TOASTY SANDWICH SHOP
132 Gavin St, Yonkers

At Toasty Sandwich Shop, breakfast is an absolute delight! The food is the standout feature, bursting with flavor and freshness. Everything I ordered was delicious, and from what I saw, others seemed to be enjoying their meals just as much. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality you get. The decor is modern and the atmosphere inside is really pleasant, making it a great spot to start your day. The staff is friendly and accommodating, which adds to the overall positive experience. The only downside is the service speed. It took over half an hour to get my to-go order for three items, but the quality of food made it worth the wait. I learned from other customers that calling ahead is a good idea if you're short on time. I ordered a Tropical Sun smoothie along with the Toasty Avocado Melt, and both were fantastic. Dining in, we also enjoyed the Toasty Supreme, Sausage Egg & Cheese, and Bacon Supreme Fries. They offer a variety of beverage options, from iced coffees and smoothies to sodas and teas. Though there's only one table for seating, there are counter seats along the perimeter. Overall, Toasty Sandwich Shop is a solid choice for anyone looking for excellent sandwiches or wraps at a reasonable price. Despite the wait, the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a place I'll definitely visit again soon. Highly recommend!
Euro Eatery & Market

Euro Eatery & Market in Yonkers is a gem for breakfast and snacks. Initially, I discovered the place through Uber Eats and became a fan of "THE VEGETARIAN" sandwich (#14), although I sometimes have to switch to the CHICKEN CUTLET, RED PEPPERS, and FRESH MOZZARELLA sandwich when they run out of eggplant. Despite this small hiccup, the food here is consistently fresh and delicious. The Ćevapi and Burek with cheese are particularly tasty, making the trip well worth it. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. It's definitely a place that the area needs, and even though it's an hour's drive for me, I gladly make the trip. I highly recommend grabbing a Turkish coffee along with some snacks and treats. Don't miss out on their Wild Oregano tea—it's a standout! Also, the qebapa is a must-try. Ordering the Kombinim is a delightful experience. Euro Eatery & Market is a fantastic spot, with delightful staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

I've been coming to Tibbett Diner for years, and it never disappoints. It's a cozy spot in Yonkers with friendly staff and great food. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the parking is a big plus. There’s a unique charm about this place, partly due to the interesting mix of people who dine here, making it great for people watching. The food always hits the spot, especially their breakfast offerings. I particularly enjoy the Irish pudding, which is a delightful treat. It’s your classic American diner with consistently good fare. The service is wonderful, and the owner is always a pleasure to chat with. Tibbett Diner holds a special place in my heart, and I always make a point to stop by when I'm in the area. Plus, their dessert selection is quite impressive. I highly recommend this diner to anyone looking for authentic, quality food in a welcoming atmosphere.

Gourmet Express in Yonkers is a fantastic spot for breakfast and more. They offer plenty of food options, all seemingly prepared fresh each day, which is a nice touch. During my first visit, I was very impressed, thanks to a recommendation from a family friend. The selection of both hot and cold food is great, and everything is well-prepared. The place is always clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I find myself eating here once a week, and it never disappoints. They have lots of healthy options, including a hot bar with rice, protein, pasta, hot vegetables, and a cold salad bar. They also make soup daily. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, sandwiches, or pizza, there’s something for everyone. Plus, they offer fresh juices, coffee, and a good selection of desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth. If you're considering catering for an event, they've got that covered too. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy a meal in Yonkers.
Savor coffee and more

Savor Coffee and More in Yonkers is a fantastic place to grab breakfast. The customer service is exceptional, with staff who are friendly, polite, and always have a radiant smile. It’s great that they’re open long hours, seven days a week, making it convenient to visit anytime. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, which is perfect for students looking to study, especially with the abundance of outlets available. The food and coffee I ordered were delivered promptly and tasted great. The coffee is some of the best I've had, and the fries were amazing. The smoothies are definitely worth a try too. While I wasn't entirely thrilled with everything—like you might find the avocado toast a bit underwhelming—the overall experience was positive. Maybe it was just my mood that day, as it was quite hot outside. However, other menu items like the chicken Caesar wrap are decent, though I would have preferred cooler chicken with the salad. Overall, Savor is a welcoming spot whether you're alone, with friends, or with family. It's a clean and diverse cafe with a nice atmosphere, and I would recommend giving it a visit.
Sazon Centroamericano

The food at Sazon Centroamericano in Yonkers was absolutely delicious. I tried the beef, grilled chicken, and shrimp with sweet bananas (maduros) and rice and beans. Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. My partner had the grilled chicken with rice and beans and mentioned how flavorful the beans were. We both agreed that this is definitely a place we want to come back to. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly. It's a simple spot, but the food is tasty and satisfying. We also enjoyed the chicken tamales for breakfast and some dessert. The only downside for me is that they only offer Lipton tea, which isn't my favorite, but that won't stop me from returning. They serve the best pupusas around with good flavors and value.
George's Diner
2369 Westchester Ave, Bronx

Fulge Rivera Arroyo
George's Diner is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The pancakes are incredibly good, and the omelette and bacon hit the spot every time. I also tried the grilled corn muffin with butter, and it was delicious. The diner is conveniently close to a subway station, which makes getting there a breeze. Street parking is available, but it's metered, so keep that in mind. What I love about George's is the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the staff, who have worked there for ages. They're friendly, keep things clean, and make sure your food arrives in a timely manner. The menu is large, so there's plenty to choose from, and you can't go wrong with any of the options. I bring my family here every Monday morning, and it's become a cherished tradition. The waiters make us feel right at home, and the food has never disappointed. Overall, George's Diner offers great service and tasty food, making it a go-to breakfast spot for us.

I'm so happy to have found this local diner while visiting Yonkers. The staff is attentive and super friendly, and the food is both delicious and reasonably priced. They even have their own parking across the street, which is always a plus. We decided on a whim to eat here at 7am on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the chilaquiles, which was exactly what we were craving, and we were so satisfied. The salsa verde had just the right amount of spice, and the chips tasted homemade and perfectly crunchy. I've been coming here with my girlfriend for breakfast and brunch for months now, and it's become our favorite spot to grab a meal, whether early in the day or in the evening. The food is fantastic, and the staff is great. My family and I also had a wonderful experience, with portions more than enough to satisfy us. Our server, Yuni, was excellent and went above and beyond, making us eager to return.
Star Diner
66 E Post Rd, White Plains

Tommy Zamora
Star Diner in Yonkers is a true gem for breakfast lovers. It's a classic New York greasy spoon in the best way possible, reminiscent of the diners that are becoming increasingly rare. The prices are incredibly affordable, and the food quality is impressive. Everything was served hot, which is a crucial point for me. The portions were generous, making it a great value for money. The menu is extensive, filled with a variety of options and specials, ensuring there's something for everyone. A little salt and pepper, and you're all set. It's worth noting that you'll need to bring cash, but there's an ATM available in the vestibule for convenience. One standout is their burger—be sure to order a double since they're a bit thin, but it's honestly one of the best hamburgers I've tried. The atmosphere is genuine and welcoming, creating a memorable dining experience. If you want to treat yourself to a hearty and satisfying meal without breaking the bank, this diner is the place to go.
Central Plaza Diner

Central Plaza Diner in Yonkers is a gem for breakfast. It's a smaller spot, which adds to its charm with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite its size, the menu covers all the classic diner options you'd expect. We stopped here during a road trip around New York State, and it turned out to be the best meal of our journey. The exterior might not be flashy, but inside, it's cool and cheerful, perfect on a hot day. Our server was incredibly friendly, and the veal scallopini with asparagus, portobello mushrooms, red bell peppers, and sun-dried tomatoes in marsala sauce was outstanding and reasonably priced. This diner, a family-owned establishment, truly shines with fresh food and exceptional service. The owners, Andy and Dino, clearly care about both quality food and customer satisfaction. The attentive staff made us feel right at home. Plus, the menu is fabulous—don't miss out on the excellent Irish sausage and beautiful muffins. We originally popped in while visiting our daughter at school, looking for a breakfast spot, and it felt just like home with generous portions and spot-on service. Free parking is a bonus, too. Highly recommend this place for a hearty meal with a personal touch.
New York Bagels Deli & Catering

Bubby Mederos
I had the chance to experience breakfast catering from New York Bagels Deli & Catering in Yonkers for my cousin's brunch, and it was fantastic. The service provided everything we needed, and the food was really good with generous portions. While the bagels were just average, the overall quality and customer service made up for it. It's one of the best delis I've been to, with a team that ensures your order is taken promptly without much wait. The only downside is that they don't stay open later in the day, which would be a great addition. Despite any minor issues, the food and service truly stand out.
Estrella's Deli Coffee Shop
7 New School St, Yonkers

Oscar Ratliff
I had a fantastic experience at Estrella's Deli Coffee Shop for breakfast in Yonkers. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, making it a great spot for gathering. The food is fresh and delicious, with a wide range of options for both breakfast and lunch. On weekends, you can treat yourself to homemade carnitas, barbacoa, and consome, which adds a special touch to the menu. The muffins are made fresh daily, and I highly recommend trying them. The coffee was decent, and I found it a nice change from the usual Dunkin' runs. I particularly enjoyed the sausages and peppers on a roll; they were flavorful and satisfying. While the drinks are a bit on the pricier side, I find that to be the norm everywhere, so it wasn't much of a concern. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, and the overall experience was enhanced by the wonderful staff who made sure everything was just right. Although it's a small and somewhat pricey place, the quality of food and service makes it worth it. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Bronxville Diner

The Bronxville Diner is a fantastic spot for breakfast in Yonkers. This place is a true throwback with its classic diner look and retro decor, which I absolutely love. The ambiance is superb, and the staff is incredibly attentive. It's great to see that they offer healthy options too. I tried the protein breakfast, and it was definitely worth it. The lemon poppy seed pancakes were mouthwatering. Another plus is that parking is free on weekends for those of us coming from out of town. During my visit for Father's Day, the Canadian omelet was delicious, and the team was very friendly. This diner definitely hits the mark with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. I’m a huge fan of its bright, nostalgic feel and will definitely be back.
Highridge Bagel Factory

I had breakfast at Highridge Bagel Factory in Yonkers and overall, it was a pleasant experience. I've been coming here regularly, and I'm always impressed by the variety of options available. The croissant BEC was perfect, just like I remembered. The bagels are fresh, and it's a great spot to grab a quick breakfast, especially if you're charging your EV in the parking lot. Service has generally been good, and most of the staff are polite and helpful, making the visit enjoyable. While there have been a few hiccups with service on occasion, it's clear that they aim to cater to their customers. Yes, the prices have gone up a bit, but that's happening everywhere, and I think the quality of the food here is worth it. Overall, it's a great little bagel store that serves as a convenient and tasty breakfast stop.
The Original Pancake House
170 Hamilton Ave, White Plains
(914) 683-3770
Irina Degollado
I finally decided to stop by The Original Pancake House in Yonkers after driving past it for years, and I'm really glad I did. The breakfast was delicious! The pancakes were nice and fluffy, and the eggs Benedict hit the spot. The coffee was also good, perfect for starting the day. While the three cheese omelette was tasty, the buttermilk pancakes and biscuit with gravy were just okay. The place has that typical diner vibe and is quite busy, so be ready to wait a bit or join their waitlist online. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly, even though they seemed a bit busy. The food came out fast, and the wait staff were attentive. One downside was the faux leather seats, which were ripped and could use some fixing. Overall, I had a good experience. The food was enjoyable, and I appreciated the friendly atmosphere. I might explore more of the menu next time, and I'm hopeful they spruce up the seating soon.
The Wedge Sandwich Shop
28 Warburton Ave, Yonkers
(914) 327-4222
Matt Arango
Stopped by The Wedge Sandwich Shop for breakfast and was blown away by the turkey sandwich I ordered. Loaded with lettuce, tomato, mayo, vinegar, and cheese, it was hands down the best sandwich I've had in the area. The staff was wonderful, with a friendly young lady taking my order and a kind older man handing it to me. This spot has been on my radar for years, and I regret not trying it sooner. The menu is fantastic—no bad sandwiches here. The broccoli rabe is hearty, and I'm a huge fan of both the chopped cheese and the chicken chopped cheese, especially with the perfectly seasoned sauce. On another visit, I tried the tuna salad sandwich and eggplant panini. Both were fresh and delicious, with high-quality ingredients. The chicken parmigiana wedge, sweet potato fries, and mozzarella sticks were also amazing, and everything was ready in under 10 minutes. Service is top-notch with attentive and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!
Louie's Dale Diner
189 W 231st St, Bronx
(718) 549-4445
Patricio Camacho Marcano
Last week, I decided to try out Dale Diner for breakfast with my family, and it exceeded my expectations. The place was spotless, the food was not only good but also well-presented, and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. While doing my laundry next door, I thought I'd grab breakfast at the diner. I loved the classic diner vibe, and the service was quick. I hadn't had an Irish Breakfast in over a decade, but it was a treat to have it here at Dale. The combination of white and black pudding, sausage link, and sliced ham was just right, not too much but perfectly flavorful. The meats were well-done, and the eggs and home fries were soft and fluffy, which was a nice contrast. The service was amazing, and our waitress was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The coffee, tea, and dessert were also delicious. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend this place for a great breakfast experience.
McDonald's
1144 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers

Kawains Walker
This hometown McDonald's in Yonkers has been a staple for many years and recently got a nice remodel. The atmosphere is bright, cheerful, and very welcoming – it’s even handicapped accessible with a great children's eating section. I visited on 03/30/24 around 7:45 AM, and the food was fresh and satisfying. Although I stopped by again at 11:40 PM and grabbed a Filet-O-Fish sandwich with extra cheese, a small fry, and a strawberry milkshake. It was tasty, though I wish they’d added another slice of cheese! It came out to $14, which was a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality. Compared to another location where I had a bad experience with my order being mixed up and the manager being rude, this McDonald’s in Yonkers is top-notch. The service here is always fast and friendly. I’ve never waited more than ten minutes for my order, usually just five. Plus, it’s one of the few places where the ice cream machine is always working. Definitely try the Grimace shake while it’s available. I'm glad this McDonald's is close to home because it never disappoints and consistently provides excellent food and service.
Applebee's Grill + Bar

Applebee's Grill + Bar in Yonkers is a fantastic spot for breakfast. They offer a wide selection of food and drinks, with medium to large portions that leave you satisfied. The quality of the ingredients is impressive, and everything tastes amazing. The staff is incredibly polite and helpful, contributing to a family-friendly atmosphere. Service is fast, and the presentation of the food is spot on. They have spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas, so there's always a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal. Prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the experience. I've been coming here weekly for two years and have never had a bad experience. I'm particularly fond of the Blue LIT, but I have to give special credit to Abraham, a wonderful bartender. Genesis, one of the servers, is fantastic too. Her Mango LIT, aptly named "The Genesis," is a must-try, especially after a long week. Just ask for her Monday through Friday, and you won't be disappointed. The Cross County Mall location is my favorite. The sirloin steak is excellent, and my kids always have a great time. The only downside was the photographer who takes pictures and then tries to sell them, but we'll be prepared for that next time. Overall, I highly recommend this Applebee's for a delightful dining experience.
