The Mad House in Newcastle has now become my go-to place for brunch! The place has an impeccable atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a cocktail, and a great menu selection. The food is not just delicious but also gives a lovely nostalgic feel, taking you right back to your childhood. I especially loved the creative and lively feel of the bar. The bartenders are extremely friendly and helpful, contributing significantly to the overall outstanding experience. If you're looking for a new and quirky spot for a girls' day out, then this is the place! We had an amazing night with excellent cocktails and a very knowledgeable and kind bartender. Can't wait to book the bottomless brunch again and enjoy more of their cocktails. We were a group of 13 on our first visit, and we had an absolute blast. The staff were delightful, and the place was fun with brilliant decoration. Opting for the bottomless brunch was totally worth it. Absolutely looking forward to coming back and having another fantastic night. Thank you, The Mad House!

I stumbled upon Cog and Wheel, a fantastic venue tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. It immediately struck me with its enjoyable atmosphere and tasteful decor. The staff are incredibly friendly, effortlessly ensuring your needs are met. The drink selection is impressive, ranging from beers and cocktails to a variety of spirits. The menu is creatively designed, featuring both classic brunch items as well as unique house specialties. The food tasted amazing and their signature 'cog dust' chips are a must-try. The bottomless brunch was excellent and the service was remarkable, with our glasses continuously topped up during our two-hour stay. However, one unexpected surprise was the 10% service charge on our bill which we hadn't anticipated. The portion sizes were substantial, with the chicken burger slightly outshining the beef version. But both were delicious nonetheless, making a return visit very likely. Their Sunday lunch is possibly the best I’ve ever had - great value, delicious food and exceptional staff. I had a fantastic Sunday lunch with perfectly cooked beef and a generous side of collifour cheese. The portions were large and the quality was stellar. The venue's inviting ambiance and friendly staff made for a great day - I will definitely be back to Cog and Wheel.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my recent experience at Turtle Bay Newcastle! The food was phenomenal and consistently excellent, as always. The cocktails are top-notch, particularly during happy hour when they offer a 2-for-1 deal. The atmosphere was relaxed and the prices were very reasonable. Our waiter, Courtney, was fantastic. She made sure we always had drinks during our bottomless brunch. My husband and I visited again for dinner, and we were blown away by the quality of the food. Each visit, we try something different, and we've never left disappointed. The sweetcorn fritter starter and Trini prawn curry were mouthwatering. My husband's BBQ ribs were perfectly cooked, the meat practically falling off the bone. Our server, Will, was attentive and ensured our food arrived promptly. The mocktails and cocktails were as enjoyable as the food, so kudos to the bar staff as well. The cleanliness of the restaurant is always commendable, even during busy hours. The staff never fails to impress with their friendliness and attentiveness. Even when it's busy, they always find time to chat, like our friend Niall. I recently enjoyed my second bottomless brunch on a bank holiday Monday, and it was a delightful experience. The cocktails and jerk chicken wrap were fantastic, and the jerk halloumi was a pleasant surprise. The reggae music transported me back to the Caribbean, and the value for money was incredible. I, without a doubt, will be returning to Turtle Bay Newcastle!

Slug & Lettuce - Central Newcastle

I had an outstanding experience at Slug & Lettuce in Central Newcastle. The place was lively and bustling when I stopped in for a drink after a meal on Saturday evening. I was pleasantly surprised by the 2-for-1 cocktail offer and the fantastic atmosphere. The bottomless brunch was fantastic, with the food being top-notch. Our host, Gemma, was wonderfully attentive, ensuring our drinks were always topped up and we had everything we needed. The 2-for-1 cocktail deal is definitely a major plus, and I must confess that I probably enjoy it more than I should. I was also quite impressed with the share platter, which was more than enough for two of us at a cost of £15. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. That said, the one point to improve might be the smell on the way to the toilets, which can be somewhat off-putting. However, that doesn't detract from how great this place is. Slug & Lettuce is always my first stop when I go out. The cocktails are reasonably priced, particularly with the 241 deal, and the service remains fast even when it is busy. The place always maintains a clean and organised atmosphere, and the staff always go above and beyond to make the experience worthwhile. On my last visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Ruby, who was absolutely fantastic. I'm already looking forward to booking again for my birthday and hopefully snagging one of the fantastic birdcage booths.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Lola Jeans for their bottomless brunch in Newcastle. Their food was top-notch, especially the loaded tatter tots and their award-winning burgers. Aidan, who served us, was both personable and friendly, truly enhancing our dining experience. I was so impressed by the incredible burgers that I returned a week later. Even their salads were delicious, incredibly fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, complete with a charming pink theme and good music. I must also highlight the James P. Sullivan burger - it's a must-try for new visitors. In addition to the great food, we had a lovely dinner there recently where we enjoyed the generous portions of steak and chicken platters. The chips were heavenly and the service was prompt and attentive. It was a vibrant place filled with a diverse crowd, making the place feel like the hotspot for the night. Their cocktails and mocktails were also amazing, a perfect pairing with their delightful food. The Clancy Wiggum Burger along with their buffalo fries was one of my favourites. The staff created a great atmosphere, always ensuring we were comfortable and our needs were met. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Newcastle, and strongly recommend Lola Jeans to everyone. Their delicious food, warm service and vibrant atmosphere make it an outstanding dining destination.

A visit to The Botanist Bar & Restaurant in Newcastle for bottomless brunch was a delightful experience. The food was satisfactory and I enjoyed both the scotch egg and the meat skewer. The place itself was visually stunning with its bright glass roof. The service was top-notch, with the staff being quick, kind, and attentive. The menu offered great choices, and the food portions were quite generous. The environment was buzzing with fantastic music and a lively vibe. There was an amazing singer adding to the atmosphere. The view from our table was captivating, we could see the lively city below. Our kids enjoyed their meals and had a good time too. We shared a kebab and the kids relished their chicken and beef burgers. We did indulge in a couple of cocktails which were really cool and unique to The Botanist. The puddings were also delightful. Our waiter was extremely helpful and we plan on coming back to try out other dishes. The food and drinks were lovely and we appreciated the quick service. This place was beautifully decorated, especially the area above the bar. However, it might be a bit loud near the bar for those who are sensitive to sounds, but it's better once you are seated further in. Our server Abby was very helpful and considerate regarding my dietary restrictions. Despite the slight noise issue, I would recommend The Botanist Bar & Restaurant without a second thought.

Jam Jar is a wonderful, cosy spot in Newcastle perfect for a bottomless brunch. I was impressed with the polite, efficient staff and enjoyed my pints of Estrella immensely. The cocktails are a must-try, especially during happy hour which starts after 5pm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and they make the best Bloody Mary I've ever tasted. We were even surprised with a complimentary dessert and a free round of drinks due to a slight delay in our food service. The menu offers a good variety of starters, mains, and cocktails. My boyfriend and I opted for the chicken strips and deep fried Camembert for starters, which were phenomenal. The main courses were enjoyable, though the starters were definitely the stars of our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Jam Jar for a fantastic brunch experience. While the main meals were good, I’ll be returning for a selection of their superb starters.

I decided to try out the bottomless brunch at No28 in Newcastle and I must say, it's a great place to start off your afternoon. The idea of serving cocktails in teapots is delightful and their variety of cocktails is top-notch. Despite the fact that it got extremely busy around 2pm on Saturday and we had to remind the staff about our drinks a couple of times, the experience was enjoyable overall. The venue is located in a charming little alley next to a market, which adds to its appeal. What I loved about No28 is its interesting decor and fantastic music selection - it all adds to the good vibe of the place. Moreover, the staff are friendly and really know their stuff, so they were helpful when it came to selecting our drinks. The food was absolutely delicious too! One thing that stands out is their pricing - it's quite reasonable for the quality of food and drinks you get. I stopped by on a weekday after work and was pleasantly surprised. I'd been meaning to visit this place for a while and now, I wish I had done so sooner. It's not my usual type of venue, but I must admit, I couldn't find any faults. It's definitely a place I will be frequenting more often, especially for their bottomless brunch. Perfect for anyone looking for a unique drinking experience in Newcastle.

The Alchemist Newcastle

I recently enjoyed an excellent bottomless brunch experience at The Alchemist Newcastle. At £30 per person, the food was good, and considering the three included cocktails, it felt like getting the food for free. Despite a few items on the menu not being available, I found the overall experience one of the best I've had. Certainly worth more than sitting in a noisy bar, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The atmosphere at The Alchemist is always pleasant, and each visit with my partner allows us to discover new drinks to enjoy. I ordered a plant-based burger that was perfectly sized and quite delicious. The service was commendable, and they were very accommodating with my lactose intolerance, offering an online menu to help me identify items containing milk. The cocktails are both unusual and delicious, with plenty of choices and entertaining gimmicks to make each one an experience. The bartenders' skill and creativity were impressive, adding another layer of enjoyment to the visit. The bar and restaurant are spacious, and while we didn't order any additional food, what we saw looked tempting. Prices for the food and cocktails are on the higher side, but it's well worth it. I particularly appreciate the frequent changes in the menu, keeping each visit interesting. The staff are friendly, the venue is clean and well-organized, and its location is definitely a plus. In short, I had a fantastic time and I'm already planning my next visit.

I recently had an absolutely enjoyable time at Revolución de Cuba Newcastle during the restaurant week. The place not only offered a plethora of tapas dishes, but also showcased a wide variety of cocktails. The service was swift and the food was worth every penny, making me consider coming back for more. This hasn't been my only visit. I've been here multiple times and I must say, it's a fantastic spot for drinks. The cocktail menu is extensive and every drink I've sampled has been exquisite. The food does not disappoint either, with the tapas-style dishes being perfect to nibble on alongside your drink. What's more, aside from the great food and drinks, there's fantastic entertainment. And let's not forget the top notch staff who are always friendly and ready to assist. I simply can't get enough of this place - the food, staff, and overall atmosphere is top class. The service is particularly impressive. They have a great knowledge of their cocktails, which adds to the whole experience. Beer lovers are also in for a treat, the beer is always fresh and served cold. Plus, the sun terrace is an amazing little sun trap. In conclusion, Revolución de Cuba Newcastle is an excellent spot for a bottomless brunch. It has a great blend of food, drinks, and atmosphere that guarantees a good time. Will definitely make this my go-to place.

The Hudson

I recently visited The Hudson for a bottomless brunch and overall, I had a good experience. The standout feature for me was definitely the cherry bomb cocktail - it was delicious and well worth it, especially with the 2-for-£12 deal. I appreciated the wide range of drink options, including plenty of mocktails for the non-drinkers. The Hudson is conveniently located near Central Station, which was great for me as I could take the metro in and easily walk to the restaurant. The ambiance was quite enjoyable with beautiful deco throughout the place. It was a bit loud due to the music, which was surprising considering it's not exactly a clubbing venue. I did encounter a bit of a mixed bag in terms of service. The bar staff left something to be desired, but the restaurant staff were much more amiable. Despite being seated in a secluded booth, the attentive waitstaff regularly checked in on us, ensuring we were having a good time. As for the food, it was okay. I ordered the Shashuka and my friend had the meatball flatbread. They were satisfactory but nothing too special, especially for the price. I also added a side of chips with parmesan cheese and truffle, which while tasty, could have been improved if the cheese was melted on it. The toilets were tidy and well-maintained, including accessible options, and I appreciated the accessible entrance to the building as well. While I won't be rushing back for the food, I would definitely return for the cocktails and the overall ambiance of the place. The Hudson has a certain charm to it that I really enjoyed and I would rate my experience a solid 10/10.

The food was just as impressive as the service. Each dish was expertly prepared, offering a perfect balance of flavors that kept us reaching for more. The portions were generous and the food arrived steaming hot at our table quickly. The presentation was also on point, a nice cherry on top of an already amazing dining experience. What also enhanced our experience was the restaurant's ambiance. The place was clean and beautifully decorated. We also had the option to sit outside, which was a nice touch. I wish they had more tables outside though, there's definitely room for more! The cocktails were lush and the food was delicious. I'm already making plans to revisit, and I urge anyone looking for a great dining experience in Newcastle to do the same. Thanks to the friendly staff and timely service, it's guaranteed to be a delightful culinary experience. And don’t forget to ask for Amy - she added fun to our whole experience from start to finish!

I recently enjoyed a visit to 97 & Social for a bottomless brunch, and it was a fantastic experience. The establishment is a prime spot for bank holiday cocktails and food, with great value for money, offering 2 for £12 on a broad spectrum of delicious cocktails. The food was outstanding, with the beef tacos standing out for their freshness and tastiness. Entertainment was provided with a TV in the corner for football and the frozen margaritas were zesty, refreshing, and not watered down like many other places. The service was top-notch, and I have to give it a 5* rating. Similarly, Sunday lunch was incredibly satisfying and warrants a 5* rating, as does the overall value for money. Although the music was a bit too loud for my personal taste, which made it difficult to have a conversation, it didn't ruin my overall experience, and I still believe 97 & Social deserves a full 5* rating for the high-quality food and service, as well as the impeccably clean premises. The atmosphere was incredibly pleasing, filled with content customers. We enjoyed the generous portion of nachos, which was so big that it could have easily been a main dish. The burger was also scrumptious and beautifully presented, with delicious chips as an accompaniment. The staff were friendly and handled a busy shift expertly, even while we watched the England game. This spot also caters to dietary needs, serving great gluten-free options that were a hit with my daughters. The laidback atmosphere, along with the exceptional staff, made it a wonderful place to eat, drink, and unwind. Despite the loud music, I'd go back in a heartbeat for the incredible food and warm service. I can confidently recommend 97 & Social for a fantastic dining experience.

Her friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu really stood out. Barluga serves as the perfect Mediterranean-terrace getaway in Newcastle. I spent a beautiful sunny afternoon there, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Their food and drinks are amazing, I've been there for drinks countless times, and trying the food was a pleasant revelation! I recently visited Leila Lily's for an afternoon tea and I'm surprised I hadn't discovered this place sooner. The food was truly exceptional, the flavours were amazing and there was a great variety to choose from. Though the milk for our tea was a bit off, the waitress handled the situation well. The cocktails were splendid, with a wide selection that made choosing just one a difficult task. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant added to the overall experience, with lots of great spots for photos. Despite some recent reviews, we didn't experience slow service. The time between courses was just right and we didn't feel rushed. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We also visited for restaurant week and weren't disappointed. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We sampled the Mezze board and the open steak sandwich among other things and all the dishes were enjoyed by everyone. The only minor hiccup was that our starter dishes weren't cleared promptly and the table got a bit cluttered. Aside from this, the overall experience was fantastic. I found Leila Lily's to be a great spot for delicious food, fantastic cocktails, and a lovely ambiance. I'll definitely be back and won't hesitate to recommend this place. A special shout out to the well-mannered and hardworking staff and the lovely, insta-worthy decor.

I've been a regular visitor to Pleased To Meet You for the past 3 years, ever since our daughter started University. It's been a constant whirl of 5-star experiences, from the fabulous scallop starter to the heavenly sticky toffee pudding and delectable wine selection. However, during our last visit, we were left somewhat disappointed. We'd spent over £200 for a table of 3 and it was underwhelming, particularly the £74 Porterhouse steak that was overcooked and noticeably less than the promised 28oz. Disappointingly, the general service at the Tynemouth site wasn't up to par either and we left after a single drink. However, it remains a pleasant place to visit for a drink and conversation, given it lacks televisions which encourages more personal interaction. We didn't try the food at this site, so I can't comment on that. Despite these issues, we still had a good time. As a bar, it's a delightful space, beautifully decorated, spacious with high ceilings, yet it still manages to exude a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It feels somewhat upscale, perfect for celebrating special occasions. Their cocktail selection is fantastic, extending beyond just the classics. An orange espresso martini I had there remains one of the best I've sampled anywhere; beautifully served and tastefully unique. On a whim, we decided to dine at the restaurant and it proved to be an excellent decision. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the food was simply superb, not to mention reasonably priced. Leveraging local produce, the meals were tasty and satisfying. It was such a delightful experience that I would highly recommend anyone to try this place. In fact, it was the best meal we had during our week in England. So, despite some recent setbacks, Pleased To Meet You remains a generally fantastic location that I have, and will continue to frequent regularly.

I took a chance and visited Banyan Bar & Kitchen for a quick lunch last Saturday without a reservation. To my delight, they were able to accommodate us. The place is surprisingly spacious and has a great atmosphere with good music playing. The club sandwich I had was fantastic and generously filled, served with delicious fries. A return visit had us enjoying breakfast outdoors on a sunny Saturday. Despite the place buzzing with groups celebrating birthdays, stags, and hens, and many heading to the rugby league magic weekend like us, the atmosphere was convivial and we didn't witness any trouble. The food was great and priced on par with central Newcastle rates. The table service via QR code was prompt and efficient. We lingered for a couple of hours enjoying the sun and drinks without feeling rushed, and there was still room for new arrivals. The indoor part of the bar has a nice decor. Staff were friendly and hardworking throughout our visits. We also enjoyed their 2-for-1 cocktails - a nice bonus, despite them not offering passion fruit due to cost! The inside has comfortable seating, a unique disco ball, and funky lighting adding to the amazing vibes. My chicken schnitzel was outstanding and cooked flawlessly. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out Banyan Bar & Kitchen during your next trip to Newcastle. This place deserves a perfect 10/10.

We were there to celebrate our sister's birthday and were pleasantly surprised when a staff member, Connor, arranged for us to be moved to a booth. This definitely added to our night. The meals were delectable - especially the fish and chips, and the chicken wrap which were only priced at £2.99 each! The only minor inconvenience was the lack of high chairs, but this won't stop us from returning in the future.

Our seats were ready for us and drinks were already on the table, which remained flowing throughout the entire event. The food, though slightly small portions, tasted absolutely delicious. But the highlight of the event was undeniably the entertainment. The venue hosted a singer, dancers, and even a fire dancer. The energetic disco songs and fantastic atmosphere truly elevated the experience. I was particularly impressed with the level of service. The staff constantly checked on us, ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after. Even when the event ended, we were allowed to take leftover drinks downstairs to the bar in plastic cups, ensuring nothing went to waste. I can't wait to return to The Purple Peacock not only for another brunch event, but also to try out their evening events. The venue not only served great food and drinks but also offered top-notch entertainment. I traveled all the way from Scarborough to see the talented Matt Pagan perform and he did not disappoint. Even though I joined at the last minute due to someone dropping out, I had an incredible time on Friday, the 11th of August, 2023, and can't wait to go back.
