The only complaint I have is that it can be a little pricey, but that comes with the territory of good food. There are no pictures on the menu, and I'm a better visual learner when it comes to food, but the waitress saved me by describing the dishes really well. Great job, everyone! This is my new favorite place—delicious! The Mediterranean Salad was one of the best salads I've ever had, and the dressing was fantastic. And the crepes, oh my! Emma, our waitress, was great and really worked hard handling all the tables. I'll definitely be back, maybe even weekly. This is a wonderful place for breakfast, with so many choices. I can’t believe there aren’t more of these across the country. I hope they can expand soon because it's always crowded, but there's a nice place to sit outside with umbrellas. If you have to wait, it’s well worth it. On our way out of Peoria after a wedding weekend, we were looking for brunch, and Eggcellent Cafe obliged. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to sit outside. There were quite a few flies, which was pretty annoying, but once we ordered, the food came out quickly. The potatoes were a hit and worth picking over any other side. My eggs were delicious, and the Eggcellent house hot sauce is super unique. It’s the right mix of flavor and spice, so it doesn’t overpower the rest of the dish.

It's been a long time since I ate at a diner that just kind of felt like home. As I observed people coming in for lunch, I noticed that a lot of them knew each other. It was heartwarming to see them all talking and catching up, with the regulars meeting up in the corner booth. We arrived around noon, and despite it being quite busy with every table filled, we didn’t have to wait at all for a seat. I was impressed by the teamwork among the staff. I watched as three different people worked together to clear a table—one wiped it off, another straightened the chairs, and another brought menus and silverware for the next guests. The customer service from every employee was top-notch, and it seemed like they genuinely appreciated their regulars. This was our first time eating here, and I decided to try the country fried steak. It was fantastic and came with such a generous portion that it was definitely worth the money! My son got the cheeseburger, and my husband opted for a breakfast skillet. We all enjoyed our meals and agreed that we’d come back again. The parking was a bit limited, but it seemed like there was always one last spot open just for us. It would be great to see this restaurant expand to a bigger building and parking lot in the future. We found this place while on a road trip, looking for breakfast in the PM, and Bartonville Diner fit the bill perfectly. We ordered omelettes and saw some fantastic Midwestern fare being delivered to nearby tables. If I go there again, I might try the walleye. The Popeye (spinach, bacon, and cheese) and German (ham, onion, green pepper, potato, and Swiss cheese) omelettes were great. They came with a choice of hash browns or fries and toast or pancakes. My hash browns and toast were a great addition. I noticed that those who ordered dinner items also received a basket of fresh-baked bread, served with real butter and good coffee. If I had to change anything, I would use real cheese instead of "cheese food" for the omelettes. It was clear the building had once been a fast food place based on the structure, but inside and out, it truly looked like a diner. It’s been there for at least 20 years. I would definitely go there again. Best diner we’ve found with great food, good prices, and fantastic breakfasts!

The staff, from front to back of house, are amazing and attentive, ensuring every visit is enjoyable. They offer a fantastic gluten-free menu and are accommodating with dairy substitutions, using non-dairy vegan cheese if needed. The portion sizes are generous, and the care taken with dietary restrictions and avoiding cross-contamination is commendable. This is, hands down, one of the best restaurants in Peoria. It’s my go-to place whenever I'm in town. The wait staff is always friendly, the place is spotless, and the food is consistently amazing. The BBQ pulled pork pizza is the best pizza I've ever had, and I can't get enough of their hummus and coffee. The vibe is unique, combining elegance with a casual feel, and it brings nothing but good vibes. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-visit. It’s truly a wonderful gem of Peoria.

The roll was yummy, and the food was hot. Everything was delicious, and it's been a long time since I've had such a treat! Even though it was their opening weekend and we expected delays, the staff handled everything brilliantly. They acknowledged the wait, kept us updated, and made sure we were taken care of. The manager even personally brought our order with a heartfelt apology, which was appreciated. They also generously comped our two Bloody Mary drinks. The decor is cozy and features local flair, adding to the charm. The atmosphere was pleasant, and despite the full parking lot, it wasn’t overcrowded inside. I couldn’t be happier with my breakfast experience here. I had the Hercules ham, which came with thick-cut ham and plenty of delicious sides. The house-made hot sauce was a standout—so good, I didn’t even think about reaching for the Tabasco. This was my second breakfast at The 520 Cafe, and I’m already looking forward to trying lunch and dinner. The place is always bustling, but the service remains attentive and efficient. The food is not only tasty but also very affordable. I really appreciate the inviting atmosphere, and I’d encourage anyone to give it a try—you won't regret it! Today was my first time having lunch there, and once again, the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. Everything was served quickly and piping hot. The newly remodeled space is clean and well-organized, with easy handicapped parking and access. The wait staff was attentive, and my coffee cup never ran dry, despite being small.
