Five Mile Eatery in Lafayette is a fantastic spot for breakfast. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. They patiently answered my questions about their dishes and sweet treats, which was really appreciated. I decided to try the Five Mile Breakfast along with a couple of other dishes, and each one was absolutely delicious. The iced Americano I ordered was refreshing and perfect. The place itself is clean and well-organized, making for a pleasant dining experience. I was so impressed that I went back to try the co-op burger, and it was the best burger I've ever had! Each ingredient was perfect, creating something truly special. I also love the vibe and service here. The eatery takes real care in sourcing their ingredients, partnering with local farmers and focusing on sustainability. I've been a fan of Great Harvest Bread Co.'s cookies for a while, but today was my first time visiting the store for breakfast with my mom, and it was an incredible experience. We sampled a variety of bakery items, and every single one was fantastic—definitely a 10/10! I have to give a special shout-out to the cashier, Ebony. She was remarkably kind, attentive, and patient with us, even though we were quite indecisive. Ebony went above and beyond by running out to the parking lot to return some items we forgot on the counter, which was so appreciated. Plus, she crafted me the best latte I've ever had in my life, and as someone who used to work at a coffee shop, that's saying something! Her service truly made our visit memorable. Great Harvest is my go-to spot when I want delightful carbs, especially their king cake, which is a must-try. It's a flavorful experience that will make your taste buds celebrate. The place has a great selection of bread and desserts, with bayou bars being a standout. Though the bread pudding can be hit or miss, the service is consistently excellent. It's one of the best places in town, and everything is made fresh to order. Highly recommended!

Scratch Farm Kitchen is hands down THE place to go for real, fresh food. The flavor combinations are nothing short of impressive, making each bite a delightful experience. My husband and I stumbled upon this gem while passing through Lafayette, and we couldn't be happier. From the moment we walked in, Ben's warm welcome set the tone for our visit. He was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also incredibly helpful in guiding us through our first time there. We went for the breakfast burritos with brisket and cherry hot sauce, paired with a boozy lavender lemonade. It was an easy decision to take home some lemonade and hot sauce before we even finished eating! The only regret? Not being able to try more of the menu since we both ordered the same dish. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of creativity and coziness, with Ben's hand-painted murals adding a special touch. I love the repurposed furniture and items like salt shakers and coffee cups, which gave me a comforting, nostalgic feeling with an upbeat, modern twist. Despite a bit of a wait to order, it gave us time to fully appreciate the menu and ambiance. The burger salad and Tomato Peachy bisque were spot on, and my friend's Scratch burger was just as impressive. It may be on the pricier side, but the quality speaks for itself. I also indulged in a hot Oak milk Latte, which did not disappoint. The place was bustling, especially with a line out the door on a Saturday morning, but it was clear that everything was made fresh to order. The knowledgeable staff and their commitment to seasonal, farm-to-table offerings truly stood out. Portions were reasonable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Despite the wait, the vibe and quality make it worth coming back. This place really knows how to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

From the moment we walked into Hub City Diner, I felt welcomed despite how busy it was. The atmosphere was cool, and it only took us about 15 minutes to get seated, even with the crowd. The staff’s friendliness really stood out, and that made the whole experience even better. Every dish seemed like it was made with love, reminiscent of the comforting taste of home-cooked meals. I tried the Reuben, and it was the best I've had, hands down—no exaggeration! My family felt the same way about their dishes. Our waitress, B, was fantastic, providing great service and adding to the positive vibe of the place. The food was served quickly, which I appreciated. On the side, I tried the Blue Plate special with fried shrimp, curly Q's, and coleslaw, along with a cup of the shrimp and artichoke soup of the day. While not every aspect wowed me, it was still good enough that I plan to return to explore more of their menu. The prices were reasonable, and the overall cleanliness and organization of the diner were noticeable. I should mention that parking is limited, so it’s best to arrive early. Also, keep in mind they stop serving breakfast at a certain time. As we left, we were thanked, which was a nice touch to what was already a pleasant visit. If you find yourself in Lafayette, Hub City Diner is definitely worth a stop. You’ll be well taken care of by Mark and the team. Enjoy!

While in Lafayette for work, I stumbled upon Parish Biscuit Company as we were initially heading to Antoni's. Seeing others rave about their meals intrigued us enough to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. The inside of the place is super cute, though the exterior could use a bit of an update to match its inviting interior vibe. At first glance, we mistook it for an office, but hearing the positive chatter made us turn back. Once inside, you're greeted with a long walkway to order from, and the menu offers so many tempting options. I enjoyed my meal so much the first time that we returned the next day. Our initial visit on a quiet Friday afternoon was perfect, with a relaxed atmosphere. However, our Saturday brunch visit was bustling with activity. Despite the chaos, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The beignets were fluffy and sweet, and my brisket biscuit was a delightful mix of flavors. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my go-to spot. The food is excellent, with a wide array of choices. The service stood out for being friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. I also tried the crawfish cornbread, which was tasty, though I wished for a bit more etouffee "gravy" halfway through. Overall, the atmosphere is lovely, and I'm looking forward to returning. Parish Biscuit Company is definitely worth a visit when in Lafayette.

I stopped by Jason's Deli for breakfast in Lafayette, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Their salad bar is truly a standout for anyone looking for healthy options in town. It's rare to find such a wide variety of fresh toppings, and the unlimited salad deal is definitely a win. While I'm not a fan of their sandwiches or the main menu, the salad bar makes up for it in a big way. On this visit, I decided to try their breakfast, which I didn't even know they offered. I ordered through their app and opted for a veggie wrap. The wrap was packed with fresh ingredients, and the flavors were spot on. Everything tasted super fresh, and it left me eager to explore more of their menu. When I arrived, I noticed the doors were locked since they seemed to be only offering curbside service—a detail that wasn't clear on the app. Despite this minor hiccup, the experience was positive. The staff was helpful, and I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, who was accommodating and attentive to our special order. The cleanliness of the place was also noteworthy. Overall, I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for fresh and healthy meal options. I'm definitely planning to return to try more of what they have to offer.

I can't get enough of Viva La Waffle for breakfast in Lafayette! The concept of waffle sandwiches is so unique, and I was blown away by the Hot Hot sandwich—literally spicy and steaming hot! The nana Nutella was delicious, though I think it would be even better served warm. The place is clean, with plenty of staff, and they serve Reve coffee, which is a nice touch. While I've had some issues with the waffles being soggy and cold during dinner visits, the breakfast experience was fantastic. The Rosceaux was amazing, and I'm excited to try other combinations. The breakfast combo is $13, and the portion is more than enough. The variety of flavors keeps me coming back. The half sizes are a perfect option and the waffle fries are incredible, easily rivaling those from other popular places. Service is always quick, and the staff is friendly. Despite some inconsistencies, when Viva La Waffle is good, it's great. I'm hopeful for some quality control improvements, but overall, I'm a loyal fan now. Kudos to the owner, management, and staff for creating such a delightful spot!

Visiting the WFM Coffee Bar for breakfast in Lafayette was a truly positive experience. The employees were genuinely happy to see me and eager to help in any way they could, making it a very welcoming visit. The store was well stocked and efficiently managed, with fresh and delicious fruits that really stood out. Though slightly more expensive than other places, I found the quality worth it, especially since all meats are grass-fed and sourced from a Texas ranch. I love Texas beef, so knowing it comes from there is a huge plus. For anyone who enjoys healthy meals, this market is fantastic. There are plenty of organic fruits, a variety of quality meats, and lots of other healthy products. They even have pizza and salads for those looking to eat right away or take out. While some items are priced higher than average supermarkets, the housekeeping standards and overall organization of the market are top-notch. I've already visited twice for an Amazon return and each time, the store impressed me with its beautiful and well-stocked layout. The only downside was the rude and unpleasant employee at the Amazon kiosk, which was in stark contrast to the welcoming store staff. I found this difference in attitude quite off-putting and it made me question whether those at the kiosk are Amazon or WFM employees. Despite this, my overall experience was great, and I would definitely recommend this place to friends. It's also worth noting that they offer numerous vegan and vegetarian options, making it a versatile spot for different dietary preferences.

Service is impeccable; I recall PJ at the downtown location always offering top-notch service. Both locations have a fantastic atmosphere that shouldn't be missed, especially Justin's creations. Celebrating a birthday there was a treat, and the vibe was just right. I indulged in four rounds of The Grand Mimosa, perfectly mixed with Grand Marnier. The breakfast sandwich wrapped up with a side of potatoes was absolutely 10/10. The restaurant has a welcoming aroma that makes your mouth water as soon as you step in. The staff are friendly and efficient, making sure our coffee cups were never empty and guiding us through the menu. The boudin biscuits are a must-try! Visiting this location for the first time, I was impressed with the extra space and better parking compared to the downtown spot. I tried the Breesus boudin biscuits with potatoes, while my friend enjoyed the crab cake benedict with potatoes—both were fantastic! And the “free 2 mimosas to medical personnel” offer during weekdays is a wonderful touch. If you're eligible, make sure to visit during those hours for a little extra treat.

It's a great spot with the best coffee in town, and the drive-thru is convenient on my way to work. Inside, the atmosphere is perfect for reading, and the beignets are really good! It's fantastic to support a Louisiana product. However, during a weekend visit with a friend, we witnessed an incident with another customer behaving inappropriately. We alerted the staff and the police arrived, which was a relief. But I was confused when the owner went to the police station instead of addressing the issue at the shop. Afterward, no one from PJ's checked on us or provided updates on the situation. From what I understand, similar incidents have happened before. While the coffee is good, I'm hesitant to recommend this place on quieter weekends. They need to improve their safety measures. On a positive note, I had an amazing experience with the 'Secret Santa' drink. The staff was friendly and made my day better!

The atmosphere was charming and cozy, with a clean space that's perfect for a relaxing meal. The food and desserts were incredibly fresh, and my meal came out quickly. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot to bring the kids after school for a healthy meal. If you're a family with kids on the spectrum, this location is ideal. The environment is kid-friendly, with dimmer lighting and not too much noise, catering to different needs. La Madeleine offers a unique breakfast experience compared to typical fast food. The bread isn't self-serve; you need to ask for it, but that's not an issue. I enjoyed the creme brulee and avocado toast the most. Although the line can be slow and the prices are a bit higher, it’s worth it if you're looking for something different. For breakfast, I ordered a custom-made omelet with cheddar, ham, tomatoes, and spinach, which came with a croissant and blackberry rhubarb. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a place I'll definitely return to for breakfast and brunch.

Mel's Diner is a fantastic little place to grab breakfast in Lafayette. I stopped in for a quick meal and ordered sausage and eggs. The food came out quickly and tasted just right. The waitress was super nice and made sure our drinks were always full. The decor has a charming, nostalgic feel, and the place is spotless. I can't recommend it enough. I ended up going back for breakfast three days in a row, and each time was just as great. The atmosphere is welcoming, it's a cute spot, and the service is impeccable. Plus, they make one of the best grilled chicken sandwiches I've had in Lafayette, though there are better burgers elsewhere in town. I'm planning to bring my friends here for one of our brunch outings. I can't believe I've lived nearby my whole life and never dined here before—I've been missing out. Mel's Diner is a hidden gem with an excellent menu and outstanding service, all at a great value. It’s a cheerful spot you don’t want to miss. While it can get pretty loud when it’s busy, the food is made exactly to order, and the service is friendly and fast. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

The food at The French Press - Ambassador in Lafayette is consistently amazing. Every visit is a culinary delight, with dishes that are both delicious and memorable. The truffle fries are a standout, and the Cajun Benedict is my all-time favorite—it's like a flavor explosion with every bite.

I went through the drive-thru at PJ's Coffee in Lafayette for breakfast, and it was a great experience. Having visited other locations, I found this one to be just as good. The process was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly. I ordered a medium hot skinny latte with sugar-free vanilla, and it was delicious! I love that PJ's offers sugar-free options.

The service at la Madeleine in Lafayette was top-notch. Mia, who served me, was amazing—definitely request her if you visit. She took the time to explain the menu options and gave great recommendations. Her demeanor was pleasant, polite, and sweet, making the experience even better.

I often pick up breakfast for my parents from Whataburger in Lafayette, and I'm always impressed. Their pancakes are fantastic, and everything else I order is equally great. The staff is consistently nice and polite, always ensuring I have everything I need. This is by far my favorite location in the Acadiana area. The dining area is clean, and the service is both polite and quick. They make hot, tasty burgers that are well-prepared. This location is clearly well-managed, and we'll definitely be stopping here next time we visit family. Coming from Texas, where we eat at Whataburger often, this location stands out. Big, delicious burgers that are as large as a Whopper but more affordable—under $6 in 2024. The only reason I didn't give a full rating is because they occasionally forget to remove pickles as requested. Their menudo is always spot-on and delicious, just like mom used to make, and the barbacoa tacos are incredible. I can't say anything bad about it. Thanks for the delicious food! 👍👍
