Big Brew Little Brew

I've always been curious about Big Brew Little Brew since I worked on Veterans, and I'm so glad I finally checked it out. The food was fresh, the coffee was strong, and the vibe was spot on! It's a great place to get some work done. On my first visit, I was impressed by how presentable and affordable everything was. The café itself is beautiful, and the paintings are stunning, adding to the charm of the place. I'm not usually a coffee drinker, so finding quality tea can be a challenge, but they knocked it out of the park here. I had the BEST London fog of my life. The tea was strong, and the milk froth was just perfect. I can't stop thinking about how delicious it was! Their menu is eclectic and delicious. The fruit bowl was fresh, and the breakfast sandwich was hearty. The lattes are yummy and beautifully presented. I like to choose a syrup to enhance the flavor but always ask for half syrup for just a hint of sweetness. The only drawback was the customer service. No greeting when we walked in, and the cashier seemed uninterested and rushed us. It's a shame because the place itself is so inviting and has so much potential. Despite that, I'll definitely be back for the amazing food and drinks.
Tex-Rican Restaurant

If you're short on time and craving some authentic Puerto Rican food, Tex-Rican Restaurant in Killeen is the place to be! Their selection includes the most popular dishes from Puerto Rico, and the quality is consistently great. My go-to order is the "Arroz con gandules" with roasted pork and either Yuca or Tostones. Having just come back from Puerto Rico recently, I can honestly say the food here might even be better. The staff is always friendly, and the food is fresh every time. The lively music makes dining here a fun experience, even if it does get a bit warm inside. On my last visit, I ordered the steak, which was a bit tough, but the rice and fried plantains were fantastic. I used to visit regularly when I was stationed at FT Hood three years ago, and I'm glad to see the food is still as delicious as I remember. I just wish they were open on weekends!
Bobby B's Soul Food Kitchen & More

I read the reviews and drove 4-1/2 hours out of my way to check out Bobby B's Soul Food Kitchen & More in Killeen, and let me tell you, it was completely worth it! The customer service was good, and the food was fantastic. I started with the piping hot chicken wings, which are my absolute favorite. They were cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was delicious, and the yams were hitting all the right notes. Even the banana pudding, despite being slightly frozen in the middle, was excellent. Everything tasted incredible and lived up to the five-star reviews. It was great to support such a good local business. On a visit with my husband, I tried the catfish with collard greens and mashed potatoes, and he went for the BBQ ribs with mac and cheese. The catfish was perfectly seasoned, and the greens were just right. My husband couldn't stop raving about the ribs that literally fell off the bone. Finding a great soul food place like Bobby B's feels like a blessing. The quality and taste remind me of the best soul food I've had since Chicago. It was truly worth every penny, and I highly recommend checking them out. I promise they won't disappoint. Thank you, Bobby B's, for an unforgettable meal!

BEST SERVICE!! Galaxy B&G for breakfast in Killeen is incredible! The food was so fresh and delicious, and the portions were enormous. For the five of us, it was only $60, which is a fantastic deal considering what my husband and I usually spend when we eat out. I can't wait to come back! It's such an awesome place. I've even ridden three hours from Dallas just to enjoy their food after trying them twice on previous trips to Killeen. From the moment I walk in, everyone is friendly. There's an alien that greets you at the door, which adds a fun touch to the experience. The place is filled with tons of Star Wars memorabilia, and while they're for sale, they're priced at current market rates, so be cautious if you're browsing! The burgers are a good size, cooked to order, and there are lots of options to choose from. I also love the atmosphere; it brings back memories of Star Wars movies over the decades. There's even a chance to play Star Wars arcade games, which feels so nostalgic, even though they can freeze up sometimes. The food is great, and the service is commendable. The team there is attentive, always ready with refills on soft drinks. Overall, it's a 10 out of 10 for me. Thank you to the cooks, servers, and owners for making each visit enjoyable. The vibe is wonderful, and it's a cool place to hang out with friends. They have a pretty large menu, and everything looks good. I tried the Galactic Madness and the Outer Rim, and both were delicious. The fries are nicely seasoned with salt and pepper, and the onion rings were surprisingly good. I'd definitely come back for their breakfast and the endless cereal bar. With retro arcade games and collectibles for sale, it's a unique spot with great value for the food.

Bite the Bagel in Killeen is fantastic for breakfast! I've been a regular at this location and the Harker Heights one for years. While I don't visit as often lately, their Lox on an everything bagel remains my favorite choice. The customer service is consistently welcoming, and even during busy times, they're impressively fast. The atmosphere is laid-back, with table games adding a fun touch. The bagels and coffee are amazing, and I've even tried their pizza, which is also delicious. The owner and staff are friendly, making every visit a pleasure. The food is always fresh and tasty, whether dining in or picking up. For quicker pick-ups, calling ahead is helpful since everything is made to order. Bite the Bagel is definitely my favorite breakfast spot!
The Waffle Den

During my visit to The Waffle Den for breakfast in Killeen, I was thoroughly impressed. The customer service was exceptional, with the staff being both professional and friendly. They patiently answered all my questions as it was my first visit. The food was incredible; I had a cinnamon waffle topped with whipped cream and pecans, plus a side of wings. The waffle had a perfect thickness and great flavor, retaining its texture even after some time in the car, while the wings were fresh and tasty. The drive-thru service was efficient, and the food was hot and fresh when brought to my car. The gentleman who delivered the order made sure everything was correct and visually appealing. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations, and both my family and I are looking forward to returning. I highly recommend The Waffle Den for an amazing breakfast experience.

We were initially headed to a German bakery in Harker Heights when a quick Google search led us to Chic French Bakery Cafe, thanks to a compelling video of their pastry case. My husband decided we should change our plans and try it out. It was a Monday afternoon, so we weren’t expecting a full case, but were pleasantly surprised by the variety available. We ended up buying a selection, including Pain Au Chocolat, Chocolate Almond Creme, a Fruit Tart, a Strawberry Tart, and a Blueberry Pecan Tart. Each pastry was sensational in its own way, with a delightful balance of lightness and sweetness that wasn’t overwhelming. The Chocolate Almond Creme Croissant stood out with its almond paste coating and a delightful filling of custard and dark chocolate, making for a perfect balance of flavors and textures. As for the tarts, they were everything we expected—adorable, neat, and presented well. While they might not have been groundbreaking, they hit all the right notes for those familiar with tarts. Chic French Bakery Cafe is definitely a place to return to, especially in hopes of trying their macaroons and cheesecakes in the future. I did wish they offered more non-coffee drink options, but the pastries more than made up for it. The Pain Au Chocolat was generously sized, flaky, and delicious. Dining in was a lovely experience, with Gabriella providing exceptional service. I’m glad we discovered this place and will certainly be back to indulge in their fresh, tasty offerings again.
Chick-fil-A

I had a great experience at Chick-fil-A in Killeen during breakfast. Using the mobile-order side of the line was super convenient since I had already placed my order. All I had to do was scan the QR code at the sign, and the instructions on the app were clear. One of my favorite things about Chick-fil-A right now is their game where you can win free food, desserts, or drinks. So far, I've scored some free chicken nuggets and a brownie—check my receipt for proof! When it comes to my usual order, I often go for the cobb salad and an Oreo milkshake. They're consistently good. This time, I went through the drive-thru, which had three people outside, and even though I got skipped once, everything went smoothly. I did notice one of my twelve counts only had nine nuggets, but it wasn't a big deal for me. For curbside pickup, I ordered the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuit sandwich, and my son got the Chick-n-Minis and hash browns. Everything was hot and ready on time. The coffee was also hot and fresh, just the way I like it. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient as always. I tried their chicken noodle soup for the first time, and it was hot and tasty. Overall, I left completely satisfied with my visit.
Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant

I came to Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant for brunch and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. I ordered the Full House meal, and everything was fantastic, especially the sauce—it was great! The portions are generous and definitely worth the price. The service was top-notch too. The strawberry cake was a highlight, perfectly sweetened and incredibly moist. It does take a little time since everything is cooked fresh, so if you're in a hurry, ordering ahead might be a good idea. I can’t wait to try more items from the menu. From the waffles and crispy fried chicken to the wings and catfish, everything was so good with no exaggeration. The catfish was hands down the best I've ever had! I took the strawberry shortcake to go, and it barely made it out of the parking lot because it was so delicious. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more dishes. Run here now!
Jimmy's Egg

This was our first visit to Jimmy's Egg in Killeen, and it definitely won't be our last. Our server, JJ, was excellent—efficient, friendly, and professional, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The food was awesome, and everything deserves kudos. The guacamole, in particular, was better than most Mexican restaurants I've been to! Every item we tried was top quality, and the value of the meal was perfect. You get a good amount of excellent food for a fair price. I encourage everyone to try Jimmy's Egg. The caramel iced coffee was a standout, being the best part of the meal. We ordered the "Almost Healthy Skillet," although the home fries could have used a bit more seasoning. Despite that, the whole experience was positive. I also tried the biscuit and gravy omelette, which was real good, with sausage, ham, bacon, onions, and peppers. The staff and service were great throughout our visit. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area looking for a satisfying breakfast.
Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory

David Williamson
I visited Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory in Killeen for breakfast on a Friday afternoon around 4:30pm and had a great experience. The drive-through was smooth with no line, and even though I was asked to park, my food came out quickly. We always go for the fajita party tray, and while the meat isn't grilled as much as it used to be, it's still quite good. The grilled jalapeños are a standout for me, perfectly spicy with a nice char. I appreciate how accommodating they are with my requests to pack cold sides separately, keeping the avocado and lettuce fresh. The leftovers are a treat, as I enjoy browning the meat more and the rice becomes fluffier when reheated. The tortillas do need a quick check because the bagging can sometimes create too much moisture, but I've always found them fresh. Their staff is consistently friendly, and the speed of service is impressive. The condiments are always fresh and well-stocked, and the restaurant is clean. Although there have been some hiccups with order accuracy recently, and a few items could be improved, overall, I have a positive view of Rosa's Café. It's a pleasure visiting, and I've never faced any stomach issues from eating here.
Henderson's Family Restaurant

Henderson's Family Restaurant is a fantastic place for breakfast in Killeen. The country-style food and awesome service make it a must-visit. The breakfast options are above average, and my liver and onions with eggs over medium were cooked to perfection. Andy, my server, provided incredible service; he was friendly, attentive, and made me feel so welcome right from the start. It's a small, local diner, perfect for those who appreciate no-frills meals and a warm atmosphere. The Henderson chicken meal with gravy was tasty, and the sweet tea is one of the best I've ever had. While it's not the fanciest or the fastest, it's the kind of place where you feel like family. I'd pick Henderson's over chain restaurants like Denny's or iHop any day. Location: It's conveniently located in Downtown Killeen with ample parking. Service: Outstanding, thanks to Andy's exceptional attention. Price: Reasonable, with meals ranging from $10-20. Food: Good, simple homemade-style cooking that feels like southern comfort.

I had a great time at Backporch Drafthouse in Killeen for breakfast with my family. The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere with a bar setting and a separate dining area. It's a spacious place with plenty of seating and TVs, making it perfect for catching a game while enjoying a meal. Our breakfast was delicious and served hot and fresh. We started with the fried mushrooms and crispy fried pickles, both served with a tasty buttermilk ranch. For the main dishes, we had the chicken fried steak & eggs and the Big Daddy burger. The chicken fried steak was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the sausage gravy and a buttery toasted biscuit that was fresh and warm. The Big Daddy burger was a hit, with its brioche bun, Route 66 style patties, and secret sauce making for a satisfying bite. The waitstaff were friendly and efficient, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, it was a good meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We’ll be back for sure. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with good food and a warm atmosphere, Backporch Drafthouse is definitely worth a visit.
IHOP

I had a wonderful breakfast at IHOP in Killeen. My pesto veggie eggs benedict was perfect—beautifully presented and delicious! I highly recommend asking super server Jennifer for her special version of the vanilla cold brew coffee. It was amazing! This visit was an excellent dining experience. I ordered the breakfast sampler, and my wife chose the rise-and-shine breakfast. They were your solid, everyday meals, but that's actually good, considering the food quality usually isn't IHOP's strongest point. Surprisingly, my wife's multigrain toast was outstanding, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and cheery, which added to the experience. Sometimes, IHOP gets a reputation for being just average, but this meal was better than expected and a pleasant surprise. Even though there was a cash-only sign when we arrived and we had to make a quick trip to the bank next door, the staff more than made up for it. The booth we were seated at had a picture with "smiles guaranteed," and they sure delivered. Our server, Cherella, was fantastic and one of the best I've had in a long time. The portions were generous and delicious, and we even had to take some to go. My best friend and I make it a point to visit once a week because the food and staff are consistently amazing. It's a comfortable place where we can catch up and enjoy good food without feeling rushed.
