I also grabbed an almond croissant that paired perfectly with my coffee. Before leaving, I tried a sample of their Ethiopian coffee. It was surprisingly light, almost like tea, and tasted fantastic. I'll be ordering a full cup of that on my next visit. Their menu has a good range of options. The lavender latte with oat milk was smooth and not too sweet, which was a win for me. The spinach and artichoke pastry was delicious, though I’ll ask to have it warmed next time. The lox toast was another highlight—definitely worth a try. Having breakfast at Wildflower Cafe in Torrance was an absolute delight. Amazing!!!! We walked into King's Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant on a Friday at 8:15 pm, just 45 minutes before closing, and were greeted with such warmth and friendliness. Henry, our server, was outstanding—super nice and attentive to our questions. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. The host and the girl behind the bakery counter were equally kind. The Pupus Platter was hot and fresh, a true highlight of our visit. We were really excited to eat here since we're big fans of the Hawaiian bread, and the restaurant didn’t disappoint. The portions were generous and satisfying, though the steak was a bit rare for my liking. Sophia, our server during another visit, provided great service, always checking in on us, which made a significant difference compared to our initial experience. While the decor is pleasant and I loved the fish tank, there was a noticeable moldy odor that was a bit off-putting. However, it didn’t overshadow the overall positive experience. Absolutely joyous café! This has to be one of the brightest breakfast spots around. The atmosphere is cheerful, the staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic. I first heard about Yellow Vase online and decided it was the perfect spot to try out. We found a table outside with an amazing view of the ocean, which truly added to the experience. Ordering at the counter was smooth, even with a line, because they have a fast and efficient system. As soon as we sat down and started sipping on our tea and espresso, our food arrived. The Roasted Veggie Scramble with goat cheese was delightful. My only critique is that I wished there was more goat cheese because it complemented the scramble so well. The side salad and slices of bread were a nice touch, too. The decor inside is adorable, and I couldn’t resist grabbing some pastries to go. Yellow Vase is such a gem! I’m eager to check out their other locations, as I hear they offer unique options. But I’ll definitely be returning to this spot. Their menu is diverse, and I’m excited to try more dishes. The Chicken Curry Sandwich was another highlight, perfectly enjoyed with the view. In a nutshell, this Yellow Vase has a fantastic view, perfect for a quick bite, especially if you’re on a bike ride. From the moment I saw the sign and ample parking outside, I had a good feeling about this place. The large waiting area and old-school method of writing your name down during busy times showed me this place is popular on weekends. This place has been around since 1946 and clearly for good reason. The food is delicious. On this visit, I had Chilaquiles with chile verde, two eggs, rice, and beans. It was so tasty, I finished it in 15 minutes! My wife had omelette and substituted it with a banana pancake, which was the highlight, especially with their magical pecan syrup. Our waitress Wendy had great vibes and was very attentive. Hot N Tot is a classic diner with a welcoming atmosphere. It's refreshing to find a spot that offers delicious food with fresh ingredients and a classic feel. They even use handwritten tickets for your bill! I love everything about this place, and we’ll definitely be back. They’ve gained three new customers for life. They're open for breakfast and lunch only, which makes sense given how well they've mastered their dishes. The staff is hardworking and dedicated, and every dish I saw looked delicious. It’s a favorite breakfast spot for us now. The ham steak is especially generous, often enough for leftovers. I also enjoyed the country sausage biscuits and gravy, which was filling and perfectly complemented by thin-cut potatoes with sautéed onions. It's clear that the staff takes pride in knowing their regulars by name and what they usually order—something rare to see these days. We'll definitely return!

The place seems to be gearing up for something big with several "coming soon" options and a diverse menu. I tried the Rise and Shine burrito with both hot and mild salsa, and the service was great. The staff was friendly, ensuring a positive experience. I also tried the #1 sub, the captain's club—it was on the pricey side, but incredibly tasty and definitely worth it. They have a decent selection of beers, and the service remained excellent throughout my visit. I also picked up a couple of breakfast burritos, including the Philthy Philly and a Pastrami burrito. They were generous in size, although I felt they were a bit too packed with egg and hash brown to bulk them up, with only a sprinkle of meat. It wasn't quite the same as my previous visits, where there seemed to be more meat, but the flavors were still enjoyable. Overall, despite a few tweaks I’d suggest, I had a pretty good experience and would recommend stopping by, especially for that sandwich.

Even though we had to wait over 20 minutes for a table, it was worth it. The food was normal quality, but still quite acceptable. I had the pancake combo with blueberry pancakes, and my partner had the machaca with eggs and potatoes, plus a freshly made biscuit. The food was tasty and the service was attentive. We sat outside on the patio and really enjoyed our meals. Overall, The Nook is a wonderful breakfast spot in Lomita. The food is great, and the service is awesome. We will definitely be coming back!

After a long flight, our group tried various dishes like patty melts, omelets, eggs benedict, and blueberry pancakes—all delicious. My machaca burrito was outstanding. Each dish was satisfying and had that classic diner feel. I actually planned to order the chicken fried steak but ended up with the classic meatloaf instead. It came with mashed potatoes smothered in brown gravy and a side of corn. The meal also included a choice of soup or salad, and I went with the salad, which was your typical iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, and croutons topped with Thousand Island dressing—keeping it classic. While the meatloaf wasn't the best I've ever had, it was tender and tasty. The atmosphere was pure Americana, with regulars chatting with the staff on a first-name basis. It's a cozy spot that brings back many good memories of dining with my family. The service was a little slow at the start, as we waited a bit for our drinks, but overall, the service was above awesome. The waitress checked in on us frequently, making sure we were all set. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing, especially the kid's burger and Cobb salad. I love coming here; it’s a nice place to have a tasty meal. The menu is extensive, and everything I've tried has been delicious. My coworkers and I often order from here on Fridays, and the service is always quick. Once, they forgot an item, but they made it right with a free drink on my next visit. The place is popular and busy, a testament to the quality of the food.
