I had a fantastic breakfast experience at Flossie's in Irving. HaLa, our hostess, was incredibly nice, kind, and cheerful, which made our visit feel very welcoming. She even went out of her way to ask the chef to prepare a small cake for my friend's birthday, which was a lovely touch. The atmosphere was calming and relaxing, making it a perfect spot for breakfast. We did have a large crowd, and our server missed taking the order from one of the four families, so the food didn't come out at the same time. However, HaLa was amazing and made up for these hiccups by ensuring we felt well taken care of. I grabbed brunch here after doing lawn pilates at OMNI, and it was the best decision ever. The food and service were exceptional, with a great variety at the buffet. The team at Flossie's, especially HaLa, truly set the bar high. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to come again!

You can really tell they use quality beans because the coffee is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee in a comfortable setting. It’s a chic spot with unique drinks and pastries. There was only one gluten-free baked good, but it was tasty. I ordered Turkish coffee, a white chocolate raspberry loaf, and a Spanish latte. Service was quick, though Turkish coffee takes a minute, so patience is key. They score bonus points for free wifi, outdoor seating, and a water refill station. The Fig Waffle and Turkey Sando we ordered were a delicious blend of flavors. I also tried the Trinity Latte with oat milk and caramel, which was well-balanced and subtle. The interior is unique, clean, and attractive to modern-day society. Coffee and atmosphere are both great. Big shout out to Tara—her coffee is delicious, and she is so kind and loving!

Walking in, I was immediately struck by the nostalgic charm of an old-school cafe and coffee shop. The decor might be a bit dated, but it certainly adds to the authentic atmosphere. My wife ordered a classic breakfast of French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. The French toast was particularly delicious. I opted for a dish with biscuits on the bottom, sausage, eggs, gravy, and a side of taters. Each component was spot on—soft biscuits, perfectly cooked eggs, well-seasoned taters, and the sausage was just right. I washed it all down with a refreshing unsweetened tea. While it felt like the meal took a little longer to arrive than expected, the quality of the food made it worth the wait. I'm eager to return and try something else—those pancakes looked especially fluffy. The food at Shorty's is made fresh, and the cinnamon pecan pancakes are the best I've had. The bacon is nicely crispy, though the gravy and biscuit could use a little improvement. The duo team running the place is kind, polite, and extremely accommodating, making for a pleasant dining experience. Pricing is more than fair, though the poor outdoor signage makes it easy to miss this hidden gem. Despite that, the regulars seem to keep this place thriving, and I hope more of the community will discover its charm. Listening to the lively banter of farmers discussing water rights and tractors was an unexpected highlight. Overall, Shorty's offers great food, good service, and excellent pricing—a wonderful spot that deserves to be put back on the map!

Siena Cafe in Irving is an excellent spot for brunch, especially if you enjoy a bustling atmosphere. We arrived around noon on a Sunday and, despite the 15-minute wait, found it well worth it. The menu offers a variety of options, and I particularly enjoyed the waffles and fried chicken—those mini waffles were a delightful touch. The crispy chicken wrap was good, though I would have preferred more chicken to balance the veggies. We also tried the avocado salad, which was fresh and satisfying. On a previous visit for breakfast, we each chose a skillet meal. The protein skillet was my pick, while my husband enjoyed the cypress skillet—highly recommended if you're a fan of kielbasa! The service was fantastic, with our server keeping our coffee cups filled and even providing to-go cups when we left. The food came out quickly, was hot, and the portions were generous. Clean bathrooms and ample parking made the experience even better, and I loved that they had an outdoor patio where patrons could dine with their dogs. We chose Siena Cafe for breakfast this morning as we were staying nearby after attending a trade show at the Irving Convention Center. I was impressed by their accommodating nature, such as offering extra salad at no extra charge, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other places like Jam and Toast. With their early opening hours at 7 am on Sundays, we could enjoy a hearty breakfast of corn beef hash omelette and a breakfast combo before our flight. Overall, I give them 5 stars for their fresh, hot food and welcoming staff. When we're back in the area next year, Siena Cafe will be our first choice!

I visited Taqueria El Arquito for breakfast in Irving and had a fantastic experience. The customer service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly sweet and kind-hearted. It was great to see how well they interacted with the younger crowd in the restaurant, showing genuine care and attention. The service was remarkably fast, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered Buffalo wings and seasoned fries, and both were excellent. The wings were generously sized with plenty of meat, and the fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and hot. The torta I tried was also delicious, and the drink was cold and refreshing. On a previous visit, I had ordered through Uber Eats when I had a leader visiting town, and we polished off 25 tacos de trompo between the three of us—it was that good! Coming to the actual location with my brother and husband, I found the experience just as wonderful. The presentation of the dishes was impressive. During our visit, our group tried the trompo taco special, pork tamal, breakfast chorizo taco, and chilaquiles, all of which were delicious homemade offerings. The cafe de olla was a delightful treat that topped off the meal perfectly. I highly recommend Taqueria El Arquito for its warm service and tasty food. We're definitely planning to return and perhaps visit their other locations, too.

While the greens could use a bit more seasoning, the macaroni and cheese was spot on. Mama's Daughters' Diner is going to be a regular stop for me. The inside is super cute, and the staff are genuinely warm and friendly. Small mom-and-pop eateries always have a special place in my heart. I was pointed in this direction and couldn't be happier. The food is top-notch, and the service matches it. I was due for a good chicken fried steak, and this place delivered. Paired it with fried okra, a salad, and cornbread muffins—what a satisfying meal. My friends ordered the meatloaf, and it was equally delicious. The Friday special with chicken fried chicken, candied yams, mac & cheese, slaw, and cornbread at $12 is also quite the deal, though I might opt for something other than yams next time. Stumbling onto this diner while looking for food options in the area was a true find. The chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes come in large portions, and the rolls are amazing. I'm definitely coming back. The atmosphere is relaxed, with an older crowd, making it a peaceful spot without any loud disturbances.

The menu is fantastic, with a wide variety of options that cater to every taste. I tried their signature pancakes, which were fluffy and flavorful, just like homemade. The coffee was just right—freshly brewed and plentiful. The service was efficient and attentive without being overbearing. What stands out is the range of vegetarian options available. The commitment to offering creative and delicious vegetarian meals is impressive. During my visit, I had the Elevated Egg sandwich, which was delicious with its perfectly paired over-easy egg and lemon-dressed arugula. The potatoes on the side were seasoned well, light yet crunchy, and I didn’t even miss the ketchup. My friend enjoyed the generously topped avocado toast, and the perfectly cooked eggs on top were a hit. I appreciate the QR code feature for splitting the bill, making checkout smooth and easy. One of the cleanest Waffle Houses I've ever been to! The service was great—different from the usual reputation people talk about. Not that I mind, since I always enjoy Waffle House, but this experience was especially pleasant. The food was cooked with care and you could tell there was a lot of heart in it, which was a delightful surprise. For what it was, my experience here was a 10/10 for Waffle House. There was a bit of confusion at first about the seating process. You have to seat yourself when a table clears, but once I figured that out, everything was smooth. The food was good, and the price wasn’t bad either—$25 for two people. The service was commendable. Our server was friendly, though clearly busy, and the staff seemed more focused on selecting songs than anything else, but it didn’t bother me much. There were about four servers for the whole place, which has eight tables and around 10 seats at the counter. It was quite lively for a Monday morning at 10 a.m. Though this location is one I visit frequently, this time fell a little short of expectations. It became obvious that new staff were working, which threw off the usual efficiency. Tables weren’t being cleaned promptly, and it seemed like one slow worker was a bottleneck for everyone else. Despite some challenges, I have fond memories of bringing my children here every weekend and even going twice a week myself. Although this visit wasn't entirely up to the usual standard, I still hold hope that the charm of this place will return. It feels like it just needs better direction and management to get back on track.

We came running from the nearby IHOP, which was packed and didn't look very clean, and ended up at Denny’s Las Colinas. What a great decision that was! The place was super clean, the staff friendly and professional, especially Javier, our server. He made our breakfast experience really enjoyable. The service was excellent and top-notch. Javier made sure we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in, even though he was helping another customer. He quickly brought us coffee, which was a great start to our morning. Our food came out hot and fast, and Javier checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. My family and I were thrilled with the experience. I'm so glad we found this Denny's after moving to Las Colinas. The servers are always nice, and the managers make sure everything is in order. The ambiance is pleasant, and the place is well-kept. Thank you, Javier and the rest of the staff. We'll definitely be returning soon!

There were also some challenges with ordering, both online and in-store, which led to some frustration. Nevertheless, for the most part, the bagels themselves were tasty, making it worth a visit if you focus on the positives and enjoy a delicious bagel breakfast.

Gas station tacos have never been this good! Go Loco Street Tacos & Burritos inside the Shell shop in Irving is a hidden gem. The breakfast torta and breakfast burritos are standout items, and I can only imagine the regular ones are just as tasty. The green salsa has the perfect kick, and Taco Tuesday offers $2 tacos that are a must-try. The ingredients are fresh, and the tacos are made incredibly fast. After enjoying tacos, I decided to try a breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint. The best deal here is the 3 Barbacoa tacos for $6.97—unbeatable! While the ordering space inside is limited, there's a nice seating area outside if you're into car-watching at the wash. Service can be hit or miss, sometimes quick and communicative, other times a bit slow. However, the flavor is consistently great. They've also improved their portion sizes, offering a 5 taco platter for just $10—deals like this are hard to find in the area. Overall, you'll find yourself coming back for more, no doubt about it.

La Madeleine was a fantastic spot to kick off a day in Irving. I brought my friend who was visiting from another part of the world, and we were both extremely impressed. The variety of breakfast items was delightful, and the food was fresh and full of flavor, truly capturing the essence of a French bakery. The muffins and croissants were a highlight, each bite a true delight. The coffee was impeccably fresh and expertly brewed, providing the perfect start to a beautiful morning. It was nice to see morning joggers enjoying their coffee and pastries as well. GM Kim and Alicia from the MacArthur store were exceptionally kind to us, providing outstanding guest service, which is why we order delivery from them twice a week. The Florentine quiches were another 10/10. I wholeheartedly recommend La Madeleine to anyone seeking a scrumptious and laid-back breakfast to start their day perfectly in Irving. It's a cute place with a very relaxed atmosphere.

For my meal, I had a half soup/sandwich combo, a hazelnut latte, and an orange Bundt cake. Everything tasted good, and I left happy with my choices. The sandwich stood out as especially good, although the salad was just average. While the food took a bit longer than I expected, it wasn't too much of a bother since they weren't busy. On a positive note, it was nice to see the place being semi-clean, with nothing too out of place. Although not everything was perfect, like the cold pasta and limited syrup for the pancakes, I still appreciate the usual Corner Bakery fare. Overall, it was a decent breakfast, and I would consider visiting again, especially for the things I enjoyed.
