The staff may be few, but they are amazing at what they do. My coffee cup was always full, and the food came out quickly each time. The food itself is simply delicious. I was impressed by how fast everything was served, and the flavors were spot on. The service was excellent—my waitress was incredibly attentive, checking in on me multiple times during my meal. A huge plus for me was the pet-friendly patio. Traveling with my dog can be challenging, especially in the heat, but they kindly opened up the patio for us to dine comfortably. Their hospitality was much appreciated and made us both feel welcome. I'm definitely planning to return to Sunrise Skillet.

The Original Pancake House has quickly become my favorite breakfast spot in Toledo! It's always packed, and for a good reason. Today, I ordered my usual Connor’s Farmer Scrambler with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese, along with a side of chocolate chip pancakes. The scrambler with pancakes always hits the spot and is incredibly filling. This was my first time trying the chocolate chip pancakes, and they were bursting with chocolaty goodness. Normally, I go for the buckwheat pancakes. My brother decided on the German pancake with all the extra toppings, and a BLT. Even at 14, he didn't leave a single crumb! The German pancake is truly something special. If you can’t handle the full size, they offer a smaller version that’s still generous. The full size can easily feed three people. We enjoyed our meal, and the service was fantastic. It’s worth the 15-20 minute wait for such a great meal, plus leftovers to take home. This is hands down the best breakfast joint in Toledo. The pancakes and service are amazing! I love the farm animal decor, and even when it's busy, they seat you quickly. Be sure to ask for Missy, she's the best! This Toledo tradition never disappoints. The omelets are huge and fluffy, served with a short stack of pancakes. Service is always fast and friendly. I had breakfast here with my sister, and we were seated almost immediately, receiving our food in about 10 minutes. Special thanks to our waitress Missy for being so kind and attentive. She started my day off on a positive note. I highly recommend it!

Now, this was amazing. The food truly embodies "Home Cooking." The portions were generous and not for the faint-hearted. The vibe was spot-on, offering an excellent diner experience. Our server was sweet and attentive, though I didn't catch her name. Everyone there was helpful and filled with awesomeness. For first-time visitors, this is definitely a place you'll want to return to, especially to try the pie and ice cream before your entrée. It's like a trip back in time with some really good home-cooked food. I hadn't been to Schmucker's in 20 years, and I'm thrilled to say it's just as I remembered. Everything is as good as ever, with huge portions! Normally, we go for breakfast, but this time we picked up our granddaughter from camp and asked if she wanted to try Schmucker's for dinner. My wife shared the diner's 75-year history and raved about the pies, which convinced her. Our 11-year-old studied the menu and chose fried chicken, while we ordered Blimpy Burgers. I joked that usually kids get burgers and adults get chicken, and she laughed. The fried chicken was done to perfection, and the burgers and fries were excellent. Our server was really good. We loved the diner's old-time ambiance. Though we were full, we took pies to go because what would a visit to Schmucker's be without pie? The Dutch Apple, chocolate, and Key Lime pies were terrific. The fries are the best in town! The chicken and biscuits full course is a must-try—crazy delicious and great for sharing, complete with soup, two sides, and pie. We got the chocolate peanut butter pie, and it was insane. The soups were great too. On my second visit, I got the seafood platter, which didn’t quite measure up to the chicken and biscuits. But the caramel apple walnut pie was great too. Well worth the stop!

If you're a hobbit, Sunrise Skillet in Toledo is the ideal spot for a fantastic first breakfast. Be prepared though, the portions are so generous you might just have to skip second breakfast. The staff, much like cheerful elves, are incredibly helpful and friendly. The place filled up quickly, a testament to its popularity. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Ashley, our server, was outstanding and made our first visit memorable. My all-meat omelette with potatoes and wheat toast hit the spot, especially with a bit of added hot sauce and ketchup. The potatoes were nicely fried, just the way I like them. We did encounter a small hiccup when my wife wanted a chicken tender on her breakfast sandwich, and they wouldn't allow it despite having chicken and waffles on the menu. One minor distraction was the attire of some young ladies; leggings without proper coverage can be off-putting, but that's a side note. The food truly was amazing, and we left satisfied. Overall, thanks for the great breakfast! The experience was everything we hoped for and more.

Biking down to Green Lantern Lunch for breakfast in Downtown Toledo was totally worth it. This place has that classic small-town diner vibe that really makes you feel at home. The big coffee mugs and hearty breakfast plates are perfect, and the staff truly top it off with their friendliness and efficiency. It’s easy to see why this spot is a pillar in the community. Although I decided to try the fried bologna sandwich and a small bowl of chili, which weren’t quite up to par, the atmosphere more than made up for it. The fried bologna could’ve used more time on the grill, and the chili was a bit bland for my taste. Despite these dishes missing the mark, the rest of the experience was fantastic. The restaurant’s atmosphere is cozy, and the service really shines. I was impressed with the coffee, the pancakes were excellent, and the omelette was generously filled with hash browns, ham, onions, and green peppers. It was delicious, and I can’t wait to come back! On our first visit, we also tried a "half and half" burger with a ground beef patty and a sausage patty that was unique and filling. My husband enjoyed his double cheeseburger with a side of wonderfully crunchy onion rings. Our waitress was attentive, and the rest of the staff was just as friendly. Even though they were a bit busy, our food arrived in a reasonable time. We're definitely planning to return to explore more of their breakfast offerings.

Having grown up in Toledo but now living an hour away, it's a treat to visit a place that consistently delivers great food, service, and prices. Over the years, we've had nothing but positive experiences at this diner, and it's impressive how you can enjoy a sit-down meal for two for less than $25. On our first visit to Executive Diner, I ordered the Hangover—two biscuits topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, and sausage gravy, along with a side of home fries. The meal was delicious, with generous portions. My husband opted for the Mediterranean skillet, appreciating the flavorful gyro meat. Despite being busy, the service was exceptional, and our food arrived promptly. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and even though some parties had to wait for a table, nobody waited long. I was impressed with the pricing, too. We spent about $26 before tip and left feeling stuffed. We'll definitely return to explore their lunch menu. Once, with a group of eight, we were seated immediately, and the waitress handled our orders patiently. The cooks were efficient, and their engagement with customers was a pleasant touch. On one visit, the hostess seemed a bit dry, but the waitress made up for it with her usual great service, and the food was excellent. The atmosphere is fantastic, and my breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and sausage was perfect. I'm picky and rarely post reviews unless a place truly stands out. I highly recommend this diner for anyone looking for a consistently great dining experience.

Love this place! The food is always great, with generous portions and fantastic taste. Victoria is always very friendly and nice every morning I go! I got the #9 with a side of bacon. The #9 was good, though I did need to add a bit of salt and pepper. Crumbling the bacon and mixing it in made it even better. The service is super fast, and this diner truly is an amazing little gem. It's my first time ordering through DoorDash to work, and the pancakes were good. The home fries could be a little softer and less dry, though. I've been here a handful of times, both in the morning and afternoon, and Monroe Street Diner is it. The number 4 breakfast, with 3 eggs, 2 meats, toast, and home fries, was cooked beautifully. The cheese was scrambled with the eggs just right, and the home fries had a great texture—not too mushy. In the afternoons, I've tried the smash burger, and it maintained the same high standard as breakfast. The atmosphere is typical diner style, but the friendly and talkative waitresses make it easy to overlook. Overall, it's a very good experience, and I would absolutely recommend supporting this small business.

We went to KT's Diner for breakfast while staying near Maumee Bay State Park, and it was a great experience. Even though it was a busy Friday mid-morning, the service was efficient and friendly. We both enjoyed the bacon, egg, and toast breakfast, and we also got a side of pancakes. The bacon was real, thick-cut, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The home fries, with cheese and onions, were simply amazing. The pancakes were huge, fluffy, and delicious. This diner is straightforward and focuses on good food at reasonable prices. It's a fantastic "hole in the wall" with plenty of parking, even for larger vehicles like our 40’ straight truck. The customer service had a welcoming, homey feel, which made the experience even better. It's conveniently located near I75, and despite being a party of three with different orders, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and left with clean plates. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely return to KT's Diner.

First Watch in Toledo is a great spot for breakfast! The atmosphere is really inviting, and the food is top-notch. I absolutely love their Chicken Avocado Chop—it's a solid 10/10 for me. Their pancakes, especially the pumpkin and chocolate ones, are delicious, earning a solid 8/10. The Smoked Salmon Frittata is another highlight at 9/10. While I did have a couple of hiccups with some dishes, like the turkey sausage and gravy, which were a bit too peppery for my taste, the potatoes made up for it—they were easily the best part of that meal. The drinks and vibes are fantastic too. Even though I initially didn’t try any beverages, the coffee turned out to be excellent when I finally did. Our server, TJ, was super friendly and made the experience even better. I highly recommend visiting for the great food and friendly atmosphere!

I strongly recommend visiting Sam & Charlie's White Hut Diner for breakfast; you will not be disappointed. Walking into the place, I knew it could go one of two ways, but luckily, it turned out to be fantastic. Sure, the decor hasn't been updated in 40 years, but that's part of its charm. The menu offers a huge variety of options, and it wasn't even outrageously busy for a Sunday brunch. They even offer waffle halves and quarters so you can sample all the flavors. Prices are very reasonable, and I'd highly recommend stopping by. It's refreshing to see places like this still going strong, especially when many had to close during COVID. Eating inside, enjoying what wasn't possible during the pandemic's height, felt wonderful. If you're a breakfast fan, this is the place for you. More waffle varieties and breakfast options than any chain diner can offer. You'll leave stuffed and probably needing a nap. Fresh and delicious food with loyal customers is all the proof you need.

Rockets Cafe in Toledo is my favorite spot for breakfast. It has everything you want in a café: good food, ample parking, and plenty of seating. The shaded outdoor seating is perfect if you come after noon. The atmosphere is welcoming, making you feel right at home the moment you sit down. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I love that they know my order by heart, especially my home fries, whether I dine in or order through Postmates. The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions that easily cover both breakfast and lunch for me. My go-to is the banana French toast and, of course, the home fries. My friends often order the Early Riser, which is another two-meal wonder. On my last visit, I had the Boss Special, which came with home fries, sausage links, bacon, eggs, and toast. Everything was cooked perfectly, though the hash browns were a bit greasy, as expected. I also appreciate how they support local businesses by allowing people to leave their business cards. It's a small but meaningful touch. Overall, Rockets Cafe offers a great atmosphere with plenty of kid-friendly options, and I can't say enough about how kind the staff is. I absolutely love this place and look forward to visiting again.

Nick's Family Cafe is a fantastic spot for breakfast. I absolutely loved the biscuits with eggs and gravy, while my sweetie enjoyed a hearty bowl of oatmeal. The portions are huge, and the food was really good! Our waitress, who mentioned having twin boys, was incredibly sweet and attentive. This was my second visit to Nick's Cafe while passing through Perrysburg. I opted for the chef salad this time, and it was a great choice. The portion was large, and everything tasted fresh. Once again, the service was top-notch. Although the grilled bologna was a bit too thick with too many onions, and the grilled ham & cheese with tomato was soggy, the service remained excellent. The cafe was clean, even though we arrived near closing time. Overall, two thumbs up for Nick's Family Cafe! 👍👍

As a family of six, we're big fans of Waffle House and make it a point to stop by whenever we're traveling. Our latest visit in Toledo was truly enjoyable. We went on a weekday around noon, and it wasn't busy at all, which meant fast service and warm, delicious food. Our server, Jess, was incredibly sweet and clearly loved her job. Vince also contributed to our experience with his friendly attitude and willingness to help with anything we needed, really lifting the atmosphere. The waffles were outstanding—definitely some of the best I've ever had. I’d absolutely recommend Waffle House to anyone, including those from outside the country looking to experience a classic American breakfast. We only ordered a waffle and a side of sausage, but both were excellent. If you’re looking for a quick and satisfying meal, Waffle House is the place to be. We will definitely be back soon!

The breakfast tacos were a highlight—SO tasty! The coffee and other drinks were superb as well. It's worth noting that City Egg closes early, so it's best to go in the morning. The location is conveniently tucked near City Park with plenty of off-street parking. The interior feels welcoming, almost like a cozy "grandma's kitchen." Although the food was decent, the C-Bus Juice was a standout with its fresh flavor. The staff was friendly, and their open seating dining area was a plus. Overall, City Egg is an ideal choice if you're looking for a quick and pleasant breakfast. I HIGHLY recommend it and will definitely make it a point to return whenever I'm in Toledo!
