The baristas really know their stuff; the lattes are perfectly crafted without a hint of scorched milk, which I often find elsewhere. Their attention to detail is apparent in every mug they serve. The food options are just as impressive. We tried the chicken salad croissant and it was delicious. The strawberry banana smoothie was the best we've ever tasted, and we've had plenty of smoothies! The Medium Roast Coffee stood out as better than any chain, especially with the added bonus of free refills. Service was top-notch thanks to the super friendly staff who made us feel like family, something we really appreciate as small business owners ourselves. This cafe, conveniently located opposite the Graduate Hotel, is perfect whether you're a campus student or just passing through. Don't miss out on the RipTide, my new favorite drink. Everything we ordered was excellent. The menu offers a wide variety of home-cooked goodness. I also tried the chicken and dumplings with fried okra and potato salad, which were fantastic. My friend was impressed with the burger and fries, calling it one of the best. The chicken fried steak special was a highlight, especially since it's hard to find good country fried steak in the area. The mashed potatoes were flavorful, with lumps and skins proving they weren't from a box. The cream gravy even had pieces of sausage. Service was fast and attentive despite the busy lunch crowd. The coffee was surprisingly great, and I didn't need cream or sugar, which is a rare find in diners. The fries were delicious as long as they were hot. My wife and son, along with his wife, enjoyed their meals too, with my son branching out to try new foods. We were on vacation, so we might not have the chance to return, but I highly recommend stopping by. It was our first time eating there, and we were so pleased with the food and staff. The service was exceptional, which is rare these days. My mom chose Farmacy for her birthday lunch and had the chicken tacos, which she thought could use a bit more seasoning. I went for the Strawberry and Pecan Salad with salmon, and it was fantastic! The salmon was cooked to perfection. The staff surprised us with a dessert on the house for my mom's birthday, and the Blueberry Bread Pudding with Lemon Glaze & Ice Cream was huge and delicious. The meatloaf was moist and flavorful, albeit lacking a bit of the crispy top I'm used to, but I understand if that’s not the style they’re going for. Our server was sweet and wonderful, offering great recommendations. I ordered the Chicken with French fries, and it was cooked perfectly without any grease—very clean and tasty. For dessert, the banana pudding hit all the right notes; it was made just as banana pudding should be. I loved the unlimited sweet tea, and the entire experience from start to finish was exceptional. The staff was incredibly kind, remade the order swiftly, and even provided small coupons for our next visit. I couldn't resist digging into the bacon before getting home because it smelled so good, and the whole experience brightened my day with its excellent customer service and tasty food. A special shoutout to our waitress, Pam, who was the highlight of the visit. Despite being busy, she managed to serve everyone with a smile and an amazing attitude, ensuring we felt well taken care of. Do yourselves a favor and request Pam when you visit! The Farmhouse Skillet was served with two eggs, potatoes, bacon, roasted red peppers, a little onion, and cheese, all seasoned to perfection. It was such a treat to have a pot of hot coffee right at the table. The seating was comfortable and not overcrowded, making for a pleasant dining environment. The cozy atmosphere was enhanced by a lit fireplace, which was perfect for the chilly day. Our waitress was friendly, got our orders right, and the food arrived quickly. The store was packed with Fall and Christmas items and the usual goodies. The location is super convenient, right off I-75 north of Knoxville, and the bathrooms were clean. I’ve always been impressed with Cracker Barrel's consistency, and this visit was no different. I indulged in the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes, which were fluffy and flavorful, with just the right amount of strawberries. The eggs and crispy bacon were also spot-on. Whether I’m in North Carolina or elsewhere, Cracker Barrel always satisfies. I originally planned to go to another restaurant but ended up at Cracker Barrel after a rude encounter elsewhere. Kaylee, our server, was fantastic, providing the best service I’ve had here in a while. I tried the new cinnamon swirl French toast and DIY hot chocolate, and they were both delicious. Despite some past visits being hit or miss, this experience was definitely a hit. I'm a fan of their food and service, and I would definitely stop here again. Highly recommend!
