Vidlak's Brookside Cafe is so good! You know a place is popular when there are always people waiting for a table. I had a ham and cheese scramble with hash browns and pancakes, and it was delicious. My friend enjoyed a veggie skillet. It's a nice diner with good food and great prices. The service is always excellent, and I've been going there for years. It's consistently good! Parking can be a bit tight since the lot always seems packed, but that just shows how good this place is. The wait for a table was short, and the food came out quickly, even though they were busy. It was impressive how efficiently everything was handled, taking only about an hour in total. The food is your typical breakfast fare — not mind-blowing but definitely satisfying. The coffee was tasty, although I wish they had some gluten-free options for bread and pancakes. They do have a fresh fruit cup, which is nice. Despite this, their prices are excellent, and I'll definitely be back to try another dish. It's also a great spot for large groups. The hours are a bit limited, from 6 am to 1:45 pm, and they do close for a vacation in late July, but it's worth planning around. This is our go-to place when we're craving tasty comfort food. It's a no-frills, fast service environment with a very friendly staff, and a huge menu to choose from. I've never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend trying it! P.S. – their cinnamon rolls are awesome. Make sure to get at least two to go.

First time at Stories Coffee Company, and the vibe was fantastic. The place was lively, with gentle music playing and fresh pastries, and the coffee was excellent. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I'm thrilled I stopped in. The food menu looked promising too—I’m definitely coming back for a pork belly, potato, egg, and cheese burrito or a croissant. 5/5! What a cool place! I was in Omaha for work and decided to stop by for brunch and a coffee before heading to Lincoln, and I was excited to find Stories. I love the location, the beautiful interior design, and the spaciousness, plus the bathrooms were gloriously clean. The staff was amazing—very friendly and welcoming. The latte, almond croissant, and artichoke dip were fantastic and truly hit the spot. It's such a shame there isn’t a Stories Coffee in my area near the University of Virginia because it would definitely do well. My family and I grabbed a quick coffee treat before heading to some local state parks. We enjoyed lattes and hot chocolate, all hot, fresh, and tasty. The cafe itself is spacious and well-kept, with breakout rooms for gatherings. This is a great local coffee shop that’s worth a visit! The new Stories on 107th is open, and the staff is so welcoming. The owner, Dan, even greeted us with a VIP menu during their soft launch and shared Stories’ backstory. I had a mocha latte and a turkey egg white sandwich, while my companion had a brown sugar espresso and the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. I’m definitely excited to have this place here. Welcome, Stories! You’re my new favorite spot!

We enjoyed our first experience at Winchell's for breakfast in Omaha. The Halloween decorations both indoors and outdoors were a hit, especially with my 3-year-old, who thought they were really cool! The donuts were delicious, and the Halloween-themed ones were adorable, clearly showing the effort put into decorating them. It was nice to see that the employee was pleasant and helpful, making our visit enjoyable. The atmosphere at Winchell's has a charming retro, no-frills feel, which I appreciate. The customer area might be small and plain, but it has a certain nostalgic vibe that works well. The breakfast sandwich and fresh-squeezed orange juice were good, while the donut hit the spot. Overall, this location always seems well-stocked with a great selection of fresh items, and the service is fast and friendly. I'm looking forward to our next visit. 🙂

I wasn't sure what to expect at Summer Kitchen Cafe, but the place was highly rated and the parking lot was packed, so I decided to try it for lunch. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed the experience so much that I'm considering returning tomorrow. The cafe has a cozy, homey vibe, and the staff was fantastic. My server was excellent—knowledgeable about the menu, helpful with suggestions, and attentive throughout my meal. Her kindness really stood out. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, which came with fries and a side of jam. The jam added a unique touch that made the sandwich memorable. The menu is extensive and offers breakfast all day, which is a major plus. Although I found the pricing for sides of potatoes and gravy a bit steep for the portion size, and the soup was a tad salty, the overall quality of the food was impressive. My wife's eggs and hash browns were spot on. I was particularly impressed by the cafe's cleanliness and the speed of service. Despite a couple of minor hiccups, I still found the food tasty and the experience worthwhile. If I'm traveling through on I-80 again, I’ll definitely keep this spot in mind.

I visited Summer Kitchen Cafe for breakfast and had a great experience. It was my first time there, and I'm definitely planning to return. The food is fresh and wholesome; I even took home a loaf of raisin bread that my friend enjoyed with her scrambled eggs. I ordered a Swiss mushroom burger, which was delicious and the portion was so generous that I had leftovers. The atmosphere is nice, and I appreciated the self-service aspect, like getting your own utensils and coffee. It took a bit to get used to, but it was worth it. We found our own table and decided what to order, then placed our order at the counter. My husband ordered the 3 Eggs meal with hashbrowns, toast, and bacon, and he loved it. The eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked, and the hashbrowns were crispy. I couldn't resist the French Toast Sampler, which included slices of Authentic, Raisin, and Cinnamon toast. The Cinnamon was my favorite—just amazing. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and quite possibly the best I've had. My kids were thrilled with their meals too. My little one had the Cowpoke with mini pancakes, scrambled egg, sausage, and bacon, and every bit was devoured. My daughter chose the Ham Scram, which came with a fresh-baked raspberry muffin that she loved. The coffee was fresh and flavorful, and I added an espresso shot, which was a nice touch. If you love iced tea, theirs is definitely worth trying. Overall, it was one of the best breakfasts we've had as a family, and we're all eager to go back!

Y'all!! I'm visiting from coastal North Carolina to see my daughter and family, and I stopped by Jimmy's Egg for breakfast after dropping my grandkids at school. Normally, I steer clear of corned beef hash because it often tastes canned, but being in the Midwest, I decided to give it a shot. Oh. My. Goodness!! It was the best I've ever had! I wish I could take some back for my husband. I'll definitely return before I leave on Monday. My server was fantastic, and the coffee was amazing! I'm even considering buying a coffee mug to take home. Having been the first customer at this location over 14 years ago, I've seen all the wonderful changes and improvements. Despite trying out new places, I keep coming back here. The staff is friendly, professional, and very attentive. Sitting at the counter, I watch the talented cooks operate a well-organized kitchen, which is impeccably clean. The food is consistently great in quantity, quality, and presentation. They truly care about what they serve. My only suggestion would be to bring back the steak & eggs, but overall, I feel confident recommending this location to anyone. With over 14 years of consistent service, Jimmy's Egg knows how to make breakfast fantastic. This trip was amazing, and our server was on point and so cheerful. The ham and cheese sandwich was incredible, even outshining their California Sandwich. We will definitely be back!

On my visit to Jimmy's Egg in Omaha for breakfast, I was seated quickly and felt welcomed by the friendly staff. Despite it being a busy Sunday morning, our server was attentive, checking in on us and pouring coffee while we waited for our meal. When my food arrived, it wasn't as hot as I'd prefer, but that's just my personal taste. I like my food to stay hot as I eat, but I understand that can be a personal preference. One thing I appreciated was how the server handled the situation. Noticing I hadn't eaten much of my meal, she offered a discount on my ticket, which was very thoughtful and showed great customer care. The restaurant had a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and the menu was quite extensive, with prices that seemed fair compared to other places. However, I did notice that the bathroom could have been cleaner, and it would be great if it was checked more regularly throughout the day. It's important for both customers and staff to have a clean environment. Overall, the staff was really nice and should be rewarded for their hard work. I would recommend trying their chipotle mayo; that was delicious! Our server Jackie was amazing and very helpful. I look forward to returning and hope to have her as my server again.

Starbucks is always my top choice for breakfast, especially in Omaha. The variety of vegan milk options like almond, oat, and soy milk makes it easy to customize my drink to perfection. The atmosphere is consistently relaxed, making it a great spot to enjoy a coffee, unwind, or get some work done. The staff is generally friendly, and the service is quick, which adds to the overall positive experience. What truly stood out during my recent visit was the exceptional service. The team went above and beyond, touching my heart with their kindness and attentiveness. It truly made my day. While the location is convenient and inviting, it's clear that working there might have its challenges, as the manager didn’t seem to prioritize her employees' well-being. On the downside, the 72nd & Dodge location occasionally messes up orders. During my visit, they accidentally used my granddaughter's points, and despite acknowledging the error, they didn’t correct it. It was a bit disappointing, but it didn’t overshadow the quality of the food and drinks, which are consistently warming and satisfying. Overall, aside from those occasional hiccups, Starbucks remains a reliable spot for a good breakfast and coffee.

This morning, I had breakfast with my family at Bruegger's Bagels in Omaha and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our cashier, CC, was terrific, handling our orders for four bagels smoothly and quickly. I ordered the Farmhouse Bagel, and it was perfectly toasted with a great combination of ingredients. The hash browns baked on top were an unexpected but savory addition, and the Country Pepper cream cheese was delightful. I also tried the Hot Pastrami bagel from the lunch menu, and it was delicious, with fresh pastrami on an Everything bagel, which was a perfect choice. The experience was great overall, thanks to the friendly staff and the clean environment. They offer tons of options, and I ended up getting a skinny white, turkey chipotle, and a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese for the little one. Everything hit the spot! The brisket and jalapeño cream cheese combination is a must-try. I did notice the person taking orders seemed a bit overwhelmed, and we had to repeat our requests a few times. It took some time to get our food, but given how busy it was, it's understandable. I also took a couple of sandwiches home, but unfortunately, neither of our sandwiches was correct, which was disappointing. Even so, the experience at this branch was excellent overall—clean, fast, and friendly. I can’t wait to come back for more great fresh bagels for breakfast or lunch.

I've loved Amigos since I was a kid, so I always have pretty high expectations when visiting any location. However, my experience at this spot somehow exceeded all of those. Jenn, who took our order and handed out the food, was incredibly pleasant and thorough from the moment we walked in. She asked questions to ensure our order was correct and even offered us water cups with our meals. As always with Amigos, the food was delicious. If I could give six stars, I would. It was also nice to see the salsa bar back for dine-in customers. Jenn was amazing, especially since we had our five kids with us. She offered to help fill their drinks and even spelled out "ice cream" to avoid getting them too excited before dinner. If I could give her ten stars, I would! It's great to see good service is still around, and I hope her managers see this review and pass along how well she's doing. The food at Amigos is simple and inexpensive Tex-Mex that hits the spot every time, and they've never messed up my order. The taco salad is filling and tastes great with either ranch or zesty ranch dressing. The quesadilla burrito is delicious, especially with a side of queso. Seriously, it's a simple and yummy lunch.

I visited Perkins in Carter Lake, Iowa, for breakfast after picking up my husband from the airport, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The late-night timing worked in our favor, as the staff was incredibly friendly and light-hearted, making us feel welcome immediately. The food was delicious. I had the strawberry crepes, which were a perfect balance of sweet and not overly sweet strawberries, and my husband enjoyed his hearty three-egg meal. It was refreshing to get both bacon and sausages on the same plate without extra charges, and the white buttered toast was so good, I couldn't resist eating five pieces. The service stood out as much as the food. Our waitress was attentive and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. It's now one of my go-to spots for a late-night bite, especially since it came recommended for its good food and excellent customer service. I definitely plan on returning, and if the daytime experience doesn't match up, we'll just stick to those late-night visits. Thanks for a great experience!
