July 12, 2024 I stopped by LeGrand Coffee House in Woodbridge for a much-needed coffee break, and it was exactly what I needed. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, with a simple and modern décor that makes it easy to unwind. The music is soft and adds to the calming vibe. It’s a place where people seem comfortably absorbed in their tasks, which somehow contributes to the relaxing environment. Their menu is straightforward, offering a variety of options at reasonable prices. I went for a 12oz. Americano, intrigued by the explanation that it's made with a watered-down espresso shot. It was a refreshing change, and I really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made my experience even more pleasant. I loved that they offer almond milk, a great win for those of us who prefer plant-based options. It's always a plus to find coffee shops that accommodate different dietary preferences. Although I only tried the coffee this time, the presence of raw brown sugar on the counter was a nice touch, and I'm hopeful about trying their baked goods in the future. I've heard they have bagels, so maybe there are some whole wheat options waiting for me to discover. Despite a small hiccup with the coffee order – it took 25 minutes, and they missed my basic black coffee at first – the young lady behind the counter apologized, and the rest of the experience was smooth. It was a fantastic visit, and I definitely plan to return. I might even make this a regular stop in my routine. Can't wait to see what else LeGrand Coffee House has to offer!

Surrender Cafe in Woodbridge has become my go-to spot for breakfast, and I highly recommend it if you're into authentic Puerto Rican food. The canoa rellena was my standout favorite, and everyone agreed that the alcapurria de yucca is a must-try. It's packed full of flavor and definitely worth getting again. The pernil asado with arroz con gandules and platano amarillo was delicious. It's an authentic dish from Puerto Rico, and I wanted to try it to see if it captured that island flavor—and it absolutely did. The mofongo carne guisada was also quite good, with the sauce perfectly balancing the dish. While the mofongo churrasco and carne frita with tostones weren’t my favorites due to their dryness, the overall experience was still impressive. Surrender Cafe truly manages to bring the taste of the island to the plate, which isn’t easy to find. The Jibarito Sliders were awesome as well, and the friendly service added to the welcoming atmosphere. I drive in from Staten Island for this place, and it's become a weekly ritual. The flavors are authentic, reminiscent of my abuelita's cooking, and the carne guisada is never too fatty. The quick service with thoughtfully crafted flavors keeps me coming back. Plus, those platano chips are the perfect start to a meal. Surrender Cafe is easily one of my top ten favorite places to eat!

La Bon Bake Shoppes in Woodbridge has become my go-to bakery after my amazing experiences with them. We chose them for our wedding cake, and they were fantastic from start to finish. They catered to my husband's severe dairy allergy by creating a delicious vegan cake, which was a huge relief for us. The cake tasting was thorough, and we had a blast sampling the different flavors. In the end, we went with a 12" Galaxy-themed cake with vanilla-flavored whipped cream filling, which was perfect for our 35 guests. The texture was soft, the sweetness was just right, and the presentation was stunning—all for a reasonable price of $94. The staff at La Bon Bake Shoppes were always pleasant and professional, both in person and over the phone. I’ve also ordered a cake for my son’s 1/2 birthday, and they nailed it again with exactly what I wanted at a great price. The entire process—from ordering to execution—was seamless due to their exceptional customer service. Everyone at our events was super impressed with how the cakes looked and tasted. Although the shop might benefit from a little makeover, their service and quality more than make up for it. I wholeheartedly recommend La Bon Bake Shoppes for any occasion, and I’ll definitely be ordering from them for all our future cake needs. Thank you, La Bon!

Kona Grill in Woodbridge has become one of my favorite spots for breakfast and happy hour with my son. We love going there after school to play games and enjoy the music. The waitstaff is consistently friendly and professional, ensuring we have a great time every visit. We had a slight hiccup with our order once, but the manager quickly resolved it, and we left satisfied. My husband and I, since moving from Boston, have found the food to be fantastic and the service fast and attentive. It surprises me that it's not busier, given how excellent the experience always is. The menu at Kona Grill is full of delicious choices, and the food is cooked to perfection. My favorite dish has to be the Big Island Ribeye; it's flavorsome and just right. We also love the Seared Sea Bass Sliders and Picasso Rolls. The drinks, like the Watermelon Margarita, are also a hit for us. The highlight for us is definitely the service. Our waitress, Brittany, was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations to enhance our dining experience. She ensured that our cocktails were always topped up and that we had everything we needed. I highly recommend requesting her when you visit. Overall, Kona Grill is a fantastic spot for tasty food and wonderful service, and I'll definitely be returning!

Breakfast at Chick-fil-A in Woodbridge was a great start to my day. Despite the line being a bit slow initially, the food was definitely worth the wait. The home fries were delicious, and the biscuit was full of flavor, making it a memorable experience for my first visit. The staff was incredibly kind and the service, once we ordered, was fast. I usually get my order to go, and I’ve never spent more than five minutes inside. The food is consistently great, which is why I keep coming back. Overall, Chick-fil-A in Woodbridge made our family’s breakfast enjoyable, especially after a long drive.

Jose Tejas in Woodbridge for breakfast is a true gem for anyone who loves Mexican cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious and presented beautifully, and the interior decor adds to the whole experience. It's a busy spot, so parking can be tricky during peak hours, but it's well worth it. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the vibrant ambiance. One of my favorite parts was the complimentary salsa and chips. The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa had an amazing garlicky kick. I tried the pulled beef cheesy quesadilla, and it was incredible. The carne asada with fries and its accompanying sauce was a standout dish, and I can't recommend it enough. It was too good, and I dove right in without snapping a picture! The service was fantastic, with Leigh, our waitress, making sure we were well taken care of. She was welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. The margaritas were perfectly balanced and genuinely the best I've had in town. Even though they've had to cut down the menu since the pandemic, they still have all the popular items. I'm hoping for the return of the cornbread and blackened swordfish, but there's still plenty to enjoy. The blackened chicken and gumbo were delicious, and my family loved the chicken tacos, empanadas, and veggie fajitas. The vibe here is awesome, and it's a place I can see myself returning to again and again. For over 25 years, it's been a favorite, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Cafe On Main is a great spot for breakfast in Woodbridge. Despite what some reviews say about photos being misleading, my experience with their food has been nothing short of pleasant. I ordered through GrubHub, and the two-egg sandwich with meat was perfect. The food was very fresh, and the prices were quite reasonable. Even though I haven't visited the location in person, the quality of the food speaks for itself. There's a great selection, including both ready-made hot entrees and cook-to-order options. The salad bar is fantastic, and the staff is very nice. I'll definitely be ordering from here again.

I had a fantastic breakfast experience at Sweetberry Bowls in Woodbridge, all thanks to Cheyenne. Her friendly demeanor and helpful suggestions truly made my visit special. She created my bowl with great care and attention to detail. The service was impressively fast, and the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Despite having low expectations due to some negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean, the staff is welcoming, and the variety of food options is impressive. The smoothies are delicious, and the fruit in our bowls was fresh and perfectly complemented by crunchy granola. I particularly recommend the Sweet Palm Green Bowl, even though the bowls can be a bit pricey, around $13-14 each. Nonetheless, the quality and ambiance make it worthwhile. My order for two bowls came to $30, which I found reasonable considering the experience. Overall, I highly recommend giving Sweetberry Bowls a try. My visit was enjoyable, and I definitely plan to return.

IHOP in Woodbridge has become a favorite spot for my weekend brunch outings. The food is consistently great, with generous portions and tasty options that keep me coming back. I recently tried their sirloin steak, which was perfectly tender, and their loaded mashed potatoes were just as delicious. Among their pancake varieties, the Mexican tres leches really stood out—absolutely mouthwatering. The staff here is friendly and efficient, making the dining experience pleasant and welcoming. Despite being a bit crowded, especially on weekends, the atmosphere remains enjoyable and never rushed. It's clear that the service and food quality at this branch are top-notch compared to others I’ve visited. The only downside is the congestion and occasional wait times, but the exceptional food and service make it worth it. Plus, I've learned to go with the flow when minor mishaps happen, like when a plate of biscuits went tumbling due to the tight space. It was awkward in the moment but laughable looking back. One concern was finding a hair in my avocado toast, which was unfortunate, but the rest of the meal was excellent. Navigating the menu and pricing could be smoother, as sometimes the combo deals seem a bit off compared to ordering items individually. That said, my overall experience was very positive, and I plan to bring the family next time. Despite a few hiccups, this IHOP offers a delightful brunch experience.
Fresco By Haveli - Best American restaurant
145 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge
Teresa Zamarripa
Fresco By Haveli in Woodbridge has become my go-to spot for breakfast, and I can't recommend it enough. The recent renovations have really spruced up the place, making it more inviting and comfortable. While they no longer offer cigarettes or candy, and they've stopped delivering, the focus on breakfast is where they truly shine. The staff here are incredibly friendly. Raphael and the woman who works there always greet me with a smile, making each visit pleasant. I appreciate their genuine hospitality, which makes up for any minor hiccups, like not always getting my order exactly as I requested. The breakfast options are great, and my company orders from them almost every day. It's impressive that they consistently deliver for a large group without messing up the order. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious, and everything's reasonably priced. While they don't have a "breakfast special" despite what's advertised outside, the quality and speed of service make up for it. It’s also convenient that they offer a variety of items you'd typically find at a 7-11, making it a true one-stop shop. Though the deli closes at noon, the breakfast experience more than compensates for it. Despite minor menu inconsistencies, I still find myself coming back for the great value and friendly service. I highly recommend Fresco By Haveli for a satisfying breakfast experience.

I came to Reo Diner with my family to celebrate a birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual, perfect for a family outing. There's lots of seating available, which made it easy to accommodate everyone. We enjoyed the delicious comfort food, especially the Eggplant Parmigiana, which tasted like it came from a fine Italian restaurant. The pesto sauce was surprisingly amazing for a diner. The prices were reasonable, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Although the burgers were a little overcooked, they were still very flavorful. We also tried the carrot cake, which was quite good. The diner stays open late and has a large parking lot, making it very accessible. It's a modern establishment that has maintained its charm over the years, with plenty of regulars and families dining there. The booth we were seated in was spacious, and the extensive menu offered lots of healthy choices. I also tried the turkey and bacon sandwich, which was great even though the fries were a bit too well done for my liking. The roasted spring chicken from the specials menu was a bit dry, but the sides like the stuffing, chicken soup, mashed potatoes, and carrots were tasty. Overall, I had a pleasant meal and would recommend dining at Reo Diner for a satisfying and family-friendly experience.

Knot Just Bagels has been a go-to breakfast spot for me, even back at their old location. I've had a few visits to their new spot, and I'm happy to say things have improved since they first opened. On my third visit, I had the chance to chat with the owner about a small issue from before, and I appreciated their willingness to listen and address concerns. This time, I went for my favorite Asiago bagel with pork roll and cheese, and another Asiago with extra butter. Honestly, I've always thought this place was decent, but with the new location, it seems like they've had some growing pains. Initially, I was disappointed with the bagels being a bit undercooked, but I'm glad to report that they've really stepped up their game since then. Despite being busy, my order was prepared quickly, which was impressive as they're still in a "soft opening" phase. The new space is inviting and well-done, adding to the overall experience. I’m thrilled to have my local breakfast spot back and better than ever. The bagels and sandwiches are delicious and generous in portion. While I did encounter a 25-minute wait for a fresh-out-of-the-oven bagel once, it’s a trade-off I'm willing to make for the freshness. All in all, Knot Just Bagels has become a reliable spot for a tasty breakfast, and I definitely recommend giving it a try. They've bounced back wonderfully, and I look forward to my next visit. 🥯☕

I had a positive experience having breakfast at Panera Bread in Woodbridge. The self-service kiosks really help speed things along, avoiding the long waits you'll often find at diners. Price-wise, it’s comparable to a diner too, which is nice. One standout item for me is their butternut squash soup, which is consistently excellent. I tried the salad with bacon and chicken; while the bacon was more like crumbs and not the best, the rest of the salad was okay. Their orange juice is also worth mentioning—it’s really good. The space itself is cozy and spacious, even if it's not as large as the Menlo Park location. It’s always clean and well-lit, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere. The food at Panera is generally decent to good, and while it used to feel a bit pricey, it's in line with other fast dining spots now. Despite a few hiccups, like the order kiosk not notifying when the food was ready and some limited flatbread options, my interaction with Candice made the visit memorable. She helped resolve my gift card issue with patience and understanding, offering the best customer service I’ve experienced in a fast-food setting. Her assistance truly stood out and brightened my visit.

I absolutely love this Denny's! The service is always fast, and the people who work here are super friendly and helpful. The last time I visited, I picked up an order that I had placed online, which was quick and easy. I would highly recommend dining in or ordering out. The food is undeniably delicious, and my server was great and very attentive. The restaurant has kind of a dated, retro vibe, which I actually liked. Next time I'll take more pics!

Charlie's Bagel’s & Deli is my favorite breakfast spot in Woodbridge. The food is always delicious and served hot. I love getting the pork roll egg and cheese on a sesame bagel and their home fries are fantastic. The staff is super friendly and the place is always clean. Usually, I go for the grilled chicken breast with cucumbers and balsamic dressing, and their seasoning is always spot on. The service is also impressively fast. For three years, they've never disappointed me. My go-to is their whole wheat everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, capers, and cucumbers. It's always prepared just right and on time. Highly recommend this place for a dependable and tasty breakfast experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've ordered from Waka-Tay multiple times for breakfast, and overall, it's been a positive experience. The staff who take my orders over the phone are always nice, and the delivery service is incredibly fast. It's the closest spot for Peruvian food in the area, and they’re doing a commendable job with their dishes. The chicken has a great flavor, and the chaufa rice is served in a good amount. However, I must mention that in one of my more recent orders, the quality of the food wasn't up to their usual standard. The meat in the rice chaufa special was dry and seemed old, which was disappointing. Despite this, their green sauce is outstanding and adds a lot of flavor to the meal. I also noticed that the business automatically adds an 18% service fee to the bill. While I understand that many places do this, I believe customers should be informed beforehand to avoid any confusion. Despite these issues, the food is generally flavorful and carries clear influences from Chinese culinary styles in its presentation and taste. While I may not go out of my way to visit again, Waka-Tay is convenient for those in the area craving Peruvian food, especially if you're a fan of their delicious green sauce.

I visited Noches de Colombia in Woodbridge for breakfast with my husband and son, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, truly making us feel like we were dining in South America. Santiago, our waiter, was attentive and on point, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the tres leches cake, which was a standout. We even bought extras to take home! The restaurant itself is beautiful and clean, offering a wide variety of options on the menu. While I did wish the food was served a bit hotter, the drinks were fantastic, particularly the hot chocolate and cappuccino. The bakery items are perfect for a snack later on. There was a slight hiccup when we were seated far from the entrance despite having someone with a disability in our party. However, the overall food quality was consistently good. While the wait staff could be a bit more attentive with drink refills, the service was generally fine. There were moments when we felt slightly rushed, but the energetic atmosphere and delicious offerings made up for it. The live music added a special touch to our morning, and the camera guy was friendly and polite. Overall, I highly recommend Noches de Colombia for anyone looking to enjoy a vibrant breakfast with excellent Colombian cuisine. We'll definitely be back!
