Great Harvest Bread Co. in Tyler, TX, exceeded my expectations for breakfast. Laura Jones clearly knows what she's doing. I'd seen posts about this place, particularly their king cake, and I was intrigued. Unlike traditional king cakes overloaded with sugar, their cinnamon cream king cake was perfect—not too sweet and wonderfully moist. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The highlight for me was the cinnamon chip bread pudding. Its texture was divine, and it had just the right amount of sweetness. The friendly staff made the experience even better, offering samples and engaging warmly with us. The interior was inviting, and the variety of products was impressive—I look forward to trying more. The manager was genuinely kind, remembering my family and giving candy to my kids. This type of attentive service really sets the place apart. Although I'm a pastry chef and had some thoughts on the sourdough, the overall experience was delightful. I recommend stopping by for a delicious breakfast and some of the friendliest service in town. Don't miss the ham breakfast sandwich on Dakota bread—it's excellent. It's a great spot for a morning latte and scone as well.

The Diner Tyler

First time visiting The Diner Tyler for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience! Our waitress, Katie, and Amanda, the manager, were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Although there was a bit of a wait for our table, which was odd since it wasn’t too busy, it was worth it once we sat down. The food took a little while—about 30 minutes—but it was worth the wait. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious and took me back to memories of my grandmother's cooking. The chopped steak was tasty, though the gravy was a tad salty for my taste, and the green beans could have used a bit more flavor. However, the sweet tea was spot on—a Texas essential! Parking can be a bit tight, but this hidden gem is definitely worth it. I also found this place during a weekend visit to town, and it was an unbelievable find. Despite being busy, the staff checked on us regularly, which was appreciated. I ordered Migas and cinnamon roll pancakes—both were delicious and portions were generous. Prices are fair for a local diner, not too expensive but with quality food. Our server, Hannah, was sweet, attentive, and recommended the brisket cheese fries, which were to die for. The overall atmosphere was great, with music that added to the experience. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a hearty breakfast in town. Can't wait to come back for another round of great food and service!

Sooo good. This food makes me wanna cry! Good lord! Thank you baby Jesus for this fine place run by fine people! If you want some really good home-cooked soul food, this is the spot. It’s a hidden gem, for real. The food is always good, but the service from these ladies makes it great. Highly recommend. I've owned three restaurants, and this little gem is a must-try. It's clean, friendly, and has some AWESOME good ol' fashioned home cooking! A must try! Don't pass it up!

La Plazita is truly a gem for breakfast and lunch in Tyler. This wonderful Christian family-run restaurant has an amazing way of making sure you leave satisfied and never hungry. The food is consistently delicious, with everything made from scratch. They have a great breakfast menu featuring a variety of American and Mexican dishes, all served in generous portions. Walking into the restaurant, you can immediately feel the warmth and dedication of the staff. Although they close at 5 pm and are closed on Sundays for worship, it’s well worth planning your visit around their schedule. The portions are large and satisfying, making it an excellent spot for families and groups. The Monterey fajita combo stands out, with tender beef fajita, juicy chicken, and plenty of vegetables and mushrooms. The chips and salsa are a must-try as well. The service is consistently stellar, and the friendly environment adds to the charm. La Plazita is definitely one of Tyler's hidden treasures, and I recommend it to anyone looking for hearty and tasty meals in a welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to returning soon!

Torchy's Tacos is hands down one of my favorite spots for breakfast in Tyler. The tacos not only look great but taste even better! Their chips and salsa are addictive. The portions are just right for the price, and while $5+ might seem steep for a taco, it's worth every penny. The service is friendly without being overbearing, which I appreciate. My drink was always full, and I didn't have to ask for anything twice. The atmosphere is lively yet calm, although the AC can be a bit much, so bringing a jacket isn't a bad idea. If you're vegetarian, the fried avocado is a must-try – it's perfectly spiced and delicious. The food is consistently good, and service is quick and friendly. The bar and restaurant are clean, making it a great spot. Torchy's has been my go-to for those tough moments like finals and chemistry tests. Today, Rebecca made my visit special by remembering my usual order. The lively atmosphere is welcoming, and I can't wait to celebrate my brother's birthday here next week with some amazing tacos. Highly recommend trying it out for yourself!

I've thoroughly enjoyed my visits to The Grove Kitchen & Gardens for breakfast in Tyler. Every time I've been there, the service has been excellent, with attentive servers who really make you feel welcome. The atmosphere caters to everyone, and the food is consistently delicious. On one occasion, my mom and I enjoyed lunch on the patio, surrounded by the beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The interior was spotless and tastefully decorated, adding to the overall lovely atmosphere. We tried the Blackened Halibut and Filet Au Poivre—both dishes were great, though the halibut could have used a bit more sauce to suit our tastes. The apple pie cheesecake for dessert was a delightful finish. During one visit, I treated myself to the Steak Frites, which hadn’t been on my plate for over five years. It did not disappoint! The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were spot-on—a real treat. Service is a standout feature here. Tristan, our server, was exceptional, offering helpful recommendations and maintaining perfect timing throughout our meal. As someone in the service industry myself, I have high expectations, and Tristan exceeded them easily. He’s attentive without being intrusive, and his service alone would make me recommend asking for him on your visit. I love the overall vibe of The Grove—it's upscale yet relaxing, with a cute, funky interior that catches your eye. The fancy bar area and the options for outdoor space add to the charm. It's a place where attention to detail is evident, not just in the food and service but in the entire dining experience. Highly recommend it!

From the moment I walked into Twelve Kitchen + Cocktails for breakfast in Tyler, I knew it was going to be a great dining experience. The vibe is laid-back yet high class, and we were seated quickly by the hostess. Our server, Adeline, was amazing—one of the best servers we've ever had. She seemed to know exactly what we needed before we did, and took great care of my wife and me. The food was excellent. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious, and the Thai noodle steak salad was fantastic. I'd give the food a solid 5/5 stars, but the service deserves a 10/5. The atmosphere was perfect and the staff incredibly helpful. Despite going during the dinner rush, there was no wait, which was a pleasant surprise. I tried the carnitas sandwich with fries and Gouda mac & cheese, and it was superb—the mac & cheese especially was some of the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed a smoked old-fashioned, which was one of the best drink experiences I've had. This place is one of the most casual yet fancy restaurants I've been to in Tyler. Everything we had was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a business casual spot that’s also family-friendly and budget-friendly. Whether it’s the food or the service, Twelve Kitchen + Cocktails hits the mark.

Mama's Restaurant is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is consistently good, and there's something for everyone on the menu. During my visit, I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict—the eggs were cooked perfectly, though I’d recommend asking for extra toasting on the English muffins and crispy hashbrowns if that's your preference. On another occasion, I tried the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and fries, which came with toast. It was delicious and definitely a dish worth trying. The huevos rancheros are my go-to, and my husband can’t get enough of the el mexicano omelet. We love the place so much that we visit at least twice a month. The restaurant was pretty busy when I went, so the service was just okay, possibly because it was early in the morning. Despite that, the staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I also noticed they offer a senior citizen menu, which I found to be a thoughtful touch. All in all, Mama's Restaurant is a reliable choice for a satisfying meal, and I look forward to going back.

We arrived at Corner Bakery Cafe at 9am, eagerly anticipating the blueberry muffins we had been looking forward to during our drive. Unfortunately, they were already out, which was a bit surprising given the time. It seems like they should consider making more since others were asking for them too. I opted for the cinnamon bread instead, but it was a bit dry for my taste. On a positive note, the yogurt and hazelnut cream coffee were both enjoyable. The atmosphere of the cafe was calm and tranquil, even during the lunch rush, which was a nice surprise. As part of the Two Favorites Deal, I ordered the Rustic Italian Panini and the Chicken Carbonara Pasta, both of which were fantastic. I also tried the Dragonfruit Arnold Palmer, which took a little getting used to, but I ended up liking it. The cold Maple Pecan Bar was delicious, though I had to remind the staff to bring it to me. The highlight of my visit was definitely taking home a bag of their specialty bakery selections, like the Raisin Pecan Crisp Bread, which was absolutely delicious. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality and variety offered. While the food mostly hit the mark, the service was a bit lacking. There was no warm greeting when we entered, and the staff didn't seem particularly cheerful or welcoming. But on a previous visit, I had the soup and sandwich lunch combo. The turkey avocado club was delicious, and though the chicken noodle soup was just okay, my friend's Caesar salad looked great. Despite a few hiccups, I would definitely return, as the majority of the food was excellent. I'll make sure to take some pictures next time.

We had an early dinner at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Tyler, and it was fantastic! The food was excellent, but the service was even better. Our waitress, Vickie M., was the best server we've ever had at this location. She was super nice and pleasant, bringing our hot food out in a timely manner. I really hope her boss sees this review and gives her a well-deserved bonus! Cracker Barrel meals are my go-to when I'm on the road, feeling like the next best thing to home-cooked meals. The new hash brown Shepherd's pie is delicious. We've stopped by this location three times in the last two months because the service is always good and the food consistently hits the mark. Their breakfast, especially the crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, and pancakes, is always served quickly and tasting great. The large parking lot with plenty of shade is a bonus, keeping our pups cool. I can't forget to mention their store! I always find cute clothes for my granddaughters and little things to gift to friends and family. This time of year, I love seeing the Christmas decorations they're starting to put out. Overall, I love Cracker Barrel for their comfort foods and cozy atmosphere. It's like having a home-cooked meal without the mess. The service, food, and shopping experience at this Tyler location are always top-notch.

I had an amazing experience at the Cotton Patch Cafe in Tyler for breakfast. The Chicken Fried Chicken was excellent—moist, tasty, and served quickly. Our server, Kendall, was a delight. Polite, efficient, and easy to talk to, he truly enhanced our dining experience. We were seated immediately and brought bread, butter, and drinks right after ordering. Everything came out in under 15 minutes and was just as we ordered. Kendall kept a watchful eye on our drinks and cleared plates promptly, which is rare these days. I brought my 96-year-old mother, who is very particular about her meals, and she was thrilled. She even wondered why we hadn't visited before, though we've dined at other Cotton Patch locations. Now that we're in Tyler once a month, we'll definitely visit more often. The menu offers many options, and the prices are reasonable. The portion sizes were generous enough for leftovers, and the food felt as close to homemade as you can get when dining out. We've had a consistently pleasant experience here, with servers like Molly providing friendly and attentive service without being overly intrusive. Their $9.99 lunch special is a great deal. All in all, Cotton Patch Cafe in Tyler is becoming a favorite for my family and me, and we look forward to many more meals here. Keep up the great work, management!

Stopped by Panera Bread for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were nice and friendly, which set the tone for the visit. The store was clean, though there was a stack of plates on the trash can at the end of lunch. The dining area had a bit of a "Denny’s" feel, but it was comfortable and welcoming. Noticed a few tables quietly enjoying board games, which added a fun and laid-back vibe to the place. Tried the grilled Mac & cheese and loved the crunchy cheese breading inside—really tasty. The flavor teas are a standout, and I'm excited to try more of their drink selection. Service was quick and the employees were very helpful. The Frontega chicken sandwich has quickly become a favorite, and the cheddar broccoli soup was also good. This was my first time at Panera, and it lived up to the hype. The cashier was knowledgeable and helped guide our choices, making the experience even better. It's definitely a clean and inviting spot for a lightish meal. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu.

Our visit to IHOP for breakfast in Tyler was a great start to the day. Our waitress brought so much fun and energy to our table, which we absolutely loved. From beginning to end, the service was top-notch. We kicked things off with some good coffee that hit the spot. I ordered the breakfast bowl, which was fresh and generously portioned, and it came with pancakes too—delicious! My coworker got an omelette that was impressively large and looked fantastic. We're all set to tackle the day after such a tasty meal. While I didn't care for the waitress rushing us a bit to order, it didn't overshadow the amazing food. I absolutely love IHOP. Every year we make it to the States, and visiting IHOP is part of our daily routine. There's nothing like it.

I can't rave enough about the fantastic breakfast experience I had at Country Kitchen Restaurant! The morning started on a high note with the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Ms. Lisa and her incredible team. It set the stage for what turned out to be a memorable meal full of delicious surprises. My wife ordered the waffle with two eggs and bacon, and I couldn't resist trying the waffle myself. It was outstanding! Both of us noticed a subtle hint of vanilla in the batter, which made it fluffy and irresistibly delicious. The bacon was perfectly cooked, less fatty than what you'd find at other places, and added just the right amount of flavor to the meal. After some indecision between breakfast and dinner options, I settled on the Aztec Quesadilla Burger, skipping the four-cheese mix. The burger had a genuine beef taste, and the combination of salsa and sour cream elevated the dish. Next time, I'll add jalapenos for that extra kick. The fries on the side were crunchy and tasty, making for another solid meal choice. Watching a slice of pie a la mode pass by nearly made me drool, but after the generous portions, I was too full to indulge. Still, I found room for a couple of bites of my wife's waffle. Although we opted out of dessert this time, we'll be sure to try it next visit. Overall, if you're looking for a hearty, satisfying meal in a relaxed setting with excellent service, Country Kitchen Restaurant is a must-visit. The staff is attentive and friendly, and while the cheese curds appetizer was good (not amazing), the “best in town pancakes” definitely live up to their name, surpassing even IHOP's version. The drinks, like tea and strawberry lemonade, were refreshing and delightful. Even though some dishes like the chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak were not the standout favorites, the mashed potatoes compensated with their fresh flavor. The meal was reasonably priced considering today's economy, and I'm already planning my next visit. Country Kitchen Restaurant has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation!

I had a great time at la Madeleine for breakfast! My friend and I were really impressed with how delicious and beautifully plated the food was. The French pastries in the front case were tempting, and I couldn't resist trying the lemon blueberry Danish—it was amazing! The flaky, crispy outside and soft, fluffy inside were perfect. The crepes were delicious too. I've also tried their delivery and had the pesto pasta with chicken. It was to die for! I appreciate that they sell jams and spices. The free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and comfortable seating made it easy to work on some stuff. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, and the friendly staff made me feel welcome. There's a convenient fountain drink area with all the standard coffee, tea, and condiments like honey, ketchup, Tabasco sauce, jelly, and butter. The food leaves you comfortably full without feeling stuffed. The building is on the first floor, wheelchair accessible, and there's plenty of parking. Plus, there's a private area for large parties. I love that I can try something new every day and it's always great. And I can't forget to mention the coffee! The atmosphere is welcoming and not too loud, making it the perfect spot for brunch or getting some work done. I'm definitely making this my regular spot!
