Walden's Coffeehouse is a gem in Reno for both breakfast and coffee. The outdoor seating is a serene spot to enjoy a sunny morning with their excellent locally roasted coffee. Inside, the cozy atmosphere buzzes with the lively hum of satisfied customers—a sign of its popularity. Their breakfast menu is a hit, especially the breakfast burrito and avocado toast, which are both delicious and filling. The coffee is consistently great, showing their commitment to quality. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making each visit enjoyable. Shout out to Theresa, the amazing barista who always brightens my day! This spot is perfect whether you want a quiet morning retreat or a vibrant place to meet friends. I highly recommend Walden's. The avocado toast is exceptional—definitely add bacon and a poached egg. The patio offers a friendly environment without the rush of a busy restaurant. We truly love Walden's for its outstanding coffee, surprisingly good food, and fantastic vibe. Everything is fresh and well-prepared. The inspired menu keeps us coming back again and again. I recently ventured into Walden's after hearing so much about it. The cute exterior with umbrella-clad outdoor seating caught my eye. Inside, it's comfortable, albeit a bit noisy when busy—the kitchen is right there with you. The customer service was great. The order taker was friendly, and our food arrived quickly. The espresso was robust and satisfying, and the fresh-squeezed OJ was perfectly pulpy. The dirty pumpkin spice chai latte was a standout—I savored it all day! The food was the real star. The MacWaldens breakfast sandwich is now a top favorite, with a perfectly seasoned sausage patty and sharp cheddar. The "super" bacon burrito was substantial and flavorful, even if it required some maneuvering to get a perfect bite. I'm eager to return and recommend Walden's to fellow coffee lovers.

Walden's Coffeehouse is a gem in Reno. As a coffee enthusiast, I'm always on the hunt for a great brew, and the medium roast black coffee here is the best I've found in Nevada. The service is top-notch, and there's a safe, cool vibe that makes you feel right at home. Justin, our waiter, was particularly knowledgeable about Matcha, which impressed me. The signage outside could be improved since it might look closed during the day, but inside, it's a different story. I ordered a large matcha latte with marshmallow flavor and almond milk, and it was incredible. We also shared a breakfast burrito that was delicious and big enough for two. Ordering at the counter is easy, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was a refreshing complement to our meal. This place is my favorite breakfast spot in Reno. The food never disappoints, and their blended drinks are the creamiest and most delicious I've ever had.
The Cup Café

I had a great experience at The Cup Café for breakfast in Reno. Everything was well-cooked and tasted good. My beef dipper was a bit bland on its own, but the pickle brought it to life. The hash browns were rich, and the fries were perfectly crispy! The café looks small from the outside, and most of the parking was full, so I was pleasantly surprised by the nice waiting area inside. We didn't have to wait long, and the cute country-style decor added to the charm. The food was good overall. My omelette was packed with meat, which was a big plus. The biscuit, however, wasn't quite fluffy enough, and I wasn't a fan of the gravy—might have been the type of sausage they used. But my spouse enjoyed his meal, including the gravy, so it might just be personal preference. I've been here twice now, and the Breakfast Burrito and Quesadilla are both highly recommended. The staff is friendly, and the café has a welcoming atmosphere. On a Tuesday morning visit, we got seated right away, and the eggs benedict were perfect. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great value for the price, and the coffee really hit the spot. I'll definitely return and try their lunch offerings. Come hungry because the portions are sure to fill you up! Overall, it's a delightful breakfast spot with excellent food.
Sprinkle Donuts

As soon as we walked into Sprinkle Donuts in Reno, we were welcomed by a cheerful employee with excellent customer service skills—this alone will bring me back. There’s a wide selection of donuts, like red velvet and old-fashioned, plus three different flavors of donut holes, and they even offer breakfast croissants. We couldn't wait and started eating them as soon as we got in the car—they were delicious! I went for the first time with my mom, and Victor made a great impression by greeting us warmly, as though he already knew us. He was patient, gave us helpful suggestions for our Cappuccino order, and overall offered superb customer service. The filled donuts impressed me the most, with the lemon one standing out for its zesty flavor, mixing just the right amount of sweetness and sourness. It’s probably the best fruit-flavored donut I’ve ever had. I'm thrilled to have discovered Sprinkle Donuts. The staff is friendly, and the donuts are excellent. My kids look forward to our Saturday morning treat, and this donut shop never lets us down. It's the only donut shop we’ll be visiting from now on. Thank you!
Two Chicks

We had breakfast at Two Chicks in Reno before heading back to the Bay Area, and it was a great experience! We were seated quickly and received excellent service. I even treated myself to a zipper hoodie. The butternut squash porridge was interesting—more like a sweet soup with cinnamon, but enjoyable. The portions were just right, and the food overall was fantastic. I visited during Hot August Nights, and even with the busy atmosphere, the service was friendly and efficient. My Chilaquiles Verde was flavorful, and the menu was impressively extensive. Though there was a bit of a wait for our four-person order, our server was accommodating and took care of everything. My huevos rancheros arrived cold, but they quickly made a fresh one for me. The BLT sandwich was fresh and delicious, and the hot oatmeal with chia and peanut butter was very satisfying. The Parmesan hash browns were a particular standout—so good! Overall, the breakfast was excellent, with great food, service, and a charming atmosphere. I would 100% stop by again, and I recommend it to anyone in the area.
PJ & Company

On a sunny Sunday morning, I headed to PJ & Company in Reno for a late breakfast/brunch, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. Despite a wait of 30 to 35 minutes for a table, the pleasant weather and efficient staff made it a breeze. Once seated, the attentive waitstaff quickly took our beverage and food orders. Though it took a little while for our food to arrive, it was absolutely worth it. I indulged in the Primavera Omelet, which was perfectly fluffy and had just the right amount of veggies. The house potatoes were delicious, and the sourdough toast was delightfully chewy. My walk from the Silver Legacy, about 25 minutes away, was well rewarded with one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Reno. The home fries were made from real potatoes, not the frozen kind, adding to the meal's authenticity. The homemade biscuits were a treat, too. Sitting outside on the patio was a pleasant experience, enhanced by the warm, polite, and friendly service. My dining companions enjoyed the Veggie Quiche served croissant sandwich-style, and the Open Faced Steak Sandwiches cooked to a perfect medium rare, complete with Au Jus. With a huge menu offering delicious choices like cheese burgers and grilled cheese with bacon and tomato, this hidden gem caters to all tastes. Plus, the complimentary chips and salsa are a nice touch. PJ & Company is a must-visit in Reno, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning for more!
The Human Bean
3380 Kietzke Ln, Reno
(775) 413-3250
Chioma Ayers
The mocha here is incredible—thanks to the wonderful staff who make it with such care. Highly recommend! As a Dutch Bros coffee lover to the core, I was hesitant to try The Human Bean, but they are just as delicious. They have plenty of sugar-free or zero sugar flavors, which I appreciate. I'll definitely be a returning customer. This is my third time here, and I've been getting the same 16oz americano. I initially thought it tasted like decaf, but I realized I was just asking for it the wrong way. All I wanted was a stronger coffee, and they were more than accommodating. This has to be the best non-local coffee shop chain in the greater northern Nevada area. The staff is amazing—very knowledgeable and polite. The location is excellent, and every visit is always a great positive experience. Thank you for all that you do. Keep up the good work!
Hometown Café
9251 Lemmon Dr, Reno
(775) 972-5354
Sue Jackson
Hometown Café in Reno has the most amazing breakfast food! I absolutely loved the BLT with avocado, and the French Toast waffles with caramel sauce were super yummy. We visited from Oklahoma and were blown away by the great food and service. The wait staff was incredibly nice and attentive, offering everything we needed before we even had to ask, even during the busy breakfast brunch rush hour. Supporting small businesses is important to us, and this place exceeded all expectations. The prime rib, eggs, potatoes, and toast were delicious and much better priced than other places we tried. Everything we ordered was fantastic, and special mention goes to the biscuits with honey. It's definitely one of the top breakfast and brunch spots around. The staff was always friendly and checked on us often, enhancing the overall experience. The price is right for the portions you receive, and my family and I always leave happy and full. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and service!
Cafe Central
407 N Virginia St, Reno

The Silver Legacy hotel offers some great dining options, and Central Cafe is definitely one of my favorites. They have a diverse menu featuring classic breakfast items like steak and eggs, alongside Asian-inspired dishes. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is delicious with reasonable prices. During our visit for my mom’s 60th birthday, our server, Laxmi, was amazing. She was so friendly and made our morning special with her warm personality and fun jokes. We were so impressed by her that we’re considering another visit before heading home. We only waited about 10 minutes to be seated, which was great. I ordered the chilaquiles and French toast. The chilaquiles were nice, although next time, I might skip the pico de gallo as the tomatoes seemed wilted. The French toast had a hard texture, more like crispy toast with butter and honey, rather than fluffy. Other dishes we tried were mostly good; the fettuccine Alfredo was a bit soupy and lacked flavor, possibly because it was late at night. However, the patty melt and kids’ sliders were excellent, and the French fries with ranch were delicious. Despite some slow service at times, the overall experience was positive, and I'm looking forward to returning.
Sunrise Cafe
18603 Wedge Pkwy # A, Reno

Armain Noe
Sunrise Cafe is amazing for breakfast! My steak omelette was packed with real, juicy steak. They grill a fantastic strip steak and slice it perfectly for the omelette. The Reuben looked delicious as well. The food is well-prepared, and the portions are generous. The menu offers a wide variety of choices. It's definitely a hidden gem in South Reno. I absolutely loved the vibe here. The manager was incredibly sweet and recommended a drink that I now absolutely love. The staff is amazing, and the manager is top tier. It's definitely one of my new favorite spots in Reno. I’m so glad I made the 30-minute drive when I was starving. I'll be back for sure!
Archie's Giant Hamburgers & Breakfast
2195 N Virginia St, Reno
(775) 322-9595
Dominique Sanchez
I'm pretty picky when it comes to diner-type food, but it's clear why Archie's Giant Hamburgers & Breakfast is a local favorite! The service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Hotcake combo, and my friend went for the chicken fried steak. My pancakes were fluffy, the bacon was juicy and flavorful, and the eggs were cheesy and creamy. My friend found the chicken fried steak to be delightful. Four stars because the veggies in the omelet were chopped a bit too large for my liking, and the hash browns lacked seasoning, but better under-seasoned than over-seasoned. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was top-notch. Once seated, the service was prompt, and the food arrived quickly. The atmosphere was clean, and the food was fresh. I've never had a bad meal at Archie's. Every breakfast item is outstanding, and the salads and sandwiches are great too—I especially like the Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich. Their giant hamburgers never disappoint, and the coffee is always hot. It's conveniently close to UNR, making it one of my favorite spots in Reno. Definitely recommend stopping by for a reasonably priced diner meal.
Pine State Biscuits | Reno
200 S Center St, Reno
(775) 432-2464
Aaron Spohnbowers-Hallen
Pine State Biscuits in Reno is a great spot for breakfast, combining both indoor and outdoor seating options. While the place was packed and we had a bit of a wait, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Although there was a mix-up with our order—they forgot the extra eggs and the delivery of our dishes was staggered—the overall quality of the food won us over. As someone from North Carolina, I was thrilled to find biscuits that reminded me of home. I ordered the Reggie, which is a tasty combination of a stacked chicken breast, bacon, and cheese biscuit topped with sausage gravy. I even added extra gravy and treated myself to a lemon meringue pop tart with a cup of coffee. Everything was delicious and well worth the price. I also noticed a nod to North Carolina's heritage with references to local favorites like Cheerwine. Though they don't serve it here, it's a fun touch that adds authenticity to the experience. Despite the hiccups with our order and a few items running out, I’m excited to return and try the BBQ biscuit with pulled pork and slaw. This restaurant has strong potential, and I'm looking forward to exploring more of their menu.
Black Bear Diner
2323 S Virginia St, Reno
(775) 827-5570
James Lee
My husband and I absolutely love Black Bear Diner in Reno for breakfast. The portions are generous for both breakfast and dinner, and I always end up taking half of mine home. The food is cooked perfectly, never dry or greasy. The hostess is sweet and the host has a great sense of humor, which makes for a welcoming atmosphere. The wait staff is top-notch – they're fun and always take care of their customers efficiently. If you're looking for a friendly place with good food, this is it. The biscuits are delicious, and the country fried steak is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. While the salad is a bit bland, it's fresh, and the creamy ranch dressing makes up for it. The food can take a bit to come out, even when it's not busy, but it's worth the wait. The pastries looked tempting, but I was too full to try one. This is one of the best places to eat, with fast service, friendly staff, and quality food at a great price. I ate here four days in a row during a business trip in Reno. Whether it's breakfast or dinner, the meals are consistently fantastic. Don't miss trying the pies; the coconut creme is excellent. We've never had a bad meal here, and the breakfasts are always huge and delicious. I highly recommend this diner! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a great experience at the Starbucks in Reno for breakfast. The café has an inviting atmosphere with plenty of seating options and perfect lighting that adds to the vibe. It's an ideal place to relax and enjoy a book, making it a cozy spot to unwind with a latte. During my visit between 10:30 and 11:00 am, I found the service to be efficient and the staff friendly. My drink was crafted well and tasted just as expected, contributing to a pleasant start to the day. This Starbucks definitely stands out for its ambiance and reliable drink quality, making it a go-to spot for a comfortable coffee break.
Purple Parrot
3800 S Virginia St, Reno
(775) 824-4432
Bryana Rossino
Purple Parrot in Reno is a fantastic spot for breakfast and any meal throughout the day. Ideally located inside the casino, it offers a cool, convenient place to grab some delicious food. Over several days, we tried both breakfast and dinner dishes, and the value for money was excellent. The fried chicken came highly recommended by my wife, and I found the chicken nachos to be exceptionally tasty. The pancake sandwich for breakfast was just what I needed to start my day right. The atmosphere is lively, especially since it's open late, making it a perfect stop for those late-night cravings, particularly on weekends. The staff is friendly, though they could use a bit more training regarding the gluten-free options on the menu. Despite a slight hiccup there, the overall experience was delightful. This little gem behind the keno offers great service 24 hours a day, and the food is on par with pricier local venues. I highly recommend checking it out at least once—especially for those fantastic pancakes. Every time I'm in the area, I make sure to stop by and satisfy my pancake cravings. If you're around, it's definitely worth a visit!
Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch
189 Damonte Ranch Pkwy, Reno
(775) 657-9527
Chris Jung
Choosing Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch in Reno for a spontaneous brunch with my family turned out to be a fantastic decision. We were greeted by a spacious atmosphere and professional staff that made us feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding. The beignets, served with various flavored dips, were a highlight. I highly recommend saving some of the huckleberry jam to spread on a buttered Huckleberry muffin—it was a hit with my 2-year-old, who couldn't get enough! The Voodoo chicken was phenomenal, and while the Mississippi skillet was deliciously filling, it did have a bit more potatoes than other ingredients. The fried green tomatoes had great flavor, although they were slightly chewier than expected. Don't miss out on the beignets; they're absolutely worth it. Overall, the service was excellent, and while we noticed a charge for coffee refills, it didn't detract from the positive experience. It was refreshing to find a place offering such delicious Southern comfort food—a true gem in Reno. We drove all the way from Cold Springs and were delighted with the wide variety of choices. The fresh catfish and tasty crab were standouts, and the caramel iced coffee was a treat. Our server went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Despite the crowd that quickly filled the restaurant after 8:30 am, every minute was worth the wait. There's plenty for the kids, and the portion sizes are generous. We left full and happy, without breaking the bank, and we can't wait to return. Huckleberry's is a must-visit for anyone in search of great food and service in Reno.
Café Milano
2707 S Virginia St, Reno
(775) 689-7270
Esteban Pedro
I had breakfast at Café Milano in Reno and was genuinely impressed. The portions are large, and while it can be a bit pricey, you'll definitely leave full and likely with leftovers. I'm a coffee drinker, so I really appreciated their big coffee mugs. The banana nut french toast was a standout—decadent with powdered sugar and rich, thick syrup. The hash browns that come with everything were a nice touch, and the ham steak with the steak and eggs was generous. One morning, our waiter was particularly nice, and the food was good. It was fascinating to see a robot bus service station in action, adding a unique touch to the experience. Later that night, I had another meal there that my whole family enjoyed. The environment was very clean, and they served the best biscuits and gravy I've had in town. What really made the experience five stars was our server, Jerry. He was top-notch—great with suggestions, patient, and clearly enjoyed his job. Even on a slow mid-week night, he went above and beyond. Overall, Café Milano offers a pleasant dining experience with quality service that makes it worth visiting.
