Tallinn Creperia

11.18.23: Yet another outing at Tallinn with Mom. She loves this place! We went for breakfast, and when we walked in, it was pretty much a full house. We ordered the California Breakfast Crepe and the Lemon Curd Crepe to share, and both had black coffee because last time it was really good, and this time it was the same. We both loved the California Breakfast Crepe! It came out super fresh and hot. Absolutely loved how the tomatoes weren't overcooked, nor was the spinach wilted. The Lemon Curd Crepe was our go-to, and we enjoyed that the raspberries are still seasonally sweet. 10.28.23: I had gone here for the first time as part of a private event and absolutely loved everything from the food to the experience as a whole. Enjoyed it so much that I had to show my mom this place because she loves crepes. This was her first time ever having a savory crepe, and since I told her how big it was, we decided to split the Carnita and Eggs Breakfast Crepe. I went with an Italian soda, choosing cherry as my flavor this time, and my mom had a freshly brewed cup of black coffee. Mom said the coffee was really good and wished later that I had asked what coffee they use. As for the crepe we shared, when it arrived, Mom said, "I told you we should split it if you said it was so big," and I had to reply that our crepe was already cut in half. She thought her half was still a big portion! We both agreed it tasted really good, with plenty of ingredients. The pork carnitas and eggs combo was almost like a breakfast burrito but way more elevated as a crepe. Mom loved that it was topped with sour cream, and I appreciated the generous portion of avocado, which often gets skimped on at other places. We shared the savory crepe because I wanted us to both have room for a sweet crepe. We ordered and split the Lemon Curd Crepe. It was really tasty, and we both loved the tart of the lemon combined with the fresh raspberries. The ambiance was nice and quiet, and the two ladies working were very friendly. This outing with Mom was a success, and she definitely wants to come back to bring her husband. Great diversity in menu items; I got the cowboy crepe and loved it. It was hearty, delicious, and huge! I definitely recommend that to anyone needing a big hearty meal. We also got the vampire fries, which were so flavorful and good, I could not put them down. The workers were friendly and helpful about talking about the menu items. This is a great place to try out! Found Tallinn Creperia on a Google search for a crepe breakfast restaurant. Since it was in Sparks and nearby, we decided to try. The place is quite small, about 1300 square feet. The interior is a bit spartan, but who really cares if it is clean and bright? I'm not a fan of crepes, but my wife loves them. She ordered a sweet crepe, and I got a savory one. I will say that the carnitas crepe was outstanding. It was the first crepe that I enjoyed eating. My wife ordered a classic sweet crepe, and I thought she might lick the plate clean. So, the food is definitely 5 stars. The only detraction is the use of paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils. Kind of gives a dive feel. However, don't let that distract you from the overall goodness.

Sparks Coffee Shop
2252 Oddie Blvd, Sparks
(775) 355-9440
Regina Dezendorf
Sparks Coffee Shop is easily the best breakfast spot in Washoe County. The spacious seating makes for a comfortable dining experience, and the portion sizes are impressive. The ultimate home fries with gravy were delicious, and the coffee was spot-on. During my visit, I tried the healthy egg white omelet, and it was fantastic. We went back for burritos, and my son loved his burger too. I've yet to find something I don't like here. Everything was perfect. I can't believe I hadn't discovered this place earlier, but I'm definitely spreading the word now. Even though it was crowded, I can see why—it's worth the wait. The mimosas were a great addition, too. Walking into Sparks Coffee Shop, the cleanliness stood out right away, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. I started with a fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was refreshing. At the server's recommendation, I tried the chilaquiles with carne asada. It was flavorful and generously portioned, with perfectly cooked carne asada. The service was friendly and attentive, making the visit even better. After grocery shopping, my daughter and I decided to check it out for coffee and a snack. I'm so glad we did. We quickly received our coffee, and sitting near the kitchen, we were wowed by the beautiful plates being served. When our food arrived, it was just as amazing, and the staff was accommodating. I highly recommend this place—you'll find something on the menu to love. It's my new favorite spot to eat!

M&M's Southern Café
820 Holman Way, Sparks
(775) 356-1070
Freddy Mass
At M&M's Southern Café for breakfast in Sparks, my experience was nothing short of amazing. My husband went for the Alligator basket, while I indulged in the frog leg basket. We tried the collard greens and macaroni and cheese on the side, and they were absolutely delicious. The fried okra was crisp and flavorful, and the beignets added a sweet touch to our meal. We even ordered a dinner and soft drink to go for our son. The service was great, and the food was fantastic! Earlier, I visited with my girlfriend and kids, and we were all impressed by the southern flavor. The food was fried to perfection, especially the alligator basket I had and the frog legs my girlfriend enjoyed. The homemade sweet tea was a delightful addition, and honestly, it’s some of the best southern food I’ve ever had. This place offers everything from alligator to fried chicken. Speaking of which, the fried chicken might just be the best I’ve had in my 60+ years; the batter is seasoned perfectly and oh-so-delicate. On this visit, my husband also tried the okra, catfish, and hush puppies, all of which were delicious. The servers made us feel right at home, welcoming us warmly. I’ll definitely be coming back here. Do your tummy a favor and eat at M&M's Southern Café—you won’t regret it! 😋

Jacks Coffee House
615 E Prater Way, Sparks

Haroldo Clarey
Jack's Coffee House in Sparks is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The new location on Prater, where the old Sizzler used to be, hasn't changed much in terms of decor, but the food and service make up for that in spades. The menu is similar to their other locations, with solid breakfast offerings that are consistently good. I love that the portions are generous and prices are reasonable, even with the recent slight increase. There's a 3.99% cash discount, which is a nice touch. The service here is excellent—our orders are always taken promptly, and we never have to wait long for our food or drinks. The servers are attentive, ensuring our coffee cups are never empty. During my visits, I’ve tried various dishes. The breakfast sandwich with hashbrowns, the Prater Scramble, and the chorizo scramble are all fantastic. The berry mimosa was a delightful surprise. On one occasion, I ordered pancakes but got crepes instead, which turned out to be a delicious mistake. The big dining room atmosphere accommodates large parties well—I remember a time we were served in record time despite being a big group. I also appreciate the location; it’s much closer for me than their original spot on Victorian. Their chilaquiles, chile relleno skillet, and Lo que sea are some of my top picks. Don’t miss out on their fresh scones; just be sure to ask for butter and honey. I’ve been here several times already, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. It’s a perfect place for a brunch date, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
Great Full Gardens
1330 Scheels Drive #102, Sparks
(775) 440-1663
Joel Stokes
During my visit to the area, I was on the hunt for a healthier lunch spot and was pointed toward Great Full Gardens. Walking in, the atmosphere immediately struck me as cool and unique, with interesting decor that sets a relaxed tone. The staff were exceptional—friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. For my meal, I tried the Teriyaki Bowl. It looked appealing, though the taste was simply acceptable. I wasn't disappointed since I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I did notice that adding meat to the bowl came with an unexpected additional cost of $8-$10. Despite this surprise, the overall environment and service made up for it. I also had breakfast here and opted for the breakfast burrito with the vegan meat option. While a bit dry on its own, adding sour cream made it just right. The mushroom burrito I had previously was delicious, and my friend was very happy with her grilled cheese and tomato soup. We shared a waffle, and it was so tasty that I highly recommend ordering one, whether as a side or a main dish. Their lattes are a delight too—I particularly enjoy the chai, while my friend loved the turmeric latte. Although I've had a mixed experience with the food, particularly noting the thinness of the burger patty on my first visit, the variety on the menu is impressive. It caters well to vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten allergies, like my fiancé and me. Despite the slightly high prices, the quality and flavor usually make it worthwhile. If you're in the area and looking for a family-friendly place with a broad menu, Great Full Gardens is definitely worth a visit.
BJ’s Barbecue
80 E Victorian Ave, Sparks
(775) 355-1010
Sandra Martinez
I drove six hours just to try BJ's Barbecue in Sparks, and it was worth it! The vibe here is fantastic, and the staff is genuinely friendly, giving the place an old-time diner feel. The pulled pork is wonderful, and while the ribs were good, they could have been better if the membrane was removed for a nicer texture. The BBQ sauces have a decent flavor, even if they're on the watery side. I'm a fan of their creatively named loaded fries, like the Whoopass fries—add eggs for a fun twist! While the mac and cheese could use more thickness and flavor, the cheese grits and BBLT come highly recommended. The cold beer is a great complement to the meal. Even though it gets busy, there’s first-come, first-served bar seating, which is convenient. Overall, it's a great family-friendly spot with some excellent BBQ options. Thanks for the delicious meal!
Crazy Bean Coffee
1410 E Prater Way, Sparks

I had a fantastic experience at Crazy Bean Coffee for breakfast. The clean bathroom and friendly service made my visits even more enjoyable. On my first visit, I tried the extreme hot mess on a ciabatta, which was packed with egg, sausage, a hash brown patty, and cheese. It was the extreme sauce with its little zing that truly made the dish delicious. I also had a latte, and while the coffee was decent, it wasn’t the standout for me; I later found out it comes from Pennsylvania. After ordering food from here for the first time, I was impressed. The hot mess was delicious and reminded me of the deli-style breakfasts from New York. I also tried the raspberry mocha, which was incredible. Everything arrived hot and nicely wrapped with tamper-evident seals, which was a nice touch. Visiting the physical location has been a treat! My husband and I have gone twice; we noticed the shop conveniently located across from our kids’ school. Each time, a very friendly gentleman at the window welcomed us, and the coffee was excellent. With such great service, coffee, and even pup cups for our furry friend, this will be our go-to morning coffee spot in Reno. Thank you, Crazy Bean Coffee, for consistently delivering a wonderful experience.

Squeeze In in Sparks is hands down one of the best breakfast spots I've been to in a while! A month ago, we enjoyed a fantastic meal there. The service was top-notch—friendly and efficient. The blueberry pancakes were incredible, and the Racy Tracy omelette was delicious! They have an impressive variety of mimosas, and I particularly enjoyed their Bloody Mary, especially the “Jeremiah” option. The decor is fun, with walls and seats you can tag your name on, adding a unique touch to the place. It's a great spot with a cozy atmosphere in Spanish Springs, perfect for a satisfying and affordable breakfast. The drinks stand out, with a perfect combination of flavors, and the place itself has been featured on the Food Network. Despite the 45-minute wait, the experience was worth it, largely thanks to our outstanding waiter who made our visit memorable. Whether you're a regular or it's your first time, Squeeze In is definitely worth a try!

We came to Peg's Glorified Ham n Eggs on a busy Saturday morning around 10 am. Despite the crowd, our family of five got seated right away. The staff was attentive and friendly, working well together to keep things moving smoothly. Every dish ranged from $15 to $20, with portion sizes big enough to share between two people. I loved the atmosphere and the overall experience. The only downside was the food arriving a bit cold, but that’s my only complaint. Visiting from Tennessee, this place was on my must-visit list, and it didn’t disappoint. The Glorified Country Gravy Biscuit Benedicts were amazing, and my husband enjoyed his 1/2 pound ham steak and eggs. Our server was sweet and attentive, making the visit even better. I’m glad we stopped by today!

Los Altos Breakfast Lunch is a fantastic spot for breakfast and lunch. The food is delicious, and the service is quick and attentive. While the burger I had was a bit disappointing, with a dry patty and crumbly bun, the other dishes more than made up for it. The Nutella crepes are my absolute favorite, and I highly recommend them. The menu offers some unique items that are definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's a great place to take friends and family for a satisfying meal. Despite the burger mishap, I'll definitely be going back to explore more of their menu.

Black Bear Diner Sparks

Black Bear Diner in Sparks is a great place for breakfast and a fresh alternative to Denny's. Their food is awesome, with dishes freshly made every day. I tried the Bear's Choice Breakfast with a waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage, and country potatoes. Everything was fresh, and the waffle was perfectly fluffy yet crisp. The sausage had a tasty blend of sage and spices. We also ordered the pot roast, which came on a huge plate. I chose green beans and mashed potatoes as sides. The green beans were seasoned well, and while the mashed potatoes could use a bit more gravy, the pot roast itself was impressive. It had a generous amount of tender, well-seasoned meat over vegetables, with gravy poured over it. It tasted delicious and far from anything old or dreary you'd find elsewhere. During my visits, Jessica was our waitress, and she was amazing—friendly, professional, and with a great sense of humor. It made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Whenever I'm swinging through Reno, I make it a point to stop by here. The Skirt Steak breakfast and their bacon are a must-try, with the bacon being the best I've ever had. I've visited several Black Bear Diners over the years, and this location didn't disappoint. If you're in Sparks, NV, and looking for a reliable breakfast spot, Black Bear Diner is a fantastic choice, combining a casual atmosphere with friendly service for a truly satisfying meal.

Jack's Cafe is a great spot for breakfast, offering a classic diner experience. The food was good; I enjoyed a biscuit with gravy while my husband had the corned beef hash. It's also an ideal place to discuss business plans. The service was super fast and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The waitress was attentive and the busser, Juan, was friendly, engaging in a nice conversation. Mario, the cook, prepares very tasty dishes with plenty of choices. What stood out to me was how they treat everyone with respect, no matter how you're dressed, delivering excellent and professional service. The place is quiet, making it perfect for breakfast, though it could use some maintenance and a furniture update. Overall, it's a really nice breakfast spot that I highly recommend.

My Favorite Muffin for breakfast in Sparks has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots. The prices are reasonable, and the food is amazing. When I shared some with a friend who lives nearby, they were thrilled to discover such a great bagel shop and plan to visit themselves. Both the bagels and muffins are delicious, and the quick, friendly service makes each visit a pleasure. I especially recommend the Turkey Club on a tomato basil bagel—it’s unbelievably good! Their coffee and smoothies are excellent too. Plus, the place is super kid-friendly; we've even received free mini muffins on occasion. I’m a big fan of their turkey and havarti sandwich on an everything bagel. I've tried recreating it at home, but it never comes out quite as perfect. The customer service is top-notch, and even though it can get busy, it's always worth it for such a yummy meal. Although I haven’t tried their muffins yet, their bagels are truly something special.

I had a fantastic experience at Ginna's Cafe for breakfast. The food was amazing and came out quickly. The pizza had a unique and amazing flavor that I loved. It's great how you can order everything from coffee and drinks to ice cream and candy all in one stop. If you're taking a break from shopping at Scheels, this is the perfect spot. Despite being a small restaurant inside a store, the food here is excellent. I tried the outdoorsman sandwich, a salad, and mac and cheese, and everything was delicious. The gelato looked so good that I couldn't resist trying the strawberry flavor, and it was absolutely delicious with a generous serving size. The customer service is consistently exceptional, and the lunch selection is great. I'm a fan of their blended coffee drinks, and even though I'm not usually a fudge fan, their delicious fudge won me over. I'll definitely be coming back for lunch or a snack next time I'm at Scheels.
Café Bellini

I've been to Café Bellini twice in 24 hours and both visits were exceptional. For dinner, I had the soup and salad combo, which was really fresh and delicious. Today, I enjoyed a patty melt with crispy sweet potato fries, chicken corn soup, chicken chili soup, and a Santa Fe salad. Everything was flavorful, and those sweet potato fries stayed crispy until the last bite. The service was outstanding on both occasions, with Christin going above and beyond in making sure we had a great experience. The portions are just right, and you even get a small loaf of bread while waiting for your food, which is a nice touch. My boyfriend loved the chicken chowder soup, and we appreciated how quickly our food arrived. Café Bellini, located inside Western Village Casino, truly stands out with its amazing customer service and excellent food. The ambiance is bright, modern, and relaxing, with comfortable booth seating. It's always a top choice for me, especially when my family visits. With 24-hour service and a welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder I'm never disappointed with whatever I choose here. The salmon melt sandwich is a must-try, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. This café is hands down the best in all the casinos, and I look forward to returning.

Empire Diner

I had a fantastic time at Empire Diner for breakfast. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing on a quiet Monday night, which gave us the chance to enjoy a hilarious time with our server, Alex. The experience was really enjoyable! The food was great and reasonably priced. I particularly liked the New York steak and breaded shrimp deal for only $15, and the refillable soda was just $2.99. They offered a variety of menu items at $15 and a weekly special for $10.99, like the prime rib quesadillas, which some friends ordered and enjoyed. The diner is inside Baldini's Sports Casino & Restaurant, adding a hidden gem vibe. Although the parking lot is huge, finding a spot was a bit challenging, but worth it since the diner wasn’t crowded when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. The service was top-notch, particularly thanks to Thanh, who made us feel welcome. I ordered the "Ranch Hand" breakfast, which came with a huge portion of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a big sausage link. The coffee was excellent, with a whole carafe left at the table – a nice touch! The atmosphere felt a bit dated, which might be intentional, but it didn’t detract from the experience. Despite the odd smells from passing through the casino, the staff's kindness made it worthwhile. Overall, Empire Diner offers excellent food, generous portions, great value, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal!

Denny's

During my visit to Denny's for breakfast in Sparks, I had an exceptional experience, primarily because of our server, Christopher. He greeted us warmly and was very attentive throughout our meal, always ensuring our drinks were topped off and that we had everything we needed. His menu knowledge was impressive, and he handled our orders perfectly, even accommodating special requests. Christopher's ability to make us feel valued was remarkable. He checked in just the right amount, and his friendly demeanor made the visit even better. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and prioritizes excellent customer service. If you’re there, definitely ask for Christopher for a great experience. For breakfast, I had eggs, sausage, hash browns, and a pancake, all of which were delicious. My only complaint was with the syrup dispenser, which wasn’t ideal for syrup. However, the server promptly brought me a small saucer of hot syrup, resolving the issue quickly. Later, I returned for a burger, which was fresh and juicy. The afternoon staff were equally impressive, with Leticia and Alejandro standing out. They worked seamlessly, supporting each other and ensuring everything was timely and correct. Their teamwork was incredible, and their love for what they do was evident. In contrast, a later meal didn't go as well. Our food orders were incorrect, with issues like undercooked steak and missing mac and cheese. The service deteriorated, and the management response left much to be desired, creating a negative atmosphere. Overall, Denny's staff like Christopher, Leticia, and Alejandro made my visits memorable for their exceptional service and teamwork. They truly shine in their roles and are invaluable assets to the restaurant.
