Sunflower Bakery and Cafe

Sunflower Bakery & Cafe in Meridian is a delightful spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. This cozy café boasts a welcoming atmosphere filled with bright natural light and pleasant sunflower-themed decor. The staff are friendly and efficient, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I started with a breakfast croissant which was deliciously large and flavorful, albeit a bit difficult to eat due to its size—still, that's a minor issue considering how tasty it was. Along with it, I tried a sour cherry turnover and a breve, both of which paired perfectly and left me craving more. Although it isn't a quick grab-and-go type of place, the quality of food definitely makes waiting worthwhile. The furniture is incredibly comfortable, encouraging you to stay longer and soak in the ambiance. While the café can get a little noisy, some sound panels would likely solve that and make the experience even better. The French orange almond cake and iced latte were excellent choices, although the cake was a bit too unique for my taste. On another visit, I couldn't resist trying the salmon toast and almond croissant—both were outstanding. The macarons are a lovely touch, and I took home a coconut coffee one and a pistachio one with a hint of raspberry, both of which were delightful. In summary, Sunflower Bakery & Cafe is a charming gem that I fully recommend. It's a great place to relax, enjoy some quality food, and spend time with friends or family. Looking forward to more visits and trying everything on the menu!

Duck Donuts

Duck Donuts has quickly become a favorite breakfast spot for us, so much so that we chose them to cater our wedding. They went above and beyond to make their donuts both beautiful and delicious. Our guests couldn't stop raving about them, and honestly, the only regret was not ordering more because they were such a hit! I'm not originally from the area, but I noticed Duck Donuts and decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was outstanding. A friendly young man at the counter made me feel welcome and took the time to explain everything about their offerings. His warmth and expertise made the visit even more enjoyable. I love the vibrant and fun atmosphere of the place, especially the quirky rubber duckies scattered around. It adds a playful touch to the experience. The option to see pictures of the donuts was a huge help for someone like me who eats with their eyes first. After some deliberation, we went with the pumpkin chocolate chip donut. It came out warm in the cutest box, with a perfect balance of a crunchy outside and a soft inside. The pumpkin flavor was just right, and the chocolate chips were well-distributed. The prices here are very reasonable, especially compared to some other dessert spots. At $2.50 for a custom donut, it feels like a steal given the quality and satisfaction. I truly wish I lived closer because this would be a regular stop for me. If you're in the area, Duck Donuts is definitely worth a visit. The donuts are the best my family and I have ever had, always fresh, and the service is consistently great. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious treats!

Whoa, where has this place been all my life? I pass by Freedom Bagel Bakery constantly and always loved the name. I’m not really a bagel person… at least until now. I wandered in while waiting for my car at the tire shop nearby. I didn’t realize the shop would be so welcoming! It's more spacious than I thought, super clean, and even has outdoor seating. I was greeted with smiles, and everything on the menu looked so good. I had a hard time deciding but opted for a simple bacon, egg, and cheese on an original bagel. I figured a good bagel shop should do the basics well. The bagel turned out to be more delicious than expected. When I unwrapped it, I actually said, “whoa.” It was hot, fresh, and the bacon and egg were cooked to perfection, with the cheese nice and melty. I’m so glad I decided to stop in. I operate a rental unit across the parking lot and will suggest this place to guests from now on. I may have found our new bagel spot! It's so much better than Blue Sky. The bagel sandwiches were amazing, especially the garlic parmesan one! The staff was friendly and parking was easy. Although seating is limited, it's worth getting it to go if needed. My first time here, and my wife and I both loved it. The Ultimate Meat Trio Bagel is really flavorful, and the freshly squeezed juice was very refreshing. The quality of ingredients and bagel variety surpass other local shops in my opinion. I'd give a 5-star review if my orders didn't go wrong the last few times—missing egg, wrong bagel type, and paid extra for cream cheese that was left off. I gave them extra chances because the food quality is high, but I might not continue if the order issues persist.

Brought my daughter here for a post-doctor treat, and we had a great experience. Kim, who is always super friendly, made my daughter's day by giving her stickers and a coloring book for a job well done. Chick-fil-A is our family's favorite fast food, and this was our first visit to this particular location in Meridian. The drive-thru was efficient and quick, even though the place was packed. The general service and atmosphere were just what you expect from Chick-fil-A—friendly and welcoming. However, I did have to repeat my order a few times at the drive-thru, which was a bit frustrating, and there was a little reluctance when I asked for extra sauces. Our chicken filet was smaller than expected, with more lettuce than chicken. Despite this, the overall experience was positive, thanks to the wonderful attitudes of all the employees I encountered. While not perfect, it was still the best Chick-fil-A in town. Have you ever had a bad experience at a Chick-fil-A? We always receive great service and food quality. No major complaints!

I absolutely love Blue Sky Bagels for breakfast in Meridian. It's a charming local spot that my family and I frequent on Saturday mornings. The bagels are consistently excellent, and my personal favorite is the orange cranberry bagel with honey walnut cream cheese—it's simply amazing. My kids can't get enough of the cinnamon sugar bagels. One of the unique offerings is kombucha on tap, which adds a nice touch to the breakfast experience. I've noticed that the staff can sometimes be a bit brusque, and the restaurant could use some attention to cleanliness. Additionally, it's important to remind the staff not to skimp on the cream cheese, as it can be a bit frustrating when they do. Despite these minor issues, the quality and taste of the bagels keep us coming back. The overall experience is positive, and it remains a favorite breakfast spot for my family.

I've been on a mission to explore all the coffee shops in town, having previously frequented Dutch Bros and Black Rock, but Lucky Perk Coffee in Meridian truly stands out. The drive-thru is a convenient feature, especially when I'm on the go, and my furry friend loves the free dog biscuit they offer. The small location adds to its charm, creating an adorable atmosphere that's both welcoming and cozy. The prices here are reasonable, making it an easy choice for a regular visit. But what really keeps me coming back is the delicious taste of their offerings. The coffee is consistently wonderful, with a great selection of both seasonal and standard options. The pastries and other breakfast items have never disappointed either. The staff is incredibly friendly, contributing to the comfortable vibe of the place. I wish I could spend more time soaking in the warmth of their fireplace and the inviting seating, especially when I'm in need of a quiet spot to read or work. Unfortunately, I had to dash to an appointment at the library, but I know I'll be back for more.

Went for brunch on a weekend at Waffle Love in Meridian and had a great experience. There was no wait time, and it was affordable too. We ordered a mix of savory and sweet dishes, and they were all delicious. The egg sandwich was good, though a bit saucy, and the pumpkin special waffle had an interesting flavor, although it was a tad heavy on cinnamon for my taste. The grilled cheese was my kid's favorite—he even said it was the best ever! The tomato soup tasted like a rich pizza sauce. I tried the breakfast sandwich, which was good, and the chicken sandwich, though it came on a bun instead of a waffle, was still tasty. Both the Red Wonder and the Dulce were very enjoyable, and the croissant waffles are simply amazing. We also had the tartine and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, which didn't disappoint. The service was pleasant, and the place had a cheerful vibe. It's a fantastic spot for brunch, with a great selection of sweet and savory waffles that cater to all tastes. I highly recommend it and can't wait to try more flavors!

The sugar-free options are fantastic, and I always find a new favorite drink thanks to the great recommendations from the staff. I met a friend at Lucky Perk Coffee in Meridian for some catching up, and overall, it was a great experience. The place is much bigger than I expected, with plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere. We were greeted by friendly baristas right away, and the service was quick since there were three people working. My wife enjoyed her French vanilla latte, and I tried the Gold Digger, which was delicious. The staff was nice, but there was a small hiccup with my order. I had a vanilla almond milk latte with extra vanilla and no foam, but it didn't taste quite right to me. It seemed like there wasn't enough vanilla, and the coffee was a bit bitter. When I asked for adjustments, they added more almond milk and vanilla, but it still didn't hit the mark. I was a little surprised they didn't offer to make a new one. Despite this, I still love Lucky Perk for its lively atmosphere and quick service. It's popular, but I always manage to find a table, which is perfect for conversations. The only downside is the parking situation, as I usually have to park across the street. Still, it's worth it to enjoy the welcoming setting. I'll definitely be returning, even if it means a bit of a drive, because Lucky Perk has a charm that's hard to resist.

Sarah's Bagel Cafe in Meridian has become my go-to spot for breakfast. While some may find the prices a bit steep, I truly value the quality and taste of their offerings. The coconut smoothie with boba is a personal favorite, and their jalapeno bagel with cream cheese never disappoints. Even when I made a mistake with my online order, they were accommodating and remade my bagel without extra charge, showing great customer service. I'm not fond of using the online system, but ordering in person has always been a pleasant experience. Despite the occasional hiccup, the team at Sarah's Bagel Cafe has always made sure I leave satisfied.

The atmosphere at Eight Thirty Common in Meridian was fantastic, especially outside with its misters, shaded area, cornhole, and fly deterrents at each table. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff constantly checking in and keeping us updated on our food. I had the pork belly BLT with black pepper aioli, which was delicious, especially with the crunchy sourdough. The pork belly was a tad overcooked, but the house salad and huckleberry lemonade were perfect. I grew up near East Texas and Louisiana, and the shrimp po'boy here is the best I've had in this area. Plus, the bacon Bloody Mary was spot on. It's a great spot for those with food allergies too, as they have a separate fryer for gluten-free items and were very mindful of my dietary restrictions. Our server, Jacob, was incredibly helpful. The menu is full of mouth-watering choices, and the environment is fun whether you're with family or friends. The fish and chips were excellent, and the cheesy tots and meatloaf with roasted garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. The music was a bit loud for easy conversation, but it fit the lively atmosphere of this American bar-style pub. Overall, the hospitality stood out, and we'll definitely be back for more. Thanks to the whole team for a great experience!

One of the highlights is their Happy Hour, which is definitely worth checking out, especially with today's prices. During our visit, we tried a bento bowl for kids and I enjoyed a perfect old fashioned. The service was impeccable, and my tuna was delicious. On our most recent visit, we were thrilled to explore more of the menu. Our server, Val, was incredibly helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and offering excellent recommendations. We tried the ribeye meatball and potstickers appetizers from the happy hour menu, and they were phenomenal. Another time, we went with the sunset sushi roll, macadamia chicken, and a couple of cocktails. The service was spot-on, and the food exceeded our expectations. Our waiter, Cole, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, suggesting dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. Overall, Kona Grill has consistently provided us with great food and excellent service. It's a place we look forward to returning to, knowing that we will have a fantastic dining experience.

While I noticed that some items, like the chicken southwest ranch salad, seemed smaller than expected, the flavors didn't disappoint. The BBQ smoked chicken half sandwich was delicious, even though it could have used a bit more chicken and onions. Despite some hiccups with portion sizes and pricing, the overall atmosphere and tasty options make it a place worth visiting.
