Kolaches And Coffee in Overland Park is a breakfast gem! The Kolaches are absolutely delicious, and the coffee is just as good. If you go, you have to try the Affogato—it's amazing and a must-try treat! The service here is fantastic, with warm food and personal touches like stamps on the kolaches. I've tried multiple kolaches and can't pick a favorite. The lattes are great, with a nice variety to choose from. There's plenty of seating and parking, making it an easy spot to visit. I found this place on Yelp and loved it so much that I had to come back and share my experience. This time, I enjoyed the Mexican and Veggie kolaches with a chai latte. The Mexican kolache has a perfect spice level from the chorizo and tastes incredibly fresh. The dough is soft and chewy, and they warm them just right in-store. I also tried the Texan—it was like a breakfast plate in a compact form. This place is really cute and has a nice vibe. I've visited both during the weekday early morning and around lunchtime on the weekend. Even when busy, it wasn't overwhelming. I recommend trying this place; it's definitely worth it! The coffee bar offers a variety of drinks, so there's something for everyone. I can't wait to go back and try more kolache flavors. I even took a blueberry open kolache home for the next morning. The staff is kind and gives great recommendations too. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this spot!

Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken in Overland Park has impressed me on a couple of visits now. The food is consistently hot and fresh, which is always a plus. While there were some minor issues, like the tater tots being a bit too salty and greasy, especially as a side, there were definite highlights that stood out during my meals. The blueberry biscuit with chicken was a fantastic combination of sweet and salty flavors that truly redeemed the meal for me. On my first visit, the blueberry sausage biscuit was enjoyable, though a touch on the sweeter side than I expected. On my second visit, I tried a custom cheddar biscuit with fried chicken and honey mustard, and it was absolutely delicious. The cheddar biscuit was flavorful, and the chicken was fried to perfection. The fried okra deserves a special mention; it was perfectly cooked and delicious on both trips. I also enjoyed the chicken and grits and the sweet country blues biscuit, where the eggs were perfectly runny, and the flavors were well-balanced. Service was excellent, with fast and friendly staff, and the location was clean. My only suggestion would be to consider using a different type of lettuce instead of iceberg. Overall, the food is fantastic, and I genuinely wish there was a place like this back home in California.

Urban Egg is my new favorite spot for breakfast in Overland Park! The service was excellent and the food even better. I loved that they were dog-friendly, making it a perfect stop after the vet with my furry friend. Dining on the patio with my dog was a real treat. Sean, my server, was fantastic, as was the hostess, who reminded me of Viola Davis. It was my first time visiting Urban Egg, and I’ll definitely be back. I tried the garden bowl with chicken sausage—the flavors were spot on. The simple breakfast with bacon was a solid choice too. The eggs were cooked perfectly. We also added a pancake, which was fluffy and huge, along with a side of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were light and flaky, and the gravy was creamy and well-seasoned. While the Lavender and Maui mimosas weren't my favorites, I’ll stick to classic mimosas next time. Shawn, a new server, was very attentive and helpful, making it a great first experience. Kelvin also provided top-notch service. I enjoyed a breakfast taco while the kids loved their pipsqueak pancakes, and my best friend raved about the French Toast. Everything was perfectly portioned with great balance between salty and sweet. Urban Egg offers a great variety of savory and sweet dishes, along with good drinks. Shawn did an amazing job, and I hope he’s our server every time!

During my stay at the Marriott nearby, I decided to have breakfast at Shack Breakfast & Lunch in Overland Park, and I was really impressed. From the moment I walked in, Jessica P. was very sweet and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. The menu offered a wide range of breakfast and brunch options, and everything looked so tempting. I settled on the avocado toast with a side of fruit, and added Greek yogurt and granola—it was all excellent. I'm normally quite picky about coffee in restaurants, but I took a chance this time and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. While they were moderately busy, service was quick, and I didn't have to wait to be seated. I also tried the corned beef hash, and it was decent, though the meat could've been a bit fresher. Overall, the food choices were great, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant had some interesting decor. My wife and I both thought, "Wow! This place is really good," and we can't wait to see one open near Tiffany Springs. It was a wonderful breakfast experience before heading home, and I look forward to trying something different next time.

First Watch in Overland Park is a great spot for breakfast. While the food wasn't piping hot, it was still enjoyable, especially the extra crispy bacon, which was cooked to perfection. Although the location isn't as cozy as some others, the attentive waitress and overall good food made up for it. The staff was really accommodating, especially with our allergy needs. They marked our food with special allergy flags, which made us feel much more comfortable. The seasonal dishes are always a highlight, adding fun and interesting options to the menu. You also can't go wrong with their classic dishes. The drinks are engaging, and the staff is both fast and courteous. The decor might be simple, but it's unique and tasteful. I tried an omelette that was delicious, though the avocado was a bit off. Even though the coffee wasn't great, there's a bowlful of creamers on the table to help with that. And while the grits could use a touch of salt, overall, it's a must-visit spot for breakfast.

McLain's Market Overland Park is a fantastic spot for breakfast if you're in the area. The Smoked Salmon Toast was a standout, with light cream cheese and perfect garnishes, though it wasn't very filling. The Fried Egg Sandwich had great sourdough and a delicious runny egg. The Biscuit and Gravy were soft and flavorful, and the Berry Iced Tea was a refreshing choice. Despite a bit of a hiccup with ordering pastries through the drive-through, where it was hard to hear the staff and they were out of many items, the experience was saved by the amazing food. The Farm Sandwich and Pepper Jacket Burrito were filling, and the No Meat-o Burrito was packed with veggies and eggs, rich in flavor. I loved the cherry Danish, which was flaky and sweet with a tart cherry filling. The raspberry danish, my favorite treat, was sold out, but Greg from the staff was incredibly thoughtful. He suggested a lemon poppy seed raspberry muffin as an alternative and even surprised me with a butter roll and raspberry jam. His kindness and suggestion to order online to secure my favorite treat next time was appreciated. The ambiance, service, and treats at McLain's are top-notch. With excellent coffee, food, and baked goods across several locations, McLain's is a must-visit. Thanks to Greg and the team for making it a great experience. Highly recommend checking it out!

Flapjacks 'n More in Overland Park is just what I look for in a breakfast spot. There's a perfect balance between new-age breakfast and lunch decor and the classic diner setting. The dining room was extremely clean, and from what I could see, the kitchen was spotless too. The food was excellent, and my daughter and I both ended up joining the clean plate club. I tried the Denver omelet, and it was hands down the best omelet I've ever had, even though I can't quite describe how it was made. Of course, the pancakes were perfect as well. We both ordered Flapjack specials - one with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and juice, and the other with french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and juice. We enjoyed every bite. The service really stood out. Julia, our server, was fantastic. She had a natural ease that made me feel confident we would have received exceptional service no matter how busy the place was. We visited on a slow Tuesday morning, but her attention and friendliness made the experience even better. We were greeted warmly at the door and seated immediately. Manuel, another server, was also attentive and friendly, ensuring our hot food came out just as we ordered. If we lived closer, this would definitely be one of our regular breakfast spots. Four thumbs up, and a big thank you to the team at Flapjacks 'n More!

My bestie and I had a girls' day and decided to stop by Best Regards Bakery & Cafe, and it was absolutely delicious! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly nice and helpful with recommendations. We started with soup and club sandwiches on croissants, which were amazing. We couldn't resist getting a tray full of baked goods, and the French silk cannoli became my instant favorite! After wanting to visit for so long, I finally made it while in town visiting family from Colorado and on a work trip, and the experience lived up to my expectations. I also tried the avocado chicken salad, which was fantastic and reasonably priced, and the pie bar is a special bonus. My parents loved their orders too and are already planning to return soon. I was fortunate to meet Robert, who runs the place with his wife—they're doing everything right to ensure you have a great experience. This is the best cozy lunch spot, and the staff truly make you feel like family every time. I've never had a bad meal or dessert here; everything has been spectacular. I particularly love the wedge salad and their soups. They serve the best cinnamon rolls in Johnson County, and I can't wait to come back and try more pastries because everything looks so good!

First Watch in Overland Park is a top-notch breakfast spot that never disappoints. I've been there for both breakfast and lunch, and everything is always fantastic. The breakfast, especially the Bacado omelet recommended by Maikla, was delicious and full of flavor. The service is fast and friendly, thanks to Maikla and Juvia, who made the experience even more enjoyable. I appreciate how quickly the food arrived, hot and ready to enjoy. Although it's not their fault, the eco cups tend to leak at the rim seam, which can be a bit annoying. If it's possible, they should consider reaching out to the cup manufacturers to fix the design. Other than that, everything was perfect. I love that they leave a drink bottle at the table so you can refill as needed, especially handy for someone who drinks a lot of water. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice, from the waitress to the guy who checked us in. We accidentally went to the wrong location, but he helped us get a table at the right place. The atmosphere is great, and it feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. During my visit to Kansas City, First Watch was highly recommended for brunch, and it lived up to the hype. The hostess was very friendly and seated us promptly. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, suggesting the pear punch, which was amazing. For food, I ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which was truly delicious with its combination of eggs, avocado, cheese, and bacon. My wife ordered the smoked salmon and vegetable frittata with cheesy grits, and she loved it. I got a taste, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was reasonably priced, and we enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day to a different location, which also delivered on taste and quality. I highly recommend First Watch for anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot.

The coffee was excellent, and the cozy atmosphere made it a great place to start the day. My daughter wanted me to give it a try, and I’m glad we did. I ordered a plain bagel with cinnamon-sugar cream cheese, which was tasty, but I wished I had gone for the smoked salmon bagel instead. Her smoked salmon bagel with vegan cream cheese looked delicious, and I was amazed that the vegan cream cheese tasted just like regular cream cheese. I wanted to find a solid breakfast spot, so we decided to try Santa Fe Cafe in Overland Park. The large parking lot made starting our day stress-free, and we were seated quickly thanks to plenty of available seating. The menu was full of tempting options, so we ordered several dishes to get a good taste of what they offer. The service was fantastic, and our food came out promptly. I didn’t have a single complaint about anything I tasted. The French toast stood out as my favorite, but the pancakes were also impressive. If you're searching for a local spot to grab a hearty breakfast, this is the place. It’s clean, roomy, and boasts a friendly atmosphere with staff that keep your coffee cup full. The café was moderately busy around 10 am on a Saturday, and though the service seemed a touch slow at first, it was understandable given the crowd. We tried the Conestoga from the big cowboy breakfast selection and the Irish Benedict breakfast. We even treated ourselves to a cinnamon roll to-go, which was a hit. Both breakfasts were satisfying and well-prepared, offering a good balance of portion size and cost. Interestingly, the silverware felt quite comfortable to hold—a quirky but nice detail. Our meals arrived fresh and hot, proving they don't rush at the expense of quality. We’re definitely excited to return and try more menu items. The place feels like a little-known gem with its wonderful breakfast offerings. For us, it’s well worth the 30-minute drive. With excellent food, reasonable prices, and the freshness of the fruit served, Santa Fe Cafe is a spot we'll happily visit again and again.

The menu is full of specialty entrees and classics, making it hard to choose. The atmosphere is welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff is friendly and attentive, which is really important to me. I initially stopped by with my mom for a quick coffee before a nail appointment nearby, but we were so intrigued by the menu that we ended up ordering more. One of the standout features for me was the variety of options, especially since I have a dairy allergy.
