Super delicious brunch at Surrey’s Café & Juice Bar! It was a bit of a walk in the New Orleans heat, but absolutely worth it. Despite the crowd outside, we only waited about 5 minutes. The place is small, quirky, and cute, with all the food looking delightful. The service was prompt and kind. If I lived in New Orleans, I’d be a regular for sure! The shrimp & grits were the best I’ve ever had, and the cheese grits were great too. We also tried the banana fosters French toast, which was very good. We’ll definitely be back! The fresh pressed juice is a little pricey, but very tasty. This was the best food I had during my visit to New Orleans. It was busy on a Monday morning, but service was fast and attentive. I ordered the banana cream French toast with sausage, and the portion was enough to share. It was absolutely delicious. I also had the orange & pineapple juice – the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant is filled with beautiful artwork and cute items for purchase. I’d definitely recommend and return. BEST BRUNCH EVER. This was my choice for my birthday brunch, and it did not disappoint. My only regret was not going back before leaving NOLA. The shrimp and grits, typically something I pass on, were creamy with a sort of BBQ flavor. Plenty of shrimp, too. The bacon was crispy, and the bread was surprisingly soft, perfect for dipping in the sauce. I saw this place recommended on TikTok and had to try it. I also had the pineapple, orange, and mango juice – freshly pressed and delicious. Excellent service, with friendly and helpful staff. My mom had cheese eggs, bacon, and a biscuit, which she loved. I’d recommend this place a thousand times! It’s a great spot whether you’re visiting or live in NOLA and want to try something new for breakfast.

What a delightful surprise on our last day in New Orleans! We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning before driving back home to Birmingham and were greeted by such a sweet person with a genuine smile that immediately put us in a great mood. She seated us right away, and we ordered pretty soon thereafter. Our cappuccinos and food came out fast, and everything was so good! I had the corn cakes covered with hollandaise and bacon bits (chunks!), and my partner had Da St. Phillip. Both were outstanding and well presented. The cappuccinos were very good too. Who Dat seems like a neighborhood spot with regulars the staff knows. As we were about to leave, I saw a tall older gentleman come in, moving very slowly. He was greeted enthusiastically by a staff member who seemed to know him. They chatted, and he got what he needed from their case of baked goods. As he was leaving, walking slowly, this staff member found his way to the back and seemed to just come back to make sure the gentleman got out the back door and down the couple of steps safely. It was a casual act of kindness that was beautiful and has stuck with me as the last and best thing I saw during our trip to this lovely old city. The atmosphere was comfy and charming, and I'll definitely come back. We sat outside under the awning and enjoyed a delicious Bloody Mary. The prices were more than reasonable, and the staff was hilarious. It's times like these when I wish I could give half stars. Even with a few minor drawbacks, the whole experience was delightful.

I had an amazing experience at Lux Cafe in New Orleans! The Breakfast Po' Boy and Traditional Benedict were delicious, and the fresh orange juice was a perfect start to the day. It's a casual setup where you choose your own seat and place your order at the counter. The staff gives you a number for your table, and you wait for your food to arrive. Everyone was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Cassandra was incredibly fun and helpful; her energy really enhanced our visit. The banana french toast is the best I've ever had – definitely get it! The breakfast sandwich was equally tasty. Jamal made our experience even better when they crafted a great "screwdriver" for us after running out of champagne for mimosas. The food came out quickly, and the music in the cafe was a nice touch. We loved the cafe so much we went back two days in a row. The Ultimate Seafood Grits, Vegan Burger, Wings and Fries, and Philly Cheesesteak were all exceptional. It's a cute place with a bar and free refills on soft drinks, and a fantastic way to start a day in New Orleans. I highly recommend Lux Cafe for anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot. I'm definitely coming back!

Monty's on the Square is a must-visit for breakfast when you're in New Orleans. The staff is super friendly, funny, and helpful, making the whole dining experience even better. The meals are absolutely amazing, and the drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are fantastic. I loved the tea! Our group of four had different orders, and everything was perfect. We'll definitely be returning. This is the best place we dined at in New Orleans. The sweet cream pancakes are a must-try! We got tipsy quickly, thanks to the amazing cocktails. The service is fast and informative. The bathroom is a bit eerie, but it adds character. Monty's is a regular stop whenever I'm in New Orleans. This time, I had the shrimp po’ boy, which was so good that I had to go back for more. The shrimp is delicious, and the bread is perfect! The Bloody Mary is the best I've had, and the peach Bellini is delightful. We tried the fried green tomatoes, which were okay, but the remoulade sauce overpowered the taste. You have to check out Monty's while exploring the area. During our last visit, we had a great lunch; I enjoyed the crab and corn bisque, which had amazing flavor, and a Caesar salad. My husband had the blue cheese burger, which was perfectly cooked and huge. I also had a wonderful Aperol spritzer. Overall, Monty's is a fantastic spot that I would dine at every day if I could.

Stopping by Ruby Slipper for brunch in New Orleans was one of the best dining decisions I've made. The poached eggs over chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy were a comforting delight, and the warm service made the experience even better. This place truly stands out—between the food, the service, and the inviting atmosphere, there's nothing like it. It's dog-friendly, too, and I've enjoyed bringing my pups for the patio pup menu. You can't go wrong with any menu item, but my favorites include the fried green tomatoes, Southern breakfast, Three Little Pigs omelet, white chocolate bread pudding pancakes, and the breakfast sandwich. Their biscuits, topped with Cane Butter and Strawberry Jam, are out of this world. Free parking is a bonus, and the staff—Keshan, Charles, and the rest of the crew—are friendly and welcoming, making it worth the trip, even after moving further away. This is a must-visit for anyone in New Orleans, with its amazing coffee, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The food and cocktails are unique and flavorful. Diana, in particular, was an incredible host, helping us choose the perfect food and drink pairings. Ruby Slipper is definitely a brunch spot to return to every time I'm in town!

I can't recommend Commerce enough for breakfast in New Orleans. It's a fantastic blend of New Orleans home-cooked meals and authentic Chinese specials, offering a unique yet comforting experience. The fact that it's been family-owned and operated since the sixties adds a special touch. Plus, they have a fully stocked bar and craft coffees available at all times, which is a great bonus. While vegetarian options are limited, the grilled cheese with tomato and avocado I tried was really good, even if the fries didn't quite match up. The catfish poboy was incredible, the smash burger was fresh and delicious, and the biscuit and sausage gravy were full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy without feeling crowded, making it a quiet spot for conversation even when busy. The staff makes the experience even better with their exceptional, efficient, and precise service, ensuring you're well taken care of. Commerce is a breakfast and lunch spot that's a bit off the beaten path but close enough to make it a must-visit. Despite a few service hiccups, with a 10+ minute wait to be greeted and some delays in refills, the quality of food more than made up for it. The absence of poached eggs for their benedicts and the premade bloody mary mix were slight letdowns, but overall, the delicious food makes up for it. Breakfast gets a solid 4/5 from me.

They play fantastic music from the 80s and 90s, and I found myself dancing in my seat. The service was exceptional, even with what seemed like a short staff. One guy was bartending, serving, hosting, and running food, all with a great attitude that was impressive to watch. My wife and I ordered different items, and while I thought the blackened fish was a bit salty at first, it grew more flavorful with each bite. She loved the gumbo despite it being more like "rice and gravy" without much meat. I tried the avocado toast, which, although it didn't look like much, was refreshing and flavorful. The bone-in ham was tender and cooked perfectly, a real standout compared to typical breakfast ham elsewhere. The customer service was mostly commendable, with friendly and attentive staff, though I did encounter one employee who was less than pleasant regarding the water pricing. It's a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things, but it did leave an impression. Overall, Daisy Dukes Express offers a great breakfast with some unique choices at a reasonable price. My wife enjoyed it more than I did, and it seems like a place worth revisiting. I'd recommend it for its good food, excellent music, and fantastic service.

We had brunch at Ruby Slipper to celebrate my sister's birthday, and what an amazing experience it was! Paige, our waitress, was fantastic—attentive and friendly, making our celebration feel special. The food was outstanding with generous portions and bold flavors. Whether you're dining solo or with a large group, this is the place to be! I’m already looking forward to returning for another memorable meal and highly recommend it. Visiting from Australia, New Orleans was our last stop before heading home after five weeks in the country. Ruby Slipper had the best brunch we tried, so good that we went back a second time. The French toast bites with cream cheese drizzle were incredible. As for the coffee, it was decent for an Aussie palate, and they even have English breakfast tea, which was a nice bonus. I was in town for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour and was glad I dined here. The food was excellent—I had the biscuits with sausage gravy, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. Paige made the experience even better, and they had cool decorations for the Taylor Swift concert, perfect for a photo op. Despite being a solo diner, I was seated quickly. On our last day in NOLA, we finally got to Ruby Slipper after seeing the huge line almost every day. I can’t eat eggs, so the menu was a bit limited for me, but the loaded tots were delicious, and I could have eaten them all day. We also shared some seasonal fruit, and my husband loved the shrimp and grits. Our waitress was super friendly and polite. I’d definitely eat here again and highly recommend it!

One of the highlights for me was finding sweet tea, which is rare in many places, so I was grateful for that treat. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which were fresh and delicious, and the gumbo, which did not disappoint. The service was exceptional, particularly thanks to NORA and Ms. Lisa. Ms. Lisa, in particular, made the experience unforgettable with her outstanding hospitality. Our breakfast was made even better by the Bloody Mary refills that came with an entree, elevating our meal to a top-tier experience. My partner tried the shrimp po' boy and some gumbo, and he was thoroughly impressed, finding it even better than he had hoped. While my BLT was simple and not particularly exciting, it met my expectations given the seafood and egg-heavy menu. The atmosphere at Daisy Dukes was pleasant, with intriguing art on the walls and a quiet setting when we visited. My country fried steak and side of bacon were just right, without being overly heavy or greasy—a definite plus. Overall, I left more than satisfied and would happily return on our next trip. After a leisurely stroll around the charming Garden District, I decided to stop by Ruby Slipper Uptown for some breakfast, and I’m so glad I did! This place is bustling, so definitely call ahead and add your name to the waitlist. For my meal, I chose the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, which was delicious, and I had to try the grits on the side. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, perfect for both sweet and savory lovers. From our hostess Kaitlyn to our server Miguel, everyone exuded true Southern hospitality. Both the breakfast tacos and the French toast are must-tries, and the biscuits are simply amazing. This spot is a must-visit when in NOLA, and I am looking forward to coming back.

The bacon was thick, the biscuits were incredibly fresh, and the pancakes were perfectly cooked. I was so impressed that I returned the next day with my fiancé. This time, I had the Eggs Benedict, which were rich in flavor. The cooking time was just 7-10 minutes, which was just fine by me. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, really adding to the warm ambiance. As a tourist wanting to support a local business, I couldn't have picked a better spot. It was a short and convenient walk from our hotel, and we were greeted warmly. The atmosphere was ideal, and the price point was perfect for us. On one visit, I tried the chicken and waffles, which came with three enormous pieces of chicken and a waffle dusted with powdered sugar. It was fantastic. Another morning, I was craving a country-style breakfast and decided to stop by again. I had Mae’s Breakfast Sandwich, which was fried chicken in a waffle with a side of sausage gravy. The waffle was fresh and tasty, and the chicken was awesome. While the sausage gravy wasn’t my favorite style, it still tasted okay. I also tried their red beans and rice, which were quite tasty. Overall, I really enjoyed my visits to Daisy Mae's and highly recommend it for a great local experience. The staff treated me and my family so well, and I look forward to returning. Just a note, the location is cozy, so it might not be suitable for large groups.

I had a very nice breakfast at Ruby Slipper in the New Orleans CBD. We visited on a Saturday and had to wait about 40 minutes to get a seat, which was longer than expected, but it's clearly a popular spot. Inside, the noise level was pretty high, but it was still possible to have a conversation, and the decor was bright and clean. The food was really good. The Bloody Mary was pleasantly spicy. We loved the Costa Rican Breakfast and Spanish Omelette. Our experience was made even better by our server, Crystal. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made us feel like old friends. She gave excellent recommendations, including the Hot Honey Chicken & French Toast Bites, biscuits, Banana Foster, and mimosas, all of which were delicious. Crystal's service was exceptional—she was attentive and seemed to anticipate our needs. She also shared great tips about local attractions, so we left with not only full stomachs but also ideas for exploring New Orleans. The Ruby Slipper offers a lively atmosphere and a nice twist on classic brunch fare, fitting right in with the Magazine Street vibe. While the service started slow, the food arrived fairly quickly once we ordered. The deep-fried green tomatoes and Gulf Shrimp Eggs Benedict were solid choices, although the tomatoes could have used more spices and the biscuit, while good, wasn't exceptional. Overall, Ruby Slipper is a solid spot for brunch with a bit of Cajun flair. It's worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a reliable local meal. While not a destination spot, it's a good pick if you're already in town.

On our last day in New Orleans, we decided to grab brunch at Café Fleur De Lis before heading to the airport, and it was a fantastic choice. The atmosphere was lively, and the location couldn't have been better. We tried the fried tomato, The Big Easy, the crab omelette, and the seafood Benedict. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we even had leftovers for the plane. Although the service was a bit off, as our waitress seemed a little forgetful and less attentive than we'd like, it didn’t overshadow the incredible food. We’re not the biggest fans of creole, so we were thrilled to find a place that offered both traditional and Southern/NOLA breakfast options. Our meals were beyond tasty, with generous portions and excellent coffee. Our group ordered a bit of everything, and every dish was a hit. The grits, quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, were perfection with the right texture and flavor—I added cheddar cheese, but they're great as they are. The oyster Benedict was outstanding, and I can't recommend it enough. The breakfast was fresh, and the service was friendly, especially our server Nancy, who was excellent. I also tried the boudin, which was very tasty. Don’t miss out on their homemade biscuits and grits; they’re simply delicious. If you're looking for a memorable breakfast spot, Café Fleur De Lis is a must-visit!

Walking into Stanley of New Orleans, I was immediately impressed by the warm welcome from their stunning hostess. After we were seated, the experience just kept getting better. Their mimosas are the largest I've seen and at a great price. The gumbo was fantastic, and sitting by the window is perfect for watching the world go by. I tried the oyster Po’ Boy with sweet potato fries on the side, and it was amazing. The Tito’s strawberry lemonade was refreshing, with generous pours unlike anywhere else in the French Quarter. The breakfast was so good it almost brought me to tears. The crab cake eggs Benedict was simply out of this world. The staff were attentive, fun, and kind, making the experience even more enjoyable. A local friend recommended Stanley as a top breakfast spot, and they were absolutely right. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere had a charming, old-school feel. Our server was super friendly, and we had such a wonderful time. My boyfriend and I shared the crab cake Benedict and the bananas foster French toast, both of which were incredible. We wanted to return immediately, but unfortunately, they close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Without a doubt, this was our favorite breakfast in New Orleans, and we’re already planning to come back before our trip ends.

The line was long, as expected during the Eras tour weekend, but it moved quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere at Cafe Beignet on Royal Street was fantastic. I was there with my husband and family friends for the Taylor Swift concert, and we all enjoyed the vibe of this cute spot. The beignets were amazing, easily the best I’ve had—piping hot and covered in powdered sugar goodness. I gave them a 9/10, the coffee also a 9/10, and the overall vibe a perfect 10/10. We had sandwiches and the Taylor Swift-themed beignets, and everything looked delicious. The service was friendly and informative, and the food was fresh and hot. I loved the beautiful outdoor seating, which added to the real NOLA vibes. Plus, they sell their beignet mix and other products, so we grabbed a box to bring a taste of New Orleans back home. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans. It’s a must-try location for those looking to experience the essence of the city. Hands down, I give Cafe Beignet on Royal Street a perfect 10 out of 10.

The service was friendly and added to the welcoming atmosphere, but be prepared—it can be a bit smoky inside. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food, though the fries portion seemed a bit small for the price. When it came time to pay, the tipping screen started at 25%, which caught me off guard, but given the experience, it was worth it. Parking nearby is available for a fee, but the cool crowd and overall vibe make Clover Grill a must-visit spot in the city.

My simple breakfast was delicious and exactly what I needed to start the day. Tamika ensured we were well taken care of, despite the rush, and that made the experience even better. Overall, Roux on Orleans provided a delightful breakfast experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.
