First time here, and calling it a hidden gem is an understatement. With only eight tables, I felt like I’d been missing out for too long! The Monte Cristo sandwich was excellent, and the coleslaw with dill was a flavorful surprise—I’d come back just for it. The kielbasa omelette was like a pie, and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The bread was the best we’ve had. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. The service was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be back! If you haven’t been, you need to check this place out. The Chocolate Gallery Cafe was on my list for a while, and I finally got the chance to visit with some relatives. Everyone loved their meals. I had the kielbasa and cheddar omelette, which was bigger and better than I expected, along with delicious home fries. They also offer a variety of specials besides the regular menu. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the wonderful experience. Highly recommend this spot!

I've been to Theo's Family Restaurant several times, probably around 6 or 7, and every visit has been fantastic. The food is consistently great, and the service is good. But today was special because I took my girl out for breakfast and had the best waitress I've ever had. Zoe was her name, and she made the atmosphere so welcoming. If I could, I would want her as my waitress every time. She totally made our day. Thank you so much, Zoe! The prices are low, which reflects the medium portions, but the food quality is excellent, especially the coleslaw. It's one of my favorite places to eat, with great food and staff. Everything is always top-notch, and it's a fantastic restaurant. I hadn't been here in years and had forgotten how nice it is. It's family-owned, and I would rank it as the #2 restaurant in Warren. The prices are reasonable, with my husband enjoying a 12 oz. steak for just $16. Plus, they even offer seniors a 10% discount. We had the cutest waitress named Zoe and we will definitely be back soon.
Lori's Cafe

This little diner/cafe truly warms my heart. Stepping inside felt like revisiting a cherished memory from better times. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like an old family friend, and my visit—just 45 minutes before closing—completely made my week. I'm definitely coming back, and often. Lori's Cafe is a charming, family-owned place with a cozy atmosphere. It seats about 55 people, and you can immediately tell it's an old-school cafe. I ordered the Country Skillet, and the portions were generous. The staff were incredibly courteous and friendly. My waitress, Dawn, was especially attentive and friendly, constantly checking in and having a nice chat with me. While the food is generally decent, I found the eggs to be particularly enjoyable. The hash browns and pancakes were alright, but the standout for me was the delicious butter. Whether you're in for a quick bite or a big meal, the food is fantastic no matter what you order! Plus, the staff truly make you feel like part of the family. Highly recommend stopping by Lori's Cafe!

This place was a nice surprise. I got my breakfast just the way I ordered it, at a fair price, and the service was perfect! I had the fried egg sandwich, and my husband had the standard breakfast. The hash browns were cooked to perfection. This place is a real hidden gem. The food was great—I suggest the chicken salad. The burgers and sandwiches are really good as well. Bon-appetite 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌. This spot proves the adage "don't judge a book by its cover." The building's exterior is a bit rough, but inside, it's a bright, clean, well-lit diner. The food is fresh and excellent, and the waitstaff is awesome. Jenny, who waited on us, is the nicest person in the world. The food was made super fast, making it a great choice for lunch. I highly recommend this diamond in the rough. It was my first time here, and this place is a gem. The chicken pita tasted excellent, and the ranch wasn’t thick, just the way I like it. The staff was super attentive and friendly. There are lots of regulars, which is always a good sign. I’m definitely coming back for breakfast soon!
12th Street Grill

During my road trip through Minneapolis, I decided to stop by 12th Street Grill for breakfast, and I’m so glad I did! Despite a bit of a wait, it was absolutely worth it. The food was amazing and left a lasting impression on me. If I ever find myself back in the area, this is definitely where I'll have breakfast again. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. I had the Cajun Chicken wrap from the Tuesday special, which came with a cup of soup. The wrap was perfectly balanced—not too saucy or salty—and the soup complemented it well. I also loved the warm atmosphere and the friendly, courteous servers. The prices are reasonable, making it feel like a little gem of a hometown diner. You can expect friendly faces, great service, and tasty food in a cozy environment. I highly recommend trying their breakfast specials, like the stuffed French toast, Nutella pancakes, and their very good omelettes! Make sure to get a hot cocoa, too. This place truly knows how to deliver a fantastic breakfast experience.

I absolutely love Dan's Diner for breakfast in Warren. The service is fantastic, with the staff always being super friendly and kind. The food is simply amazing, especially the BBQ chicken bacon ranch wrap which is my personal favorite. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, which is a big plus. The environment feels very welcoming and homey, even though it can get a bit loud due to the high ceilings. Despite that, the place is cozy and clean. My family and I have been coming here for years, and it's always a pleasure as the waitstaff treats us like family. It's hard to find such consistent quality and service these days, and that's why I highly recommend Dan's Diner. It's truly our neighborhood gem!
Ryan Grill/ Coney Island
4007 E 11 Mile Rd, Warren

Dinora Thomas
I visited Ryan Grill/Coney Island for breakfast, and I can say that the experience was quite enjoyable. I ordered the Polish omelette with cheddar instead of Swiss, and it was excellent. It’s definitely a dish I’ll be returning for. Although I’m not fond of the hash browns—they need more flavor and should be browned rather than resembling boiled potatoes—I’m considering substituting them for something else next time. The side of biscuits and gravy was a bit of a surprise since the biscuits were served separately, but they still tasted good. While I wouldn’t go out of my way just for the biscuits, the overall food quality aligns with typical Coney Island eats. What makes this place special, though, is the service. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. My son adores them, and they always make him feel at home. It’s a cozy place with a very homey atmosphere. Despite a few minor issues, I feel drawn to return because of the warmth and friendliness of the staff. It's a great spot for breakfast if you value excellent service and a friendly environment.
Antonio's Coney Island Restaurant

Marycarmen Ballesteros
Antonio's Coney Island Restaurant in Warren is my go-to spot for breakfast when I want a break from cooking at home. The food is consistently good and offered at reasonable prices, making it a solid diner experience. Having lived in the area, I've been enjoying meals here since childhood, and it remains a favorite. Each visit only reaffirms my love for this place. Although I thought the chocolate chips would be inside the waffles rather than on top, making them a bit too sweet for my taste, the sausage and eggs were delicious, with the toast being the standout of the meal. Our server, Gerry, was wonderful—hard-working and pleasant. The portions are generous, the prices fair, and the food tasty. It was my first visit, but I'll definitely be back.
COUNTRY OVEN

I have to say, this family diner is one of the most amazing places I've ever eaten at. The food portions are huge, and the prices are surprisingly low for the quality they offer. From the moment you walk in, you're treated like family. The service is so attentive that I've never even had to ask for a refill; they’re always there topping off my drink or coffee. Lisa, the owner, has created an incredible diner that I’ll be visiting again and again. I've tried the liver and onions, which was a 5/5, and the Breakfast Special was also a 5/5. The fish and chips with mac and cheese substitution was fantastic, and I can't wait to try more dishes. Hands down, they serve one of the best steak and eggs I've ever had. I was amazed at how perfectly they cooked the steak to medium-rare! If you're a fan of liver and onions, I highly recommend giving this place a try; you’ll keep coming back! I've been coming here for years, and the food, selections, prices, and friendly staff never disappoint. The owners are hands-on, which is impressive and adds to the high level of service. While prices have gone up slightly, they’re still reasonable. Sometimes it might take a little longer for food, especially during busy times, but the staff does their best to serve everyone quickly with great service. Ask for Anna during the morning shift for a great experience. They've added some new items to the menu, which is always exciting. You won’t be disappointed. In my opinion, they’re much better than Theo's. I had dinner on a busy Friday evening, and although there was a little wait, the line moved quickly, thanks to their speedy service. I had the fish, mac n cheese, and clam chowder, while my wife had the fish n chips with salad. Everything was tasty. I do think the salad could be improved with more toppings beyond just lettuce and a tomato slice. Overall, give them a try—we'll definitely be back.
Cozy Grill Cafe

Cozy Grill Cafe is a sweet little diner that I've probably been passing by on my way to work for years. I finally stopped in, and I'm so glad I did. It's important to note that they close at 3 pm, so I usually go for breakfast, but they offer a full menu of options. The waitresses are super friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely love their omelets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and their potato cakes. It's definitely my favorite breakfast spot. The food always tastes delicious and feels like home, with great prices and the best service. There was one instance on a Monday morning when I had a less-than-stellar experience with a carry-out order. The bacon felt overly cooked, like beef jerky, possibly pre-cooked. The sausages had an odd texture, and the toast seemed stale. It was a bit disappointing given that I had never had any problems with them before, especially since I was expecting a fresh $10 breakfast. During our first visit to the restaurant, the server was very accommodating and friendly, though I didn't catch her name. The pancakes were truly delicious, and despite the one off experience, I will definitely be visiting again.

Louie's Ham & Corn Beef is a great spot for breakfast. The patty melt and onion rings were delicious, showcasing their knack for well-cooked, satisfying meals. I also tried their ham and bean soup, which was packed with chunks of ham and carrots and hearty enough to fill you up before the main dish. The fish and chips were excellent, offering great size portions that leave you full and happy. The service was friendly and efficient, making the overall experience very enjoyable. It's a reliable place for good home-cooked food.

What an amazing experience at Southside Grill for breakfast in Warren! The restaurant was spotless, and the service was top-notch. The food arrived piping hot and fresh, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. I ordered the western omelette with potatoes and onions, and it was delicious. This charming family diner is perfect for a quick bite. The portions are generous, and the food comes out fast and hot, which I love. I also tried the fish and chips; the crispy batter was just right—not heavy at all. Their homemade chicken noodle soup was a highlight, and my friend enjoyed the corned beef sandwich with vegetable soup. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere welcoming. The bacon burger with a hefty portion of fries was delicious and filling, and the Greek salad was fresh and tasty. The chicken tenders were better than what you’d find at other nearby places. Even though the gyro wasn't authentic from skewers, I’m still eager to return for more of their great offerings. It's a fantastic spot for the whole family to enjoy a meal together.

Cozy Cabin is a charming spot for breakfast in Warren. The place has a cozy atmosphere with lots of specials to choose from. Our waitress, Tia, was really sweet and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out quickly and was delicious, which was a pleasant surprise. While we faced a few hiccups with our meal, like the omelet scramble that lacked flavor and the gravy that wasn't to my taste, the overall experience was enjoyable. The staff seemed to have a good rapport with regulars, adding a nice, familiar touch to the place. Despite some inconsistencies, Cozy Cabin has potential and offers a welcoming experience.
Warren Family Coney Island

Warren Family Coney Island has quickly become my go-to spot for breakfast. The employees are amazing and always make my visits enjoyable. The food is consistently top-notch in both quality and quantity, and they never get my order wrong, which makes me come back 2-3 times a week. It's worth passing by a dozen other places just to eat here. I absolutely love their waffle fries and the lamb gyro – both are outstanding. They also serve Dearborn Ham, which is a big plus in my book. The place is clean, bright, and quiet, with a perfect radio volume that isn’t distracting. Their menu may not be the biggest, but it has plenty to offer, and you can't beat $0.99 coneys on Tuesdays. The service is fantastic. There's a soft-spoken young woman who handles to-go orders, dine-in customers, and the register effortlessly while staying upbeat and professional. During my quick visits, my orders are always spot on. The coneys are exactly what I need – the dogs have a great chew, the onions add a nice kick, and the buns are perfectly warm and soft. I was in and out in under 30 minutes, and I can't wait to return. Everything I’ve tried, from the delicious shrimp to the cheese sticks and burgers, has been superb. The fried shrimp is especially worth recommending; it’s hot, fresh, crispy, and the best I’ve had in a while. Portions are generous, and everything is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving a great meal.
Red Olive Restaurant - Warren

I visited Red Olive Restaurant in Warren for breakfast and had a great experience. It's a family-friendly place with good service and good food. The restaurant is clean, and there's plenty of seating, making it easy to find a spot even during busy hours. The staff is pleasant, friendly, and attentive, which adds to the positive atmosphere. This was my second visit, and it certainly won't be my last. One of the highlights for me was the fresh bread in a basket with ample amounts of butter. The Rosa Marina soup was fresh, and the rice pilaf was fluffy. Their house tomato sauce is something I look forward to every time I come here, as I enjoy trying different combinations for dinner. The servers are always friendly, which makes dining here an easy choice. I even joked about how my taste buds enjoy coming back, and I bet yours will too. I arrived around 1 p.m., and though the restaurant was half full, the servers were efficient and quick. My menu and a glass of ice water arrived almost immediately. Although the spinach pie and small Greek salad I ordered had some room for improvement, with the pie being a bit plain, they were still satisfying overall. The restaurant has a typical, generic look, but it’s the consistent service and good food that keep bringing me back. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a meal with family or friends.
Morning Star Restaurant

Bobby Gomez
I love Morning Star Restaurant for breakfast. It's a solid diner that opens early on weekdays, which is perfect for my schedule. They consistently serve up a good meal at a great price, and the staff and patrons are always friendly. Every time I visit, I feel like a regular, even though I’m there only once a week at most. The waitress usually knows my order before I even say it, which adds a nice personal touch. The food is satisfying, with dishes like biscuits and gravy and eggs done just right. The prices are fair, and it’s refreshing to find a place where four adults can eat for less than $50 these days. The service is generally good, and even when it's busy, the staff manages to keep things running smoothly. Overall, Morning Star is a dependable spot for breakfast. It's not fancy, but it delivers what you'd expect from a local diner: good food, fair prices, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I discovered Sunrise Coney Island on DoorDash and was impressed with my breakfast experience. I requested a customization, and not only did they accommodate, but they exceeded my expectations compared to most other Coneys. I placed my order on a Sunday morning and it was prepared quickly, which was fantastic. I’m definitely stopping by the next time I’m in the area for their speedy service and delicious food. The sunrise skillet with extra cheese has become my go-to choice on my day off when I'm craving breakfast. The grilled chicken pita and coney dogs are absolutely top-notch and never disappoint. Their Coney dogs are excellent, and the French fries are spectacular. I’m looking forward to trying the chili cheese fries next time because I think they would be amazing. The service was great and the food came out quickly, even though it wasn't very busy. Overall, Sunrise Coney Island is a really good spot that I definitely recommend.
Kerby's Koney Island

I had a fantastic breakfast experience at Kerby's Koney Island in Warren. The waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. The salad I ordered was amazing - a unique twist on the Greek salad with dill and their creamy Kerby dressing that was simply outstanding. While the gentleman who cashed me out could've been a bit more pleasant, I got the feeling it was just his natural expression. The dinner meal special was tasty and offered great value. The atmosphere during dinner time is warm and cozy, making it a place I’d love to dine at again. A highlight not to miss is Kirby's Koney dogs. They have that perfect snap, with onions and sauce that have become local favorites, saving you a trip to Lafayette. Whether you use the drive-thru or dine inside, the service is always fast and exceptional. Meeting the owner Ahmad and his daughters was a delight; they’re some of the kindest and most respectful people. The food and service were awesome, making our Christmas party truly memorable. Thank you so much, Kerby's Koney Island!
Nicky D's

Claxton J Lauzun
I’ve been going to Nicky D's for breakfast in Warren and it’s always a treat. The food is consistently great, especially the grilled chicken salad. I managed to fill two pitas and still had more than enough left for a salad, which is impressive for the price. The omelets are fantastic—definitely something to come back for time and again. The customer service stands out as well. The staff is polite and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I wish I'd caught the name of the woman who took our order because she was not only polite but also had such a positive energy. One thing to know is that the place has changed a bit. You order, get your food, and either stay with it in the bag or take it to go since there isn’t traditional table service. It’s straightforward and efficient, which I don’t mind at all. While they keep things simple, the food and service quality make every visit satisfying. I'll definitely keep coming back.
