I visited Big Bad Breakfast at Brownsboro Crossing and had a generally positive experience. The location is charming, as it's set in the Von Allmen dairy farmhouse, which adds a unique touch to the atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the creator of this chain is from New Orleans, and it definitely shows in the food's authentic flavor profile. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one had a delightful New Orleans flair. The homemade raspberry jam was a standout, and we even took some home with us. The menu offers plenty of options at a reasonable price, and the portion sizes were satisfying. While the coffee was on the smaller side, the overall dining experience was enjoyable. Our server was attentive and kind, which truly enhanced our visit. The restaurant is a great spot for families and friends to gather, whether it's a weekday or a weekend brunch. Although I did notice some room for improvement in the restrooms, it's clear that they were actively being maintained during our visit. Overall, I'd recommend giving this place a try for its delightful atmosphere and flavorful food.

Service was fantastic for our party of 15 at Wild Eggs! Our waiter did a great job taking all of our orders, and the food came out relatively quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I loved the Carolina Casserole and Grits and would definitely order it again. The restaurant is a great spot for breakfast. It was my 15-year-old's first time there, and she loved it. Just a heads up: the sauce on the chicken can be really spicy, so get it on the side unless you love the heat. My daughter had the chicken and waffle, and while the sauce was spicy, it was also very yummy. The only hiccup was waiting over 10 minutes after being seated before someone came to our table, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. But once our server arrived, she was very nice and prompt. The coffee was hot and good, and my Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict was delicious. My husband got their burger and noted it was a bit greasy, though he enjoyed its flavor and loved the well-seasoned fries. Overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious, and our server, Kaitlyn, was exceptional. She made us feel welcome and enhanced our brunch experience. I would have given Wild Eggs a 4-star rating, but Kaitlyn's excellent service bumped it up to a 5-star review. It's definitely a great place to meet up with friends for breakfast or brunch.

First Watch in Louisville is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The place is very clean, and the service is great. While I noticed an overpowering lemon taste in the Hollandaise sauce, the rest of the food was really good. The portions on the quinoa bowl seemed a bit smaller than I remember, but overall, it's a solid choice for a healthy brunch. The atmosphere is inviting, and the waitress was very nice. The biscuits and turkey sausage gravy are truly amazing! My wife and I, both skilled cooks, rarely rate a dining establishment this high. The quality and presentation of the food were impressive, and I highly recommend trying it out if you haven't yet. I'm looking forward to going back and exploring more options on the menu!

Heine Brothers Coffee at Hikes Point is a wonderful spot to support local over the big chain coffee shops like Starbucks. They have a strong presence in the community, which I really appreciate. The place itself has a chilled-out vibe and accommodates various reasons for visiting, whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee or staying to work or relax. The drinks and food are consistently good. On my visit, I asked for a caramel macchiato and, though they didn’t have it, the staff recommended a vanilla caramel latte. It was different but still delicious. The staff is friendly and always willing to offer suggestions, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. One thing to note is that some of the furniture could use an update, as it's a bit worn out. Despite that, the environment is inviting. It's a little more pricey, and there is the tip kiosk to fill out each time, but I find it worth it to support a local business. The coffee used to be exceptional when I first moved to Louisville in 2016 and although there’s been some changes, it's still a good alternative to the standard chain experience. Overall, I appreciate having Heine Brothers as a local option, and I will choose them over Starbucks any day. I'll definitely be coming back.

This was my first time here, and I would certainly come back to try the skillet hash. Everything was great! During a busy Sunday morning, we got seated within 10 minutes. The Million Dollar Bacon is a must-try! They have many healthy options, and the Brisket Skillet Meal was my favorite. You should definitely give this place a go. My wife and I stopped here for breakfast, and the food was top-notch and came out fairly quickly. The place does get very busy, and there was a long wait, but you can wait in your car, and they will text you when your table is ready. Prices were reasonable; for the two of us, we spent about $40, including the tip. This place is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you want something yummy and quick. I ordered the skillet hash—market and a kale tonic. Both tasted fresh and well-cooked. The server was nice and took good care of me and the other guests. Like I said, fast service despite a full parking lot! 10/10 would recommend.

It's refreshing to see such kindness and friendliness, even during the busy weekday mornings. Their positive attitudes have a real impact, making every visit pleasant. The interior is comfortable, offering plenty of space to work or simply relax. It truly feels like a hub of activity where important things are happening, and being part of that is exciting. Though the cheesy scones were just okay and the cinnamon muffin a bit dry, the overall experience here keeps drawing me back. I tried a flight of mimosas, and the pineapple mimosa was a delightful surprise. Our server, Jolene, was fantastic—friendly and attentive to all our needs. The prices were reasonable, and we'll definitely be back. The kids menu was great too, which is a bonus for families. Sarah greeted us with a huge smile, and the all-day breakfast is perfect for lazy Saturdays. The menu had so many tempting options that I even considered ordering lunch. The manager stopped by to check on us, which was a nice touch. From the pricing and portion sizes to the quality of the food and the speed of service, everything was spot on. The owner himself ensured we felt welcome, even treating us to some of his handmade pop tarts—an absolute delight! Despite the 30-minute wait to place our order and another 30 to 40 minutes to receive our food, it was entirely worth it. The portions were generous, and each dish was packed with incredible flavors. We’ve made this spot our regular breakfast haunt and are working our way through their eclectic menu. The shrimp and grits are among the best I’ve ever had, and the Korean short rib sandwich is out of this world. The duck sausage omelet was heavenly! The space itself is cozy and inviting, complemented by an expansive outdoor seating area and a playground, making it a cool place to hang out. You order at the counter, which adds to the casual vibe. Although the chicken in the chicken and waffles was a tad dry for me, it still had a great zing, and other dishes like the hash brown kegs were tasty, even if they weren't exactly my texture preference. For three of us, breakfast came to $75, and though we didn't try the Bloody Marys, they looked fantastic. Overall, this place offers a different and refreshing breakfast experience. If you're in Louisville, do yourself a favor and check them out. Fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and a menu full of creative spins on breakfast classics—10/10 would recommend!

It was heartwarming to see the hiring manager interacting kindly with potential new hires, which speaks volumes about the work environment. The diversity and inclusivity of the place were evident and welcoming, celebrating everything from LGBTQIA+ to Black culture. Although parking is limited, arriving early makes it manageable. The online waitlist was a game-changer, keeping us updated in real-time, and relieving any stress about when we’d be seated. Our drinks were strong, our food was hot and fresh, and I highly recommend this spot. The ambiance was delightful, with smiley customers all around. It's popular for a reason, so a wait for a table might happen, but it's worth it. I had the French toast with fried chicken, which was incredible, and the omelets were also tasty. Whether opting for indoor or covered outdoor seating, the experience was very enjoyable overall. The generous serving sizes and scrumptious food make this the best breakfast I’ve had in the United States. This place is genuinely a home run. Passing through Louisville on a road trip, I spotted a billboard for Dizzy Whizz Drive-In and decided to give it a try. It's a classic burger spot with just the kind of food you'd expect—definitely a good thing in my book! The double cheeseburger was tasty, and the onion rings were super crunchy. My banana shake was a real treat with actual bananas in it, not just flavoring. I chose to dine in at the counter, and while I noticed a few flies buzzing around as the cook prepared the food, it didn’t detract from the experience too much. The breakfast options were a pleasant surprise, particularly the Big Whizzy Breakfast and Hotcakes. The hotcakes were huge and filling—definitely not something you want to pair with another big breakfast item unless you're really hungry. The bacon could've been crisper, but it was still delicious. This place has a vintage charm; it looks like it hasn't had a renovation since the 1950s, but the food hits the spot every time. The prices are fair, and they offer plenty of deals. On another visit, I tried the Super Whizz Burger with chili cheese fries, two double bacon cheeseburger meals with seasoned fries, drinks, and an order of inferno wings. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The chili cheese fries were especially tasty. Be warned—the inferno wings are seriously spicy, leaving my mouth tingling and nose running after just one! For $38, our order was well worth it. If you haven’t been to Dizzy Whizz, give it a shot. The food is consistently good and full of flavor—perfect for anyone looking for a hearty, straightforward meal.

We love Waffle House for breakfast, especially this location in Louisville. It's rare these days to have our order come out exactly right, but this place nailed it. This is hands down the best Waffle House we've ever been to, and we're more than willing to drive the extra 20 miles just to enjoy the service and food they offer. Our food was delicious and came out fast, which was fantastic. The service was decent; despite being short one waitress and with the staff juggling multiple roles, they managed to keep things moving. It's Waffle House, so we know what to expect, and they've got the classic vibe down pat. There was a bit of a hiccup with the head cook being more focused on his clipboard than helping out, which was pretty noticeable, but it doesn't take away from the fact that this place makes us happy whenever we visit. We just wish the staff could be a bit more attentive with drinks. Despite the small staffing issues, it’s always a pleasure to satisfy our cravings here.

I visited Con Huevos! for breakfast and was really impressed with the entire experience. We ordered the Mex-Pert salad, El Chingon, and the crispy churros. The meal was quick and delicious, and the churros were definitely the highlight. They came with two amazing dipping sauces – dulce de leche and chocolate syrup. I'd return just for those churros! On another visit, I tried the breakfast burrito and fresh squeezed orange juice. Both were fantastic, with the burrito packed with a satisfying portion of protein. The service was outstanding. When they ran out of the chilaquile side for my online order, they called to let me know, allowing me to choose a different side. The staff’s attention continued to impress when I got to the restaurant. While the Mex-Pert sandwich was tasty, I did notice a price increase that wasn't updated on the website. However, the quality of the food and service more than made up for it. My 3-year-old loved the mini pancakes and bacon they made for her, and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast sandwich. Overall, I highly recommend Con Huevos! for its great food and attentive service.

Even though it's a "hotel restaurant," it doesn't have that typical hotel vibe—it feels much more unique and welcoming. The food is phenomenal, with gourmet-quality dishes that truly stand out. The lounge area is cozy, and the dinner booths have a cute charm to them. One of the highlights is their extensive bourbon list, which is great for spending an evening there. The wait staff is very nice and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. While it wasn't too busy when we visited in the afternoon, the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. I was impressed by the delicious flavors in my chicken glazed salad and pasta meal. The brisket was a letdown, as it was quite dry and not cooked to perfection, which was surprising given the overall quality of the food. However, the fried pickles were a hit and complemented the meal well. What really made Charr'd stand out was the exceptional service. The staff is friendly and genuine, and the supervisor even stopped by our table to chat. He mentioned the diverse group of people working there, which added a nice personal touch to our visit. The facility itself is beautiful and ready for Derby visitors. Whether you're there for breakfast, lunch, or just drinks, Charr'd Bourbon Kitchen & Lounge is a spot worth visiting.

The restaurant is always clean and welcoming. I've had mixed experiences with the food; some items are hit or miss. The Asiago sausage egg sandwich is a standout for me, and I absolutely love their broccoli and cheese bread bowl. The sandwiches are consistently good too. However, I would advise against using the drive-thru, especially if you order online thinking it will be faster. It’s much better to pick up inside to avoid long waits. The drive-thru line can get pretty long, especially around 9 am, and once you’re in it, there’s no turning back. Overall, it's a nice spot for breakfast and certain menu items really hit the mark for me.
