commissary
1419 W Kenneth Rd, Glendale
(323) 782-1465
Sonya Setayesh
Coffee Commissary in Glendale is a super trendy spot with a simple menu and great vibes. With plenty of seating and easy street parking, it's a convenient choice for breakfast. I had a quad shot with steamed oat milk, and the barista thoughtfully provided the milk on the side. My cappuccino was excellent, and the chocolate chip cookie was fantastic—I'd honestly come back just for that cookie! The ambiance was lovely, with mostly good vibes. The Angeleno burrito was decent, but I wish the habanero sauce was spread more evenly throughout. I found the cheese crust on the outside too salty and ended up peeling it off. Despite this, I'm excited to try other items on the menu. This coffee shop is a favorite of mine. The baristas are consistently nice, the food and drinks are delicious, and they usually have good music playing. Plus, they offer breakfast all day! The soft scramble might be my favorite breakfast in LA—the eggs are fluffy and melt in your mouth, and the potatoes are perfectly fried. Adding avocado was a perfect touch. Their chai is also a standout—not too sweet or spicy, just smooth. They have a seasonal "white winter chai" that I make a point to get every December. The only downside is that it's often busy due to its popularity, but the staff moves quickly behind the counter. The charming atmosphere, extensive pastry selection, and high-quality coffee beans make for a rich and satisfying experience. With fast Wi-Fi, ample seating, and outstanding customer service, this coffee shop is a comfortable spot to relax or catch up on work. There are diverse food options to satisfy any craving, whether it's a quick snack or a hearty meal. Overall, it's a fantastic place that combines great taste, comfort, and variety, perfect for any coffee enthusiast or someone looking for a cozy place to unwind.
