Had a fantastic brunch at Finn's Cafe! The food was delicious, offering fresh flavors and a wide range of options. Our dog was welcomed with open arms, making the dog-friendly atmosphere a real highlight. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and inviting experience. The Scandinavian Breakfast was a standout, with Idaho poached red trout, perfectly cooked over easy eggs, and a delightful house tartar sauce. The toasted sourdough bread added a nice crunch, especially with the accompanying raspberry preserves. The Marzipan cake was a rich treat, perfectly complemented by the strawberries and whipped cream. My wife loved her egg white omelette, though the French toast could have used a sprinkle of powdered sugar. The patio was a pleasant spot to enjoy our meal, and the service was attentive despite the busy brunch crowd. Finn's Cafe is easily our favorite weekend breakfast spot, especially for their amazing eggs Benedict and awesome coffee. The food at Roots Cafe blew us away for breakfast in West Valley City! We had an espresso and chai tea, along with the pancake of the day, which was strawberry orange with real maple syrup. It was all fantastic! I also tried the tuna melt with navy bean ham soup, and everything was spot on. We sat on the cozy patio, and our server was attentive and got everything right. I can't get over how delicious the pancake was—I was genuinely sad when I got down to the last bite! Wishing I’d been coming here all summer. It's definitely my new favorite spot! We come for breakfast every week, and everything on the menu is amazing. They have a rotating pancake of the day, which is always a fun surprise. Every single staff member is incredibly kind, and Cody, who is always our server, is the best. The food comes out fast, fresh, and perfect every time. I cannot recommend Roots enough! We had a delightful breakfast experience. There was no wait to be seated, and I had the Roots of Your Day with sausage, scrambled eggs, and a pancake, with an added side of bacon. The portions are generous, and everything was excellent. The pancake overflows the plate but is light and fluffy, and the sausage, made on-site, has a flavorful blend of spices. My wife tried the eggs benedict and said it’s the best she’s ever had. It's on the pricier side, but with unique offerings that taste great, it's well worth it! Just a note, they don’t split checks for parties of six or more.

I've been coming to Ogie's Cafe for years, and it never disappoints. Even after moving to Lake Havasu, I couldn't resist stopping by when visiting Utah. Driving by, I immediately turned around just to have breakfast here. It reminded me why I love this place. Sure, trends and times change, but Ogie's remains solid with its no-frills, tasty food, and fantastic portions. On my latest visit, the place was buzzing on a Sunday morning, and while we were told there'd be a 20-minute wait, it turned out to be just 5, which was a nice surprise. The staff, full of energy, kept our coffee cups topped up until we flipped our mugs over to signal a pause. My daughter enjoyed her giant pancake with egg and sausage, while I tackled the massive burrito special. Seriously, it's enough for two, so I ended up taking half of it home. Ogie’s has held steady all these years with its large portions at a fair price. It's always busy, but you never have to wait too long. If you're short on time, you can always go for takeout. The breakfast burrito is a classic—it’s amazing and huge! This is the kind of place that feels like an old friend, always ready to serve a hearty meal.

I've got to say, La Casa Del Tamal in West Valley City has quickly become my go-to spot for Mexican food. The dining experience was delightful, with dishes beautifully presented and packed with flavor. I tried the Pambazo, which was tasty, though it had a bit more kick than I usually go for. My family also loved their dishes, particularly the Molcajete, which is a must-try. It's hard not to order it every time—the combination of meat, chile, cheese, and marinade sauce is simply incredible. The Tacos de Birria con Consome were also top-notch, ranking in my top favorites. The service really impressed me, too. We were seated immediately, and our server, Maria, was attentive and friendly. The food arrived quickly, which was perfect. The atmosphere at La Casa Del Tamal is lively and inviting, capturing the essence of Mexican culture. It's always a pleasure to be in such a welcoming environment among cheerful patrons. One minor note would be the limited options on the kids' menu, but the quality of the dishes makes up for it. The Aguas Frescas tasted fresh, which was a pleasant surprise, and I'm convinced they're made in-house. While there was a slight mix-up with drinks once, the staff handled it well, and it didn't affect the overall experience. Every time I visit, I feel right at home, thanks to the fantastic team, including Emily and Chris, who contribute to the restaurant's success. From enchiladas to flautas and tres leches cake, everything we tried was delicious. This place is always busy, and it's easy to see why. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or on a date, you'll have a memorable meal. La Casa Del Tamal is definitely a favorite of mine in the Salt Lake area, offering authentic, non-Americanized Mexican food served by genuinely friendly staff. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

All my husband wanted for his birthday was a good Eggs Benedict, and Penny Ann's Cafe in West Valley City didn't disappoint! He was very satisfied, and the rest of us were just as happy with our choices. If you're looking for a good breakfast or lunch spot, this is it! It was our first time here, and it was great! A couple of things could make this a 5-star experience: I'd love to see the Eggs Benedict served on an English muffin instead of a croissant, and an omelette made with real eggs rather than a substitute would be a nice touch. Also, the men's bathroom could use a new air blade dryer, as the current one is old and rusty. Despite that, the food was super good. They're famous for their hot cakes, but I think their French toast might be even better! The hot cocoa was also a hit, and our waitress was super nice. Just be prepared for a long wait time on Saturdays, but you can call ahead to get on the waitlist. Overall, we had a great experience at Penny Ann's Cafe!

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a rich coffee aroma and super friendly staff. Whether I'm grabbing a coffee to go or relaxing in their cozy atmosphere, it's always a delightful experience. They have a fantastic selection of baked goods that perfectly complement their brews. Plus, their breakfast sandwiches and pastries are top-notch. I love that they even have a free book cart where I've found some great reads and donated a few myself. It’s the perfect place to meet friends or family and enjoy great drinks and food. Beans & Brews is definitely my go-to for the best coffee in Utah—service is always prompt and kind.

It's a bit of a hidden gem, tucked away in a strip mall, but there's plenty of parking and seating. The staff here are genuinely friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. A very nice server handed me a menu right away, quickly brought my drink, and took my order. It seems like George, the owner, has named just about everything on the menu after himself, which is pretty amusing. My food arrived quickly, accompanied by a little rack of hot sauces and jelly. The portions were generous, the food was hot and tasty, and I had nothing to complain about with my George's burger breakfast. The prices are fair for the amount you get, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The casual and open dining area gave off a club-like vibe, making it a cozy spot to enjoy a meal. The food was delicious, and the portions were so large I had to take half of it home. We tried the trucker skillet and the country fried steak, both of which were fantastic. The waitress was super friendly, even letting us sample the gravy before we ordered. Service was timely and attentive, adding to the great experience. If you're on the lookout for those hidden gems, Mom's is a must-visit. The food hits the spot and brings back memories of those classic diners that are the heart of local communities. I'll definitely be returning to try more of George’s menu.

Overall, Jim's is a great spot for breakfast, and I highly recommend it.

Walking into Midvale Mining Cafe & Catering, the scent of fries immediately hit me, sparking a craving I couldn't ignore. I ended up ordering some, and they were a meal in themselves—huge, crispy shoestring potatoes that came in a giant portion. Along with the fries, I enjoyed the best chef salad I've had in a while. The salad was loaded with fresh, crisp lettuce, sliced cheese, ham, turkey, vegetables, and a generous helping of blue cheese. The meal was more than enough, especially since it also came with one of their famous scones, which is impossible to pass up. I managed to eat half of everything and saved the rest for lunch the next day. The food was good, with impressive portions, though it all seemed under-seasoned except for the steak. Once I added my own salt and pepper, I was satisfied. The atmosphere was full of old diner charm, with friendly waitresses adding to the experience. I ordered the 8 oz steak with breakfast, and the hash browns were fantastic. While the overall service was decent, there were a few hiccups with how meals were served, as some soup was spilled when it was placed on our table. In general, Midvale Mining Cafe & Catering is a solid choice for breakfast with great food and a nostalgic vibe. I definitely recommend stopping by, just be prepared to season the food to your taste. I'll be back when I'm in the area, with a bit of a different expectation.

Our server, Destiny, was fantastic—attentive and friendly, even though I mostly stuck to drinking water after not finishing my Pina Verde, which was a bit too sour for my taste. But Destiny's excellent service made up for it. The menu is diverse, and though I found the brown butter cake with strawberry syrup oddly reminiscent of Captain Crunch, it was enjoyable because I like that cereal. The French dip was flavorful, albeit a little salty. There's plenty of space and TVs, making it perfect for catching a game without the need to raise your voice in conversation. I also tried the El Cuban and the Cheesesteak sandwiches, both of which were delicious. The fries were a nice complement, and it was a refreshing change from the usual burger options. Parking was a bit challenging on a Saturday night, but the overall atmosphere, friendly staff, and vast drink menu made the visit worthwhile. With bingo at noon on Saturdays and karaoke at night, there's always something fun to do. Despite a small hiccup with service towards the end, the food and the overall experience were good enough to make me want to give it another shot in the future.

On this visit, I had a late lunch consisting of a hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and okra, plus a fried pickles appetizer. The fried pickles were tasty, but the rest of the meal was just average. The service was decent, but nothing exceptional. The atmosphere is interesting, although it can get a bit repetitive if you visit often. Still, I love the idea of walking through the gift shop to pay the bill; it reminds me of the fun ending to a ride at Disneyland. Despite some minor hiccups, like the restaurant being a bit cold, I found the sales cashiers helpful, especially Chris. Our server, Skyler, did an excellent job as well. The diner feels more on par with IHOP, definitely better than Denny's in my opinion. Service is generally quick, which is a relief when you have hungry kids waiting. I did notice that the air conditioning can be a bit too high, as our food cooled off pretty fast. I tried dinner here once, but honestly, breakfast is where they shine.
