Ahadu Coffee

Ahadu Coffee in Lee's Summit is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The macchiato I tried was exceptional, and the Rise & Wake burrito was incredibly tasty. The real highlight is Ahadu himself—warm, friendly, and always ready with a smile. Although finding the place was a bit tricky since it's a coffee truck inside the atrium of a medical office building, the experience was worth it. The coffee is delicious, service is top-notch, and there's plenty of seating with lots of natural light. The owners are generous and attentive, often offering extras like an additional coffee shot. I've been recommending Ahadu Coffee to everyone and can't wait to return. Their home-roasted beans provide a rich flavor, and the savory crêpes are a perfect match. This place is truly a hidden gem, and every detail makes it a must-visit. Five stars without a doubt!

We visited Serenity Cafe in Lee's Summit for the first time and loved every moment of it. The breakfast BLT, biscuits and gravy, and tiramisu cheesecake were all fantastic. I also enjoyed a butterfly lemonade and a caramel coffee, which might have been a macchiato. Everything tasted amazing! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. This is the place to go if you're looking to relax and enjoy some unique drinks. There are so many drink combinations to explore. However, it's not the spot if you're in a hurry—it's meant for those who want to soak in the atmosphere. The layout and vibe are really awesome, and the menu offers plenty of delicious options. I ended up staying for a while, getting some work done, which was enjoyable. Out of the three breakfast items I tried, the French toast surprisingly became my favorite, even though I don't typically enjoy it. I highly recommend the sweet potato cheesecake—it's out of this world with its perfect balance of sweet potato and creamy cheesecake. And if you love coffee, try the Reese's Blended drink; it's my new favorite. I will definitely be coming back to one of my favorite cafes in town!

I had the pleasure of visiting LaMar's Donuts and Coffee in Lee's Summit for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience. The donuts were simply amazing – not too sweet, light, and delicious. The glazed donut was the best I've ever had, soft and light yet still thick and filling. It was a treat to see all the different flavors they had to offer. The cinnamon sugar, chocolate coconut, chocolate sprinkles, and Bavarian cream-filled long John were all fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors! The customer service was outstanding. The staff greeted us with pleasant smiles and helpful attitudes, making the visit even more enjoyable. Despite being busy, they were attentive and efficient, ensuring everyone got what they wanted. It's clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. We have a LaMar's closer to home, but we choose to drive to this one because the donuts and service are just that good. The donuts are even more reasonably priced than other locations, which is a nice bonus. Overall, LaMar's in Lee's Summit offers the best donuts and a top-notch experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! 🍩

I love MY Play Café in Lee's Summit for breakfast, and it has become one of our favorite spots. The staff is always attentive and welcoming, ensuring everything goes smoothly, especially during events like my little one's birthday party. The play area is fantastic for young children, and they keep it clean and well-maintained between parties, which gives me peace of mind. The coffee and food are consistently great, and it's wonderful to relax with a cup while my child plays safely with other kids around their age. The café accommodates allergies with care, making our visits worry-free. My husband and I enjoyed our delicious drinks, and the gluten-free nuggets are a hit with my firstborn. This place offers a nice break for parents, with comfortable seating and the option to bring your own snacks. The play area is appealing, although it might not be perfect for very young kids. It feels more designed for older children, but overall, it's a treasure in the area. I highly recommend it!

Gusto Coffee Shop is a great spot for breakfast in Lee's Summit. The coffee is fantastic, especially the Snickerdoodle latte, which was prepared quickly and tasted amazing. The ambience is really inviting, and there’s plenty of seating available. I decided to try a grilled cheese sandwich as well. Although it took over 20 minutes to arrive, the staff was apologetic about the wait, which I appreciated. Both the coffee and the sandwich were delicious. One thing to note is that the menu is pretty extensive, which can be a bit overwhelming. I recommend speaking with the barista for suggestions, as they guided me to a fantastic drink choice. I also tried the breakfast burrito, which was good, though maybe a bit overpriced at $8. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely consider coming back to try other items on the menu. If you're in the area, it’s worth a stop.

Neighborhood Cafe

Courtney Whitney
As a diner person at heart, finding Neighborhood Cafe less than a mile from my home was a dream come true. I popped in for a quick breakfast and left thoroughly impressed. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, starting with fresh, warm cinnamon rolls that were offered at no charge. The service was nearly perfect, with our waitress ensuring our drinks were always full and bringing extra napkins without us having to ask. I went for the breakfast platter, and every element was delicious – crispy bacon, perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, and hash browns that were incredible. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles, and I have to say, the chicken was light, crunchy, and packed with flavor. Definitely planning to try that next time! The complimentary cinnamon rolls were a hit, with my boyfriend's little sister rating them a 10. My boyfriend thought they were a bit mushy but still good. We also got to try the biscuits and gravy, which lived up to the hostess's recommendation. The bacon was spot-on, and overall, the food was exactly what you'd hope for from a diner – comforting and delicious. The atmosphere was friendly and laid back, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food. I’m already planning my next visit to try out more of the breakfast items and the extensive lunch menu. Two enthusiastic thumbs up from me – and that's all I have! Highly recommend checking it out for a homestyle breakfast experience.
Post Coffee Company

Post Coffee Co is a delightful spot in Lee's Summit for breakfast and coffee. The café offers an impressive range of brews and teas, and their chocolate chip protein balls are hands down the best I've ever had! They have plenty of seating options, both inside and on the patio, which makes it a great place to relax or get some work done. The atmosphere is clean with a minimalist and industrial design, and there's plenty of natural light, which I really like. The staff is friendly and personable, often engaging with customers, and I appreciate their commitment to the environment by allowing reusable mugs. Their drinks are consistently good, and I especially enjoy their chai lattes and matcha. The pastries are also delicious. Although I miss their vegetarian burrito, the vegan burrito with potato and tofu is a nice alternative, especially with the sweet chili sauce or spicy jam. They also have clean bathrooms, which is always a plus. Overall, Post Coffee is a welcoming spot that offers good food, great drinks, and a friendly environment.
Whistle Stop Coffee & Mercantile
227 SE Main St, Lee's Summit

Salinas Ahmeed
Whistle Stop Coffee & Mercantile is a gem for breakfast in Lee's Summit. This cozy spot quickly became my favorite coffee shop. The prices are far more reasonable compared to big names like Starbucks, and the welcoming, homey vibe is unbeatable. I tried the Terminator breakfast sandwich, and it was fantastic—one of the best I've had in a while, with perfectly soft bread. The coffee is always great too. Sadi and Noah provided amazing service, ensuring my order was spot-on with their joyful and accommodating nature. In an era where good customer service is rare, Whistle Stop stands out. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by for breakfast.

I love starting my day with breakfast at Chick-fil-A in Lee's Summit. The vibe is always welcoming, and it's a staple for so many people around here. Whether I'm diving into their amazing chicken tenders with that delicious dipping sauce or just enjoying the friendly atmosphere, it's always a treat. One thing that stands out about this location is how efficient they are, even when there are several cars in the drive-thru. It never takes more than 10 minutes, and my order is always spot on. The staff is super friendly, and as someone who often picks up orders as a DoorDash driver, I can say they're impressively fast. I do have one little gripe about the waffle fries, though. Sometimes they serve smaller pieces, and it would be great if they could consistently serve larger ones. But when I mentioned it to a manager once, she immediately fixed it and brought me a fresh batch that was perfect. Overall, this Chick-fil-A is a great spot. If you don't mind the occasional line, it's definitely worth checking out. And on a nice note, they've even offered a free soft drink while I waited for my order. It's those small touches that make this place special.

Dining at Corner Cafe in Lee's Summit was a fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. This cozy spot serves up Southern-style comfort food that really hits the spot. The chicken fried steak was perfect, with a crispy crust and tender meat. The strawberry pie was unforgettable, with its flaky crust and sweet strawberries. And the cinnamon rolls? Simply divine! We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, and this cafe made it special. The quality of the food and the friendly, fast service from Liz were top-notch. It's an ideal place to catch up with friends and family over hearty, homemade meals. Even though they were a bit short-staffed that night, our server was well-trained and friendly, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I had the roast beef sandwich, one of our kids enjoyed mini corn dogs, the other loved the fun pancakes, and my husband savored the turkey melt. It's a cute place to take a break from the highway and enjoy some comfort food. We're looking forward to coming back more often!

While visiting Lee's Summit from out of town, I had the chance to try The Big Biscuit for breakfast, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots. The pancakes were enormous, fresh, and had a delightful sweetness to them. The portions were big, and all the food was flavorful and made to order, arriving at the table surprisingly fast. The customer service was exceptional, making the experience even more enjoyable. I wish there was a Big Biscuit location in Arizona because I would be a regular customer. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than some other breakfast spots, but the quality and portion sizes are worth it. Be prepared for a wait, typically about 35-45 minutes during peak breakfast or brunch hours, but the food comes out pretty quickly once you order. The "Big" in Big Biscuit is definitely justified by the portion sizes. Although my pancake could have used a bit more time on the griddle, everything else was satisfying and filling. If you're in the area and looking for breakfast, The Big Biscuit is worth the visit. It's the best breakfast spot in the metro, and while there's often a wait for a table, the great service and delicious food make it worthwhile.

Visiting LaMar's Donuts and Coffee in Lee's Summit is always a pleasure for breakfast. Every morning I pop in, I see the same dedicated guy behind the counter. It's rare to find someone who not only shows up early but also maintains such a cheerful and kind demeanor, even when I'm indecisive. His dedication is motivational, and it speaks volumes about how well he's treated by the business. Businesses succeed when they appreciate and support their employees, and it's clear that he's valued. I think it's important to teach the younger generation how essential it is to appreciate good employees, and LaMar's is a great local example of community building and generational wealth in action. This place influences others positively, showing generosity and mindfulness. That guy behind the counter is a big part of this positive atmosphere, and he definitely deserves recognition for his efforts. Besides the amazing staff, the donuts are top-notch. The variety is incredible, with options like cherry, candy-topped, chocolate-covered, and the best sour cream cruller I've ever had. It's a must-stop whenever you're around KCMO. I remember going there with my daughter for a "Donuts with Dad" date before she started kindergarten, and we both loved the variety and the excellent service. Every trip to LaMar's is a delightful experience, thanks to both the delicious donuts and the wonderful people working there. It's worth every visit and word of praise.
Ginger Sue's
20 NE Sycamore St, Lee's Summit

Before visiting Ginger Sue's for breakfast in Lee's Summit, I pictured it as an old-school diner with gingham and oldies playing in the background. To my surprise, it was refreshingly modern with a novelty menu featuring smoothies and goat cheese, and a simple, decor-free interior. The portions were huge, and the staff was incredibly friendly. During my visit, I tried the Farmer's omelette with goat cheese and a wheat germ pancake; both were excellent, and I had enough leftovers for lunch. It was my first time there, and I will definitely return. My mother and I had a wonderful brunch. I enjoyed a banana peanut butter pancake, and she had an apple cinnamon pancake with extra apple cinnamon on the side, plus a side of bacon we split. Ginger Sue's is my go-to breakfast spot in town. While it's not perfect, where else is? The pancakes are great, the full-service coffee bar is a plus, and the potatoes and meat are always cooked well. They had a tough time during COVID, but things are solid again. I also tried the Salmon Benedict, while my partner had the classic breakfast. Having never had a Benedict before, I found it to be one of the tastiest breakfasts I've had. The flavors paired so well that I nearly happy cried. The only change I’d make would be swapping the English muffins for their soft, buttery biscuits, which are some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere might not stand out, but the abundance of windows allowing natural light is delightful. Ginger Sue's is a great place for a hearty and satisfying breakfast.

Breakfast & Lunch Lovers' in Lee's Summit has been a staple in my dining experiences, and despite a recent hiccup, I still hold this place in high regard. When things are running smoothly, the service is attentive, and the food is consistently delicious. Their omelets are always hot and fresh, and the bread slices are perfectly thick and satisfying. While my latest visit was not up to their usual standard—with longer waits and a mix-up in orders—I've seen firsthand how well they operate when fully staffed with experienced employees. Everyone can have an off day, and I trust that this was one of those rare moments. The staff was apologetic, and I appreciate their efforts to make things right. The restaurant's atmosphere is usually welcoming, and the food quality speaks for itself. I'm hopeful that my next visit will reflect the high standards I've come to love about this place. Despite the recent experience, I look forward to returning and enjoying the great meals and friendly environment that Breakfast & Lunch Lovers' typically offers.

First Watch in Lee's Summit is now my go-to spot for breakfast, all thanks to an unforgettable Mother's Day brunch with my son. The food was amazing and delicious, making it my second visit here, and it certainly won’t be my last. We were lucky not to wait long because my son called ahead, which I highly recommend, especially since it gets crowded after 10 am. Valerie, our server, made the experience even better with her friendly and speedy service. The atmosphere is busy but wholesome, adding to the charm of the place. The food is consistently good, even if it can be a tad salty at times. Overall, First Watch offers a delightful breakfast experience, and I plan on visiting often to enjoy more of their delicious dishes.

I had a great breakfast experience at Waffle House in Lee's Summit on Douglas Rd. The food was delicious and served fresh and hot. The waitress and cooks were professional and friendly, making the atmosphere welcoming and pleasant. Though there were a few hiccups, like my waffle arriving late and missing toppings on the hashbrowns, the overall experience was positive. The hashbrowns were particularly tasty, and the meal was reasonably priced. The staff's warmth and efficiency made up for any small oversights, and I appreciate the diverse and inviting environment that Waffle House provides. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Yeah, this place is a must-eat in Lee's Summit. Shack Breakfast & Lunch in Summit Fair shopping center is a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The fun atmosphere and awesome menu make it the perfect place to meet friends or even catch a game on Sunday. I love that they let you sign or write on the walls and bars—it adds a unique touch. If you're a coffee fan, you're in for a treat. The coffee is fantastic, and they have these fun mugs with quirky sayings. I even got my own coffee pot so I could refill as much as I wanted. For breakfast, I had the "This is why the French Hate us"—sausage on a croissant with gravy and hashbrowns. It was delicious! The food quality is well worth the slightly higher price compared to typical breakfast spots. The menu is eclectic with great options for both breakfast and lunch, plus some boozy treats. The service was top-notch, and the environment is super cute and welcoming. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes and a boozy shake! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great flavor and a memorable dining experience.

I decided to give Panera Bread in Lee's Summit another try for breakfast, and I'm so glad I did. After a long hiatus, my experience was pleasantly surprising. The online ordering for pickup was seamless, and everything was ready when we arrived. The food was delicious and fresh, which really stood out. While there was a mix-up with our sandwiches, the staff quickly addressed it when we mentioned it. The cinnamon roll with egg and cheese was a delightful combination, even though it wasn't exactly what I expected. Overall, the visit renewed my appreciation for Panera’s quality offerings, and I look forward to returning.

When you visit the Waffle House in Lee's Summit, you're in for a truly satisfying breakfast experience. The food here is consistently excellent, delivering solid, comforting breakfast fare that hits the spot every time. Despite being busy and bustling with activity, the restaurant maintains a lively atmosphere that's part of the charm. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, making sure we got our food quickly even during the lunchtime rush. Our waitress was especially nice and helpful, which added to the positive vibe. We had a really good breakfast, and the value for money was impressive with our meal costing just $20. While the place was a bit crowded and chaotic, with limited seating and elbow room, it didn't detract from the overall experience. This is definitely a spot I'd recommend for a great breakfast with friends.

I was pleasantly surprised to come across a Perkins in Lee’s Summit, especially since the one back home closed years ago. Walking in, I felt a bit nostalgic. The breakfast experience was delightful from beginning to end. The fast and friendly service made me feel right at home, and I loved that they still bring a pot of coffee to your table—just like I remembered! The staff was attentive, and their genuine warmth added to the pleasant atmosphere. My breakfast was delicious; the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, the ham was flavorful, and the potatoes had just the right seasoning. It was everything I hoped for and more. And let's not forget the pies. You cannot go wrong with treating yourself to a slice. They're as good as ever, and they alone would be reason enough to visit. Overall, a fantastic breakfast spot with that classic Perkins charm. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!
