I can't get enough of their biscuits and gravy; it's the best I've ever had, and I've eaten enough to know! The French toast is loaded with cinnamon, the bacon is perfectly crispy, and both the scrambled and over-medium eggs are cooked to perfection. I started one of my mornings with a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on a bun, which was nearly perfect. I couldn't resist grabbing lunch to go as well, with the country-style steak, mashed potatoes, and greens, which were outstanding. My wife enjoyed her chicken teriyaki tips with rice, gravy, and greens too. It's great that they offer a good selection of breakfast classics, and I appreciate their daily specials. I prefer sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes, and theirs are always fresh and delicious. Plus, they make their own country gravy which is a delightful touch. Great food and great people. As we walked in, we were greeted by all of the staff. They were patient with my two-year-old nephew who wanted to explore. The facility is super clean and welcoming. The Texas Farmhouse Omelette is AMAZING. They have great portions for the price. I definitely will be returning! Winston-Salem has a brand new breakfast place that needs to be tried—Eggs Up Grill. This place has a fun atmosphere; it’s open, airy, and light, not dark at all. It was their first day of service, and the staff was courteous, often holding the door open for incoming and outgoing customers. I had my meal at the dining room bar, which allowed me to watch the action behind the counter. Even on their first day, the staff showed high levels of competency. The kitchen staff managed to get food out hot and correct, and during my 45-minute stay at the bar, I didn’t notice a single plate coming back. My meal consisted of four scrambled eggs and a pancake. The eggs were cooked perfectly—not overdone nor underdone—and had a buttery and fluffy texture. The pancake was golden brown, light, and a little crispy on the edges. It didn’t soak up the syrup but wasn’t dense either. I’d recommend giving their darker roast coffee a try; it was excellent. The service was impressive, considering it was their first day. The teamwork, both in the kitchen and on the floor, showed the dedication of the staff. I didn’t want for anything—whether it was coffee, water, or napkins. Instead of the usual frozen fare, they served a lovely pile of hand shredded potatoes, fried crispy and perfectly seasoned. Even the kitchen, visible from our table, was impressively clean for a place in the middle of a rush, which speaks volumes about the staff and cooks. Brunch is my favorite meal, and Miam is now my top choice. Three of us went today, and our meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Albert, the owner, was kind and accommodating, and the wait staff was professional and courteous. Back to the food: I had the spinach salad with grilled chicken, which was done perfectly and was so yummy. My friends had the red, white, and blue pancakes and French toast. They were loaded with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas, as pretty as they were delicious. They even offer non-dairy milk like oat milk. The place is adorable, and I can't wait to go back! While it may cost a bit, it’s worth it for special occasions. The drinks are great – the mimosas are a must-try! The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always top-notch. The restaurant has a nice, cozy vibe, though it might not be as grand as some pictures suggest. Parking and seating can be limited, but we always manage to get in. The waiting area with the live pianist is a fantastic touch. I adore the gluten-free options, and the chicken and waffles with hot honey sauce were a revelation for me. Next time we visit, we're planning to book a room at the inn since breakfast is part of the stay. The inn is super cute, and I love the historic feel of the restaurant.
