Creamy Spoon French Bistro

Nestled on the ground floor of the venerable old Hotel Glendale, there’s a spot that makes every weekend feel like a little holiday - Creamy Spoon French Bistro. It’s become our go-to for a brunch that never disappoints, bringing a slice of Parisienne flair right to our doorstep in Glendale. The standout must-try? The French Omelette. Imagine the fluffiest eggs enveloping a heart of creamy, melt-in-your-mouth Boursin cheese. It's an ode to simplicity and sheer culinary finesse, making it our favorite without a doubt. This place has an atmosphere that's both inviting and vibrant, steering clear of any pretense. It’s incredible! From the food, the ambiance, to the tunes floating through the air - everything’s spot-on. And let’s talk about the portions – generous doesn’t even begin to cover it. Plus, navigating the coin-operated parking is a breeze; they’ll swap you $2 in quarters for the meter and simply add it to your bill. A neat little solution that eases you into the brunch spirit without skipping a beat. Sitting there, fork in hand, it’s easy to feel whisked away to those quaint Parisian streets, surrounded by the buzz and charm that only a French bistro can muster. It’s an experience that beckons again and again, making it a must on any food lover’s list. My choice was the French Toast, a masterpiece of flavor balance, while my friend opted for the Eggs Benedict and was equally enthralled. Above all, the people make the place. Angelica, our waitress, was a gem – kind, attentive, and even helped us out with the parking. It’s this level of care and attention to detail, coupled with delectable cuisine and a sparkling clean setting, that cements Creamy Spoon French Bistro not just as a restaurant, but as a cherished weekend tradition. A definite must-visit for anyone looking to savor a piece of France without boarding a plane.

Jeremy's Coffee Shop

My first encounter with Jeremy's Coffee Shop for brunch in the Glendale area was back in 2014, accompanied by my stepfather. Since then, it's become a recurring destination whenever my travels bring me back around, despite my stepdad no longer being by my side. Something about Jeremy’s just pulls me back time and time again. Upon stepping into Jeremy’s, what catches your attention first is the funky interior, radiating a warm, neighborly vibe that’s pretty rare in today’s fast-paced world. It’s evidently a popular spot among locals, and it’s not hard to see why. The service is just like the setting: friendly and inviting, making it feel like you’re more than just a customer. The menu isn’t short of impressive either. During my most recent visit, the lineup included pancakes, Huevos Rancheros, and an Avocado Omelet. While the food may not win any gourmet awards, it’s satisfying and hits the spot, especially when you're not in the mood for cooking yourself. And let’s talk about their portions – they are generous, to say the least. The burrito I had was not only delicious, with great Mexican sauce, but it was also massive; easily shareable if you're not coming in with a huge appetite. Although it's a little on the pricey side, you definitely get your money's worth with these hearty meals. Despite the slightly confusing internet listing that shows a Glendale, CA address, finding Jeremy's nestled in La Crescenta, CA, adds to its charm. It feels like discovering a hidden gem in an upscale neighborhood. Their coffee deserves a special mention too. On the go, it's perfect for kickstarting your day or giving you that mid-morning boost. It’s places like Jeremy’s that make you appreciate the simple yet profound joy of a good cup of coffee. Even though it’s always bustling with activity, the wait is always worth it. There's something to be said about the feeling of stepping into a retro diner, where the experience is just as important as the food. And Jeremy's nails this, offering a slice of nostalgia paired with tasty breakfast food at good prices. In a world where neighborhood diners are becoming a rarity, Jeremy's Coffee Shop stands out as a beacon of communal warmth and culinary reliability. Every visit leaves me happy, full, and looking forward to the next. It’s a reminder of simpler times and the joy of finding a place that feels familiar, even when you’re far from home.

Honestly, the best breakfast I've had in a long time! The french toast was amazing, and the country potatoes were just as good. Highly recommend! We decided to sit outside to enjoy our meal on Victory. A very friendly and kind waitress promptly came out, provided us with water, and got us settled comfortably. We had a vegan at the table who was satisfied with her order, a vegetarian who was also very happy, and a meat-eater. They ordered vegan and vegetarian scrambles, while I went for the eggs Benedict. It was light, fluffy, creamy, and delicious. I also got a cappuccino, they got black coffee, and we were all very satisfied with both the quantity and the quality of the food we ordered. The food arrived fairly quickly, was hot, delicious, and made me decide to bring my sister back here for breakfast or lunch. It’s nice to have family-style but very high-quality food. I will definitely be returning. The only reason for giving four stars is my personal preference for decor. But do try it, I’m sure you're going to love it. It's local and there's plenty of parking. My wife and I were passing through Burbank/Glendale and looking for a little café to grab some breakfast. This happened to be close by, and we parked in the neighborhood, which is actually quite lovely. We were delighted to find a perfect little café run by very nice people, offering high-quality food and a nice atmosphere. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out. I walk my dog past this establishment almost every day. I've always wanted to stop and order but hadn't had the opportunity until today. I'm grateful I did. The coffee is a showstopper without the need for cream and sugar! I ordered a croissant sandwich which was flaky, buttery, and tasted like home. I will savor the flavors and look forward to the next time I can enjoy the deliciousness that is V Boulevard Cafe.

Absolutely adore this intimate, small family-owned gem in the Glendale area. Visiting with my family, we immediately felt at home, greeted by servers with the warmest and sweetest smiles. It was such a humbling and welcoming brunch experience, leaving me with a heartfelt wish for this business to flourish for many years to come. It's indeed a rare find, a true gem in Glendale. The food, coupled with the service, was exceptional. My choice of the grilled salmon salad couldn’t have been better. The salmon was perfectly crispy on the exterior, while maintaining a beautifully cooked interior, and the salad greens were fresh, not overwhelmed by dressing. It was a genuinely pleasant dining experience, compelling enough to ensure a return visit. The Swedish pancakes are another highlight, tasting authentically as they do in Sweden, which truly amazed me. The atmosphere here is very relaxed, making everyone come off as incredibly nice and welcoming. Breakfast turned out to be incredibly delightful, especially with a must-try like the lentil soup, and the service? Outstanding. The staff is extremely friendly, adding to the overall exceptional experience. Definitely a place worth checking out for a remarkable breakfast or brunch experience.

This restaurant, nestled in the Chevy Chase area of Glendale, feels like a hidden gem. It may be the only dining spot in the neighborhood, but it stands out for all the right reasons. The food is genuinely good, and the service matches up, making the overall experience really pleasant. There's something uniquely charming about this place. Dining here gives off vibes of a beachside meal, which is refreshing and different from what you'd usually find in the area. It’s a definite recommendation from me. Having been here twice, it’s clear that consistency is key for them. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and it's a lovely spot to enjoy with loved ones. The service is efficient, and the prices are reasonable, which makes it all the more appealing. The cafe itself boasts a down-to-earth atmosphere, with amazing food to boot. The outdoor patio seating is perfect for enjoying a meal under the sun, ideal for both breakfast and lunch. Even when you order at the counter, service remains swift, but it’s the kind of place you don’t want to rush. It’s perfect for lingering over good food and engaging conversations with friends. The lavender latte is a standout for me – absolutely delicious. We also had the breakfast plate, and while there’s a little room for improvement, it’s quite satisfactory considering the price. The seating area is cozy and pet-friendly, which is a big plus if you like dining with your furry companion by your side. Another perk is its location, far removed from the bustle of traffic, allowing for a serene dining experience. Overall, this cafe is a fantastic choice. Loved it and highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a great meal in a relaxing setting.

We loved the restaurant from the moment we walked in the door! The host greeted us warmly and took our drink orders, which we received in no time. Our server, Jennifer, was absolutely amazing! Her attention to detail and care in explaining the menu options, coupled with her quick response time, truly made our brunch experience exceptional. We were particularly impressed by the plentiful Tex-Mex breakfast options and the convenience of using the toaster right at our table. This place has quickly become our go-to restaurant whenever we're in town. Whether it's enjoying delicious food or catching up, Foxy’s provides a perfect setting with its excellent service where they don’t rush you. On days when the weather permits, their patio is a delightful spot for a meal. And when it’s cooler, the indoor seating offers a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. A special shout-out is deserved for Jaime, Memo, and the incredible chefs who prepared our scrumptious breakfasts. Our experience can only be described as enthusiastic, akin to the Foxy Breakfast Trio. We were blown away by the fast service, the quality of food, and the presentation. It’s such a beautiful spot, with the added bonus of free parking! Our server, ADRIAN, and Alfredo were simply the best. Agustin made sure our coffee was always hot and ready, showcasing an exceptional level of attentiveness. This place really is a tightly run ship. Despite it being a bustling Sunday morning, my coffee cup was never empty, the food arrived quickly, the staff were all friendly, and we didn’t have to wait for a table. We both opted for Mexican dishes, which were delicious, if a tad mild for our tastes. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great brunch spot with fast and friendly service. So happy we decided to stop by!

Visited XO Café for brunch in Glendale and I must say, it's a very cozy spot with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. The service here is great, and despite the prices being a bit steep due to inflation, I found the quality of the offerings well worth the money. Their coffee is arguably the best in the state, offering a rich and robust flavor that truly stands out. Along with the coffee, the banana milk is a delicious treat, though I was a bit taken aback by the price. The cleanliness of the café and its facilities, including the bathroom, didn't go unnoticed. However, my arrival seemed to go unacknowledged. Carrying my laundry bag and a grocery bag since I was doing laundry in the same shopping center possibly made me appear out of place, as I didn't receive the warm greeting other customers did. In fact, I was only offered the option of takeout, while others behind me were greeted and given menus for dine-in. Despite the initial hiccup, the experience improved thanks to the server's excellent service. Though the food was a mixed bag. I opted for a healthy omelet which sadly didn't meet expectations - the chicken felt undercooked and the overall taste was too salty. On a positive note, the oatmeal was quite satisfying. On the brighter side, the pregnant eggs were simple, yet hit the mark on being both delicious and healthy. The pancakes were another highlight, perfectly cooked, and debunking any rumors of them being burnt. It’s clear the kitchen pays attention to feedback and constantly improves. In conclusion, XO Café offers a delightful brunch experience with its cozy environment, excellent service, and mostly delicious offerings. It’s a reminder not to judge a book by its cover; beneath the initial misjudgment lies a gem of a place that I’d happily recommend.

Central Grille

My experience at Central Grille in Glendale for brunch was truly enjoyable. From the moment we stepped in, the beautiful interior decorations set a wonderful atmosphere for our meal. Accompanied by my grandsons, we indulged in both breakfast and lunch items, and each dish served was delightful, showcasing a wide selection of traditional American fare. Though the service was a tad slow, it was still acceptable, and it didn't detract from our overall wonderful experience. On another visit, my husband and I decided to have a late lunch, choosing to sample the ahi tuna salad, ceviche and chips, calamari, and garlic bread. All the dishes were wonderfully prepared, but what made our meal even more pleasant was the attentive and friendly service provided by our server, Melanie. Her attentiveness and pleasant demeanor really stood out, enhancing our dining experience. Even though there was a minor hiccup with the cooking of the eggs — both times they were a bit too runny for my liking — it was a small issue in the grand scheme of things. I’ve learned to specify how I like my eggs cooked for next time. Despite this, my encounter with the staff, particularly our waitress Jasmine during one of the visits, was excellent. Her service was a highlight, showcasing the establishment's commitment to providing good customer service. While there were moments that could have been improved, such as the mishap with the pizza crust that didn't live up to expectations and the unfortunate use of canned whipped cream, these were overshadowed by the overall quality of the food and service. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and it's a place I plan to visit again. The charm of Central Grille and its staff's dedication to ensuring a pleasant dining experience is a testament to its appeal as a brunch spot in Glendale.

Great food and service at Toasted Bun Restaurant for brunch in Glendale! Ordered the chilaquiles, and they were cooked to perfection. The food arrived quickly, and the coffee was delicious. Will definitely be back when in the area. The outdoor setting was great. Tried The Toasted Bun Burger and french toast with fruit - both were absolutely delicious. The burger was flavorful, and the egg on top had just the right consistency. It was a lot of food, but totally worth the price. The French toast was splendid, too. The fruit was fresh, and the texture of the French toast with that first bite was just amazing, striking the perfect balance of flavors. The presentation was impressive as well. Really looking forward to dining here again. Love this place; it feels like it's family-owned and run. It's cute, and the staff is always friendly. The food never disappoints. However, there's a bit of a wait on weekends due to being short-staffed. It takes a while to order, receive drinks, and get coffee refills. Despite this, the love for this place remains strong; just wish they had more staff on weekends. This is a truly great brunch spot! On the first morning in town, tried it out and ended up going back every single morning to work through the menu. There was so much to try! Highly recommend the carnitas and eggs - though everything tasted excellent. The coffee was quite good, and it's a bottomless cup, which is a nice touch. Peter was the server every morning and really went above and beyond. The patio is a great place to eat, offering a covered and spacious outdoor area that's wheelchair accessible. Definitely a high recommendation for anyone looking for a quality brunch experience!

Muffin Can Stop Us

I'm in Glendale quite often, and there's this spot I've been meaning to try for a while now - Muffin Can Stop Us. Seeing it bustling every time I drove past, my curiosity was piqued, especially for their brunch offerings. So, one Sunday morning around 7:30 am, I decided it was time to treat the family to a brunch out. Anticipating a hefty meal, it wasn't a shock when the bill came to about $60+ tip for five sandwiches and four hash browns. My expectations were sky-high, and I was eager to dive into the Redemption Sausage - Chicken Sausage, Cheddar, Egg, Aioli, and the Classic Americano - Crispy Bacon, cheddar, egg, and Aioli. Both were good, though they didn't quite hit the 'amazing' mark for me. Yet, the disappointment really came with the hash browns. Advertised as seasoned with ranch dressing, they sadly tasted a bit stale and lacked that promised seasoning kick. They reminded me of those bulk pack hash browns that you might fry up at home, though these appeared to be air-fried - likely a nod towards healthier prep but at the cost of losing that crispy texture. Maybe tucking them into a sandwich could give them a bit more life. Despite the hash brown hiccup, I'm keen on giving this place another shot. The outdoor seating is ideal, especially as it's dog-friendly, a big plus for pet owners like myself. What really stands out is the vibe of the cafe - a charming little spot with an inviting outdoor area. Their sandwiches and drinks are impressive, showing off fresh ingredients and a homemade touch. The service is another high point, being both swift and friendly, perfect for when you're on the go or seeking a quick yet satisfying meal. Moreover, the entire staff brought positivity to the experience, making me eager to dive deeper into their menu - everything looks so tempting, drinks included. And on the note of affordability, the prices are quite reasonable, which is always appreciated. It's a great choice for a flavorful, well-crafted breakfast that hits just right without being overly salty or sweet and always comes out fresh. Based on first impressions, they’re just shy of a full 5-star rating from me, primarily because it was only my initial visit. But there’s a lot to love here, from the fast and friendly service to the quality of the food and the cozy, clean ambiance. It's a definite recommendation from me for anyone looking to try something fresh and flavorful in Glendale.

The visit to Eden On Brand for brunch was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Nicole at the front desk made us feel like VIPs, ensuring our experience started off on the right foot. The service was top-notch, adding to the overall excellent dining experience. Our meal was a parade of deliciousness, starting with the drinks. My lychee martini hit all the right notes, while my boyfriend's whiskey sour was perfectly balanced. The burger and watermelon salad stood out as my personal favorites; however, the fresh, perfectly shucked oysters and the phenomenal corn/elotes side dish were close contenders. My son remarked that even the water tasted exceptionally good, likening it to something divine. Venturing beyond our usual choices, we tried the steak. It was a decision well made as the steak was impeccable, easily the best we've ever tasted. It’s not just the food that makes Eden On Brand stand out; the atmosphere is equally amazing. Nicole gave us a tour, elevating our experience further. The promise of a sushi bar being incorporated soon is an exciting addition I look forward to. The whipped creams they paired with were so delicious that, for the first time, I found myself taking pancakes home because I just couldn't get enough. The eggs served were perfectly cooked, and the coffee was rich in flavor, making for a wonderful start to the day. Brunch with my grandson turned into a memorable experience at this place. Brunch at IHOP in Glendale was a delightful experience. The food was excellent, and the service and atmosphere were just what you'd expect from a comforting breakfast spot. This location was chosen based on a previous recommendation, despite having heard about a less than pleasant encounter involving a request for pre-payment at a different IHOP. That aside, my expectations were met and exceeded here. The steak omelette was a standout dish, packed with flavors and ingredients that made it a hearty and satisfying meal, especially since I usually have breakfast as my main meal of the day. The pancakes, a classic at IHOP, did not disappoint either; they were prepared to perfection. The overall service was great, although there was a bit of a hiccup initially as I was seated but then momentarily forgotten. However, once I caught the attention of the staff, my order was taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly. I appreciated the generous portions and found the pricing to be reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. The location is also convenient, especially if you're coming off the 134 freeway, and there's plenty of parking available on-site. The only downside to my visit was a minor service delay at the beginning, but it wasn't enough to overshadow the positive aspects. I'd definitely recommend this IHOP for anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable brunch spot. Just a little heads up though, try to avoid Tuesday mornings, as I prefer a quieter setting! Enjoy your meal and, most importantly, enjoy the pancakes!

Stopped by Eggslut in Glendale for brunch and, let me tell you, this place definitely lives up to the hype. It’s such a great option for a quick, yet absolutely delicious breakfast. Now, it might not be the healthiest choice out there, but the flavors are unmatched. The egg in the jar caught my eye, and it didn’t disappoint, although I do hope they figure out a more sustainable way to deal with the jars. Lucky for me, there was no wait when I arrived around 11 AM on a Wednesday, which was a pleasant surprise. I opted for the sausage, egg, cheese, bacon, avocado breakfast sandwich, and wow, was it a taste explosion. It was a bit on the pricey side considering it was gone in 15 minutes, but every bite was worth it. The bacon and avocado felt a tad added on rather than integrated into the sandwich, coming across a little cold, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. Now, let's talk about their truffle hash browns - truly the bomb dot com. They’ve earned their popularity for a reason; they're absolutely delicious, pairing perfectly with the egg and sauce. It's clear why they're a staple on the menu. All in all, had a fantastic experience at this Eggslut location. It’s quickly cemented itself as one of my go-to spots for breakfast. Whenever I find myself in a city with an Eggslut, you can bet I’ll be there grabbing breakfast. It’s just that good.

For the main course, went with the chef's special, a mushroom and beef hamburger that was a heavenly blend of flavors. Also tried their classic chicken Caesar salad, adding a refreshing and tasty choice to the meal. Overall, the dining experience at Verde Bar Restaurant was fantastic, and it’s highly recommended for a satisfying meal with great options for all tastes. Located inside the Nordstrom department, as all Nordstrom stores have a Bar Verde, it’s a gem I've enjoyed at many locations. All of them offer consistently delicious food, a nice atmosphere, and it's a great place for lunch or dinner, especially after a bit of shopping. The service is always surprising in its excellence. Having not been back to this mall or restaurant since the pandemic, a lunch date there was a joy. Opted to sit outside, enjoying fresh Spring air with a relaxing ambiance. The lobster bisque was flavorful, rich, and quite filling, a cup size being good for 1-2 persons already to save room for the rest of the meal. Tried the shrimp salad and shrimp tagliatelle; both had an ample amount of shrimps, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Prices were average compared to other cafes/restaurants. The cheesecake, ending the meal with a caramel sauce that was not too sweet, was the best. Overall, customer service was 4.5 stars, with an attentive waiter. Definitely planning a return visit. Heads up for AUG 30-31, the chef is preparing a special 4-course meal that is fantastic. And the bourbon cocktail is a must-try. The place has always been a go-to for us, with the kids enjoying their meals, offering a relaxing atmosphere and consistently good food. The special menu is worth trying for the crab cakes in the 2nd course and the roast duck in the 3rd course. The crab cakes were flavorful, crisp on the outside, moist on the inside, and the roast duck was crispy outside with juicy perfection inside. And that drink they've paired with it? Smooth and the perfect buzz to end the week. Next time, planning to take a picture of the menu to share. If anyone goes, adding a comment with the menu would be great.

Loved this place! What an amazing green golf court and stunning restaurant interior. The food was fantastic too! I was especially taken by the avocado and French toasts which were absolutely delightful. We had such a lovely Easter brunch here. It was our first time at The Sycamore, and I'm already hoping it won't be our last. The buffet options were impressive for both adults and kids, featuring an omelette station, carving station, waffle station, and more. There was beautiful outdoor seating available, though indoor seating was also an option. Everyone was kind and attentive, making for a terrific memory for our family. We arrived for the 10:30 am seating, which was perfect as it was just before more families started to arrive. The dinner was good; while it didn't blow my mind, it was decent for the price we paid. We didn't have to wait to eat, and the staff was particularly nice. The only downside for some might be the noise from the pool if you sit outside. However, if that doesn't bother you, it actually adds to a lively ambiance. However, it wasn't all perfect. We arrived about 10 minutes early but were seated later than a larger party that arrived after us. Then, our espresso drinks were only room temperature. Also, it was never communicated to us that it was a buffet-style menu, which was a bit of a surprise. Not to mention, it was $45, and only a few items from their brunch menu were offered. Despite these few issues, the overall experience was still enjoyable.

Went with my mom and boyfriend for breakfast today around 9:30 am, and it wasn’t too crowded. Decided to sit outside and immediately fell in love with the ambiance — it felt super nice and cozy. The highlight of our visit had to be the food and the healthy choices available. The Avocado Toast was absolutely to die for - truly a favorite of mine. Alongside, we tried the Three Eggs Plate and couldn’t help but indulge in a Belgium Mocha/Espresso. Each dish tasted incredibly delicious and left us feeling satisfied without being overly full. Despite the place being somewhat busy, the service really stood out. Every request was met with prompt attention and our server made sure we had everything we needed without having to wait too long. This kind of impeccable service really makes a difference, especially when you’re starting your day. The Ham & Gruyère plate was another dish we decided to try and it did not disappoint. The mustards that accompanied it were a nice touch, adding just the right amount of flavor. Even the small salad that came with it was well dressed—simple yet tasty. It’s worth noting that the interiors can get a bit noisy when the place is crowded, so it might not be the best spot if you’re looking to do some work or have a quiet meeting. However, for families or anyone taking a break from shopping, this environment is perfect. Overall, the experience was a good one and consistent with what I’ve come to expect from this chain location. The combination of extremely healthy choices, delicious eats, and impeccable service really made our brunch a memorable one. Definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

After a long gap, heading to Panera Bread for brunch turned out to be a delightful experience, especially in Glendale. With a gift card generously given by a friend, my partner, niece, nephew, and I decided to dive into the Panera menu. We went for a mix - a Chinese chicken salad, tomato soup with a baguette, a chicken avocado sandwich paired with turkey chili, a kid-sized mac and cheese with chips, and a cheese flatbread. The bill totaled around $55, but thanks to the gift card, we only paid $25, which felt like a steal for the amount of food we got! The customer service at this Panera location was top-notch. The only hiccup was a slight mix-up with our order, seemingly because of a confusion or a mishap at the pickup counter. When my partner went to collect our food, someone else claimed our sandwich and chili, leading to a bit of a wait as they prepared another set for us. However, the staff handled it gracefully, compensating us with extra mac and cheese and a cookie for the kids, along with sincere apologies. The ambiance of this Panera Bread is spacious and welcoming, featuring a cozy patio. The staff are friendly, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere despite a minor oversight in food security. It's commendable how the staff try to keep the space comfortable and clean, ensuring a good experience for anyone who walks in, although it feels like they could improve on making everyone feel equally welcome without assumptions. This Panera location benefits from its Chill and clean vibes, fast WiFi, and is an excellent spot for those looking to do some work outside their home or office. The availability of metered and lot parking nearby adds convenience. Quick service, helpful staff, and the perks of having a sip club membership make it a place worth visiting, despite the minor issues we encountered. While there are areas for improvement, like ensuring orders are correctly handed to the right customers and perhaps reevaluating the seating policy, the overall experience was positive. The kind gestures from the staff and the quality of the food served made our brunch at Panera Bread in Glendale a memorable one. It's a reminder of the little things that can turn an ordinary day into a special occasion.
