Little Cuban Cafe
3433 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale
(754) 216-1266
Meghan Deepa
My mother and I visited Little Cuban Cafe this summer, and we were blown away! We both agree it's the best Cuban food we've ever had. The Tamales were incredible, and everything else we tried was equally delicious. The place was spotless, and the service was great. Being a Floridian who grew up on Cuban and Caribbean food, I can confidently say this restaurant ranks in my top 2 or 3 favorites. The staff, although they only spoke Spanish, were super friendly, and the atmosphere was just right. The portions were generous, too. Jose always makes us feel like family, and today was no different. We rode over with our biker friends for lunch, and everyone loved it! The steak sandwich is unbeatable. My son and I enjoyed our time here; it's small, cozy, and the two lady servers were incredibly kind. We’ll definitely be back!
Joe's Cafe
1913 Cordova Rd, Fort Lauderdale
(954) 760-5637
Roshan Davis
Joe's Cafe in Hollywood is a great spot for breakfast, and I absolutely love it there. You can just walk in and sit wherever you like, which is super convenient. When I visit, I usually start with coffee and water, and the coffee is your typical diner style. The service is always quick and friendly, and my waiter was really nice on my last visit. I decided to try an omelette, and it was a lot bigger than I expected. The eggs were definitely the highlight of my meal. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and crispy, just the way I like them. The corned beef hash was a bit salty for me, but that's just personal preference. I also had a fruit bowl, which was fine. The place has a kitschy interior with a lot happening, making it a fun spot to take kids for a weekend breakfast treat. Joe’s is a fantastic find away from the beach, especially if you're looking to escape the high prices of the A1A area. The value is amazing—two full meals with coffee for about $30 is a great deal, especially compared to our hotel's $33 buffet for one. Our waitress, Kathleen, was delightful, and she made sure our orders were spot on. I ordered the Belgian waffle with strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, topped with ice cream, and a side of bacon. My husband had the country fried steak with home fries, eggs over easy, a buttered muffin, and a pancake. Kathleen kept our coffee topped off and was so sweet throughout. The little train engine running on a track above adds a charming touch to the ambiance. Joe's is a simple, divey breakfast spot, and I find myself returning often because of the wholesome staff and good food. The menu is extensive, but I love the Triple and the omelets. The Joe's burger is solid, too. Food is always served quickly and is consistently good. Joe’s Cafe is definitely a spot not to miss!
Mojo Donuts
7906 Pines Blvd, Hollywood
(954) 983-6631
Erick Horton
My first visit to Mojo Donuts was a hit! I decided to pick up a dozen donuts for the workers unloading my truck at Big Lots. The place is clean, organized, and offers a huge selection of donuts. They have specialty and gourmet options that are really fancy. Plus, they have drinks, coffee, lattes, and frappes. I appreciated the discount for buying a dozen and another discount for using cash. The donuts were fresh, great tasting, and absolutely delicious! The young lady behind the counter was super friendly and patient, which was nice because we’re from out of town and needed time to make our choices. The donuts were not only pretty but also incredibly tasty. They're not your typical donuts, with flavors like banana cream pie, Ferrero Rocher, cosmic brownie, and death by chocolate. Truly amazing! I also tried the smoothies, which were delicious too. These donuts are so good, and the service is consistently wonderful. Thank you so much for a great experience!
CAFE CLUB
311 Johnson St, Hollywood
(754) 263-3436
Petrice Pelegrin
Cafe Club in Hollywood is a fantastic spot for breakfast. Their egg sandwich is hands down the best I've ever had—fresh, delicious, and practically melts in your mouth. The place is clean, modern, and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and a great selection of refreshing drinks and even some unique clothing pieces. Johnny, who helped me as they were closing, was incredibly warm and welcoming, as was the entire staff. The location is perfect for a quick bite, and it feels like the healthiest option on the boardwalk. I really love the interior design. I tried the crunchy tuna melt, which was full of flavor, though I wish it had been a bit more toasted. My wife had the French toast, and it was perfect—light, airy, and one of the best we've had. The crepes here are huge and well-made, and the omelette was spot on too. The fruit bowl was fresh and delicious. While the crepes are a bit pricey, they are usually worth it, although I did have a one-off experience where my crepe was overcooked and folded oddly, making it hard to eat. Despite this, I highly recommend Cafe Club and will definitely be returning. 5 stars for the overall experience!
J P's Bagel Place
2649 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood
(954) 921-9483
Elena Hahn
I was super excited for breakfast at J P's Bagel Place in Hollywood, and I must say, it delivered beyond my expectations. Although parking was a bit of a challenge with no street parking and a tight lot, it was worth the little hassle. The staff was friendly and efficient, and we were greeted immediately and seated without any issues. The place gives off that classic 'hole in the wall' vibe, unassuming from the outside, but bustling with activity inside. Despite its small size, it had a surprisingly extensive menu. My son ordered a grilled cheese on a bagel with home fries, which was a hit and could definitely start a new trend. I enjoyed a perfectly portioned omelette with home fries, while my husband loved his 'everything' breakfast, especially the grits. The food truly captured that back street Americana feel, cooked just right and packed with flavor. The bagel breakfast was hands down the best I've had since visiting Florida, and coming from Jersey, that's saying something. The bagels were soft, and the bacon, eggs, and cheese were on point. Be sure to try the home fries with added peppers and onions—you can thank me later. We're thrilled to have finally stopped by, and it has now become our new go-to spot for breakfast and lunch. Everything was cooked exactly as we asked, arrived hot, and the service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back!
Plantation Diner
6903 W Broward Blvd, Plantation
(954) 791-2985
Donna M Winkles
I decided to give Plantation Diner in Hollywood a try for breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The place was quite popular, so there was a bit of a wait, but that just speaks to its popularity. I ordered a croissant with country scrambled eggs and sausage, along with a side of grits. While the grits were a bit on the runny side for my liking, everything else was tasty and satisfying. My friend ordered a Western Omelette, which was a decent size, though they felt the eggs were a bit watered down. The omelette could have used more ham, which was the tastiest part. They also had hash browns and a fresh bagel, and while the hash browns had an unusual taste, the bagel was pleasantly fresh. The service was mostly good, although there was a small hiccup with a little sass from the server due to a miscommunication, but it wasn't a major issue. Overall, the prices were reasonable for the hearty portions we received, and it's worth mentioning they use real eggs. If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot with nice outdoor seating that enhances the experience, Plantation Diner is worth a visit. Despite a couple of small hiccups, we're planning to return, as the positives outweigh the negatives.
Taft Street Cafe
6365 Taft St # 1000, Hollywood
(954) 983-2233
Erik Hadley
I stumbled upon Taft Street Cafe for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in Hollywood. It's tucked away in a small commercial building, so it's easy to miss unless you know it's there, but it's absolutely worth finding. The place was bustling with locals on a Saturday morning, and the staff seemed to know everyone by name, which created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. I ordered a sausage omelette with hash browns and couldn't even finish it. The prices are very reasonable, adding to the charm of this cute, old-school neighborhood spot. Though the decor is a bit outdated, it brought back fond childhood memories for me, and everything was spotless. I have no complaints. What really stood out was the exceptional service. My server, Gail, was friendly and attentive, and I noticed all the staff carried the same sense of genuine hospitality. It's a testament to the fantastic Florida customer service that seems to be rare these days. Plus, they serve breakfast until 3:00 PM, which is a huge bonus! Overall, my experience was amazing. The food was tasty, the service outstanding, and the vibe genuinely cozy. I'm already planning my next visit to try the lunch menu, and I can't wait to bring friends along. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a solid breakfast or brunch in the area. 10/10! 🌟
The Hollywood Donut Factory

Michael Stone
The Hollywood Donut Factory is a true gem for breakfast in Hollywood. Every visit seems to get better with time! The breakfast here is consistently delicious and quick, with fluffy pancakes that come in a variety of flavors. The prices are great and the service is top-notch. I found this place through Google Maps and was thrilled with the discovery. The affordability and generous portions are impressive. My bacon and cheese omelet was packed with thick-cut bacon, and my friend’s lunch special, which included a massive chicken salad wrap, soup, and a donut, was just $10. You can't beat that! The donuts here are huge and worth every penny. The owner, Kat, came over to check on our meal and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The fair prices, large portions, and impeccable service make it a standout spot. Thanks, Kat, from your new friends from Buffalo. Go Bills! The shop itself is an adorable retro donut and diner spot. The wait staff is attentive, keeping coffee refills coming, and the food arrives quickly. It's everything you could want from a local donut shop. The staff is kind and friendly, the donuts are substantial, and the prices are fantastic. Plus, the variety is impressive! We tried five different flavors and could tell they were all fresh. Despite visiting the area for years, we just discovered this place and will definitely return. Unique flavors like Key Lime, Guava, and Dulce de Leche set it apart from typical donut shops, and the Oreo and strawberry cruller were delightful.
Village Cafe
551 Breakers Ave, Fort Lauderdale
(954) 249-1149
Joel Downing
I had an amazing breakfast experience at Village Cafe in Hollywood. The food was fantastic – the French toast, omelettes, and pancakes were all wonderful. The cold brew was spot on, too. Despite the prices being on the higher side, they were reasonable for the area, and every dish met or even exceeded my expectations. If you're staying at the Conrad next door, I highly recommend skipping the room service for Village Cafe. The location is convenient, and the food is far superior. The cleanliness and atmosphere were excellent, making it a delightful place to start the day. Everything, from the omelette and bread to the yogurt, was perfectly presented and delicious. Michael, our server, was outstanding. He was attentive, sweet, and ensured our coffee and water were always refilled. His friendliness and professionalism made our visit even more enjoyable. Normally, I never finish a plate at restaurants, but at Village Cafe, the food and drinks were a 15/10. I will definitely be coming back. If you're in Fort Lauderdale, whether visiting or living nearby, this is one of the best breakfast spots off Beach Blvd. Thank you to Michael and the rest of the staff for providing such a welcoming and top-notch service.
Myapapaya
2528 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale
(954) 338-5651
Susan Stroebel Weston
Healthy, fresh, quick—Myapapaya is an awesome spot for breakfast, offering smoothies, açaí bowls, sandwiches, and more. You order up front and find a seat, often with lovely shaded spots by the water. The sweet potato bowl was delicious, with ingredients that compliment each other perfectly. The staff was great, though finding a table can be tricky if it's busy. I definitely want to come back and explore more of the menu. The veggie wrap was a standout—so flavorful and unique! We also tried the split pea and curry soup, both of which were delicious. The customer service is top-notch. I've been visiting for years, and it continues to impress. I was offered a sample of their pineapple juice, which was fantastic. The chopped salad with homemade croutons and their tuna sandwich on whole wheat are consistently fresh and tasty. Myapapaya is one of my favorite casual spots for lunch, and I highly recommend it. It's a standout dining spot in Fort Lauderdale, perfect for anyone who loves fresh, high-quality meals in a relaxed environment. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Myapapaya is worth a visit.
Lester's Diner
250 W State Rd 84, Fort Lauderdale
(954) 525-5641
Tanya Cole
What a perfect time machine of a restaurant! Lester's Diner offers an amazing atmosphere and delicious food that's exactly what you want from a diner. The French dip with fries and au jus was seasoned perfectly. You absolutely have to try their milkshake and snag a coffee cup from their available swag. It's wonderful to see the history of this place being kept alive. I've been wanting to visit this historic spot when picking up my Louisiana folks from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, and I finally did! The menu is filled with down-home favorites. My Chicken Parm was delicious and came in a big portion! For a real good meal and a great deal, go back in time and sit at the counter. This was my first visit, and we came during lunch hour, so there was no waiting. Their extensive menu offers a little bit of everything. My husband ordered breakfast, and I ordered a sandwich—both were delicious. Our waitress was nice and efficient, and the service was quick. This place has become my go-to for breakfast and diner in Fort Lauderdale. No matter what time of day you visit, the waiters are always busy but incredibly friendly. I love them all! Marlene was our host this week, and she took fantastic care of us. I've been coming here for 15 years, and it's always a pleasure. This week, we had a fantastic breakfast—French toast you'll dream of, eggs and bacon cooked just right, and bottomless coffee and tea. If you're looking for an authentic American breakfast or dinner experience in a diner that's been around since 1967, this is the place to go. And by the way, their bakery items are to die for, just like the dinner options. Go and try it!
Fabulous Soul Food
4924 Pembroke Rd #8110, Hollywood
(954) 404-7389
Carly De Quirós
While on a walk and searching for a store, I stumbled upon Fabulous Soul Food and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I ordered the smothered pork chops breakfast, which gave me the energy boost I needed. The service was impeccable, and the food was incredibly tasty. I was flipping over their food! I ended up trying a large turkey with baked beans, mac n cheese, cornbread, and rice. Despite not being a huge fan of turkey initially, I was instantly hooked. The turkey was succulent, the beans had that sweet and smoky flavor, and the cornbread was delightfully sweet. The lemonade was the perfect refreshing drink to complement the meal. The atmosphere is filled with family love, and everyone there is extremely friendly. It's a hidden gem that truly stands out, and I'm sure to become a regular, at least for the next 12 weeks. The spot is perfect for getting you right with delicious, fresh, and hot food. Even the regulars and the busy Doordash orders are a testament to its popularity. I also tried the smothered pork chops with collard greens and macaroni and cheese, which were absolutely fantastic! I got a to-go box for a friend with smothered turkey, baked beans, and potato salad. The cornbread and desserts, like the red velvet and lemon cake, were a must-try. The prices are reasonable, and every employee is beyond friendly. Although there was a delivery mishap at one point, I recommend picking up your order in person to avoid any issues. This place is definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to go back.
Cuban Cafe Art Park Young Circle
1657 Tyler St, Hollywood
(954) 367-5064
Luisauri Arroyo
What a fantastic find! The customer service at Cuban Cafe Art Park Young Circle was stellar, and the breakfast was delicious. I tried the Croissant and the Good Morning sandwich. The ham and cheese Croissant was simple yet satisfying, and the Good Morning sandwich was bursting with flavor—absolutely delightful! The coffee here is outstanding. I ordered an iced coffee, and it was so good that I wanted to savor it slowly. It's the perfect spot to escape to right in downtown, just a short distance from offices, hotels, and only five minutes from Hollywood Beach. This cafe feels like a mini paradise, offering what I believe is the best coffee in the area—and that's saying something, coming from a Colombian! The variety of Latin food and coffee products makes this place special. The service is impeccable, and the music truly makes you feel like you're in the Caribbean. Plus, the croissant breakfast sandwich and guava pastries are a must-try!
First Watch
3257 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood
(954) 674-5070
Carmelo Perez
If you want your morning to start off right, let this place handle it; their breakfast is amazing! I usually go for their traditional breakfast with bread, potatoes, eggs, and bacon. If you're in the mood for something sweet, you can upgrade to million-dollar bacon, which is coated in delicious maple syrup. I also recommend their mint mocha iced coffee. It's a terrific way to kick off the day. I've been here many times, and it's always a great experience. The ambience, service, and food are consistently good. I brought my 9-year-old son today, and he said, "This is the best place to have breakfast, and I want to give it 5 stars, Mom!" He really enjoyed his meal, and I loved the new Shishito Brisket Hash—it was perfect! We also tried the million-dollar potatoes, and they were very good. My son had waffles with bacon, then ordered a pancake and loved them! This place is fantastic for breakfast. I’ve been to First Watch in different cities, and they always offer a good menu and service. I would recommend it to anyone.
Grampa's Restaurant
17 SW 1st St, Dania Beach
(954) 923-2163
Olga Urias
Grampa's Restaurant is truly a gem in South Florida with its long-standing history since 1957. The recent remodel has transformed the space into something airy and open, even accommodating events, which is a nice touch. I was impressed by the prompt service, and although the food wasn’t as hot as I would have liked, the flavors more than made up for it. The server brought out some delicious coffee cake that was a great start to the meal. The western omelette I ordered was tasty, and the hash browns were delightfully crispy, which is how I like them. The everything bagel I tried was also quite enjoyable. What really stood out during our visit was the exceptional service. Despite having a party of seven, we didn’t have to wait long, and the server was both knowledgeable and attentive, making excellent menu recommendations. I had a Reuben, which was the best I've ever tasted, with tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and perfectly melted Swiss cheese. The sides, including the potato salad and fries, were crispy and well-seasoned. It was a surprise and delight when the chef came out to check on us, adding a personal touch to our experience. The bakery section was full of tempting treats, and the pastries we tried were as delicious as they looked. We discovered Grampa’s while staying nearby, and it didn’t disappoint. After a fantastic lunch, we returned for breakfast, where we enjoyed a western omelette and an everything bagel with lox cream cheese. The bagels were fresh, warm, and generously sized, and the omelette was filled with well-cooked veggies and ham. Despite a 3% service fee, the overall experience was worth every penny. Grampa’s Bakery & Restaurant is a nostalgic place that feels like home. With ample parking and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s easy to see why it’s a community favorite. I have no hesitation in recommending Grampa's for a satisfying and memorable dining experience.
Maple Street Biscuit Company
10280 Pines Blvd Suite 102, Pembroke Pines
(754) 202-2535
Elizabeth Itté
We decided to try Maple Street Biscuit Company for breakfast after a quick search, and wow, we were impressed! The food and service were top-notch. We ordered the Breakfast Tacos with bacon, egg, and cheese, and the Sticky Maple Breakfast Biscuit—both were tasty with good portions. The dark roast coffee was excellent. The atmosphere and vibe were perfect, and the customer service was commendable. I had visited their Nashville location a year ago, and this experience was just as enjoyable. The menu has a lot of options, so take a minute to decide. With four of us, we spent around $60. I kept it simple with eggs, bacon, smash browns, and a biscuit. The food was average, but the biscuits really stood out, especially with butter and the option to add jam or gravy. It's not an over-the-top breakfast, but the biscuits alone make it worth the visit. Portions aren't huge, so consider sharing if you want to try different items. Seating was plentiful, both indoors and outdoors. The ice caramel mocha latte was decent, but the highlight was the freshly squeezed and sweet orange juice. The atmosphere feels typical of a fast-casual spot, but the friendly staff made it memorable. They even surprised my mom with a plate of biscuits topped with chocolate and strawberries for her birthday, which was a lovely touch. Overall, while some items were better than others, the biscuits make it worth a visit. If you’re nearby and have limited time, it's a solid choice. I’ll definitely be back!
Florio's of Little Italy
200 Garfield St #3301, Hollywood
(954) 925-0004
Enrique Delgado
An absolute delight! Florio's of Little Italy in Hollywood is a gem. The place provides not only a stunning view while you dine but also some of the best food I've had in a long time. The pizza, surprisingly huge, was one of the best I've ever tasted. The lasagna was incredible too, cooked to perfection with a golden, crispy cheesy layer on top. I came here on vacation from Arizona, and our meal was ridiculously delicious. My husband claimed it was the best spaghetti he's ever had at a restaurant! We even got to enjoy our wine served carafe style, which added a nice touch to our early dinner. This place has so much to offer, and the food is seriously amazing. If you're nearby, you have to try it. I'll definitely be back often!
Señor Café
1520 S Federal Hwy, Hollywood
(954) 924-1666
Person Elizabeth
I absolutely love Señor Café for both breakfast and lunch! It's a fantastic local spot that you just have to visit. They open bright and early at 6:00 am, making it perfect for early risers. One of my favorites is the “El Don’s Special,” which comes with your choice of Cuban or American coffee and toast. The food is always hot, tasty, and plentiful. For lunch, the pork chops are a must-try—simply delicious. I also had the whole fried red snapper, which was perfectly fried and seasoned. The rice with red beans that came with it was really good too. The steak sandwich is another highlight. While the yuca bites and plantain chips had an aftertaste that wasn't to my liking, everything else was great. The service is solid, with Alex being an awesome waiter. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and friendly, really like eating with family. It's an authentic Cuban vibe that adds to the experience. Prices are reasonable, making it a great value. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out Señor Café. Hopefully, I'll see you there—definitely a 5-star experience!
The Original Pancake House
21215 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura
(305) 933-1966
Maria Barbieri
This was such a great experience. From the moment we walked in, our hostess Veada was incredibly friendly. Maria, our waitress, was very kind and helpful, guiding us through our breakfast choices. She was attentive to all her customers, which made the visit feel personalized and welcoming. The restaurant was spotless, and the food was fantastic. It's been a long time since I've had French toast cooked so perfectly. My eggs were done just right, with the best cheese mixed in, and the bacon was deliciously smoky and crispy. We were so impressed that we ended up coming back the next day, even though it was busy due to the Dolphins/Raiders game. Despite the rush, we were seated within 10 minutes, and the friendliness and quality remained top-notch. Elizabeth, our server, recommended the apple pancakes for dessert, and they were a hit. The avocado toast was also delightful. This place consistently delivers excellent service and food—definitely a nice spot for breakfast. Highly recommended!
Piccadilly Restaurants
4500 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood
(954) 966-0636
Eusebio Cabmar
Breakfast at Piccadilly Restaurants in Hollywood is always a pleasant experience. The food is freshly cooked, with a mindful touch for seniors in terms of flavors. Although the atmosphere could use a bit of modern flair and some lively music to attract a younger crowd, the experience was delightful. The servers were helpful and pleasant, making the visit enjoyable. While the pricing might seem a bit high since everything is priced separately, the quality makes up for it. On my visits, I've had the fried shrimp with collard greens and red potatoes, and another time, the broiled fish with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Each meal was delicious. The coffee was good, and the server was attentive. I always feel a wave of nostalgia when eating at Piccadilly. The variety of meals they offer, from roast beef to peach cobbler, brings back fond memories. I wish they would reopen in Miami. Despite its dated decor, the atmosphere is quiet and homely, attracting a loyal local crowd. The cafeteria-style service adds to the charm, allowing you to pick what you fancy. Overall, the meals are satisfying, and the staff's friendliness makes every visit memorable.
