The service was exceptional; every server checked on us without being intrusive, and my husband’s coffee never went empty. In a previous visit for lunch with my grandma and boyfriend, the food and service impressed again, even amid the busy crowd. They were quick to seat us and very accommodating with dietary needs. The hash, traditional French toast, and home fries with onions and peppers were delicious. The Crab Benedict is a must-try, with its generous lump crab meat on an English muffin, and the sweet potato fries were remarkably good, reminiscent of a funnel cake. Each dish was a hit. The breakfast sandwich made with a flaky croissant was amazing, and the eggs were seasoned perfectly. I also tried a Crazy Coconut (hot), which was bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable, with friendly staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. The spicy Bloody Marys were strong and delicious, which added a fun kick to our morning. The restaurant was nice, clean, and had a cute vibe in the heart of Hilton Village. Whether you're looking for a brunch meet-up or a casual date spot, this place is highly recommended. The cheesecake and coffee are also worth trying. Overall, the service and food were outstanding!

Our first visit to Jarochitos Tacos in Newport News was such a treat! We had an amazing experience with dinner—the food was delicious and the staff was fantastic. I'm genuinely impressed with the guacamole; it's the best I've ever had. In my opinion, Jarochitos Tacos beats Juan's and José Tequilas hands down. Ken enjoyed shrimp tacos, Joshua went for two birria tacos and one barbacoa taco, and I had an asada huarache. The chicken empanadas we shared were incredibly fresh and tasty, with generous portions that left us with leftovers for lunch the next day. I give them a solid five stars! We even returned for our son's birthday dinner, and it was just as delightful. Our waitress was very friendly, and although I wasn't a fan of everything on the menu, the rest of my group seemed to really enjoy it. This place serves the best Mexican food I've had in Newport News—fresh and authentic. Always attentive and kind, the staff adds to the wonderful dining experience.

Living close to Angie's, I've stopped by on multiple occasions, and always had a great experience. On one visit, I opted for hot dirty chais and quesitos. While the chais didn't have strong flavor, the quesitos were fresh from the oven and absolutely delicious. The café's pet-friendly policy is a nice touch too. I once tried their iced macchiato, which was delightful, and more recently, enjoyed a bagel with a surprisingly sweet cream cheese, alongside a Nutella-filled pastelito. The pastry was perfectly flaky with just the right amount of Nutella. Overall, Angie's is a cute spot with friendly service and mouth-watering pastries. It's definitely a place I'd revisit to explore more of their menu. The combination of good coffee, excellent pastries, and warm service makes it a standout in Newport News.

Our server was sweet and attentive, and the food came out quickly. My mom enjoyed her biscuits and gravy, my grandson loved his pancakes, and I couldn't get enough of the French toast. The bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection. Everything was absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back for breakfast. One dish that stands out is the chef's country fried steak, complete with gravy, eggs, toast, and his signature fried potatoes. Now that’s some real cooking! The cafe's friendly, movie-set-worthy atmosphere adds to the charm. While the noise level can be high during busy times, the excellent fries and burgers more than make up for it. It's a small, quaint family-owned restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, usually opening at 6 am and closing around 2 or 3 pm. They're closed on Mondays, and I'm not sure about Tuesdays. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. I highly recommend it for breakfast and will update my review once we try their lunch options. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy inside, but overall, it was a great first experience.

Should I share this fabulous newly renovated café? It’s a unique blend of a plant nursery, café, fashionable boutique, and coffee spot all in one. The food here is delicious with great choices. What better place to have lunch than in this beautiful garden café setting, surrounded by plant boxes and blooming flowers? My sister and I tried many delicious items, and I absolutely love this place! The food is hot and fresh, making the wait time easy to overlook. I ordered the Baja Bowl, requested it without cheese to keep it vegan. It was so delicious that I nearly finished it before I thought to take a picture. The presentation was enticing, and the seasoning and sauce were perfect. We’ve lived here 20 years and never stopped to eat here until now! We enjoyed the food immensely, trying the Brussel Sprout appetizer, the Pork Belly Bowl, and the Chicken Salad croissant. Everything was great, although I would prefer the sandwich on bread rather than a buttery croissant next time. The prices are a bit high, but the quality is worth it. We'll definitely be back. I can't believe I didn’t know about this place, even though it's been around for decades. I had the Maha Salmon Wrap with Chipotle Mayo and the Bean Salad, both of which were so delicious. The homemade lemonade, sweetened with natural agave, was amazing too. The environment is friendly and the servers were awesome. This place is a gem. The Brisket Philly is outstanding, the onion rings are the best I've ever tried, and the homemade chips are fantastic. On one visit, I tried the Stack House Sandwich, and the brisket was incredibly tender and juicy. My wife had the smoked chicken and Gouda, and it was a melt-in-your-mouth experience. Meals come with chips, but there’s a $2 upcharge for fries or tots, which is a bit of a letdown, but not a dealbreaker. The potato skins appetizer was crispy, cheesy, and flavorful, a perfect start to our meal. If you’re in the area, make sure to give Midtown Eats a shot. Just be ready for the extra charge if you want fries. Bon appétit!
