Delicious! The Mi Amor Iced Latte is so good. It's creamy, sweet, and absolutely delicious, with honey in it and coffee ice cubes that keep it from watering down. I love everything about that drink! It's probably the most unique coffee I've ever had. After hearing so much about this local New Mexican coffee, I finally gave it a try and now I totally get why fans love it so much. I also tried the basic plain latte just to get the flavor, and it was excellent. The variety here is the best in town, with so many unique and wonderful flavors. While I'm not a huge fan of spice in my drinks, I was drawn to options like the piñon and maple walnut flavors, which were fantastic. In terms of budget, it’s really worth your money, with prices ranging from $4 to $6. The location is super convenient, right on the main road and easily accessible from the drive-through, perfect if you're working in Rio Rancho and want a daily coffee stop. The vibe is casual and cozy, and I ended up spending more time here than planned. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the environment is clean, which makes for a nice experience overall. One small issue I had was with the drink lids. I ordered a pumpkin pie latte that was supposed to come with an open cap and whipped cream, but I got a cap that snapped into individual strands of plastic. I didn't want that with my drink. It was disappointing as I wasted $7 on a drink I couldn't enjoy. I didn’t try the food because it didn’t look appealing to me, but even as someone who isn't typically a coffee person, my experience with Piñon Coffee House really changed my overall opinion about coffee.
El Agave Family Mexican Restaurant
1520 Deborah Rd SE, Rio Rancho
(505) 994-8809
Venkata Prasad Jeffers-Christian
My partner and I stopped by El Agave Family Mexican Restaurant for breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, served warm, and the flavors were on point. The Green Chile, in particular, had the perfect blend of flavor, while the Red was vibrant and tasty. The fresh homemade chips and salsa were so good they could have been a meal themselves. I had the vegetarian burrito packed with fresh grilled vegetables, and it was full of flavor. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We barely had to wait for our meals, and drink refills came promptly without us even asking. The atmosphere was simple yet colorful, creating a quaint and cozy dining experience. The restaurant was impressively clean, which was the first thing we noticed. The music was at a perfect volume, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing meal, and the booth seating was comfortable. Overall, El Agave is a hidden gem in Rio Rancho. We were drawn in by the great reviews, and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely be returning for another meal soon!
Dagmar's Specialties
2704 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho

Jose Robinson
If you've ever found yourself missing your sweet tooth, Dagmar's Specialties is ready to help you find it again! A coworker introduced me to their delicious coconut cheese strudels, and I knew I had to visit the place myself. On my visit, I tried the breakfast sausage sandwich, peach strudel, and cinnamon roll. The sausage was perfectly seasoned, and the sandwich was incredibly satisfying. Their pastries hit the perfect balance of sweetness without going overboard. Although the peach strudel was delightful, I've now developed a craving for their cheese filling. I can't wait to return for another round and to try their lunch offerings. Make sure to carve out some time in your day for Dagmar's because this is hands down the best German food you'll find in the Albuquerque area! It's a quaint German bakery where I also sampled a blueberry strudel, the Schnitzel Breakfast, and some cookies. The breakfast was amazing; they even managed to make green chilis pair well with brown gravy. The blueberry and cheese strudel was honestly one of the tastiest pastries I've ever had. This was my first visit, and I'm thrilled to have discovered such an incredible spot. I indulged in the breakfast schnitzel and raspberry strudel, while my friend enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and cinnamon roll. I loved everything about this place, and it brought back a lot of nostalgia for the German food I grew up on. They also offer dry goods, lunch meats, and sausages. It's a small spot, easy to miss, but absolutely worth finding. I'll definitely be going back. Well worth the visit!
Alicea's NY Bagels & Subs Llc

I stopped by Alicea's NY Bagels & Subs LLC for the first time yesterday and had a pretty good experience. Though the sandwiches we picked weren't mind-blowing, we still enjoyed our lunch and are eager to try different options next time. The included chips were a nice bonus, and the service was fantastic! We initially planned to dine in but decided on takeaway at the last minute, which was seamless thanks to the helpful staff. The atmosphere is wonderful, and you can immediately feel the warmth of a locally owned spot. The owner and his team went above and beyond with their customer service, making it an 11 out of 10 experience. I also have to mention an unrelated but remarkable experience: when my car overheated near their shop, one of their staff assisted me without hesitation, and their kindness left a lasting impression. Back to the food—my turkey and provolone with green chile and bacon was delicious, even though they were out of avocado (which they made up for with a complimentary drink). For the price, the portions are generous, and I'm excited to return and explore more of their menu. Thanks to French and the team for a great visit, and I look forward to stopping by again soon!

Hannah & Nate's
4512 Corrales Rd, Corrales
(505) 898-2370
Santiago Chu
Hannah & Nate's has become my go-to spot for breakfast in Albuquerque. I find myself there almost every weekend, and occasionally on weekdays too. Their breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, sloppy Jose, and heavenly hash are all consistently delicious. While the eggs Benedict Nuevo Mexico wasn't my favorite, everything else has been outstanding. I've even tried their lunch menu and haven't been disappointed by any of the sandwiches. The food is exceptional, the service is friendly, and the chile, both red and green, is fresh and flavorful. We stumbled upon Hannah & Nate's in Corrales and couldn't believe we hadn't visited sooner given how close we live. Initially, the parking lot was packed, and we almost drove away, but thankfully we didn't. A spot opened up, and we were seated right away. The atmosphere struck me immediately: warm, inviting, and friendly. The happy chatter of patrons, the staff's interactions, and the overall sense of community make it special. Our waitress was attentive, offered suggestions, kept our coffee topped off, and didn't rush us. Despite the busy setting, the food arrived quickly, was hot, tasty, and prepared exactly as we ordered. The portions were generous without being wasteful, and the prices were nearly half of what we paid at a chain restaurant recently. We're excited to return and explore more of their lunch offerings. This place has quickly become one of our favorite breakfast spots. The atmosphere is charming, the staff is wonderful, and the food consistently rates a 10/10. There can be a wait, so it's best to visit during off-peak hours, but it's well worth it. Hannah & Nate's is a hidden gem with excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Our first dining experience in Corrales was a delight, and we cannot wait to go back.
Lily and Liam Bistro

Lily and Liam Bistro in Rio Rancho is fantastic for breakfast! Their food is incredibly delicious and unique. I tried the Dutch baby for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. The dishes are fresh, healthy, and bursting with flavor. The presentation of the food is also top-notch, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the positive vibe of the place. There was a bit of a mix-up initially, but the restaurant handled it well, showing great customer service. I wholeheartedly appreciate their efforts to resolve any issues. While there was a little hiccup with the bill, with charges not adding up correctly, I believe it was a genuine mistake. I plan to check my bill more closely next time to avoid any confusion. Despite this, I still love the bistro and am eager to return for another visit. Overall, I’m impressed with Lily and Liam Bistro. The food is fresh, tasty, and satisfying. It’s definitely a spot I’ll be frequenting more often!

Hands down, Weck's gets 5 stars from me for breakfast in Rio Rancho. I visited for the first time on a business trip after a few recommendations, and I was not disappointed. It’s a busy spot on weekends, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the staff truly strive to provide exceptional service. I loved how meals were prepared quickly and served in large portions—perfect for someone with a big appetite. A nifty feature is being able to pay directly at the table by scanning a QR code on the receipt, which adds to the convenience. I will definitely be back. On March 31st, I was served by Larry, who went above and beyond. Even on a busy weekday morning, I was seated right away by the efficient and friendly staff. I ordered the South of Denver omelette, opting out of the red and green chili, and it was exactly the breakfast I was hoping for in New Mexico. The flavors were spot on. Weck's consistently delivers great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. Their red and green chili are delicious, and I’ve never had a bad meal here. After my wedding, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate with friends and family. They even welcomed us to bring our wedding cake and provided plates. The staff were wonderful, congratulating us and snapping photos. The stuffed hashbrowns, which I tried on a whim, were life-changing. The restaurant is clean with a cozy atmosphere, making each visit just perfect. A big thank you to everyone at Weck's for making my day even more special!

Whiptail

Whiptail for breakfast in Rio Rancho is an absolute gem. Finding a place where the bar food is as good as the drinks is rare, but this spot nails it. The location is convenient with plenty of parking, and its exterior has a cool, speakeasy vibe. The food was superb, with generous portions that left me completely satisfied. The drinks were just as impressive, and the selection for both food and beverages was fantastic. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The atmosphere was intimate, with candlelit tables enhancing our experience. If I'm being picky, a bit more ambient lighting and some background jazz could make it even cozier and add to the romantic ambiance. However, Whiptail's class and attention to detail are evident. The Old Fashioned with smoke was a standout, as were the well-prepared small dishes with a modern twist. Casey, our waiter, was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through our choices effortlessly. I can't say enough about the creativity of the menu and the excellent service. I ended up trying a bit of everything — the Brussels sprouts, risotto, and onion rings were all delicious. For those wanting a more traditional meal, there are larger plates available too. The variety of seating options is perfect for any group size. Whiptail is easily a top choice when I'm in the area. The food, the cocktails, and the cozy atmosphere with live music make it a standout in Rio Rancho. The smoked cocktails are a must-try, pairing perfectly with the elevated menu. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of what Whiptail has to offer.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could, but I can’t, so 5 stars it is. The food is incredible! I’ve ordered DoorDash before multiple times, but this was my first time dining in, and the country fried steak was delicious! The staff were so friendly and made me feel so welcome. Coming from a military family and growing up an army brat, the veteran wall photos really brought back memories of my Dad and Grandpa, and it hit a special place in my heart seeing all of the military patches, photos, and flags. I think I’ll be dining in more. I love the place, and the prices are great as well! Holy cow, how did I miss this place? Run and stop in now. Great food with flavors off the hook. The staff are super friendly and know what they’re doing! The breakfast is fresh and hot. I’m spreading the word about this gem. Supporting this wonderful establishment not only supports our vets but also smart and hardworking people. Quality food, great prices, and an awesome selection—there’s something for everyone. My breakfast meal was excellent with large portions that leave you feeling content. The hamburger is monstrous! The restaurant is decorated with tributes to those who have purchased our freedom through their service. The friendly, hardworking staff make the experience even better. Ironwood Kitchen is a fantastic spot for breakfast in Rio Rancho, and totally worth a visit!
Cafe Bella Coffee

Cafe Bella Coffee in Rio Rancho really impressed me for breakfast. The food and coffee were delicious, and we left happy. The sandwiches we ordered featured soft, soufflé-style eggs that were delightful. Although the bacon on our waffles was slightly burnt, it surprisingly complemented the chocolate well. The service was efficient despite the place being packed, which was great to see. The atmosphere was chill and comfortable, not too loud, making it a perfect spot to relax. However, it would be nice if the tables were wiped down more frequently. My friend and I have met here for brunch a few times, and on our last visit, we spent over two hours catching up, which speaks to how inviting the space is. The music was slightly loud for my hearing, but it gave us the privacy we needed for our conversation. This adorable cafe offers great food and perfect coffee. We stumbled upon it on our way out of Albuquerque, searching for a spot with breakfast options, and we were glad we did. My oat milk latte was fantastic, with espresso that left me craving more. The Savory Breakfast Sandwich was loaded with flavor, and my wife enjoyed her Breakfast Bagel Sandwich too. I highly recommend checking this place out. The gentleman working there is kind and appreciative, and the honey latte and breakfast sandwich were excellent. The only downside was the lack of whole milk as an option, but that's a minor issue for such a great experience overall.

I've eaten at O'Hare's Grille & Pub in Rio Rancho, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We started with the Pot O'Golden Fried Veggies, and although they could have been a bit crispier, the onion rings made up for it with their perfect crunch. The Southwest Steak Sandwich was a highlight, with the steak cooked just right and the queso adding a delightful flavor. The Chicken Parmesan Sandwich was also a standout, with juicy chicken and a well-balanced sauce. I noticed that while the portions might seem small in pictures, they are quite satisfying and well worth the price, especially considering how tasty everything was. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but with the quality provided, it's understandable. The service was excellent, and our waitress, Lizzy, was very helpful with recommendations and kept our drinks filled. It was our first visit, and it exceeded our expectations, leaving us eager to return and explore more of the menu. Overall, O'Hare's Grille & Pub did not disappoint, and I look forward to dining there again soon.
Turquoise Desert Taproom

The food at Turquoise Desert Taproom for breakfast in Rio Rancho is pretty good. During my visit, I tried the salsa verde bowl and some chicken wings, and both were quite satisfying. The place has a great vibe, a charming little sports bar with amazing food. We also tried the fried pickles, freshly made and some of the best I've tasted. I ordered the tortilla burger, and my wife had a patty melt, and they really knocked it out of the park. The fries, while fresh, were slightly undercooked, but still enjoyable. The selection of IPAs is impressive, and the pretzel with spicy mustard and beer cheese is top-notch. Our waitress, Kelly, was lovely and attentive. I highly recommend this spot and will likely return, especially for events like the Super Bowl! On a later visit, I had the Grilled Chicken Club, which was outstanding. The freshly baked bread allowed the chicken, cheese, pickled red onions, and fresh avocado to shine. The service from Aspen was fantastic, adding to the chilled atmosphere of the place. They serve a variety of drinks, including local spirits, which is a great touch. My husband's Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was a hit too. Overall, this place remains a fantastic little gem worth supporting.
Stripes Burrito Co
2510 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho
(505) 565-5351
Richard Guimaraes
If you're in Rio Rancho and craving a solid breakfast, Stripes Burrito Co is the place to be. Sure, there might be a bit of a wait, but trust me, it's well worth it. A pro tip: if you want your burrito smothered, definitely ask for chile inside too. The flavor burst in every bite is amazing. In today's world where prices are up and portions are down, Stripes stands out. Their $8.00 to $10.00 burritos are not only filling but worth every penny. The crew here is awesome, professional, and knows how to keep things moving, ensuring you've got a smooth experience every time. I've never had an order mix-up, which speaks volumes about their attention to detail. If you go for the large burrito, prepare yourself for a nap afterward—it's that satisfying. This spot has become our weekend breakfast go-to. Stripes Burrito Co is consistently impressive, serving delicious food with great service.

The Bagel Deli & Bakery in Rio Rancho has truly captured my heart. The green chili bagel with jalapeño spread stood out, and while I wish they used something other than Styrofoam cups for their coffee, bringing my own travel mug solved that. The staff is a major highlight; they are genuinely helpful and cheerful, making every visit pleasant. Fran Capone’s team does a fantastic job, and it's clear they love what they do. The reopened location is even better than the original. The bagels and cream cheese taste more delicious than ever, rivaling any I’ve had in NYC, which is high praise coming from someone whose husband's family is from the East Coast. Our breakfast dates here are memorable, especially with the addition of a black and white cookie that sealed the deal for both the man and the restaurant in my heart. I’m thrilled to have The Bagel back as my go-to comfort food spot. The Burkes run a top-notch establishment with bagels and sandwiches that are truly the best around. Their attention to service and quality is unmatched. My visits will certainly continue as this place deserves all the love and recognition it can get. Absolute 15/10 for deliciousness and service!

I had breakfast at Federico's Mexican Food in Rio Rancho, and it was a solid experience. I'm impressed by how quickly they take and serve orders, which makes it a convenient stop. The food is good, offering generous portions at a reasonable price—a rarity these days. The staff was friendly, and the guy taking our order definitely deserves five stars for his service. While there were some issues, like the chicken being overcooked in my spicy chicken fries, most of the food was enjoyable. Despite these minor hiccups, I'd consider coming back for a meal.

I went to the drive-thru at Burrito Express for breakfast in Rio Rancho today, and I’m really pleased with the experience. The service was great, and the line moved quickly. Nadia, who took my order, was super nice and efficient. The highlight of my visit was the girl at the window—she was incredibly sweet and even gave me little pieces of bacon for my dogs without me asking. It's little touches like that which make a place memorable. The food tasted amazing, and we’ve decided this is our new go-to spot for morning meals. Thank you for making my day with such excellent service!

I had a great breakfast experience at Denny's in Rio Rancho. The food was delicious, and we were lucky to have Patricia as our server. She was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. Our food was served quickly, and Patricia made sure to check on us and keep our coffee refilled throughout our meal. I really enjoyed the indoor decor and the pictures on the wall, which added to the atmosphere. This was by far the best experience I've had at a Denny's. I’m looking forward to coming back and hopefully having Patricia as our server again. The Berry Stuffed French Toast and Oreo milkshake were particular highlights, and the vanilla coke that Ashley, our amazing waitress, offered was a delightful surprise. A visit to the new Denny's in South Valley during their soft opening was equally pleasant. Sergio was our server, and he made the experience memorable with his amazing service. I appreciate Denny's for opening in our area, providing a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will definitely be returning. This Denny's feels fresh with its decor, and the service is both friendly and efficient. While the 55 plus menu has gotten a bit smaller, it's still a great value. My wife and I enjoyed omelets and classic hash browns. Its location, a little off the main road, gives it a cozy, tucked-away vibe. The outdoor seating is contemporary and inviting.

During my visit to Village Inn in Rio Rancho for breakfast, I had a mixed experience. I decided to try the biscuits and gravy, which is usually a favorite of mine. However, I found the gravy to be a bit off with hot sausage, chili powder, and parsley flakes, which I didn't quite enjoy. On a brighter note, Jennette, our server, was exceptional. She provided quick and efficient service, which I truly appreciated. I also tried the V.I.B. breakfast option, which included hash browns, fresh fruit, French toast, and eggs. Everything was cooked perfectly and arrived promptly, which made for a satisfying meal. While the food mostly hit the mark, the condition of the seating area left something to be desired. Despite this, the overall experience was positive, and I wouldn't mind returning, especially for the great service and the potential to explore more menu options like the "ALL-AMERICAN MEATLOAF DINNER," which I’ve heard good things about. The staff was friendly, and payment at the front desk was straightforward. Overall, a decent spot for breakfast with some room for improvement in ambiance.
