Heavenly Cakes
1007 Harbor Blvd, Oxnard

Raniem Andradez
Heavenly Cakes is my go-to bakery for every special occasion, and they never disappoint! For my wedding, they made a stunning and delicious cake. Olivia's communication was excellent, and she even delivered it to our venue for a small fee, which was super convenient. The cake for my 50th birthday was exactly what I envisioned, with perfect colors and toppers. It was moist, and the frosting had just the right sweetness. The price was unbeatable too. When I needed a promotion cake on short notice, Olivia exceeded my expectations with a beautiful and tasty creation. Her dedication and care truly shine through in every order. My daughter's owl-themed birthday cake was another masterpiece—adorable, moist, and had that magical light frosting. Even when I had to change the order date, Olivia was understanding and accommodating. Heavenly Cakes is a family-owned gem that offers great products and service. I always leave satisfied and look forward to ordering more cakes. Plus, their donuts are consistently fantastic!
Anacappuccino

Anacappuccino is a charming spot for breakfast in Oxnard. The cafe specializes in delicious coffee drinks, and I thoroughly enjoyed my hot caramel macchiato. They use a local roaster's blend, which adds a special touch to the coffee. The breakfast sandwiches are good, though they do sell out quickly, so it's best to arrive early. The indoor and outdoor seating options are a plus, allowing guests to choose their preferred dining atmosphere. I visited during a road trip, and the two ladies working there were super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The soy milk latte I had was on the lighter side but still enjoyable. The coffee-themed decor throughout the store is adorable and the bookshelf filled with little reads adds a welcoming touch. Overall, it's a delightful place to start your day with a good cup of coffee and a pleasant ambiance.
Spudnuts Donuts

I've enjoyed many donuts at Spudnuts Donuts in Oxnard, and the service has consistently been good. I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of their iced coffee; typically, donut shops don't nail the coffee, but here both hot and cold brews are spot on. There's no need for a Starbucks run afterward! This is one of the better Spudnuts locations I've visited. It's clean, organized, and the staff is super friendly. I went on a Wednesday around 12:45, and there were plenty of goodies to choose from. I got a donut and donut holes and only spent $3— the prices are amazing. I highly recommend this specific location for a great experience. The donuts are fresh and delicious, clearly made daily with care. The first time trying this place, I was very impressed. They also offer giant donuts, which I didn't try this time, but the variety is impressive. Overall, it's a cute place with a great atmosphere and quality offerings.
Luna Grill Oxnard
691 Collection Blvd Suite 1100, Oxnard

Nazy Elias
Luna Grill in Oxnard is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys a blend of Turkish and Lebanese cuisine, especially if you're a fan of kabobs. The meat and salad are tasty and well-cooked, and the hummus is absolutely delicious. I appreciate that the pitta bread is served warm, which is a big plus for me. While the salad dressing wasn't to my liking due to a strong vinegar taste, the overall meal was satisfying. The chicken kabobs are particularly well-cooked and seasoned, making them a must-try. What really stood out was the service. Laurie, who helped us during our visit, was incredibly welcoming and guided us through the best flavors on the menu. The outdoor seating area added a refreshing vibe to our meal, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hibiscus drink mixed with lemonade. Although the rice was a bit dry and tasteless, the Greek salad made up for it by being fresh and savory. I'm also thrilled that there are both meat and vegetarian options available, which suits a variety of diets. I decided to try the new lemon garlic chicken, and it was delicious! While some may find it a bit pricey, the quality and taste of the food, along with a clean and welcoming atmosphere, make Luna Grill a worthy choice for a meal. It's an ideal spot for getting together with a friend to enjoy savory and tangy flavors. Plus, there are great rewards if you download the app!

What a nice place to enjoy a meal. The staff were all friendly, and the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean, and the seating was comfortable. They have the tables separated, so you don't feel like other people are sitting on top of you. The cinnamon rolls are so darn good! The food tasted fresh, and the potatoes O'Brien were cooked to perfection! They really know how to cook here. The food was great, almost perfect across the board. The cook got the burger patty just right upon request, and the fries are out of this world. Ample portions and relatively low to average cost for a surplus of good food. The atmosphere is a bit generic, and there's an odd insistence about seating in the establishment, but it wasn't overly busy, so seating flexed a little for us. Overall, 4/5, would recommend. Loved the food selections for our table. Everyone loved the food and service. The atmosphere was good, but the space between seating areas didn't have a feeling of separation or privacy. Decor was unmemorable. My kids loved this place. My oldest ordered the kids' chicken tenders and said, "I'd give them infinite stars if it looked nicer." Lol, harsh but honest! We'll definitely return.
The Best Breakfast
5141 Saviers Rd, Oxnard
(805) 271-1113
Quinn Patel
I had a great experience at The Best Breakfast in Oxnard. It's an awesome spot for a quick bite with fast service and generous portions. Even though it was busy when we arrived, we were seated in just 15 minutes. I tried the huevos rancheros and was pleased with the flavor. They excel in breakfast Mexican dishes but still offer tasty American options. On a Sunday morning, it was easy to find parking, and the staff was attentive, quickly cleaning up when I spilled my water. The portions are reasonable, as are the prices. The chicken in the sandwich was delicious, not tough like at other places. After a long hike, the food hit the spot perfectly. I came with my grandkids, and we were seated right away even though the place was packed. Our waitress was friendly, and everything we ordered looked and tasted great. I would definitely stop by again when traveling north from Los Angeles.
Honey Cup Coffeehouse & Creamery
3500 Harbor Blvd Ste. 1-105 1-105, Oxnard
(805) 204-0008

We've been visiting Honey Cup Coffeehouse & Creamery every day for a week, giving us plenty of chances to try their bakery items, sandwiches, and, of course, their amazing coffee. The harbor view, outdoor seating, and interior are all refreshing, and the service is excellent, thanks to the friendly staff like Danny, Myranda, Emily, Nita, Melissa, and Sienna. On weekends, when it's bustling, the bakery shines with treats like a crème brûlée croissant that’s simply to die for. We've tried several pastries—the cinnamon bun, berry muffin, honey biscuit, and lemon-poppyseed scone. While they're all great, my personal favorites are the lemon scone and that heavenly custard-filled croissant. The TBC sandwich was a hit, and we really enjoyed all the sandwich options. Their gelato leans more towards ice cream in texture but is equally delicious. When searching for the best coffee in Oxnard, Honey Cup stands out. The prices are reasonable, and the location is perfect. There are numerous choices for coffee, food, and pastries, with ample parking. You can grab a coffee and enjoy a stroll along the harbor—it's beautiful! I had a cold brew coffee with lavender sweet cold foam and a sandwich, which reminded me of the charming cafes I visited in Korea. The staff is super friendly, and while I wish the theme was more pronounced, it’s still a delightful place. I ordered a lavender latte and an espresso chocolate cookie, both excellent. I wish they stayed open later because this would be a fantastic date spot with the right atmosphere. I've visited twice, and each time was great! During my first visit a few years back, I had their delicious waffle bowl, and my fiancé had a breakfast sandwich, which he loved. I tried their honey latte, which was amazing! On our latest visit, we stopped in for a sandwich, had the “TBC,” and practically fought over it—we shared, and that was a mistake! I can't wait to go back!
Jesse's El Taco De Mexico
112 W 7th St, Oxnard
(805) 486-9521
Stanley Stevenson
I dropped by Jesse's El Taco De Mexico in Oxnard for breakfast, and it was a great experience. The first thing I noticed was the hard-working folks running the place. It's a small spot with limited seating, so getting your order to go might be the best plan. The burrito I tried had a slightly chewy tortilla, but everything else in it was really tasty. The beans were especially interesting and delicious. This is a no-frills taco shop, exactly what I was looking for, with good food served on paper plates. They offer Cabeza and Lengua—always a good sign at a taco place—and both meats were tender and flavorful. The onions and cilantro paired well with the salsa verde, and the tortillas had a slight sweetness that complemented everything nicely. Being from San Diego, I came in with certain expectations, and Jesse's definitely met them. If these tacos were served back home, I'd give them a solid 4 out of 5. Though they could cut back on the onions a bit, and I missed having a Mexican Coke, it was all still enjoyable. I'm looking forward to coming back—especially on the weekend to try the Menudo. Plus, their horchata and jamaica are top-notch. This is my go-to taco spot whenever I'm in town. The service is friendly, the food is consistently great, and they're always busy but fast.
Henri's Cafe
1060 S Oxnard Blvd, Oxnard
(805) 486-2303
David Sachez
Henri's Cafe feels like stepping into a scene from a classic movie, with its Pulp Fiction-style diner vibe. The atmosphere is charming and welcoming, offering a cozy spot to enjoy breakfast. One of the first things that stands out is the affordability—great value for the quality and quantity of food. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone, and the coffee is genuinely impressive. It's rare to find a place where the coffee stands out, but Henri's gets it right. The service was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. I enjoyed the 2x2x2x2 breakfast, where the portions were generous, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Despite the long line, it moved quickly, and the staff kept things running smoothly. However, not everything was perfect. The pancakes were a bit tough, with a chewy bottom, which was a slight letdown. But overall, the positives far outweigh this minor drawback. Henri's has a loyal customer base, and it's easy to see why. Even after a second visit, the coffee continued to impress, confirming it's not just above-average diner coffee—it's truly fantastic. This is one of the few sit-down breakfast spots that rival a good home-cooked meal. Henri's is a legit diner experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast with a great atmosphere.
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in Oxnard is my top choice for when I can’t decide where to eat because the food is consistently delicious. The chicken tortilla soup is my go-to on colder days, and I’m a big fan of the peach sangria too. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and our waitress was both friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience. The laid-back, bar-like atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal. There was no wait for a table during lunch, and everyone in my party was happy with their meals. I went for the grilled chicken with lemon, which was satisfying without being too heavy, and I appreciated the quality produce. It was a healthy option that didn’t wreck my diet. The staff had no trouble splitting the check for our group of eight, for which we were very grateful. I’ll definitely be back during my stay in Oxnard. Lazy Dog is also a great pit stop on the way home from the beach. I love that they offer affordable, healthy options for dogs, with choices like chicken or beef, brown or white rice, and veggies. My dog and I enjoyed a lovely, peaceful dinner. The hospitality here is some of the best I've experienced. Our server, Eddie, was amazing, and the manager took the time to greet everyone. It’s an 11/10 for service in my book. They also offer a fantastic happy hour menu with a great lineup of appetizers. The garlic parmesan chips are a standout, so make sure to arrive early to enjoy them.
IHOP
747 W Channel Islands Blvd, Port Hueneme
(805) 984-9800
Fish Tacos Olusola
I was truly impressed with the customer service at IHOP in Oxnard during our breakfast visit. Our waiter was attentive and quick, and the food was awesome. Since I don't eat pork, the waiter suggested turkey bacon, which I appreciated. This IHOP exceeded our expectations. We've visited a few times while staying at our beach house, and it's usually crowded, but this time we went around 10 a.m. and got seated right away. The service was excellent! Our server was not only friendly but also proactive, keeping our iced tea refilled without us having to ask. My husband tried the classic Eggs Benedict, and it was perfectly done. I chose the classic French Toast with a side of bacon and sausages, and it was incredibly soft, fluffy, and delicious. The breakfast vibe here is very family-friendly, with many tables filled with kids. On a previous visit, our family of 40 called ahead, and the staff handled our large group smoothly. The service was fantastic, and Annette, our server, did an amazing job with our table of 13. The food was served hot and quickly. Although there was a minor issue with a loud customer, it didn't overshadow our experience. Whenever we're at our beach house, we'll definitely come back here. I highly recommend this IHOP for its great food and awesome service!
The Cheesecake Factory
600 Town Center Dr, Oxnard
(805) 278-8878
Hidi Rios
I've been to The Cheesecake Factory in Oxnard twice for breakfast, and I absolutely love it! The cucumber lemonade has quickly become my favorite drink—it's so good! During my last visit, there was a tiny mishap with my sister's water having an old piece of lettuce and my lemonade having a tiny bug, but I wasn't too concerned since it probably came from the mint. These little things won't stop me from going back! We opted for open seating in the high table area, which still offers the full menu and great service. I was thrilled to find a gluten-free bun option for my burger, and I enjoyed a delicious pineapple cocktail, possibly a mule—I forgot the exact name. The Cinnabon cheesecake is a must-try! It's hard to go wrong with anything at The Cheesecake Factory. If you've been, you know what I'm talking about, and if not, it's definitely a place you need to visit. The food's quality is top-notch, from the French dip burger to the sun-dried tomato fettuccine Alfredo with chicken; everything was fantastic. The variety of cheesecakes is mesmerizing, and the flavors really do explode in your mouth. We were too full for dessert, but it was tempting! We went on a busy Friday night and had a 30-50 minute wait, so I'd recommend joining the waitlist before doing some window shopping. The atmosphere was great, but the highlight was definitely the tasty food. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing among 3-5 adults. The chicken basil pasta really impressed me the most. Highly recommend!
Black Bear Diner Ventura
2401 E Harbor Blvd, Ventura
(805) 665-9109
Takeoff Donato
I've been a loyal patron of Black Bear Diner since it opened nearby, and each visit just keeps getting better. The service is consistently excellent, and the food is delicious. One thing I really appreciate is their attention to customer satisfaction—like how they bring me a fresh bottomless iced tea before I've even finished my first one. The portions are generous and always served hot, which is a big plus. The dining area is comfortably air-conditioned, and there's a spacious shaded patio for those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. They also have a special events room available, which is great for community gatherings. Convenience is definitely a strength here, with ample parking and clean bathrooms. It's right by a gas station and Vons Grocery Store, and the 101 freeway is super easy to access. When it comes to food, I highly recommend trying the Cobb salad with spicy crispy chicken topped with blue cheese dressing. Make sure to ask for the salad tossed with the spicy chicken on top for the best experience. For breakfast, you can't go wrong with any choice, but starting with the hot Italian sausage patty as an appetizer is a great idea. After a day at the Ventura Fairgrounds, it was nice to enjoy a hearty meal here. I tried the chicken and waffles combo and was pleasantly surprised by the chicken. My husband chose the fish and chips, though it had a bit too much batter. We returned the next day and sat at the counter, where our waiter, Paul, provided excellent service. We ordered from the "less" menu, which was the perfect amount—meatloaf dinner and chicken fried steak. My cornbread muffin was cold, so I saved it for later. The staff had decorated for Halloween, which added a nice touch. The breakfast offerings are a must-try, and the variety of pancakes, especially the Pina Colada pancakes, stand out. The service is always prompt and attentive. Sheryl, our server, was incredibly kind and efficient. Overall, it's a fantastic place to dine, and I'll definitely be returning. ❤️

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience at the Yard House in Oxnard. This place offers good comfort food, and while it may not be as spectacular as it once was, it certainly provides some great eats. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lively with people happily chatting, which is always a plus. I gave it 4 stars, which I think is pretty good. My food soul was happy, and my company was excellent. It's a great spot for a quick date night, an early dinner, or a meal with the kids. Just be aware that it can get really busy, leading to long waits. They've removed a couple of my favorite items from the menu, and the quality has dipped slightly, but we still enjoy coming here. The menu boasts a wide selection, including burgers, tacos, salads, and pizzas, along with a full bar and a decent kids' menu. I tried the Steak Bowl, and it was tasty! I visited with a group of seven people on a Friday night. We couldn't make reservations, so we had to wait for a table. The service and atmosphere were consistently good. For the price, the value is above average, and the location is nice. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. During a business meal, we had two salmon plates and a chicken sandwich with beer and wine, and we enjoyed the sports on the TVs. They offer an incredible amount of beer on tap, which is always impressive. I've visited many Yard House locations over the years, and their chain management is excellent. I've never been dissatisfied.

Stopped into IHOP for a quick breakfast in Oxnard and had a great experience. The Colorado omelette I ordered was massive and could easily be shared. My friend got the avocado toast with roasted tomatoes and eggs, and we both enjoyed our meals. The pancakes are always a highlight—truly the best and reliably good at any location. The service was fast and efficient, and the environment is consistently comfortable and homey. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great spot for breakfast. The staff have always been kind and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time. Overall, IHOP remains a favorite for a satisfying breakfast.

I had a great experience at Lupita's Bakery #2 in Oxnard for breakfast. The tortas are truly amazing! I tried the shrimp torta with cheese and avocado, and it was fantastic. The mix of gooey cheese and the perfectly toasted roll made for a delicious sandwich. For two people, the meal cost us $30, which was reasonable for the quality and portion size. The location is convenient, and it's a spot I'd recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying breakfast. The food quality stood out to me, especially the tortas. If you're in the area and craving a good sandwich, definitely give this place a try!
Master's Donuts

Chad Snavely
I always make it a point to stop by Master's Donuts for breakfast whenever I'm in town, and I can't get enough of their croissant breakfast sandwiches. They're so good that they keep me coming back despite trying to cut down on sugar. The service is consistently friendly, even if the line can get a bit long during peak times. While parking can be tight, the overall experience makes it worth the visit. The donuts may not be the highlight for me, but those croissant sandwiches are a must-try!
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

Jude Sarjoh
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Oxnard is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The atmosphere is lively, with great music that sets the perfect tone for a good time. The service is consistently amazing, especially when Mariel is your server. I always feel well taken care of. The food and drinks never disappoint; their baked ziti is my go-to dish, but the dumplings I tried this time were also fantastic. I've always had positive experiences here, whether I'm with family or friends. The staff, from Ryan at the bar who always remembers my order, to Dwayne, the manager, who greets me by name and engages in meaningful conversations, truly make each visit special. Alyssa, our waitress, was attentive and sweet, ensuring our table was always looked after. BJ's in Oxnard delivers excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. It's a place I genuinely love and highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
Noah's NY Bagels
1413 S Victoria Ave D, Ventura
(805) 650-1413
Oppenheimer Wright
During my visit to Noah's NY Bagels for breakfast in Oxnard, I had an enjoyable experience with their excellent coffee and delicious bagels. The bagels were incredibly fresh and soft, making them a hit with both the kids and me. Being from New York, finding this spot in Ventura was a delightful surprise. The breakfast sandwiches were tasty, although the service could have been better. The location is quite busy, especially during breakfast hours, so it's not surprising that there's a bit of hustle and bustle. Despite a minor issue with the customer service, the quality of the food really stood out. The jalapeño cheese bagel I tried was flavorful, though it could have used more toppings. In the past, I've also enjoyed their everything bagel. Although seating is limited and the atmosphere can be a bit loud, I look forward to returning. The bagels and coffee are worth the visit, making it a valuable option for breakfast in the area.
