As a resident of the Ironbound, it's a pleasure to have a spot like Sihana Cafe nearby. The atmosphere is fantastic, reminding me a lot of my brother's neighborhood in Brooklyn. The service and presentation are top-notch. For breakfast, I enjoyed the European-sized portions, and the coffee was really good. The only downside was the pancakes, which were a bit too thick and cake-like for my taste; they could use some improvement. Despite that, I'll definitely be back. I also stopped by for some lattes to go, and the service was welcoming and friendly, even during a busy time. The exposed brick walls, concrete seating, and plant greenery create a refreshing vibe that's a nice change from the usual spots in the area. We loved everything about Sihana. It's cozy and inviting, the lattes were spectacular, and the food was great overall. My daughter didn't love her bagel due to it being heavy on either garlic or onion powder, which is the only reason I didn't give the food five stars. Still, it's an amazing place to eat with a nice atmosphere. I strongly recommend this place. The staff is super friendly, and the food is delicious. Plus, there are interesting books to read, making it easy to work and dine comfortably. Five stars from me!

What a gem! This place was totally worth it. I ordered the Puebla omelette and the salmon toast with poached eggs, and every single bite was filled with flavor. They offer breakfast sandwiches, delicious omelets, and sweet dishes too, along with specialty coffee drinks. The prices are decent, and the customer service was top-notch. Street parking was available and not hard to find. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch. They have a lunch menu too. I hope to return soon and try some of their pizza! Finally, a good affordable breakfast spot. The food was delicious, though I felt it could have been a little more. Service was great and very attentive. The price was reasonable. I will definitely come here again! Recommend if you want a quick breakfast. My brother and I are visiting from Michigan, and we found this awesome cafe. The atmosphere is cozy, very clean, and everyone there is so friendly. The food was delicious! Best cappuccino — we both ended up having another one. Our server was such a nice guy. We're sad to be leaving back to Michigan on Monday because we would have loved to go back. Stumbled upon this amazing gem, and wow, what a find! My partner and I had a fantastic experience at Blueprint Café for breakfast. Victory, our server, was adorable and helpful, making our tea perfectly and always greeting us with a warm smile. The food exceeded expectations for both of us. As a vegan, I appreciated the diverse menu, although my tofu scramble could have had more flavor depth. My partner loved the sausage omelet. The portions are generous, and the vibe of the place is spot on with its industrial/rustic decor and high ceilings. The DJ kept the energy up with great beats. The interior is charming and well-decorated, with outdoor seating available too. Be mindful of the parking lot right before the building; it's easy to miss. Even though we arrived close to closing time on one visit, Ivan provided outstanding service with a positive attitude, making a lasting impression. This café is a hidden gem in Newark that I never knew existed, but now it's my go-to spot. I’m excited to spread the word about Blueprint Café and their fantastic team. The man at the counter was neat, clean, and professional, which added to the overall positive experience. While I'm not a fan of the current location, it would be great if they expanded to an Ivy Hill location or somewhere near 18th Avenue. Despite that, the moment you walk through the door, the smell of home-cooked food greets you warmly. I had grits with scrambled eggs and cheese, along with corned beef hash. It was exactly how I like it. My wife ordered salmon cakes, and they were perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chef even came out to check on how we wanted our food cooked, which was a nice touch. Although my food was burnt on one visit and I couldn’t go back due to work, their beignets were delicious. I didn’t enjoy the coffee as much, but those beignets are worth the trip alone. I’d recommend trying a few breakfast meals or pastries as you won’t regret it. Their spinach croissant is a standout! The owner is super nice, and they recently catered an event at my workplace where everything was fresh and delicious. Islam, who handled our catering needs, was attentive and responsive, ensuring everything went smoothly. The food was a hit with our guests, and I'll definitely be using PJ's Coffee for catering again.

Walking into Deluxe Diner was much more than I expected from the outside, and I'm so glad I decided to stop in. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel welcome, and the service and food are awesome! This was my family's first time dining here, and we were warmly greeted by Maria, who made us feel right at home. The owner even let us choose our own seat, which was a nice touch. The food was phenomenal. I ordered French toast, eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, a beef sausage omelette, chocolate muffins, and disco fries. Every bite was absolutely delicious, even though I couldn't finish all of it. Prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. I ordered takeout to enjoy later, and everything held up well. For the prices, you can't complain at Mama Kim Deli. A nice sub is only $6, and you can double up for just $7.50. The sandwich quality is good. The tuna for me was too much when doubled, but the tuna itself is good. I've also tried the fish, shrimp, and scallop platter and swapped the scallops for more shrimp. It did give me bubble guts later, but the portions are great for the price. Everything is under $10. Mama Kim's French toast with powdered sugar is the best I've ever had, and I go there every morning. For $8, you get cheese eggs with turkey bacon, which you can't beat at all. The grits with cheese are also very good. I'd give them 4 stars. The food is delicious, especially the bacon, egg, and cheese with jelly, their pancakes, and the iced tea. I highly recommend going there. It's a great place to get a breakfast platter, and I love the turkey bacon, grits, and eggs.

Okay, so I had this brunch at IHOP the other day, and let me tell you, the food was amazing. The pancakes were so fluffy and buttery, just perfect, and the bacon was crispy and salty. I'm still dreaming about that breakfast burrito! The environment was sensational; clean and pleasant, with friendly staff like Lucy and Fatima making the experience even better. Now, the only thing that could've been better was the service. It wasn't bad, just a bit slow. Our server seemed a bit distracted, and getting drink refills took some time. If they could pay a bit more attention to the customers, it would be a perfect experience. Overall, I definitely recommend IHOP for a delicious and satisfying meal. Just be prepared to wait a bit longer for your server. We were bummed they got rid of the all-you-can-eat pancakes deal, but enjoying those awesome pancakes was soothing, even good for my mental health. The new $7 deal doesn’t seem as appealing unless you can just order plates of pancakes. The eggs were too fluffy for me, but overall, it was a great meal. My daughter ate so fast she threw up, poor little stomach! We’ll be back for sure.

But to be completely fair, here’s the rundown: I tried a few dishes, starting with the Diva Egg Wrap, which was a solid 8.5/10. It had a tasty combo of egg white, grilled chicken, lettuce, and tomato. The chicken tender wrap and fries were pretty good too; I’d give the tender wrap an 8/10. The fries were a tad salty for my liking, so they get a 7/10. I also had the turkey chops with gravy, which came recommended by our waitress but didn't quite hit the mark, scoring a 5/10. The cornbread—or corn muffin, as it was—also got a 5/10, and while the mac and cheese was decent, I’d rate it a 7/10. The coleslaw had too many large onion pieces for my taste, so it’s at a 5.5/10. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the service. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful—pleasant, friendly, and genuinely caring. This made the visit enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend stopping by to try their food. The place is affordable, and the staff is attentive, which makes for a good dining experience. Overall, I would say Kings Family Restaurant & Catering is worth a visit, especially if you’re looking for halal options in Newark. I see myself coming back again.

We decided to try Central Restaurant, even though it was a bit of a drive from our airport hotel. It was a good sign that they offered grits on the menu, and they lived up to the promise. First off, I always check the restroom for cleanliness, and it did not disappoint—it was tiny but clean and smelled nice. For breakfast, my son had the Denver omelet with grits, I tried the fish and grits, and my daughter went for the French toast breakfast with a side of grits. The grits were creamy and delicious, just as you'd hope, with butter pooling perfectly on top. The French toast had the right mix of crunch and tenderness, with a nice kick of cinnamon. The Denver omelet was well done, slightly browned on top but soft inside. As for the fish, it was unexpectedly fried but had a great crunchy exterior with flaky, tender meat inside. Our meals were all top-notch for a neighborhood diner. If you enjoy this type of atmosphere and hearty breakfast food, Central Restaurant is worth a visit. It was a satisfying experience during our travel stop, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

It was great to try something different from the usual breakfast fare. The price was incredibly reasonable—around $7.60 for both the sandwich and coffee. If I lived closer to Newark, I'd be a regular here. The atmosphere is welcoming, with larger tables ideal for family visits. Plus, the convenience of a free parking lot is a bonus. Overall, No Pão at Café Caffé exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it.

The mix of American, Portuguese, and Brazilian dishes feels truly authentic and traditional. The atmosphere is welcoming, and even though the area might seem unfamiliar to some, it's worth stepping outside your comfort zone. The staff, especially our waitress, were super friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. While service was a bit slow on one of my previous visits, the friendly atmosphere and quality of food certainly made up for it.
