Even though I didn't stay at the inn, I'm really impressed that the Inn at St Mary's has such a fantastic bar open to the public. I stopped by for a coffee and was greeted by a super barista at the Starbucks inside. Kelly made my triple grande heavy cream cappuccino perfectly, with just the right amount of foam for sweetness and texture. My husband enjoyed his wild sweet orange Tazo tea as well. I'm thrilled we bought a house here in South Bend because this is definitely a spot we'll be coming back to often. Finding the place was a bit of an adventure since it's located inside the Morris Inn with no clear signage, but I'm very glad I decided to circle back. Everything from the menu was outstanding, with a diverse selection of items. Our server, Toby, was friendly and attentive, and the outdoor patio provided a lovely and peaceful setting. On our way out, an older gentleman thanked us for visiting, adding a nice touch to the experience. If we’re ever back in the area, we will definitely return. My Aunt Roz and I already plan to come back, hopefully served by the wonderful Kelly again. What an amazing brunch experience! The Lauber offers a lot of fun and adventurous options, and everything we tried was next-level amazing. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick, making the experience even better. I highly recommend the chicken and biscuits if you're there for brunch. The pot roast sliders were absolutely FIRE, and I loved the fish and chips so much that I wish I could have it again today. There were some small hiccups, like the green goddess salad dressing needing a bit more seasoning and the cheese on the cauliflower appetizer being a bit clumpy, but nothing was terrible. The steak sandwich had too much bread and not enough steak at the ends, but the flavors were still great. I can't believe I haven't been to Bendix Restaurant Family Dining before! The bending fajitas were amazing, and I definitely needed a to-go box for the leftovers. As a tractor-trailer driver hauling heavy equipment, it's important to find good spots for a satisfying meal. This place fits the bill.
