During our visit to Scottsdale, we ended up at Butterfield's Pancake House & Restaurant for breakfast two days in a row, and it was absolutely worth it. Each day, I ordered the New Mexico skillet and gluten-free pancakes, and let me tell you, you wouldn’t even guess they were gluten-free—they were delicious! The service was top-notch, super attentive, and the staff made us feel right at home. I really wish we had a Butterfield's in San Diego! The food is simply amazing, and I can't believe it took me this long to try this place. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. I also got the chance to try the corned beef hash skillet with a side of cinnamon roll pancakes—yuuuuuum! The atmosphere is modern and incredibly clean, which adds to the whole experience. For my aunt's birthday, we had a fantastic meal here. The French toast was fluffy beyond belief, the pan baby was just right, and the Mexicana omelet was the best I've ever had. The service was not only fast but also incredibly friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. This is definitely one of the best breakfast spots I've visited, and I'd recommend it to anyone. The place is worth trying at least once in your life. 4.5 stars!
Butters Pancakes & Cafe

A group of us went to Butters Pancakes & Cafe in Scottsdale to celebrate a birthday, and we had a fantastic dining experience. Even though it was packed just before lunchtime, we were seated within 15 minutes. The hostesses were friendly and our waitress was attentive and efficient, making sure our drinks were always topped up, which I really appreciated. Between the five of us, we ordered a variety of breakfast plates—all sweet—and everything was delicious. The Belgian waffle with bananas, Buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and chocolate chips, cinnamon bun pancakes, blueberry Danish pancakes, and blueberry Danish French Toast were all amazing. The mascarpone filling was standout! Despite the open and noisy atmosphere, we could enjoy our conversation without feeling pressured to leave, which was great because we don’t get to be together often. This was my first time at this location, and the quality matched the other locations I've visited. Even with a longer wait time, it went by quickly. Our waitress, Audrey, was phenomenal—friendly and attentive, quick with refills and anything else we needed. The food was fantastic. The veggie omelet was packed with veggies and was huge! The cinnamon roll pancakes were as delicious as always. I also enjoyed the egg platter and biscuits & gravy; the biscuits were large and soft, with excellent sausage gravy. The choice between grits and hash browns, and pancakes vs. toast, was appreciated. The 2 egg breakfast I ordered was perfect—the eggs were cooked just right, the bacon was crisp, and the grits were perhaps the best I’ve had in years. The warm syrup with the pancakes was a nice touch. Coffee was smooth and really good, too. The only downside was the charge for extra gravy—$2.50 for two tiny cups seemed excessive, but that's a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent experience. Super friendly service, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere make Butters the best breakfast place around. I loved it!

Butters Pancakes & Cafe offers one of the best breakfast experiences I've had! The portions are generous, ensuring you get your money's worth. The fresh-squeezed OJ is a must-try! During a work trip, I visited twice, enjoying a skillet one day and a scramble the next. It's great that you can upgrade your side pancake to a specialty pancake—definitely something to do! The place is clean, bright, and inviting, with friendly staff, making our breakfast satisfying. Among the places we tried in Scottsdale, this was the standout. I had the Belgian waffle with fresh blueberries, which was thick, semi-fluffy, and not too heavy. My husband ordered the corned beef hash skillet with pancakes—tasty and with a big portion size. They also offer fresh-squeezed juices like OJ and grapefruit juice, which is a plus for juice lovers. Special mention to the cleaning staff for their thorough work, even wiping down chair legs! The orange juice was delicious and the omelette was cooked perfectly—firm and fluffy with no brown bits or uncooked parts. The hash browns were unique, with thin slices of potato grilled to a crisp. Yum. Our server, Dulce, was friendly and attentive. While the restaurant is crowded and noisy during breakfast hours, it gets quieter after noon. The high reviews are well-deserved. We also shared the Benedict with hash browns and the French toast stuffed with mascarpone cheese. Both were very good, though the mascarpone flavor was a bit masked by the sweetness of the toast. The atmosphere isn't particularly memorable, hence not giving full stars, but it wasn't unpleasant either, which some breakfast places can be. Overall, it's a place worth visiting, and you won't be disappointed!

Butters Pancakes & Café has become a must-visit for me whenever I'm in Arizona. The flavors and service are consistently impressive. This visit was no different. The fluffy pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs were a highlight, and the fusion of flavors was amazing. The cinnamon swirl pancakes were outstanding, striking the right balance without being overly sweet. I also tried the gluten-free waffle, which was soft, buttery, and didn't leave me missing the gluten at all. From the moment we walked in, the hosts greeted us warmly, and the supervisor was both friendly and attentive. My partner and I were very impressed with how quickly the food arrived, and it was delicious. The prices were economical, especially given the quality of food. The freshly made grapefruit juice was a delightful surprise, perfectly balanced in taste. Although we were too full to try more dishes, it was clear this place is perfect for brunch. The New Mexico skillet and berry bliss pancakes were worth the wait to get in. The server was attentive, and though I didn't have coffee, my sister-in-law raved about hers. Butters Café is easily the best breakfast spot in Scottsdale. Every time we visit from Minnesota, we make sure to stop by. The wait is always worth it, thanks to the friendly staff and quick service. The fresh orange juice and blended coffee are also excellent drink options. This place is a true gem!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I definitely would. For anyone considering where to have breakfast in Scottsdale, make the choice easy and head to Breakfast Club! The food is delicious with generous portions, and the drinks are tasty and well-priced. Our waitress, Natalie, was kind and professional, contributing to the perfect atmosphere with great music and cleanliness. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner—it would be my go-to spot for bringing family and friends. I highly recommend it to everyone. A big thank you to the staff for making our experience fantastic. The service was amazing, and we were seated quickly with our food arriving soon after. I enjoyed a build-your-own omelet with breakfast potatoes—absolutely delicious! Plus, the prices are very reasonable, and patio seating is available. Melody, our waitress, was wonderful, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely engaging. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with o'brien potatoes, scrambled eggs, and fruit. The biscuits and gravy had a unique flavor that I loved, and I appreciated being able to get extra gravy for my potatoes. Everything was tasty, and I'm glad I chose what I did. In summary, if I lived nearby, I'd be a regular here. Two thumbs up! This was my second year dining at Breakfast Club, and the atmosphere, energy from the staff, and service continue to be outstanding. The food is fresh, and the drinks leave you smiling. My family and I love it. It's a very clean restaurant, well worth your time and money.

We stopped at Black Bear Diner in Scottsdale because it was conveniently close to our lodging, and I’m so glad we did! The atmosphere was comfortable and clean, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Mia, our server, was fantastic—she was so kind and sweet, and really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The manager was also excellent, adding to the pleasant experience. I had Carol as my server, and she was remarkable. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Carol was attentive and friendly, ensuring our dining experience was perfect. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Seeing Carol’s genuine care for her customers was refreshing. If you're visiting, I highly recommend asking for her. Having lived in Scottsdale for a while, I was surprised we hadn’t discovered this gem sooner. It's picture-ready and a popular spot for breakfast. We also visited for dinner after a movie, and it was a fun experience. The desserts were a great finish to a good meal, and our server Yolanda was very kind and attentive. My dad was so impressed that he called my mom in California to plan a future visit to this diner. We decided to try Black Bear Diner despite some mixed reviews from other states, and we were not disappointed. The generous portions and great-tasting food were just what we needed, and Katarina, our server, added to the enjoyable experience with her kindness and attentiveness. This spot is perfect for families seeking comfort food, and I’m excited to try other locations back home. Thanks, Black Bear Diner, for a wonderful start to our day!

When we arrived at Perk Eatery in Scottsdale for breakfast, the inviting atmosphere made us feel welcome right away. Although the hostess was a bit reserved, the rest of our visit was truly enjoyable. The coffee was delicious, and while the tea was just okay, the food more than made up for it. Our orders came out quickly, and we tried a variety of dishes, including the huevos rancheros, lemon curd and honey ricotta French toast, and the classic breakfast. The standout for me was the Wine Country French Toast. This dish was a game-changer, with French brie, roasted red grapes, and red wine rosemary syrup—it was a delightful twist that far surpassed my past French toast mishaps. It was both unique and flavorful, making it a must-try. The restaurant was larger than expected, featuring an extensive menu and even a bar selection, making it a great spot for brunch. Our server, Zach, was friendly and attentive, enhancing our first experience at Perk Eatery. In the end, I recommend visiting Perk Eatery for a satisfying breakfast, whether you're a local or just passing through. The combination of good food, great service, and inviting atmosphere makes it a place I'd definitely return to.

I had the Barbacoa Chili Verde Benny, and it was fantastic. The flavor was amazing. I also tried the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were delicious too. It's definitely worth a visit, but make sure to get there early to avoid a wait. This neat spot in a great Scottsdale shopping area offers really good breakfast at fair prices. I ended up going three days in a row. The service at the bar can be a bit mixed since the bartender also handles drinks and phone orders, which can pull attention away from bar patrons. I decided to check it out based on strong recommendations from a friend and hotel staff. When I dined on a Friday morning, it was busy, and we waited about 20 minutes after putting our names down. I ordered the barbacoa breakfast burrito and the regular bacon breakfast burrito. Both were sizable, topped with green sauce, melted cheese, and pico de gallo. The wait staff was super nice, and the place was kept clean and tidy. I’d definitely return. This vibrant, retro-themed restaurant offers a fun dining experience, perfect for all ages. The chilaquiles were bursting with flavor and quite filling. The lively atmosphere combined with delicious food makes it one of my favorite breakfast spots in the Valley. 5 stars! 🌟

Our visit to U.S. Egg Breakfast, Lunch + Cocktails in Scottsdale was fantastic! Our waiter, Michael, was excellent—he answered all our questions and offered great suggestions. We decided to split the Meat Lover Skillet, which was more than enough for both of us; the portion was huge, even the half-sized serving we got to try. I initially googled for a breakfast spot with a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for my husband, and they hit the mark! The sourdough bread was perfectly soft and buttery, and the bacon was tasty. I had the Hawkeye Omelet, and it was incredible—loaded with chicken, bacon, and cheese, topped with avocado. The slightly smoky bacon was a perfect match for the chicken. The Guatemalan Roast coffee was strong and smooth, just the right balance. A delightful surprise was finding Smuckers Mixed Jelly for my wheat toast. Ashley, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. It was nice to learn that it's a family-run local chain, and the pride they take in their work shows through both the vibe and the staff. Even though it was our first visit during our vacation, we're already planning to return before we leave. The brunch offered delicious, flavorful, and savory dishes with attentive service. I also tried the Meat Lovers Skillet and the Bacon & Egg Bloody Mary—both were great! The fresh apple and orange juices were delightful. The portion sizes for the sandwiches were generous, and the California Melt was delicious. Such a charming place!

I visited Egg N’ Joe at Silverstone Marketplace for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience! The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict with fruit, and it was amazing! The flavors were spot on, and it was the perfect way to start the day. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. The service was quick, and everything came out perfectly prepared. This place is definitely worth checking out for a satisfying brunch. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

José Alberto Mondragon
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery in Scottsdale, is an amazing breakfast spot. The service was courteous and quick, and the food was delicious and well-presented. Despite a slight wait for drinks, our overall experience was fantastic. Sitting outside was a pleasant bonus since it wasn't too hot. The shrimp and grits with Cajun gravy were incredible, and my partner loved the sweet potato dish with semi-sweet Sriracha sauce. The Bravacado toast was also packed with flavor. The food is definitely worth the wait. The menu is diverse with unique breakfast items I haven’t seen elsewhere, and it caters to all kinds of tastes. We visited with a group of 8, and everyone enjoyed the fresh and tasty offerings. Though the service was a bit slow, which led to a longer stay, the delightful food and retro vibe of the place made up for it. Our server was attentive, and the coffee was great. The omelets and hash browns were just what we needed to fuel a busy day. It's a spot I'd recommend to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast, and I wish we had a Snooze on the east coast!
New York Bagels 'N Bialys - Shea
10320 N Scottsdale Rd #400b, Scottsdale
(480) 483-6922
Bellajayde Carr
My friend and I finally got to try New York Bagels 'N Bialys - Shea after passing it so often on our way to Total Wine. The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from a deli—inviting and relaxed, with options to dine in, take out, or shop. Although we experienced some delays with service, it seemed due to our server, Alexa, managing many large tables. The menu is broad, but I was surprised they didn't have Chopped Liver. We ordered a Regular Pastrami Sandwich on Rye with Home Fries and a Reuben with a Potato Pancake. The sandwiches and Home Fries were delicious, though the Potato Pancake was a letdown. Despite some hiccups, the environment is great for enjoying a conversation without too much noise. The food is both good and reasonably priced, and Nelson, one of the staff members, consistently ensures excellent service. The Egg-A-Bagel Pileup is a must-try, especially with a jalapeno & cheese bagel and jalapeno cream cheese. Their Benedicts and pastries are always satisfying. I also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with my dog. The staff was attentive, even bringing her a dish of water. I kept it simple with a bagel and coffee, both of which were excellent, and appreciated the to-go cup of coffee when we left. Overall, it's a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcome.
Rita's Cantina & Bar
5402 E Lincoln Dr, Scottsdale
Eric Johnson
My experience at Rita's Cantina & Bar for breakfast in Scottsdale was fantastic. The location is perfect, especially if you're staying at the JW Marriott. While the prices are a bit on the higher side for the portions, the flavors are definitely worth it. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We were a large group and had a reservation for later, but they accommodated us right away when we arrived early. The outdoor seating offered a beautiful ambiance with live music, making it a great spot for a meal. The chicken enchilada dinner was delicious, and my friends enjoyed their burrito bowl entrees. The service was excellent, and the live entertainment added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. There's free event parking available outside, so valet isn't necessary. With such a positive experience, I look forward to trying more menu options during my stay.

Mary Anoky
I had a great experience at The Original Pancake House in Scottsdale for breakfast. The moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The menu offered a variety of breakfast options, and I was particularly eager to try their famous pancakes. I ordered the classic buttermilk pancakes, and they were fantastic—fluffy, light, and just the right amount of sweetness. I also tried the turkey sausage, which had good flavor, though it was a bit dry. However, that small issue didn't take away from the quality of the overall meal. The service was prompt and attentive, with the staff being knowledgeable about the menu and offering helpful recommendations. They made sure my coffee was always refilled and that I had everything I needed. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a charming, rustic feel. It was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, which added to the pleasant dining experience. Overall, my visit to The Original Pancake House in Scottsdale was positive. The friendly staff and delicious food made for a memorable breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying breakfast in a welcoming environment.
Coffee Plantation

Teodoro Zorgo
I stopped by Coffee Plantation in Scottsdale for breakfast and had a great experience overall. The coffee was fantastic, with the cold brew standing out as a new favorite. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the quick service. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. I enjoyed a delicious Danish alongside my coffee, and there was ample seating both indoors and outdoors. The cozy chairs and couches made for a relaxed atmosphere. Although I noticed the ceiling and fixtures could use a good cleaning, this didn't overshadow the positives. Once the cleanliness is addressed, I'll definitely be back for another visit. The owner, who I think was at the register, was a really cool guy with great flavor recommendations. Coffee Plantation is a solid spot for a laid-back and tasty breakfast.
Over Easy

Fareed Martinez
I stopped in to Over Easy for breakfast in Scottsdale because it looked interesting, and I'm so glad I did. The sweet potato tots, omelette, and multi-grain sourdough toast were excellent. Everything was DELICIOUS and FULL OF FLAVOR! I put that in caps because it truly was perfect. I'd happily return just to have more of their incredible food. The tachos were perfectly crispy, and the pork was great. Plus, they have vegan eggs, which were surprisingly good. The corned beef hash was meaty and satisfying. Service was great, and the manager even came over for a chat. I loved it so much I came back the next day. On my second visit, I tried the breakfast burrito with hash browns—it was really tasty! However, the vegan burrito with Beyond Sausage was a bit hard to eat, so I wouldn't recommend that one. Overall, Over Easy is a great breakfast spot, even if the menu can be hit or miss. The hash special was delicious and the portion was generous enough to have leftovers the next day. It’s definitely worth a visit!
Pinnacle Peak General Store
8711 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Scottsdale
(480) 991-1822
Kelli Budair
Pinnacle Peak General Store is a place I’ve appreciated for its unique charm and plethora of offerings. Over the years, I've found their ambiance delightful, especially during Christmas. The cozy, cabin-like setting with its gifts and antiques makes browsing a treat. Breakfast was once a highlight, especially the biscuits and gravy, which I frequently enjoyed dining in or taking to work. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing. The food, which I fondly remember, has become consistently cold and bland. Bringing friends for a birthday breakfast was embarrassing due to the lack of flavor and poor presentation. The once-solid offerings, like pizza and breakfast items, have declined in quality. Despite the nostalgic value and vibrant setting, the culinary experience no longer lives up to its legacy. Hopefully, they'll address these issues soon, as the spot still holds a special place for me and many others.
Chompie's Restaurant, Deli, and Bakery

Bethany Willbedone
Chompie's Restaurant, Deli, and Bakery in Scottsdale is a fantastic spot for breakfast, especially if you're a fan of NYC-themed delis with generous portions. I was thrilled to try the Scottsdale "Cragel," which had the intriguing addition of jabanera jelly and even included a potato cake. The pastrami was seemingly endless and deliciously seasoned, definitely worth it for any sandwich lover. The menu might seem a bit pricey at first glance, but the portions are enormous, so you really get your money's worth. My Jumbo Half Build Your Own pastrami sandwich on sourdough didn’t disappoint. My wife ordered the Stevie G’s Five-Town Special, which was both massive and mouthwatering. The fries were hot and perfectly seasoned, and the coleslaw is a must-try—I wish I had ordered a side to go! Our child tried the chicken BLT on a bagel, and it was just as satisfying. I appreciate the option to choose your bread type. The service was outstanding too; we were greeted and seated promptly, and our server, Tammy, knew the menu like the back of her hand. The split pea soup I ordered came out quickly, complete with a toasted bagel slice crouton, and was thick and flavorful. To top it all off, we got a 20% discount on take-home desserts, and the brownies were perfection. Plus, we were offered drink refills to go. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Chompie’s. It’s 15/10 for excellent food quality, freshness, and service!
Crave Cafe

I had breakfast at Crave Cafe, located in the Omni resort, and it was a delightful experience. This little cafe doubles as a souvenirs shop and offers a variety of bakery products, snacks, beverages, and even some essentials like toys and basic drug products. For breakfast, I opted for granola with yogurt and some fresh fruit, and both were deliciously fresh and satisfying. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, making the experience even better. The lady at the mobile CoffeeCraveCafe was particularly pleasant, ensuring my drink was made exactly as I requested. I appreciated her attentiveness and the warm atmosphere inside the cafe. The seating was cozy, and the overall ambiance was welcoming. It's a great spot for guests staying at the Omni resort, offering a convenient and tasty breakfast option without having to venture far. Even though the parking can be a bit tricky due to the resort location, the charm and convenience of Crave Cafe make it worthwhile. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

I had a delightful experience at IHOP in Scottsdale for breakfast. It had been years since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in, I noticed how quiet and calm the atmosphere was, which was a nice change of pace. My server, Karyn, was friendly and attentive, suggesting a few menu items that I might like. I decided on the veggie egg white omelet based on her recommendation, and it was a great choice. The omelet was tasty and the fruit accompanying it was incredibly fresh. The orange juice was also refreshing and paired well with my meal. The highlight, as always, was the pancakes—I absolutely love them, and they didn’t disappoint this time either. Overall, the service was excellent, and my meal was very enjoyable. I am glad I stopped by, and I look forward to returning. IHOP has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots in town!
