From the moment we walked in, Latoya warmly greeted us and patiently guided us through the menu, which was perfect since it was our first time there. My mom and I ordered the scramble bowl with a side of gravy, and the biscuits were incredibly soft and moist. The food was consistently hot and fresh, which I truly appreciated as a picky eater. Solonna, our server, was excellent and made sure to inform us about any extra charges, like the sausage added to the pancakes. Her honesty was refreshing. We also tried the Bonut strawberry shortcake style, and my son declared it the best thing he's ever eaten. I ordered the bacon extra crispy, and it was cooked perfectly. We were a table of three and wanted to try a bit of everything. The breakfast bowl with eggs and chorizo, complete with jalapenos, was incredibly tasty. Of course, we had to try the biscuits, which were fresh and perfectly made. The only suggestion I have would be to offer house-made jam, but even without it, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was great despite being busy when we visited on a Sunday at 12:30. We were seated immediately, and Jodi, our server, was friendly, quick, and attentive. The Big Breakfast and Ham Steak with biscuits and gravy were as perfect as a breakfast could be. Even the coffee was good. Overall, the service was fantastic, and the prices were fair, with portion sizes large enough to share. If I ever find myself back in Tulsa, I will definitely return to The Big Biscuit. Our first visit to Sunrise Cafe for breakfast was fantastic! The chicken fried steak was delicious, and the eggs were spot on. I really loved the cinnamon roll pancake, and the fruit was incredibly fresh. The staff was super friendly, adding to the positive experience. We'll definitely be back soon! Excellent food and great service make this place a winner, and the independence from calorie counts is a nice bonus. Though I didn't take pictures, I did try the chocolate gravy. It was a bit too sweet for me, but plenty of others loved it, so it's perfect if you like sweet flavors. My choice, the apple cinnamon oatmeal pancake, was superb! It was fluffy, moist, and packed with apple chunks. The portion was generous, and I’m sure the leftovers will be just as good after a quick pop in the air fryer. Sunrise Cafe also offers fun breakfast/brunch cocktails, mocktails for kids, and a wide variety of coffee options. If you can't decide which coffee to get, they even offer coffee flights! Overall, an excellent spot for breakfast or brunch.

The Apple Barrel Cafe in Tulsa is a fantastic spot for breakfast. Every experience I've had here has been wonderful, from the delicious food to the excellent service. We've held several family dinners at this location, and they always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The quick service and friendly staff, including the attentive owner, add to the pleasant experience. I've never had a bad meal here, and neither has anyone in my family. Even when the parking lot is busy during downtown events, we've always managed to find a spot. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food served. If you haven't tried this cafe yet, you're truly missing out. Their breakfast options are available anytime, which is a win in my book. The atmosphere is clean and cheerful, and the staff is both friendly and efficient. The French toast was tasty, the omelet was substantial, and the pancakes were perfectly fluffy. During the Tulsa Oktoberfest, a group of us grabbed a late dinner here, and the service was stellar, thanks to our waitress Tiffany. Another morning, a friend and I came back for breakfast, and Jennifer, our server, provided outstanding service once again. Even when we got breakfast to go, Tiffany took great care with our order. I hope to return next October and see everyone, including Jay, again. For a fuss-free, satisfying meal, I highly recommend giving Apple Barrel Cafe a try.

Our server, Rachel, was fantastic—super friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were always topped off. My wife ordered the Pumpkin Pancake Meal, which came with two eggs, two bacon, and two pumpkin pancakes. I went all in with the Meat Fiesta: two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, two ham, pumpkin pancakes, and hash browns. The flavors didn’t disappoint! The sausage and ham were perfectly seasoned, the bacon was thick and crispy, and the eggs were cooked just right. The pumpkin pancakes were packed with flavor, and I loved that they served whipped cream on top—it made a great substitute for butter. The best part? Since it was our first time, Rachel surprised us with a massive cinnamon roll—more like a cinnamon roll cake! I always judge a diner by my go-to meal: two over easy, crispy hashbrowns, crispy bacon, and a biscuit with gravy. At Timmy's, it was perfection on a plate, fresh and beautifully presented. My plate was spotless by the end. My wife was equally impressed with the Timmy’s breakfast "light," a delicious skillet meal loaded with hash browns, bacon, sausage, ham, tomatoes, green onion, and cheese, all topped with two eggs. She called it the best diner breakfast she’s ever had and even said we must come back, which is high praise. The service was excellent, and the diner was clean and comfortable. It's nothing fancy, but it has a cozy charm that shouldn't be overlooked. This was our first time here, but it definitely won’t be our last! My Belgian waffle was perfect, and my husband’s French toast combo hit the mark too. Despite the atmosphere not being the highlight and the initial wait for service, the food made up for it. I went for the special at $9.99, which included lasagna, a side salad with garlic toast, and excellent French dressing. The lasagna, loaded with cheese and marinara sauce, was seasoned perfectly. The portion sizes were impressive. My turkey, ham, and bacon club with hash browns was outstanding, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her massive chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Our server, Diane, was fantastic, attending to all our needs with a friendly demeanor. The diner is clean, comfortable, and offers friendly service. The owner even checked in on everyone, showing genuine care for customer satisfaction. Our salad orders—the Chicken Avocado and the Brookside Chicken—were generous and delicious, with a great selection of house-made dressings. With improved access due to construction shifts on Peoria, visiting Brookside Diner is now even easier. The meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and homemade rolls were some of the best I've had. With enjoyable meals and great service, Brookside Diner is definitely a place I'll return to soon.

While the food wasn't mind-blowing, it was certainly satisfying, and I suspect their desserts are a real treat. The latte was excellent, though I wish they offered more size options since I finished it before my food arrived. Our waitress Dani (hope I got that right!) was incredibly accommodating and took great care of us. We started with onion rings that were big and delicious—I didn't mind risking a burn because they were that good! My aunt ordered French toast with bacon, which she loved, while I went for the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll. Everything was fresh, hot, and downright tasty. The chicken fried steak was huge, the mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy, and the green beans had just the right touch of bacon and onions. I devoured every last bite, and it was exactly what I needed after my hospital stay. The whole visit brightened my week, and the meal was like a revival for both body and soul. The owners are welcoming and hospitable, making it a 10/10 experience. We also had lunch there, and the service is consistently excellent.
