From the moment we walked in, everything was amazing. The gentleman behind the counter guided us through the entire menu and answered all our questions with patience. The salads are huge, and the atmosphere is inviting and fun, with plenty of outdoor seating. The sandwiches are massive, and I can confidently say that this is BY FAR the best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had! The staff is incredibly friendly, making the place even more amazing. It’s truly a must-visit spot! This is our first time writing a review because the food was just that good. If you're looking for sandwiches and aren't sure where to go, this is the place. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the customer service is incredible. Parking was super easy and fast too. I tried the pastrami sandwich and hazelnut coffee—both were outstanding! Highly recommended!

W Cafe & Restaurant in Irvine is an excellent choice for breakfast. They offer a variety of halal options, which is fantastic. The staff are incredibly nice and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The food is great—I'd recommend trying it out for yourself. I ordered a flatbread pizza topped with pepperoni, colored peppers, and cheese, and I would rate it a 7/10. It's definitely worth trying. The breakfast burrito is really good too. The service is efficient, and the food is tasty. Overall, it's a solid spot for a satisfying breakfast.
Maldon’s Bistro

Mimi Watts
My husband and I were visiting Southern California and stumbled upon Maldon’s Bistro through the “Find Me GF” app. With his celiac condition and our preference for gluten-free dining, finding this gem was a blessing. We were thrilled to support a Christian-owned business, and may God bless them for their wonderful service! The bistro's French aesthetic was beautiful, and the staff were genuinely sweet and welcoming. We were so impressed that we visited twice during our stay. Some standout dishes included the ice lavender latte, French onion soup, OC omelette, Nutella crêpe, and especially the cinnamon roll. The pastry chef is truly talented! It's such a relief to find a place that offers delicious gluten-free food. I even got to enjoy eggs Benedict for the first time since going gluten-free. Although the service was a bit slow, the experience was worth it. On our drive from San Diego to LA, we stopped to charge our Tesla and discovered this amazing café right at closing time. Despite the late hour, the staff treated us with incredible kindness and consideration. The ambiance is lovely, and the latte was perfect—smooth and full-bodied without any bitterness. If you're in the area, you won’t regret stopping in. It's a fantastic spot for anyone with gluten-free dietary needs or anyone simply seeking a fine dining experience in a French/American bistro setting. The food is truly gourmet, and the staff is super nice. We’re already planning to stop by again on our next trip south. It’s wonderful to have a dedicated gluten-free restaurant like this!
S'wich Bistro

I had the pleasure of visiting S'wich Bistro for breakfast in Irvine, and I must say, I'm impressed. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is top-notch. The food here is delicious, and though it might be on the pricier side, it's definitely worth it. In the pictures, you can see the Korean BBQ and Turkey Pesto sandwiches – both large and satisfying. The staff is friendly, and there’s plenty of parking along with both outdoor and indoor seating options. Their Korean BBQ Beef and Loaded Burger are usually my go-to options, but this time, I decided to try the Oink Oink Melt, and it was a tasty sammich. The garden burger and regular burger were both flavorful, with buns that were soft and slightly chewy, enhancing the overall taste. The fries are crisp and well-seasoned. S'wich Bistro has quickly become my favorite deli in the area. I can’t wait to come back for breakfast again. If you’re in Irvine, this is the best sandwich place you’ll find.

Everyday Eatery in Irvine is a top-notch spot for breakfast and brunch. My wife and I had a fantastic experience there, and I'm already looking forward to our next visit. The lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of eggs we shared were spot on—just the right amount for us to enjoy without feeling stuffed. The ambiance is perfect, with a modern and welcoming design full of natural light. You can tell they put thought into the space, making it feel cozy yet open, whether you're dining solo or with a group. It’s a great escape from the usual brunch places around Orange County. The food is outstanding. I tried the Truffle Scramble, and it was delicious—not too heavy and bursting with flavor. The Acai Bowl was beautifully presented, and the Crispy Chicken Sando stood out with its juicy and crispy texture. Even the Avocado Toast had a nice twist with chili flakes and radish slices. Drinks deserve a shoutout too. I had the Iced Vietnamese Coffee, and it was perfectly balanced. They offer plenty of specialty lattes, and the Turmeric Latte is a must-try for something unique. Service was good, with friendly staff who know their menu well. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so there’s sometimes a wait, but it’s manageable. Everyday Eatery is the kind of place you can relax with a laptop or catch up with friends over brunch. With fresh, flavorful food and excellent drinks, it’s a gem worth visiting in Irvine. If you can, go during less busy times to avoid the crowds, but even if you hit peak hours, it's worth it.

While visiting Irvine for business, I stumbled upon Poached Neighborhood Kitchen, and I'm so glad I did. It's incredibly convenient for a quick stop, offering a satisfying breakfast with protein and caffeine to kickstart my day. Their avocado toast and freshly brewed coffee hit the spot perfectly. I'm eager to return to try their seasonal specials because everything I've had so far has been delightful. The waffles are downright amazing—probably the best I've ever tasted. Even the french fries and vanilla latte are delicious. The service is excellent, making it a place you definitely don't want to miss. I'm particularly fond of their chilaquiles, which are outstanding. Although I find the orange juice a bit overpriced for its size, it’s still good. I wish they could adjust the pricing a bit. Despite not having many locations, the ones they do have are superb, with a great design. I haven’t had the chance to dine in yet, but I hope to in the future. Each visit brings consistently good food and service. Typically, I go for eggs Benedict, but today I tried the strawberry rhubarb waffles, and they were very tasty. I highly recommend it to anyone nearby—you won't be disappointed!

Avocado Cafe in Irvine is a rare gem for breakfast, and I'm thrilled to give it a full 5 stars. The food is consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients that result in creamy and rich flavors across all dishes. The sandwiches are a standout, and you simply have to try the Pineapple Express drink—it's fantastic! The atmosphere is inviting, and the ladies who work there are always friendly, adding to the great experience. Though the prices are on the higher side, the portions are generous and worth every penny. I wish it wasn't so far from me because I'd definitely be a regular. We took our breakfast to go, and it was just as satisfying. Next time, I'll make sure to dine in so I can capture the lovely interior. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a fresh and delicious breakfast!

W Cafe & Restaurant in Irvine has a welcoming and professional vibe that I truly appreciated. The staff, especially Amza, always had a smile, which made my visit pleasant. After coming from a doctor's appointment and fasting, I found the location to be super convenient. The atmosphere inside is charming, making it a nice spot to relax. During my visit, I ordered a matcha latte, an egg, and a toast. While the latte was pricier than Starbucks and not as impressive, the overall experience was still good. Although there was a hiccup with my egg and toast being left on the counter and getting cold, the staff was friendly and attentive once prompted. I didn't get to fully explore their food offerings, but the location and the friendly service make me want to return and try more. Their freshly prepared fruit salad and mango smoothie stood out, both being of excellent quality. The quick service and easy parking added to the convenience, especially with the cafe being easily accessible by car. It wasn't crowded during my Saturday morning visit, which was a plus. Overall, W Cafe & Restaurant offers great potential with its awesome setting and quality food. Despite a few minor issues, I'm glad I tried it and am looking forward to visiting again.
Burnt Crumbs Irvine
8549 Irvine Center Dr, Irvine
(949) 502-5998
James Aragon
Burnt Crumbs in Irvine is a delightful spot for breakfast with a menu that's both unique and enticing. This all-day breakfast place also features some intriguing lunch options. I went alone, but it struck me as the perfect spot to visit with a group of friends so you can sample a variety of dishes. There were several items I wanted to try, but I settled on the pastrami hash breakfast sandwich. The bun was just right—soft enough to bite into but sturdy enough to hold everything together. While the sandwich was a bit greasy from the pastrami, which some might enjoy, I found myself wishing I had tried something else. However, their Tabasco aioli and home fried potatoes were a definite highlight—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The service was impressively fast. After placing my order and receiving a number, my food was brought to me in no time. Parking is a breeze with plenty of spaces available in the shared lot. Despite being a small venue, there's a lot of outdoor seating to enjoy. The only slight inconvenience is the line, which can get long since the register is near the entrance. I also tried the Strawberry Cream Souffle Pancake and the country fried steak sandwich. The pancake didn't quite hit the mark for me, with a somewhat artificial cream taste, and the steak sandwich was a bit chewy. Regardless, the potatoes were a reliable win. One thing to note is the birds that sometimes hover nearby, but it's a small price to pay for dining outdoors. Overall, Burnt Crumbs offers fast, friendly service and delicious food in generous portions, perfect for sharing. The flavors stand out even without needing extra sauces. I had a fantastic brunch experience and am keen to return, especially to try their avocado toast. My drinks—strawberry lemonade and orange juice—rounded out the meal beautifully.
Stacks Pancake House
14421 Culver Dr, Irvine
(949) 679-1233
Desta Garcia
Breakfast at Stacks Pancake House in Irvine was a satisfying experience with a few highlights worth noting. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, making it easy to find something for everyone. During my visit with my family, we opted for a family-style approach, sharing the trio waffles, kalua pork omelette, and Portuguese sausage fried rice. Each dish was delicious, and the Portuguese fried rice especially brought back wonderful memories—definitely comfort food at its best. The environment is clean, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The casual setting is perfect for a relaxed meal, and if the weather is nice, eating outside is a great option. There's ample free parking, which makes getting in and out convenient. However, I did notice a few areas for improvement. The vibe felt a bit generic, and the service, while generally good, had room for more attentiveness. I was surprised by the expectation of tipping just for placing an order, but these small issues didn't overshadow the quality of the food. Overall, Stacks Pancake House serves excellent breakfast options, particularly if you enjoy trying different flavors and dishes. The Toffee Guava French Toast with fresh coconut cream and the Hawaiian latte were standout items that I'll definitely come back for. Although I wish they offered a pancake flight, the variety available is more than enough to keep me returning.

Mimi's Cafe in Irvine is hands down the best breakfast spot I've been to in California. The food is incredible, especially the bran muffin and the French Quarter Burger, which my husband insisted I try—it's now a favorite of mine. The drinks are just as good, and the service is top-notch. Carlos and Gabriel are the go-to servers if you're looking for friendly, attentive service. The staff here is always helpful and nice, making every visit a pleasure. Whether I'm catching up with friends over bottomless mimosas or enjoying a family brunch, I can always count on a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. David, one of the waiters, stood out with his super attentive nature and endless coffee refills. I've been to other Mimi's Cafe locations, but this one is definitely my favorite, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive out of my way to eat here. For anyone looking for a brunch spot with great food and an inviting vibe, this place is a must-visit in OC!
Bruegger's Bagels
3991 Irvine Blvd, Irvine

Jacob Wisely
I stopped by Bruegger's Bagels in Irvine for breakfast and had a really positive experience. I ordered the Western breakfast bagel and a small coffee. The food was delicious, and the coffee hit the spot. Although the price was a bit high at $13.23, I felt the quality made it worthwhile. The place is small but clean, with sports on TV for entertainment. There was plenty of free parking available since it's located in a shopping center next to Starbucks and Chevron. It only took me about 5 minutes to order, and I appreciated how fast the service was despite a line when I arrived. I've tried several items on their menu, and they've all been excellent. It's a great spot for breakfast, and I'll definitely be coming back for more of their tasty offerings.
Bruegger's Bagels

Sabelia Hetrick
I visited Bruegger's Bagels during a business trip in Irvine, and it quickly became a highlight of my day. I was there early in the morning, around 7 a.m., and it was one of the few spots open at that hour. My first order was a cheese bagel with honey and walnut cream cheese, which was so delicious that I immediately went for another—this time, the Vermont breakfast sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious and convinced me to order a box for my meeting later. Bruegger's Bagels feels like a hidden gem in California, and I really wish they had a location in the Inland Empire, where I usually work and stay. I also tried an avocado, bacon, and tomato sandwich on pumpernickel, and the sundried tomatoes were a delightful surprise. Their offerings are affordable and of undeniable quality, making it a great spot for breakfast lovers. The cashier was sweet and friendly, adding to the positive experience, though I think the rest of the staff could benefit from a little more warmth when serving customers. Despite this, their "Vermonter" remains my top choice, and I often stop by on my way to work. I do recommend trying their premium bagels and hope to see more locations in the future.
Denny's

Karen Oneal
I had breakfast at Denny’s in Irvine, and it was a fantastic experience. Arriving at 6am, I was impressed by the quality of the food. The steak, hash browns, fries, and French toast were all highlights of my meal. My sister decided on a vegetarian patty for her slam burger, skipping the bacon, and she absolutely loved it, especially the French toast. The coffee was just right, which really set a nice tone for our breakfast. The customer service was outstanding. I never felt rushed, and they got my order spot on. The staff communicated well and were attentive without being intrusive, which made the meal all the more enjoyable. Overall, this was the best Denny's experience I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, almost like being at a family-owned establishment. The entire staff was attentive and genuinely warm, making me feel right at home. It's definitely a gem, and I plan to come back regularly, bringing my family along to enjoy it too.

Breakfast Republic at UC Irvine is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The cozy atmosphere is a nice break from campus life. The menu is varied, offering everything from pancakes to unique egg dishes and burritos. The portions are big and the ingredients are top-notch, making it a great deal. Parking is usually easy to find, but it's best to come early, especially on weekends or during busy times because the area can get crowded. Max and Gloria really stood out with their friendly, attentive service, enhancing our experience. Their warm hospitality was a nice touch. If you’re in Irvine and need a good breakfast or brunch, definitely check out Breakfast Republic. The food is delicious, the ambiance welcoming, and the service outstanding. It's definitely a place worth visiting. A standout for me was the Cafe de Olla. With a bit of cream, it was the best coffee I’ve had in a while. The cinnamon and piloncillo gave it the perfect balance of flavor. I ordered the Cluck Madame, and it didn't disappoint. The eggs were perfectly runny, and the hollandaise had just the right amount of sourness. A great choice, though I was too full to finish the potatoes. We didn’t wait long for a table, and our server was consistently attentive. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Irvine. Despite a busy Sunday, we were quickly seated outside. For family breakfast, we ordered several dishes, and they all arrived on time and just as we requested. Service was top-notch, and I would certainly come back.

Le Cafe Du Parc by Chocofruit in Irvine is a great spot with a nice view and delicious food. I love the atmosphere, perfect for hanging out with friends. The menu is impressive, especially the special crepes and espresso. It's a fantastic location for a family breakfast. Although the service can be a bit limited since there's only one staff member working, the food makes up for it. The fruit cup stood out as particularly tasty. It's worth visiting all their locations for a relaxing and enjoyable breakfast experience.

Donald Bennett
During our vacation, we stopped by this great spot for breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. We went on a Friday mid-morning, and the staff greeted us right away, friendly and patient as they explained the menu. The food was incredible! If you're in the mood for a unique breakfast experience, I highly recommend it. We loved it so much that we tried to recreate the dishes at home since we don't have many Hawaiian options where we live. I tried the loco moco with Portuguese sausage, and it was a satisfying meal. The portion was generous, filled with flavor, and the Portuguese sausage added a special touch. The decor was simple yet inviting, with island posters that made me feel like I was in a tropical paradise. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff making sure we had a great dining experience. For brunch, we ordered various dishes, including spicy chicken and bacon waffles, eggs Benedict with pork, waffles with a fruit medley, and more. Each dish was delicious, especially the ube pancakes and blueberry pancakes, which became my favorites. The coffee was also great. Most of the seating was outdoors, and it was a busy spot, but the wait was only about 15 minutes. It's definitely a place I'd go back to if I'm ever in the area again. If you're craving Hawaiian flavors in Irvine, this restaurant is a must-try.
