Staycation Coffee

I visited Staycation Coffee for breakfast in Richardson and had a great experience. I started with a latte and toast, both of which were fantastic. The outdoor seating area under a tree was charming, offering a calm and relaxing vibe. It's definitely a family-friendly spot, as I noticed kids having a blast in the open space. The combination of good coffee, tasty food, and a welcoming environment makes this place a must-visit. Although the wifi wasn't working for me and my partner, and the noise level was high for working, the overall experience was positive. I also appreciated the cozy atmosphere and clean, mom-friendly restroom. The barista, Marco, did an amazing job with my cappuccino using coconut milk, and the ham & cheese cachito was a delicious taste of home for me. I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in the area.

Eiland Coffee at Canyon Creek is such a cute spot! The interior is cozy, with outlets by the tables along the side, making it an ideal place to study or chat with friends. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area with a covered patio and string lights, which adds to the charm. They offer a variety of coffees, teas, specialty drinks, and a small bakery section. Though my matcha wasn’t to my liking—it tasted too much like milk—I’m keen to try other offerings. The customer service was stellar, especially thanks to Zack and John. Zack went the extra mile to help me find a drink similar to what I was craving. Every staff member was friendly, and we had some great conversations. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and nicely decorated. While the coffee is a bit on the expensive side, it’s still good, and the consistency of quality is impressive. This place has quickly become one of my favorites, thanks to the excellent customer service and the delightful environment. Highly recommend a visit!

Wow, this place was a great find this morning! The bagels were fresh, and The Cowboy I ordered was hefty and delicious. They didn't skimp on the cream cheese, eggs, or bacon, which is a huge plus for me. Growing up with Bagelsteins, it's always tough to find a bagel that hits the mark, but Bagel Cafe 21 does just that. The prices are reasonable too, so I will definitely be back. The bagel sandwich I tried was flavorful, and the bagel itself was just right—not too hard or chewy. Finally, a place that doesn't hold back on the cream cheese! Finding a great bagel shop with decent prices has been so challenging, but not anymore. I love this bagel spot and wish there were one on every corner! The veggie cream cheese is fresh and our favorite, and we love the Asiago and bacon cheddar bagels. The coffees are pretty good here too. Rainbow bagels are available Friday to Sunday, first come, first served. We arrived around 9 am on a Sunday, and there were plenty left. I tried the blueberry cream cheese, and it was amazing—handmade with fresh blueberries. During the workweek, I'll grab their bagel sandwiches, which are always tasty. The bacon, egg, and cheese is my go-to. Overall, it's a great little bagel spot to stop into!

I stopped by Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea for breakfast in Richardson, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. It's conveniently located right off George Bush, which made it an easy stop on my way to Oklahoma. I ordered a double shot cappuccino with extra milk, and it was served steaming hot with a delicious, fresh taste. The egg, cheese, and bacon biscuit sandwich was a standout; the biscuits were freshly made in-house, buttery, and fresh. I couldn't resist trying more, so I got a blueberry scone, which was perfectly sweet and full of blueberries. The atmosphere is great, with lots of natural light and plenty of seating both inside and outside, where shaded areas are a nice touch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and the owner genuinely cares about the customer experience. Sweetwaters has become one of my go-to spots for good coffee and tea, especially for their cold brews. During this visit, I tried the great pumpkin latte which had a strong pumpkin flavor, perfect for PSL fans. For light bites, I recommend the chocolate croissant, scones, and pretzel sandwiches. Plus, they offer WiFi for paying customers, which is fantastic for someone like me who works on the go. There's plenty of space, making it ideal for students from nearby UT Dallas or anyone needing a good study spot. The presence of many outlets is a big plus for those bringing laptops. My only suggestion is to make sure the AC is running, especially on hot days, to enhance the comfort. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by for a satisfying coffee and breakfast experience.

I visited Cinnaholic in Richardson for breakfast and was genuinely impressed. The cashier was friendly and helpful, making my first visit memorable. I tried the mini cinnamon buns with regular vanilla icing and strawberries on top, and they were packaged perfectly with toothpicks to keep everything in place. For my husband’s birthday, I ordered a double chocolate chip cookie cake with vanilla frosting and toppings of walnuts, coffee dust, and blueberries, and everyone loved it. It's great to have a place where I can order vegan desserts without worry. Plus, they offer delivery! The store may be small, but there's ample seating and plenty of menu options. I tried the classic roll and the Cookie Monster roll, which had homemade cookie dough, cream cheese frosting, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce. The cinnamon rolls are soft, sweet, and flavorful, with generous icing. The cookie dough topping was the perfect touch. After indulging, a nap was necessary! Cinnaholic is truly a sweet paradise and might just have the best cinnamon rolls in DFW. I went with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday, and we tried four different rolls: Birthday Cake, Old Skool, Cookie Monster, and a customized one with strawberries and blueberries. Sharing them was a great idea, and the combination was heavenly. I will definitely return, though I might need a break to recover from all the sugary goodness. My girlfriend loved the birthday cake roll with icing, sprinkles, crushed Oreos, and chocolate sauce. She’s eager to try the peach cobbler roll next time. The rolls are doughy and delightful, and we'll be back for more when our sweet tooth kicks in. Thanks to our friends for a delicious and satisfying dessert outing!

Al Baghdady Bakery and Cafe has truly impressed me with their amazing food and welcoming atmosphere. For breakfast, I enjoyed the mix platter, where the meat was moist and perfectly flavored. The eggplant salad was a delightful surprise, especially paired with the roti or naan. Starting the meal with two complimentary soups was a nice touch, and although I'm not sure what kind they were, they tasted really good. The mix grilled dish was a highlight, with huge portions including two types of rice—both the yellow and dill-infused options were delicious—and a giant pita bread. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, and there was plenty of parking available. During a dinner visit with my wife, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and we were seated right away. The staff took the time to explain the menu, which was helpful for our first visit. I highly recommend trying the baba ganoush and the refreshing lime mint tea. The shawarma and lamb kabob were delightful, and I appreciated the clean and inviting environment. Aside from navigating a tight entrance in the parking lot, everything about the visit was wonderful. Their fluffy rice, juicy chicken and beef kabobs, delicious shawarma, and tawouk made for an exceptional dining experience. Ending the evening with a few pieces of baklawa was the perfect finish. Thank you for the excellent service, Al Baghdady! If you found this review useful, please give it a like.

10/5 stars!!!!!! This place is the absolute best! The portions are huge, and both the food and drinks are delicious, making it worth every penny. The atmosphere is super chill and nice—I loved it. The staff were amazing, welcoming, and friendly. Even the bathrooms were well-kept! I'm torn because I really love this place, so it's a battle between gatekeeping or spreading the word! Honestly, I would recommend this place to everyone and continue to come and support it. An amazing little spot. The customer service was outstanding. The food was perfect, with a great combination of textures and flavors. Everything was cooked to perfection! The inside is super clean and well-organized. I wish we had more places like this closer to my home. I had the bento box, and it was perfect, offering great value for the amount of food you get. The pork was excellently cooked. My partner had a curry, and it was just as good. I had an iced coffee, and again—perfect. I can't rave enough about this place. Incredible service, everyone here is amazing! The food and drinks are delicious. I have yet to try something I don't like! The cafe has nice, cozy vibes, which is perfect if you want to come here by yourself or with someone. It's a solid 4 stars. There is limited seating, so it made for a bit of a wait, but the food was delicious. The rice and the fries were a little hard, but the flavor was great for everything. The staff and service were excellent, very kind and apologetic for the wait. It's kind of unique; they seat you, but then you go back up to the counter to order, and they bring your food out. Prices were reasonable. Be sure to check the menu online because the printed one has fewer offerings, but they do honor the online menu. We had the Okaeri loaded fries, Omurice Curry, and the Kids Teriyaki.

We had a late brunch at The Original Pancake House in Richardson and loved every moment of it. We ordered the Western and Spinach/Mushroom Omelettes, along with a short stack of pancakes. Everything was delicious. Even though we were the only customers left since they were closing at 3 PM, the serving staff was incredibly patient and attentive. The restaurant was well-lit and nicely decorated, adding to the pleasant experience. Our meal was fantastic; we all ordered Dutch babies, which arrived hot and fresh. Our waitress was wonderful, but the standout was the manager, Maria. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She refilled our drinks, helped my dad with his Dutch baby due to his limited hand use, and even opened the door for us as we left. Her kindness and attention to detail were truly appreciated. I've passed by this place for three years and finally decided to stop in. I'm so glad I did. The coffee was a highlight—perfect for a morning visit at 6:45 AM. The Belgian waffles were perfectly portioned; I couldn't even finish them all. The crepes were super thin and extra tasty with maple syrup. The biscuits were light, airy, and buttery, while the chicken sausages were juicy and some of the best I've had. The freshly squeezed orange juice was sweet, though it does come with a lot of pulp. The pecans on the maple banana pecan French toast reminded me of fairground roasted candied cinnamon pecans, both sweet and nutty. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience. Just a tip: make sure to reserve a spot early, or you might have to wait a while. Looking forward to my next visit!

Taco Ocho in Richardson is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The ambiance is wonderful, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Our group of about ten was well taken care of, with drinks and chips quickly brought to us. The salsa was amazing, and the brisket taco was succulent and flavorful. While the garlic shrimp taco wasn't to my taste, the overall experience was positive. The Ensalada Ocho with Chipotle dressing and the Chicken Fajita Quesadillas were delicious, with the chicken marinated perfectly. The service was genuinely impressive, as the staff graciously replaced an accidental order and maintained a great attitude. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and nicely decorated, with outstanding food and exceptional customer service. I highly recommend Taco Ocho and will definitely return to try more of their offerings.

I had a fantastic breakfast experience at TINEO Peruvian Restaurant Bakery Cafe in Richardson. The staff were friendly and even though there were only two people working up front, the service was impressively fast. The food was excellent, and we’re already planning our return visit. The lomo saltado brought back memories of Peru with its authentic taste. We also bought some baked goods and Aji Amarillo to try at home, and I’m excited about that. We ordered a lot and everything was incredible. The chicha morada, a purple corn drink from the Andean region, is a must-try. Their tropical fruit juices are also refreshing and worth ordering. I haven’t been to Peru, but the flavors and preparation here seem genuinely authentic. I visited with friends and we enjoyed some of the best Peruvian dishes we could ask for. The empanadas, lomo saltado, ceviche, and aji de gallina were all top-notch. My wife is gluten-free, and they accommodated her well with yuca fries and tofu saltado. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the leche asada and arroz con leche. The lunch portions are generous, making it a great value. The atmosphere is perfect for family time, with awesome food and a friendly environment. My favorite dish is the Pollo Saltado. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back soon.

Hometown Cafe in Richardson is a hidden gem for breakfast, especially if you love a home-cooked, cafeteria-style experience. The concept is straightforward: you pick three dishes, they serve it with rice, and you can help yourself to unlimited soup. All this for just $10 is a steal. As someone who enjoys a good variety, I appreciate the range of options available, including vegan and chicken dishes. The portions are generous, and the food tastes great, making it a worthwhile meal. I find the ambiance typical of a Chinese restaurant—simple and efficient. While cleanliness isn't their strongest point, what matters most to me is the value and taste of the food, and they deliver on both fronts. The place operates on a cash-only basis, but there's an ATM on-site for convenience. Coming here feels like a family tradition; everyone gets to pick what they like, and the weekend specialty menu adds a nice touch of variety. It's a place where I wouldn't mind eating regularly because of the delicious food. Despite some outdated decor, the food more than makes up for it. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit for a quick and satisfying meal.

I had a fantastic experience at Haystack Burgers and Barley in Richardson. The food and service truly exceeded my expectations for a burger joint. I tried the Escabeche Burger, and my dining companion went for the Avocado Burger. Both were top-notch in terms of quality and flavor. We also shared a half-and-half side of fries and onion crisps, leaving us both satisfied and full. I noticed they have a selection of craft beers, which I'll definitely be trying next time. I appreciate that their management supports local comedy, and it’s always great to back businesses that promote community upliftment. The burger itself was probably the best I’ve had in a long time—soft yet firm bun, a thick and perfectly cooked medium-well beef patty, and fresh, crisp lettuce. The fries were perfectly seasoned, complementing the meal nicely. The customer service was excellent, filled with smiles and positive energy. The upbeat music added to the good vibes of the place, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy some good food. I also tried the Vanderslice Burger, and adding Haystack battered onions made it even more flavorful. The tart homemade Thousand Island dressing was a nice touch. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. I visited for lunch with a coworker, and we both had a great time. Parking was easy, ordering was quick, and there was plenty of seating available. I went for the Down on the Farm turkey burger without mustard, and it was juicy and delicious. The crispy fries on the side were cooked perfectly. All in all, it was a wonderful burger experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Cafe Gecko Richardson made my Friday morning unforgettable with their fantastic breakfast offerings. Arriving at 6, I was pleased to see the place bustling with people. The patio, while a bit loud, added to the lively atmosphere. Our waitress, despite being very busy, took excellent care of us. During our brunch visit as part of a quick trip to Richardson, the experience was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the brunch quesadilla while my fiancé opted for the breakfast burger, and both dishes were outstanding. The menu had such unique options that added a special touch to our meal. The atmosphere was great, with a nice vibe, and the ambiance just right for a pleasant breakfast outing. It's clear that the staff, especially our server, made the effort to ensure we had a wonderful time. Overall, Cafe Gecko Richardson delivered a delightful breakfast experience that I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Truly, I love this place! Every visit to 85C Bakery Cafe in Richardson is a delight. I always try something new and have yet to be disappointed. My favorites from the bakery are the brioche and milk bread, both with just the right amount of sweetness. The tiramisu and mango brûlée cake are also outstanding! The staff is always friendly and provides exceptional service. I highly recommend 85C! It's always a great experience. We love the buns and bread, so we decided to give the cakes a try. We chose the mango brûlée cake and the strawberry deluxe cake. The mango cake is delicious, with fresh mango pieces and whole strawberries on top. The strawberry cake, decorated as a baseball field with matcha powder and chocolate pieces, is not overly sweet but very enjoyable. Their cakes aren't as sweet as typical American desserts, which I appreciate. Fluffy buns and Asian sweets always hit the spot. We stumbled upon this bakery after a disappointing meal next door, and it totally turned our day around. If you have a sweet tooth, head over to 85C, and you won't be disappointed. The cake selection is phenomenal and affordable, with pastries that are light and perfectly balanced. The apple danish is a must-try if you warm it up slightly. For coffee lovers, the sea salt coffee is my go-to. It's not overly sweet and pairs perfectly with the pastries. The self-service setup is convenient if you want to grab a quick box of baked goods. The only downside is the busy line and slow pace, but it's worth the wait. 85C Bakery Cafe is a sweet haven that never fails to satisfy.

I stopped by Kolache Factory for breakfast in Richardson, and overall, I was pleased with my experience. The food offers good value for the price, and there’s a fantastic variety of kolaches to choose from. The pepperoni kolache was a standout, loaded with meat and warm, tasting delicious. The brisket one, while flavorful, was unfortunately cold and had a greasy bottom, but it would have been even better if it had been served hot. I also tried their seasonal Texas pecan coffee, which was excellent. The dining area isn’t anything special but offers plenty of seating. Parking is pretty convenient with a couple of spots near the entrance. During my visit, I enjoyed a range of kolaches, including egg and cheese, jalapeño popper, bacon egg cheese, and Philly steak, and I highly recommend trying the Texas apple croissant—it's a unique treat! My brother-in-law recommended this place, and I'm glad he did. The pastries, like cherry, cheese, and bacon and cheese kolaches, were soft and fresh, with the ham and egg croissant being a nice addition. The counter service was friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable, with five pastries costing around $10. I was, however, a bit disappointed that they didn’t have breakfast egg kolaches ready at 8 am and was told to wait 25 minutes. While that felt like poor planning, what I did get was satisfying. Their cinnamon rolls are definitely worth a try. I’m considering a return visit and hoping for a more complete selection next time.

I had a fantastic breakfast at Garland Cafe on Buckingham Road in Richardson. The food was great, and the prices were even better. The only minor downside was that the fries could have been a bit crispier and saltier, but overall, the portions were so generous that I couldn’t even finish my meal. I’ll definitely be back. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I enjoyed every bit of my visit. We go to this cafe pretty often, and weekdays or early mornings on weekends are the best times to go. Weekends do get quite packed, so if you’re hungry and in a hurry, it might not be the best time, but during the week the food is consistently hot and served in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place—it's a 10/10 for me! The employees are amazing, managing to serve our food in under 10 minutes even when they had a full house. The food was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture before digging in; I only managed to snap a shot of the waffle with strawberries, and it was as tasty as it looked. The cafe is friendly and cozy, and it’s definitely a top spot on our list for breakfast. The value and quality are outstanding, especially with the "build your own breakfast" menu that's available all day. My personal favorite is the white gravy and biscuit with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and hash browns—cooked perfectly every time, whether I dine in or take out. Great food, quality, pricing, and service! Please support this awesome local restaurant!

Chiloso Mexican Bistro in Richardson is a fantastic spot! The place might remind some folks of Chipotle, but the food here is on another level entirely. The ingredients are super fresh, and the spices bring such good flavor to every dish. I've tried the nachos with a side of chips, and I must say, their queso is absolutely amazing. If it were possible, I'd eat here every day for lunch. I had no idea this gem existed until just now, and I'm completely hooked! The staff is genuinely friendly and even offer samples of margaritas while you're checking out, which is a lovely touch. It was lively when I visited on a Thursday evening, and while I might have discovered this place later than others, it's definitely better late than never. I've seen comparisons to Chipotle, but aside from the cafeteria-style setup, the similarities end there. Chiloso is fresher and offers a wider variety of entrées. Plus, you get complimentary chips and salsa with your meal. I ordered the Chicken Avocado bowl, which is more or less a quesadilla topped with a generous helping of grilled chicken. You can customize your meal with various toppings, and they have several salsa options to choose from. Charro beans and rice come included, and I left feeling satisfyingly full—another plus that distinguishes Chiloso. There's even a full breakfast menu, making it a perfect spot to return to. My wife and I were thrilled to find this place, and the staff—especially Efrain and Maria Yvonne—made us feel incredibly welcome. They gave us great recommendations, like a raspberry drink that has become my new favorite. The prices are affordable, and the quality is fantastic. I truly don't get the bad reviews; if you don't like it, stick to Chipotle. But for me, this is a new go-to spot for delicious food and drinks. Huge thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality and for preparing everything with love. We'll definitely be back soon!

I absolutely love visiting IHOP in Richardson for breakfast. The location is great, and the food is consistently delicious. The pancakes are always amazing—especially the tres leches pancakes, which have a delightful caramel flavor. The Oreo waffle is another favorite, packed with flavor and perfectly thick. The over-easy eggs and hash browns are cooked to perfection, and everything arrives at the table fresh and hot. The staff here is fantastic, and they make the experience even better with their friendly service. Even when I'm just picking up an order, they're efficient and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the original buttermilk pancakes with hickory smoked bacon. It was absolutely delicious. Despite a few hiccups in other areas, the overall food and service make this IHOP a place I'm definitely coming back to.

I decided to try the Summer Special at Modern Market Eatery in Richardson for breakfast, which was supposed to be the shrimp BLT. They always use the freshest ingredients, and the shrimp was no exception—tasting fresh and not fishy at all. They are quick with online orders, and typically, I have no complaints. This time, my order wasn't exactly what I asked for. Instead of the shrimp BLT, I ended up with a mix of the shrimp BLT and the green goddess shrimp salad. It didn't have bacon crumbles, bleu cheese, red onion, or buttermilk dressing. Instead, it came with zucchini, corn, watermelon radish, and green goddess dressing. Surprisingly, this unexpected combination turned out to be delicious, so I couldn't be upset. The restaurant has a clean, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is friendly. On another visit, I tried their vegetarian Buddha bowl, which was filling, even when shared. I've dined in with my family before, and it was a good experience, especially during rush hour with limited staff on duty. The food is generally good, and the service makes it even better.

La Madeleine in Richardson is a delightful spot for breakfast, and there are several things that stand out to me about this location. First, the temperature inside the restaurant is just right, offering a comfortable dining experience, which is a big plus since it's often too cold in other places. The music could be a bit softer, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. The staff is generally friendly and the restaurant consistently maintains a high level of cleanliness, which I appreciate. The recent updates to this location have made a positive impact, especially with the new lighting, although it could be slightly less bright. Overall, the ambiance is welcoming and pleasant. Their iced tea is particularly refreshing and a highlight of my visits. However, there have been some hiccups with the portion sizes for take-away orders, which seem to have diminished compared to the past. This is something I hope they address soon to maintain the value they offer. Despite this, dining in provides a better experience, with the food always tasting fresh and satisfying. I can't praise the renovation enough; it feels like a breath of fresh air but hiring a few more staff members could greatly enhance the service efficiency. The classic menu items, like the tomato basil soup, should always be available since they're favorites for many regulars. To sum up, I enjoy visiting La Madeleine for breakfast and will continue to do so, trusting that they'll iron out the minor issues and maintain the quality and service I've come to love over the years.
